Abstract

This study aims to develop card-based learning media for IPAS (Integrated Natural and Social Sciences) learning in fifth-grade elementary schools. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The subjects of this study were fifth-grade students of SD Negeri Labuy, Aceh Besar. Data were collected through material expert validation, media expert validation, teacher response questionnaires, student response questionnaires, and documentation. The results showed that the card-based learning media obtained a validation score of 100,00% from material experts and 100,00% from media experts, indicating very valid criteria. Furthermore, the teacher response reached 100,00% and the student response reached 98,86%, indicating that the developed media is very practical and feasible to be used in IPAS learning. Abstract

Extreme poverty in Jambi Province, especially in Kota Baru District with 765 extremely poor households, is a serious challenge. This study analyzes the economic, social, demographic characteristics and income determinants of extremely poor households. Using a quantitative approach, descriptive-explanatory design, primary data from a structured questionnaire on 88 respondents (Cluster Random Sampling from a population of 765 heads of families) and secondary data from BPS and local agencies. Multiple linear regression analysis EViews 12 tested the influence of education, age, dependents, working hours, occupations that passed the classical assumption. The results showed that education (β = 63,817.27, p = 0.000), dependents (β = 45,743.35, p = 0.004), working hours (β = 61,769.63, p = 0.063) had a significant positive effect; age had a significant negative effect (β = -8,326.75, p = 0.003); employment was not significant (p=0.148), explaining 70.4% of the variance in income (R²=0.704). The conclusion recommends vocational training and flexible work policies to alleviate poverty

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the socio-economic characteristics of farmers and examine the influence of land area, selling price of Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB), plant age, and production costs on production volume and its impact on oil palm farming income in Suko Awin Jaya Village, Sekernan District, Muaro Jambi Regency. The analysis methods used include descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis using the Multiple Linear Regression model, complemented by classical assumption tests and hypothesis testing (F-test and t-test). The results showed that simultaneously, all independent variables had a significant effect on production volume with a coefficient of determination (R 2) of 0.836550, meaning these variables explain 84% of the production variation. Partially, land area and production costs have a positive and significant influence on production volume. Conversely, the plant age variable has a negative and significant effect, indicating that older plants tend to have declining productivity. The average income of farmers in the study location reached IDR 12,780,474 per month, indicating that this farming business is financially viable as it is well above the minimum wage standard of Jambi Province.
