Abstract

One of the household businesses in the field of shrimp paste processing located in Gampong Simpang Lhee, West Langsa District, Langsa City is terasi awaina. From the observations that have been made, the process of printing shrimp paste is still carried out conventionally using hands, so the process of printing shrimp paste takes a long time and produces a paste print that is not uniform in size, therefore the PKM team offers an appropriate technology in the form of a screw press machine as a paste printer. The method of this community service activity is carried out by providingn information and solutions about the products offered, as well asstrengthening the screw press machine design needed by partners, then conducting training on how to operate and maintain the screw press machine , then the latter performs mentoring during and after the program. From the results of the evaluation that has been carried out by the PKM team, it is certain that the business of terasi awaina gampong simpang lhee has been skilled in using screw press machines, it is hoped that with the screw press machine, the production of awaina paste will increase.

Abstract

The agricultural sector has a very significant contribution to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's) and is also the second largest contributor to Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Aceh's agricultural sector excels in various commodities such as rice, corn, soybeans, and chili. One of the main commodities in Aceh's agricultural sector is rice. Rice is a staple food commodity for the Indonesian people whose needs continue to increase along with the increase in population and also as a source of income for the farming community in meeting their needs. The volume of rice production from year to year fluctuates greatly, experiencing a decrease or increase. the realization of the rice harvest from January to December 2022 amounted to 271.75 thousand hectares, or decreased by around 25.31 thousand hectares (8.52 percent) compared to 2021 which reached 297.06 thousand hectares. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that affect the volume of rice production in Aceh Province. The results of the study obtained a regression model Y = 556505,224 + 3,081 X1-1376,14 X2 + 139,57 X3 + 92,797 X4-1,019 X5. The results of the simultaneous test show that the harvest area, rainfall, irrigation area, seed use, and labor together or simultaneously have a significant effect on rice production at a significance level of 0.05. Partially, the variable that has a positive and significant effect on rice production is the variable of harvest area. In addition, the variable area of irrigation and the use of seeds also have a positive effect on rice production but not significant. Meanwhile, the variables of average rainfall and labor have a negative effect on rice paddy production.

Abstract

Abstrak KEK pada ibu hamil memiliki prevalensi global 35-75%, Indonesia berada di urutan keempat (35,5%) (Abadi & Putri, 2020). KEK pada ibu hamil dapat menyebabkan komplikasi seperti persalinan sulit, anemia, dan risiko kesehatan bagi ibu dan bayi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor individu dan lingkungan yang berhubungan dengan KEK pada ibu hamil di Puskesmas Ambacang. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Desember 2023 hingga Juni 2024 dengan jumlah sampel 102 ibu hamil. Pengambilan sampel diambil menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Analisis menggunakan uji chi-square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan faktor-faktor seperti usia ibu, pendidikan, pengetahuan, jarak melahirkan, paritas, pendapatan keluarga, dan kunjungan ANC tidak signifikan dengan KEK (p > 0,05). Faktor-faktor tersebut tidak memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan KEK pada ibu hamil di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Ambacang. Meskipun demikian masih ditemukan ibu hamil dengan KEK berjumlah 11 orang di Wilayah kerja Puskesmas Ambacang.

Abstract

This study analyzes the differences in unemployment rates in North Sumatra Province in 2019 and 2022 that can be attributed to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. The data used were obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of North Sumatra Province and cover the unemployment rates in 33 districts/cities. This study uses non-parametric statistical methods, namely the Sign Test and Wilcoxon Test, to examine whether there is a significant difference in the unemployment rate between the two years. The analysis results show that although there is a significant correlation between the unemployment rates in 2019 and 2022, the Sign Test did not find a significant difference between the two years. Thus, this research provides an overview of the impact of the pandemic on the unemployment rate in North Sumatra Province, which can be used as a consideration in formulating future employment policies.

Abstract

Educational quality management has become a strategic topic in the era of globalization because it plays a crucial role in improving institutional effectiveness and learning quality. The application of quality management principles, such as Total Quality Management (TQM) and the process approach, has been implemented in various educational institutions, although the results and approaches are still varied. This study aims to systematically examine the principles and benefits of quality management in education and to answer two main questions: (1) what are the most dominant quality management principles used in education, and (2) what is the impact of implementing these principles on improving educational quality. The research method used is a Literature Review with a qualitative approach. Data were collected from Google Scholar and Publish or Perish (PoP) databases using the keywords "principles and benefits of quality management in education." Of the 50 articles published between 2020 and 2025, 5 were selected for further analysis. The analysis yielded three main themes: the application of TQM principles, challenges in quality implementation, and the role of leadership in maintaining the sustainability of educational quality. In general, the implementation of quality management has been shown to improve organizational effectiveness, educator professionalism, and the overall quality of learning outcomes. This study also recommends further studies focusing on the integration of quality management principles with digital transformation in education.
