Abstract

The Influence of Cropping Systems and Plant Trimming on Growth and Yield of Maize and Soybean. This study aimed to determine the effect of monoculture and intercropping systems and plant trimming on growth and yield of maize and soybean as well as farm income. The experiment was conducted in rainfed lowland at Mojosari Experimental Farm, Mojokerto Regency, East Java during the late dry season in 2012. Randomized block design with nine treatments of planting systems and three replications was used in this experiment. The planting system tested were: (1) Monoculture of soybean with planting space of 40 cm x 15 cm, (2) Monoculture of maize with planting space of 75 cm x 20 cm, without trim, (3) Monoculture of maize with planting space of 75 cm x 20 cm, and trimming the leaves and stems above the cob, (4) Intercropping of soybean-maize (90/60 cm x 20 cm, without trimming), (5) Intercropping of soybean-maize (90/60 cm x 20 cm, trimming the leaves and stems above the cob), (6) Intercropping of soybean-maize (150 cm x 20 cm, without trimming), (7) Intercropping of soybean-maize (150 cm x 20 cm, trimming the leaves and stems above the cob), (8) Intercropping of soybean-maize (180/120 cm x 20 cm, without trimming), (9) intercropping of soybeans-maize (180/120 cm x 20 cm, trimming the leaves and stems above the cob). The results showed that the intercropping system affected the growth and yield of soybean and maize compared to monoculture system. The intercropping system increased the plant height, but reduced the number of pod, seed, node, branch and seed yield of soybean compared the monoculture. Plant height, cob length, cob diameter, 100 seed weight, and yield of maize in intercropping decreased compared to those of monoculture system. Based on land equivalent ratio, total yield and net income, the intercropping soybean-maize with plating space of 150 cm x 20 cm with trimming the leaves and stems above the cob would be suggested and prospective to be developed in the farmer’s fields. Key words: Soybean, maize, intercroppingPenelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh sistem tanam monokultur dan tumpangsari kedelai-jagung dan pemangkasan tanaman jagung terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman serta pendapatan usahatani. Penelitian dilaksanakan di lahan sawah tadah hujan, KP. Mojosari, Kabupaten Mojokerto, Jawa Timur pada MK I 2012. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah acak kelompok dengan tiga ulangan dan sembilan perlakuan. Perlakuannya adalah sistem tanam, yaitu: (1) monokultur kedelai dengan jarak tanam 40 cm x 15 cm, (2) monokultur jagung dengan jarak tanam 75 cm x 20 cm, tanpa pangkas, (3) monokultur jagung dengan pangkas daun bawah dan batang diatas tongkol, (4) tumpangsari kedelai-jagung dengan jarak tanam 90/60 cm x 20 cm, tanpa pangkas daun, (5) tumpangsari kedelai-jagung dengan jarak tanam 90/60 cm x 20 cm dengan pangkas daun bawah dan batang diatas tongkol, (6) tumpangsari kedelai-jagung dengan jarak tanam 150 cm x 20 cm, tanpa pangkas daun, (7) tumpangsari kedelai-jagung dengan jarak tanam 150 cm x 20 cm, pangkas daun bawah dan batang diatas tongkol, (8) tumpangsari kedelai-jagung dengan jarak tanam 180/120 cm x 20 cm, tanpa pangkas daun, (9) tumpangsari kedelai-jagung dengan jarak tanam 180/120 cm x 20 cm, pangkas daun bawah dan batang diatas tongkol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem tumpangsari kedelai-jagung menyebabkan tanaman kedelai bertambah tinggi, tetapi terjadi penurunan dalam jumlah polong, jumlah biji, jumlah buku, jumlah cabang, dan hasil biji. Sistem tumpangsari juga menyebabkan terjadinya penurunan tinggi tanaman jagung, panjang tongkol, diameter tongkol, bobot 100 biji, dan hasil biji. Berdasarkan nilai LER (Land Equivalent Ratio), total hasil setara kedelai, dan pendapatan (keuntungan) usahatani, maka sistem tanam tumpangsari kedelai-jagung pada jarak tanam 150 cm x 20 cm dengan pemangkasan daun bawah dan batang di atas tongkol pada umur 80 hari prospektif untuk dikembangkan di lahan petani.   Kata kunci: Kedelai, jagung, tumpangsari

Abstract

Berau delta is a coastal ecosystem where man-made activities are relatively low. The present study has investigated spatial distribution of Pb, Cr, Cu and Zn in sediments and their implication to benthic biota. The result of our study showed that metal concentrations varied from undetected to 55.53 mg kg-1 for Pb and from 3.28 to 22.9 mg kg-1 for Cu, while for Cr and Zn vary from 9.65 to 64.67 mg kg-1 and 10.00 to 1,200 mg kg-1, respectively. The concentrations of Pb, Cu, Cr and Zn in Anadara sp were 7.53 ± 2.06, 4.92 ± 0.55, 1.44 ± 0.12 and 97.87 ± 9.12 mg kg-1 dry weight (dw), respectively. On the other hand, the Pb, Cr, Cu and Zn in Telescopium mauritsi were 4.49 ± 0.03, 0.87 ± 0.05, 259.0 ± 0.01 and 64.78 ± 0.01 mg kg-1 dw, respectively. In conclusion, spatial distribution of trace metals (Pb, Cu, Cr and Zn) in sediments showed that higher concentrations were found in the southern part of the delta, and the accumulation of the metals by mollusk might reflect natural concentrations in biota.

Abstract

Rendahnya kemampuan kekuatan otot pada atlet handball porda Garut menjadi latar belakang masalah penelitian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh latihan squat thrust terhadap kekuatan otot tungkai, otot lengan dan otot pinggang dalam permainan handball. Jenis penelitian desain pre eksperimen dengan one group pre-test end post-tes design. Populasi atlet handball porda Garut berjumlah 16 pemain. Pengambilan sampel di lakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling yakni 13 pemain. Pengumpulan data dengan melaksanakan tes awal (pre-test) dan tes akhir (post-test) dengan squat jump, push up, dan back up. Teknik analisis data menggunakan rumus uji t (Independent Sample T-Test) taraf signifikan H1 = 0,05. Dari analisis data diperoleh hasil : terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan latihan squat thrust terhadap kekuatan otot tungkai yang awalnya 32.54 menjadi 60.69. Terdapat pengaruh latihan squat thrust terhadap otot lengan yang awalnya 30.31 menjadi 40.08. Terdapat pengaruh latihan squat thrust terhadap otot pinggang yang awalnya 34.54 menjadi 43.54. Bisa kita lihat dari rata-rata ini bahwa ada perubahan setelah melakukan treatment metode latihan squat thrust terhadap kekuatan otot tungkai, otot lengan dan otot pinggang dalam permainan handball.

Abstract

Pembelajaran renang tidaklah mudah, sama halnya dengan yang dialami oleh. Dimana mereka masih banyak yang mengalami kesulitan dalam belajar berenang. Permasalahan ini didasari dengan (1) masih banyak siswa yang belum menguasai teknik dasar renang gaya bebas dan dada (2) banyak siswa yang takut tenggelam ketika pembelajaran renang atau pembelajaran akuatik (3) banyak siswa yang kurang percaya diri ketika pembelajaran renang atau pembelajaran akuatik. penelitian yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh modifikasi par practice method terhadap keterampilan renang gaya bebas dan gaya dada. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen. Penelitian ini menggunakan salah satu jenis penelitian eksperimen yaitu pre-experimental design dengan desain penelitian One Group Pretest Posttest Design. Untuk meningkatkan keterampilan renang gaya bebas dan dada diberikan program latihan sebanyak 12 pertemuan. populasi yang akan digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X IPA III SMA N 15 Garut yang berjumlah 36 siswa, kemudian sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil sebanyak 10 orang siswa dengan teknik sampling menggunakan purposive sampling Berdasarkan hasil uji t diketahui rata-rata pada keterampilan renang gaya bebas sebesar 7,00, sedangkan rata-rata pada keterampilan renang gaya dada sebesar 8,40. Berdasarkan hasil uji t-Test pada keterampilan renang gaya bebas diperoleh nilai t sebesar 8,30 0,699 dan nilai signifikansinya lebih kecil dari 0,05 (0,00 0,05) sedangkan pada keterampilan pada renang gaya dada diperoleh nilai t sebesar 13,20 0,699 dan nilai signifikasni kurang dari 0,05 (0,00 0,05). Berdasarkan deskripsi, pengujian hasil penelitian, dan pembahasan dapat diambil kesimpulan yaitu bahwa adanya pengaruh yang signifikan program latihan modifikasi part practice terhadap keterampilan renang gaya bebas dan dada.Kata Kunci: Part Practice Method, Renang Gaya Bebas Dan Dada

Abstract

Lemahnya pukulan dan masih banyaknya kesalahan saat melakukan pukulan dropshot yaitu pukulan dropshot yang tidak sampai atau dropshot yang dikatakan tanggung sehingga dapat dengan mudah lawan mengembalikannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah efektif penerapan latihan dumbbell untuk meningkatkan hasil pukulan dropshot, serta untuk mengetahui seberapa jauh kemampuan para pemain bulutangkis di SMAN 15 Garut dalam melakukan pukulan dropshot. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kuantitatif dengan desain one grup pre-test and post-test design. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan test ketepatan dropshot. Hasil penelitihan yaitu terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan yaitu dengan nilai rerata pretest (23.0667) dan posttest (39.8000). Ketepatan hasil pukulan dropshot pemain bulutangkis di SMAN 15 Garut menunjukan kategori “Sangat Baik” sebanyak 2 pemain dengan persentase 13,3%, kategori “Baik” sebanyak 6 pemain dengan persentase 40%, kategori “Cukup” sebanyak 5 pemain dengan persentase 33,4% dan kategori “Kurang” sebanyak 2 pemain dengan persentase 13,3%. Didapat hasil yang efektif dengan menerapkan latihan dumbbell karena latihan dumbbell dapat meningkatkan kekuatan otot tangan serta kelenturan atau kelentukan pergelangan tangan para pemain di ekstrakurikuler bulutangkis di SMAN 15 Garut.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the drill and practice training method on basic passing skills in futsal. The problem addressed is the lack of mastery in basic passing techniques due to limited training variations, which affects passing accuracy. This research uses an experimental method with a pretest-posttest design on a single group, with 15 beginner athletes from Planet Futsal as the research subjects. The test used is a rebound board test with a validity of 0.79 and a reliability of 1.80. Data analysis was performed using a t-test with a significance level of 0.05%. The results show that before treatment, the t-value = 2.43 > t-table = 3.52, and after treatment, the t-value = -16.33 < t-table = 2.76, with a Gain score of 0.47. In conclusion, the drill and practice training method improved passing skills by 47% in beginner athletes at Planet Futsal.

Abstract

This increase in physical fitness is a must in the learning process. Physical fitness not only has a good effect on the development of affective aspects in students, but good physical fitness can also have an effect on student learning outcomes. This problem is based on the lack of aspects of physical fitness (endurance, muscle endurance, and speed). The method used in this research is experimental research. This study used a type of experimental research, namely the pre-experimental design with the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design (Ali Maksum, 2012). Based on the results of the t test, it is known that the pre-test average is 1.5 after being given physical education and sports treatment in 16 meetings, the post-test value is 3.31 so it is known that the increase is 1.75. Furthermore, based on the t-test, the t-count value is 12.124. The t-table value with a df of 25 at a significant level of 5% is 0.144. Therefore t-count > t-table (12.124 > 0.144) and the significance value is smaller than 0.05 (0.00 <0.05) so that it can be stated that there is a significant increase in the score of physical fitness results by being given physical education and exercise during 16 meetings, description, testing of research results, and discussion, it can be concluded that there is an influence of physical education and exercise on physical fitness

Abstract

Abstract In futsal, you are required to have and master basic techniques aimed at playing futsal skills. Players also need One of the dasar techniques is dribbling. Players of futsal must master the fundamentals of dribbling. need a training program so they can improve the basic techniques of Dribbling futsal for the better. This study used a type of experimental research with the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design, because this research aims to find out the development of Boomerang Run Exercises Using Video Animation to Improve Basic Dribbling Techniques for Futsal Games at SMPN 6 Garut. Twenty persons made up the overall population and twenty people made up the sample for this study, which used the futsal dribbling test instrument. Less than 30 people make up the study's relatively tiny population. Fourteen meetings were held to conduct the study. The findings of data processing using SPSS 22 were used to determine the average pretest and posttest values. Basic dribbling skills are significantly improved by the boomerang run training program that uses video animation, as seen by the average pre-test score of 2.65 and post-test score of 4.25. As a result, this training program is appropriate for enhancing the fundamental dribbling skills of SMPN 6 Garut futsal extracurricular students. Keyword: Dribbling, Futsal, Boomerang Run

Abstract

The development of physical education learning is a systematic process that facilitates the effective and efficient formation of a complete individual by managing the interaction between students, educators, and the environment. Objective. The purpose of this investigation was to ascertain the impact of ball modification on the capabilities of SMAN 17 Garut. Materials and Methods. The Quasi-Experimental research procedure was implemented in this investigation. Ballhandling training is a technique that is used to facilitate the communication of a learning process or to establish learning objectives for students. It can be modified to include game forms, tools, and other learning processes. The sample in this research consisted of 42 students, while the population consisted of all students at SMAN 17 Garut. Purposive sampling techniques were implemented in this investigation. The author employed observation to gather data on the dribbling abilities of students. Results. The data analysis test concluded that the impact of ball modification on the results of fundamental movements and students' playing in football, basketball, and volleyball games of SMAN 17 Garut students was 7.3%. A total of 42 pupils exhibited a substantial impact. Conclusion. The study's conclusion is that the modification of learning instruments and methods can enhance the effectiveness of systematically designed physical education. At SMAN 17 Garut, ball modifications have been demonstrated to have a substantial and beneficial impact on the enhancement of fundamental playing skills, particularly in the area of agility, for soccer, basketball, and volleyball games. This effect is evident in the observations of students who are participating in the study. It is recommended that additional researchers investigate additional variables that influence physical abilities, including psychological factors and motivation. It is also crucial to increase the population by involving additional institutions. Furthermore, research can evaluate the duration and intensity of training, as well as the integration of a variety of learning methodologies. It is also strongly advised to conduct a long-term assessment of the effects of ball modifications and an analysis of the types of instruments used. Lastly, student interviews can offer supplementary information regarding their learning experiences.
