The fuel system is one of the main engine support systems which is very important in the operation of the KM Sidomulyo main engine. Main engine on ships are operated 24 hours a week or more. The operation main engine needs special treatment of the components on the main engine to prevent failure during operation. Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) is a method that can be used to identify the priority scale in maintaining a machine by evaluating the risk of failure that occurs on the machine. This study applies FMEA to determine the priority scale for the maintenance of the KM Sidomulyo main engine fuel system. The results of the identification using FMEA, namely the injector and fuel filter components are components that must be prioritized for maintenance. The Risk Priority Number (RPN) values of the injector and fuel filter components are 192 and 168, respectively. Maintenance priority is based on the component RPN value is above the critical RPN value of the main engine fuel system and includes the priority component on the Pareto diagram. The type of maintenance applied to the injector component is checking dirty fuel which can cause the injector to operate less optimally. While the fuel filter component is cleaning the deposits on the fuel filter cartridge. It is recommended that the inspection of other components be carried out so that the condition of the main engine fuel system has good reliability.

Energi listrik saat ini telah menjelma menjadi kebutuhan pokok bagi para penggunanya. Dalam suatu kapal penangkap ikan, energi listrik selain dibutuhkan dalam kegiatan navigasi juga dibutuhkan sebagai alat bantu dalam proses penangkapan ikan dimana dalam proses penangkapan ikan tersebut menggunakan lampu sorot atau flood light untuk memancing kehadiran ikan tangkapan mendekati kapal. Pada umumnya system instalasi listrik tiga phasa dapat dikatakan baik bila system pembagian beban pada system tersebut seimbang. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mencari nilai presentase ketidakseimbangan arus listrik pada instalasi listrik tiga phasa pada kapal penangkap ikan KM. Sumber Rezeki. Selain itu penelitian ini juga memiliki tujuan untuk mencari nilai rata-rata presentase pembebanan arus listrik pada setiap phasa pada generator tersebut dan juga mencari nilai efisiensi generator pada KM. Sumber Rezeki. Dari hasil perhitungan didapatkan bahwa presentase ketidakseimbangan instalasi listrik tiga phasa KM. Sumber Rezeki pada saat generator beroperasi maksimal berada pada angka 6,5%. Dari hasil perhitungan juga didapatkan bahwa rata-rata presentase pembebanan pada generator listrik KM. Maradona adalah senilai 68,6% dengan nilai arus rata-rata sebesar 68 Ampere. Berbanding lurus dengan nilai arus rata-rata, nilai daya semu rata-rata KM. Sumber Rezeki berada pada angka 45,5 kVA dengan rata-rata nilai efisiensi generator sebesar 70,06%.

Efficiency value is a measure that can inform us that a machine that operates can be said to be efficient or not. This study aims to find the efficiency value of the electric generator on the fishing vessel KM. Maradona. In addition, this study also aims to find the average percentage value of electric current on each phase of the generator and also to find the average value of the percentage imbalance of load sharing in three-phase electrical installations in KM. Maradona. From the calculation, it is found that the percentage of imbalance of three-phase electrical installations KM. Maradona when the generator operates can reach 31.11%. From the calculation, it is also found that the average percentage load on the electric generator of KM. Maradona maximum value is 22.35% with an average current value of 25.50 Ampere. Directly proportional to the maximum average current value, the maximum electrical power value of KM. Maradona is only at 16.80 kVA with an efficiency value of 22.40%.

Sistem pendingin dilengkapi dalam mesin untuk pendingin dan mencegah terjadinya panas yang berlebihan, sistem pendingin disamping bertujuan untuk mencegah keadaan tersebut, diperlukan untuk mengatur dan mempertahankan suhu temperatur yang tetap dalam mesin beroperasi dengan cara mengalirkan media pendingin untuk bagian-bagian mesin yang hendak didinginkan, sistem pendingin juga harus diperhatikan agar mesin dapat beroperasi dengan baik, salah satu komponen sistem pendingin adalah alat penukar kalor (heat exchanger) mempunyai peranan yang sangat penting dalam menunjang kinerja sistem pendingin. Heat exchanger adalah suatu alat yang dimana terjadi aliran perpindahan panas diantara dua fluida atau lebih pada temperatur yang berbeda. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di atas kapal KM. Sido Mulyo Santoso Di Pelabuhan Perikanan Nusantara Sibolga. Sistem pendingin yang digunakan pada kapal KM. Sido Mulyo Santoso yaitu sistem pendingin tidak langsung, dimana sistem tidak langsung ini air laut dihisap menggunakan pompa sentrifugal kemudian air laut tersebut kemudian dihisap oleh pompa air tawar untuk dialirkan ke komponen mesin induk. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana melakukan perawatan dan pengoperasian sistem pendingin pada mesin induk yang ada di atas kapal KM. Sido Mulyo Santoso. Fisheries products from marine sector really need to be considered because Indonesia, especially in the waters of Dumai City, has abundant fish resources of up to 571 tons/year. Diversification of processed fish is a solution so that processed fish can be consumed by the community. On the other hand, the local community of Pelintung Village, Dumai City, still lacks appropriate technology that can improve the quality of processed products from diversification. Some processed fish products are of poor quality. Community service activities aim to provide knowledge transfer and use of oil draining machines so that people can improve the quality of processed fish or non-fish. This community service activity uses the method of applying the use of an oil draining machine in Pelintung Village. The essence of this event is the delivery of theoretical and practical material about oil draining machines. The pre-test was carried out before the material was delivered and the post-test was carried out after the material was delivered. Filling in the satisfaction index is done along with filling out the post-test. The results of this activity stated that the community was very enthusiastic as the percentage of correct answers for the pre-test and post-test increased. The results of the pre-test and post-test in the knowledge, operation and maintenance categories increased to 75%, 84% and 100%, respectively. The satisfaction level of participants was also stated to be satisfied with the percentage of 61.7% and getting benefits from this community service activity. This activity must continue to be evaluated so that when holding similar activities, it can be more effective, efficient and sustainable. Recommendations for service activities in the form of processing fishery products that can be practiced directly with the community will be better in the future.

Dumai City has poor quality water availability. The resulting water has poor physical and chemical conditions. Poor water quality due to the effects of industrial and home industrial waste. The decline in water quality causes the survival of living things to be disrupted. The use of water itself is used for aquaculture. Aquaculture water must have a quality that meets the standards. Therefore, water quality must be considered in aquaculture. The purpose of this study is to determine the reliability of the filter in a water filter. Water filter materials used are natural zeolite stone, silica sand, greensand sand, activated carbon, Bio-ball and cotton filter. Portable cylindrical filter device with a diameter of 25mm and length of 254mm. outdoor water quality portable water filter is tested with the acidity or pH meter, Total Dissolve Solid or the level of water clarity, Salinity, and discharge of water from the portable water filter. Discharge of water entering the portable water purifier is 0.22 Liters / second to 0.28 Liters / Second. Discharge of water that comes out is 0.13 Liters / Second to 0.16 Liters / Second. Changes in water quality can be seen from TDS, from 178ppm to 359ppm. Water quality can be seen from the pH of 8.48 mg / L to 7.95 mg / L and for Salinity from 1% to 0%. Portable water purifier can improve water quality in the city of Dumai. But in the future there should be further research on the quality of water produced from portable water purifiers.

Kota Dumai merupakan salah satu kota yang berada di provinsi Riau yang memiliki garis pantai yang Panjang. Beberapa daerah di Kota Dumai masyarakatnya memiliki mata pencarian sebagai nelayan. Kelompok Usaha Bersama Bunga Mawar yang terletak di Desa Pelintung Kota Dumai adalah salah satu kelompok nelayan. Namun, kebanyakan nelayan belum banyak mengetahui pentingnya perawatan motor diesel pada kapal. Beberapa permasalahan yang ada di motor diesel diangkat menjadi suatu kegiatan pelatihan yang berbasis edukasi. Pelatihan perawatan motor diesel pada nelayan Kelompok Usaha Bersama Bunga Mawar yang terletak di Desa Pelintung Kota Dumai terdiri dari tiga tahapan yaitu tahapan pendekatan kerangka masalah dengan survey lokasi, tahapan sosialisasi secara teoritis dan praktik, dan tahapan monitoring. Hasil pelatihan perawatan motor diesel kapal yang diikuti 15 nelayan yaitu nelayan sangat setuju adanya pelatihan tersebut. Sehingga perlu adanya pelatihan-pelatihan di bagian motor diesel lainnya agar lebih mendalam lagi. Pemberian angket kepuasan ditunjukkan guna mendapatkan masukan tentang kegiatan yang sudah dilakukan. Tingkat kepuasan peserta pelatihan ditunjukkan dengan adanya grafik yang sudah diolah dan disajikan. Harapan setelah pelatihan ini agar nelayan di Kelompok Usaha Bersama Bunga Mawar yang terletak di Desa Pelintung Kota Dumai dapat mandiri mengatasi masalah dan dapat merawat motor diesel pada kapal yang digunakan sebagai alat untuk operasi penangkapan ikan.

Heat exchanger (HE) is a component of the main engine cooling system that plays a very important role in the process of changing the fluid temperature by exchanging the amount of heat with other fluids. The use of HE in the main engine cooling system should be considered in controlling after operation. HE performance can be analyzed using heat transfer analysis in the form of heat absorbed by HE (Q), LMTD and heat transfer coefficient (U). This study aims to analyze heat transfer in the form of calculations of absorbed heat, LMTD and heat transfer coefficient on the main engine HE KM Sumber Mutiara. This study measures the temperatures of fresh water and sea water entering and leaving the HE. In addition, measurement of water discharge and determination of the dimensions of the HE used for the main engine cooling system of KM Sumber Mutiara. This research shows that the highest heat value absorbed by HE (Q) is at RPM 1200 at 44.85 kJ/s, for the LMTD value at RPM 1000 at 45.69 oC and for the U value at RPM 1100 at 824 W/m2. oC. HE main engine KM Sumber Mutiara has not maximized its performance due to the fouling factor from sea water. The need for preventive maintenance and additional filters on the KM Sumber Mutiara Main Machine Heat Exchanger to increase the effectiveness of the HE.

Sistem pelumasan adalah bagian dari salah satu sistem pendukung untuk melumasi komponen mesin pada mesin induk kapal penangkap ikan. Pengoperasian mesin induk pada kapal penangkap ikan memiliki durasi 24 jam selama 1 minggu hingga 1 bulan. Fenomena tersebut menyebabkan pengoperasian mesin secara terus menerus dapat menyebabkan penurunan kinerja bahkan kegagalan pada mesin. Beberapa kegagalan mesin induk dapat membahayakan awak kapal dan kapal itu sendiri. Oleh karena itu pemilihan perawatan pada komponen kritis sangat diperlukan. FMEA adalah salah satu metode yang sering digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi penyebab dan dampak dari kegagalan-kegagalan pada komponen suatu sistem. Penggunaan FMEA pada pemilihan prioritas perawatan sistem pelumasan mesin induk KM Mabrur telah dilakukan. Hasilnya berdasarkan analisa ambang batas RPN dan diagram pareto komponen saringan oli (RPN 288) dan oil cooler (RPN 120) perlu dilakukan tindakan perawatan. Berdasarkan kriteria RPN, komponen saringan oli dilakukan perawatan preventif dan oil cooler dilakukan perawatan korektif. Tindakan perawatan yang terjadwal dilakukan guna meningkatkan keandalan dari komponen sistem pelumas mesin induk KM Mabrur

The propeller was an important component in the fishing vessels marine propulsion system. Brass was widely used as a fishing vessel propeller. Brass was chosen because it has good mechanical properties and good corrosion resistance. The content of seawater in Indonesia has levels of 3% – 3.5% NaCl. In addition to the level of Ion Cl-, environmental factors can affect corrosion rate of material or metal. The environmental factors that affect the corrosion rate are the level of salinity, pH, DO, temperature and TDS. The objective of the present work was to explain the corrosion rate of brass in artificial seawater in Indonesia with exposure time. The material used for research is fishing vessel propeller commercial in Indonesia market. Measurement of the corrosion rate of brass used the principle of weight loss according to ASTM G31-72 (2004). During the corrosion test, the artificial seawater solution was tested for its pH and salinity quality over time of immersion. The result of immersion brass in the artificial seawater shows that the corrosion rate decreases in 1-to-10-days exposure time due to the increase in salinity levels above 30‰. While the results of exposure time immersion above 15 days tends to increase the corrosion rate due to a decrease in pH level. pH level of seawater depends on the environmental conditions and tends not to change significantly.
