AbstrakBatubara merupakan bahan bakar alternative yang kualitasnya dapat dilihat dari kandungannya, salah satunya seperti nilai kalor. Penelitian ini, nilai kalor akan dikarakterisasi menggunakan nilai kapasitansi danresistansinya. Pengukuran nilai kapasitansi menggunakan sensor kapasitif berbentuk silinder sedangkan nilairesistansi menggunakan sensor penghubung email tembaga yang dihubungkan dengan LCR meter. Dari beberapa frekuensi, didapatkan frekuensi sebesar 1 Khz yang menunjukan nilai kapasitansi dan resistansi yangstabil. Dari nilai kapasitansi, secara matematis akan dipero leh juga nilai permitivitas. Sama halnya dengan nilairesistansi, secara matematis akan diperoleh nilai resistivitas. Nilai terdapat pada sampel A dengan kalor 3.441, terukur kapasitansi sebesar 18.26 pF dan didapatkan permitivitas sebesar 63.9 pF/m . Nilai terendah padasampel K dengan nilai kalor 5.626, terukur kapasitansi sebesar 14.48 pF dan didapakan permitivitas sebesar50.6 pF/m. Sedangkan nilai resistansi dan penentuan resistivitas tertinggi pada sampel A dengan kalor 3.441 sebesar 160.1 MΩ dan didapatkan 15.200 Ω.m. Nilai terendah pada sampel H dengan nilai kalor 5.349, terukurresistansi 7.72 MΩ dan didapatkan resistivitas sebesar 700 MΩ.m. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan,hasil pengukuran nilai kapasitansi dan penentuan permiivitas batubara tidak berpengaruh perhadap nilai kalor batubara sedangkan nilai resistansi dan penentuan resistivitas berpengaruh sangat kecil karna pengaruhkandungan lain yang ada pada batubara.Kata kunci : Batubara , Nilai kalor, , Kapasitansi, Resistansi, Resistivitas, Permitivitas AbstractCoal is an alternative fuel whose quality can be seen from its contents, one of which is like a caloric value. In this study, the calorific value will be characterized using the capacitance value and resistance. Measurementof capacitance value using a cylindrical capacitive sensor while the resistance value uses a copper emailconnecting the sensor that is connected to the LCR meter. From several frequencies, we get a frequency of 1 Khz which shows a stable capacitance and resistance value. From the capacitance value, mathematically thepermittivity value will also be obtained. Similar to the resistance value, the resistivity value will bemathematically obtained. Value is found in sample A with 3,441 calories, measured capacitance is 18.26 pF and the permittivity is 63.9 pF / m. The lowest value in the K sample with a calorie value of 5,626, measuredthe capacitance of 14.48 pF and obtained a permittivity of 50.6 pF / m. While the highest resistance anddetermination of resistivity in sample A with 3,441 calories is 160.1 M 160 and 15,200 Ω.m is obtained. The lowest value in the H sample with a calorific value of 5,349, measured the resistance of 7.72 MΩ and found aresistivity of 700 MΩ.m. Based on the research conducted, the results of the measurement of capacitancevalues and determination of coal permittivity have no effect on the calorific value of coal while the resistance value and determination of the effect of resistivity are very small because of the influence of other contentpresent in coal.
