Abstract

Abstrak: Radikalisme Arsitektur Skala Kecil dalam Membumikan Desa Wisata Mandiri. Arsitektur skala kecil sejatinya banyak memiliki fungsi yang melebihi definisinya baik dari sisi skala maupun volume. Salah satu hal yang menjadikannya berbeda adalah membuatnya menjadi intervensi radikal yang mampu memberikan efek baru dan berkelanjutan bagi penggunanya. Desa menjadi sebuah obyek yang bisa dijadikan ranah baru bagi arsitektur skala kecil dalam membuat perubahan fundamental bagi kehidupan di desa. Apalagi sejak berjalannya program MBKM maka desa seharusnya bisa menjadi destinasi riset dan praksis terkait mengaplikasikan arsitektur dalam skala kecil. Desa erat dengan kemandirian dan juga mulai banyak dikembangkan sebagai destinasi wisata. Paper ini merefleksikan kegiatan pendampingan di Desa Batu Retno, Kab Malang dalam upayanya membumikan desa wisata mandiri dengan perantara arsitektur skala kecil yang radikal. Metode yang dipergunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan action research dan live-in di desa yang melibatkan mahasiswa. Radikalisme yang coba dibangun diaplikasikan dalam pembuatan mekanisme wisata perminatan Sedino Baturetno serta pengaplikasian empat karakter university-civic engagement meliputi identifikasi kebutuhan (identified need), potensi perubahan (potential for change), pendekatan kolaboratif (collaborative approach), dan lokalitas (place-based). Kegiatan MBKM memberi peluang untuk menginisiasi intervensi arsitektur skala kecil di masyarakat yang berpotensi tidak hanya dari biaya juga waktu. Kata kunci: Arsitektur Skala Kecil, Desa Wisata, Localitas Partisipatif, MBKM Abstract: Radicalism Small Scale Architecture in Grounding an Independent Rural Tourism. Small-scale architecture actually has a lot of uses that go beyond its size and volume limits. One of the ways it is different is that it is a radical intervention that can give its users new and long-lasting effects. Rural area becomes an object that can be used as a new domain for small-scale architecture to make big changes. Also, since the MBKM programme has been put into place, rural areas should be able to become places for research and small-scale architectural practises. This paper reflects the research in Batu Retno, Malang Regency, which is trying to build an independent rural tourism industry through small-scale radical architectural intermediaries. Students live in the village and do action research as part of a method that is both descriptive and qualitative. The radicalism that is being built is shown in the making of Sedino Baturetno program, which was made with the help of the four features of university-civic engagement: identifying needs, the potential for change, a collaborative approach, and a place-based focus. MBKM activities give people a chance to start small architectural projects in their communities that have the potential to save both money and time. Abstract

The pandemic of Covid-19 has hit Indonesia heavily, especially when it was confirmed infectious in early 2020. The government accelerated the immunization program and implemented numerous stimuli and regulations to reduce the effects. However, It didn't stop many people and communities from moving independently to cope with the impacts. An informal community partnership led by Arkom, a community architects’ institution, may be one of the pandemic's resilience efforts. Using a bottom-up and participatory strategy, Arkom has succeeded in building community resilience during the pandemic. The Covid 19 epidemic poses unique challenges from previous physical disasters. Seeing disaster as both a challenge and an opportunity, this study intends to describe Arkom's and its informal community alliances' resilience throughout the COVID-19 pandemic crisis. Safier's room of maneuver lens is used to dismantle scenarios with strategic, technical, organizational, and social components. The data is collected and analyzed using snowball procedures with community members and field facilitators. The study concludes that ARKOM and its community alliances could adapt to make a maneuver during the pandemic, and technology is one of the keys to maneuver success.
