Abstract

Filsafat konstruktivisme merupakan salah satu landasan penting dalam pendidikan modern yang menekankan peran aktif peserta didik dalam membangun pengetahuan melalui pengalaman dan interaksi sosial. Dalam konteks pendidikan Indonesia yang tengah mengimplementasikan Kurikulum Merdeka, pendekatan konstruktivistik menjadi semakin relevan, tidak hanya dalam proses pembelajaran, tetapi juga dalam layanan bimbingan dan konseling (BK). Permasalahan yang muncul adalah masih terbatasnya pemahaman dan kajian komprehensif mengenai integrasi filsafat konstruktivisme dalam layanan BK, khususnya dalam pengembangan keterampilan sosial siswa. Padahal, keterampilan sosial seperti kemampuan berkomunikasi, bekerja sama, empati, dan pengendalian diri merupakan kompetensi esensial bagi keberhasilan siswa dalam kehidupan pribadi dan sosial. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran filsafat konstruktivisme dalam layanan bimbingan dan konseling bagi pengembangan keterampilan sosial siswa di lingkungan sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi literatur (literature review) dengan menelaah artikel ilmiah nasional dan internasional yang relevan dan dipublikasikan dalam rentang waktu 2017–2025. Proses kajian meliputi identifikasi tema, seleksi artikel berdasarkan kriteria kredibilitas dan keterkaitan topik, analisis isi, serta sintesis temuan penelitian. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa filsafat konstruktivisme, baik dalam perspektif kognitif maupun sosial, menempatkan siswa sebagai subjek aktif dalam membangun makna pengalaman belajar dan sosialnya. Penerapan prinsip konstruktivistik dalam layanan BK memperkuat peran konselor sebagai fasilitator reflektif yang membantu siswa mengembangkan pemahaman diri, nilai personal, serta kualitas interaksi sosial secara adaptif dan kontekstual. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa integrasi filsafat konstruktivisme dalam layanan bimbingan dan konseling memberikan kontribusi teoretis dan praktis yang signifikan dalam pengembangan keterampilan sosial siswa secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The phenomenon underlying this research indicates an increase in self-harming behavior among junior high school students. This study aims to reduce such behavior through group counseling using cognitive behavioral techniques, specifically cognitive restructuring. The research method employed is a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest. The results show a decrease in self-harm behavior scores among the students. This is supported by the paired sample t-test statistical analysis, which indicates a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000, meaning it is less than 0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that group counseling using cognitive behavioral techniques, particularly cognitive restructuring, is effective in reducing self-harm behavior among students at SMP Negeri 1 Rajadesa. The behavioral changes observed in students after participating in this counseling include a decrease in the frequency of self-harm, improved emotional stability, enhanced coping skills, increased self-awareness, and greater social involvement.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to measure the effectiveness of group counseling services using the Individual-Oriented approach in supporting students to adapt at the Walyatalaththof Darussalam Kebumen Islamic Boarding School. The type of research applied in this study was a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design research method through pretest and posttest in one group. This study was a pre-experimental design with a pretest-posttest design in one group to determine the results of the treatment more precisely because it can be compared with the conditions before the treatment was given. The subjects of the study were class VII students of PP Walyatalaththof Darussalam Kebumen, namely 6 students who had low self-adjustment criteria. The study was conducted in 8 sessions, each for 40 minutes. The researcher collected data by utilizing a self-adjustment scale. Based on the results of the research analysis, it was obtained that, (1) Before participating in group counseling with a person-centered approach, the Subjects got an average score of 60.66, which was included in the "low" category. After undergoing a group counseling session with a person-centered approach, the subjects experienced an increase in value from the low category to the high category, with an average value reaching 96. The results of the analysis showed a significance value of 0.000. By considering this value which is below 0.05, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) must be rejected. This shows that group counseling services with a person-centered approach are effective in improving the adjustment abilities of students at the Walyatalaththof Darussalam Kebumen Islamic Boarding School.
