Abstract

This research is aimed to determine the level of vitamin C in the mango Gadung which stored as long as 0 days; 1 day; 2 days; and 3 days. It is used iodimetric titration. Standard iodine solution used as titrant while starch as the indicator. Determination of raw normality iodine standardization carried out by titration of iodine with sodium thiosulphate solution primer. Normality primary sodium thiosulphate solution (0.0125 N) are determined through standardized sodium thiosulphate with potassium dichromate. Levels of vitamin C in the fruit is determined by linear regression analysis were made based on the graph of the vitamin C levels versus volume of iodine standard solution which used in the titration. The curve gives the equation as following: y = 413.8 x – 1.238. Levels of vitamin C of mango Gadung which has varied retention time as follows: 0.26% (0 days); 0.22% (1 day); 0.20% (2 days); and 0.16% (3 days).

Abstract

QSAR studies had done on derivatives of triazolopiperazine amide as inhibitors DPP IV enzyme that causes diabetes mellitus type 2. The studies had began by modeling the structures of the derivatives of triazolopiperazine amide and calcutating the descriptors of QSAR by semiempirical AM1 method which available on HyperchemÒprogram. QSAR analysis had done by multilinear regression method analysis which is available on SPSSÒprogram using electronic and molecular parameters. The best QSAR equation model for method of semiempirical AM1:-log IC50 =  152.252 + (18,.295*qC1) + (2.343*qC5) + (2263.448*qC9) +  (1662.252*qC10) – (350.806*qC15) + (639.687*qO25)+ (6.515*EH)n = 18; r2 = 0.712; adjusted r2 = 0.510; Fhit/Ftab = 1.124; PRESS = 0.006 The main side of the compound can be determined through the equation. It can be used to study in preventing the disease of DM2 by inhibiting of enzyme DPP IV.

Abstract

Penentun metode komputasi untuk analisis hubungan kuantitatif struktur dan aktivitas (HKSA) telah dilakukan pada senyawa turunan triazolopiperazin amida sebagai inhibitor enzim DPP IV yang merupakan penyebab diabetes melitus tipe 2 (DM2). Metode komputasi yang digunakan untuk analisis ini adalah metode semiempirik. Analisis dilakukan dengan pemodelan struktur senyawa turunan triazolopiperazin amida dan perhitungan deskriptor HKSA dilakukan menggunakan program Hyperchem. Parameter yang digunakan adalah pergeseran kimia 13C NMR, panjang ikatan antaratom, sudut ikatan antaratom, dan muatan atom bersih. Hasil perhitungan parameter tersebut dibandingkan dengan data empiris dan hasil perhitungan metode ab initio. Hasil penelitiannya menunjukkan bahwa metode semiempirik yang sesuai untuk analisis HKSA senyawa turunan triazolopiperazin amida adalah AM1 dan PM3.

Abstract

The objective of the study is to describe the effectiveness and the fitness of the STEM-Integrated encyclopaedia as the enrichment for the learning materials of Temperature and Heat among Grade V Students in the elementary school degree. Concerning the objective of the study, the nature of the study is Research and Development (RD). In conducting the RD, the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) model had been adopted. In overall, the Analysis was directed toward the problems that had occurred among the students, the Design was related to the media that should be presented to the students, the Development referred to the model of the media that had been in accordance to the needs of the students, the Implemented was related to the Development that had been performed and the Evaluation was directed toward the media that had been developed. In gathering the data, several techniques had been applied namely interview, test administration and questionnaire distribution. Then, in analysing the data both of the qualitative and the quantitative approach had been adopted. Furthermore, in testing the hypothesis, the paired t-test had been administrated to identify the results of the effectiveness of the study. Based on the results of the assessment by the media validator, the material validator and the learning validator, it might be concluded that the STEM-integrated encyclopaedia has been fit for the implementation of the learning process among the Grade V students within the elementary school degree. In the same time, the results of the test show that the effectiveness of the STEM-integrated encyclopaedia has been significant since in the conduct of the hypothesis test (t-test) using the paired t-test it is found that the t-count (10.325) the t-table (2.048). Besides, it is also found that the significance (p-value) has been 0.000, which is lower than the α 5.00% (0.0000 0.050) from the results of the comparison between the pre-test and the post-test. Therefore, the use of the STEM-integrated encyclopaedia has been fit for implementation in the elementary school degree.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian research and development yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media audio visual tentang karakteristik larutan asam basa dan menentukan kualitas media tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan model prosedural dari Allesi & Trollip dan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif melalui penilaian lima orang guru kimia sebagai reviewer menggunakan rubrik. Media yang dihasilkan mengangkat dua topik, yaitu penentuan sifat larutan dan penentuan pH suatu larutan, dan mendapatkan penilaian dengan kualitas baik. skor rerata sebesar 130,80 dan persentase keidealan sebesar 72,67 %.

Abstract

Kajian tentang nilai-nilai karakter Islami yang terkandung di dalam kimia karbon telah dilakukan melalui penggalian muatan-muatan filosofi dalam materi kekhasan atom karbon, ikatan dalam senyawa karbon, klasifikasi, dan reaksi dalam senyawa karbon. Kajian ini mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai karakter Islami untuk menguatkan dan dikuatkan oleh gagasan utama yang diangkat dalam kimia karbon. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif yang menggunakan teknik analisis isi, analisis dengan pendekatan filosofis, analisis dengan model triadik, dan analisis dengan pola konfirmasi. Hasil yang diperoleh dari kajian ini adalah:(1) berzikir kepada Allah SWT dalam materi kekhasan atom karbon dengan 4 elektron valensi, (2) menjaga silaturahmi dari sifat atom karbon yang dapat berkatenasi, (3) senang bersedekah dan menolong dari ikatan kimia karbon, (4) bijak dan adil saat menjumpai perbedaan dari materi klasifikasi senyawa karbon, (5) memperbaiki diri dan meninggalkan hal-hal yang tidak bermanfaat dari reaksi substitusi, (6) ikhlas dalam membantu orang lain dari reaksi adisi, (7) sabar dan berserah diri pada Allah SWT dari reaksi eliminasi.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk memodelkan senyawa turunan 4-fenoksipirimidin-5-karboksamida dan menentukan persamaan HKSA yang dihasilkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode semiempirik AM1 karena tingkat ketelitiannya cukup tinggi dan waktu perhitungannya relatif cepat. Metode statistika yang digunakan untuk pemilihan deskriptor yang berhubungan dengan aktivitas biologis senyawanya adalah analisis multilinear regression (MLR) karena jumlah deskriptornya relatif banyak. Pemodelan dalam penelitian ini menghasilkan satu model persamaan dengan rincian sebagai berikut:-log EC50 = -47.95 + (71.322*qCl7) + (15.357*qC10) + (-169.512*qC11) + (1.955*qC23) + (0.493*EH) + (-0.612*log P) + (-0.017*α) + (146.598*grad) + (0.018* ΔHf)n = 14; r = 1.000; r2 = 1.000; adjusted r2 = 1.000; PRESS = 8.706

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas program pembelajaran kimia SMA/MA Berbasis Pondok Pesantren di Kota Metro, Lampung yang terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan penilaian. Model evaluasi yang digunakan adalah model evaluasi countenance stake dengan tiga tahap evaluasi, yaitu antecedent, transaction, dan outcomes. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 3 guru kimia dan 150 peserta didik kelas XI semester II tahun pelajaran 2019/2020. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara dokumentasi, observasi, dan angket. Data dianalisis dengan kuantitatif deskriptif menggunakan rata-rata skor ideal dan dikategorikan berdasarkan tabel kriteria distribusi normal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas perencanaan pembelajaran kimia berdasarkan kelengkapan komponen RPP berkategori sangat baik dan kesesuaian dokumen RPP berategori baik. Kualitas pelaksanaan pembelajaran kimia dan penilaian berdasarkan angket berkategori baik dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran berdasarkan observasi berkategori kurang baik. Kualitas penilaian hasil belajar berdasarkan telaah kesesuaian dokumen RPP berkategori kurang baik dan hasil belajar peserta didik yang sebagian besar tidak tuntas berdasarkan penilaian tengah semester. Evaluation of SMA/MA chemistry learning program based on Islamic boarding schools Abstract: This study aims to determine the quality of the Islamic Boarding School-based SMA/MA chemistry learning program in Metro City, Lampung, which consists of planning, implementation, and assessment. The evaluation model used is a stake countenance evaluation model with three stages: antecedent, transaction, and outcomes. The research subjects consisted of 3 chemistry teachers and 150 students of class XI semester II of the 2019/2020 school year. Data collection was done by means of documentation, observation, and questionnaires. Data were analyzed by quantitative descriptive using the average ideal score and categorized based on the table of normal distribution criteria. The results showed that the quality of chemistry learning planning based on the completeness of the lesson plan components was categorized as very good, and the suitability of the lesson plan documents was categorized as good. The quality of the implementation of chemistry learning and assessment based on a questionnaire was categorized as good, and the implementation of learning based on observations was categorized as poor. The quality of the assessment of learning outcomes based on the study of the appropriateness of the RPP document was categorized as poor, and the learning outcomes of students, most of which were incomplete, were based on the mid-semester assessment.

Abstract

Kajian kandungan kafein yang berkaitan dengan cita rasa kopi unik dari Aceh, kopi Khop, masih terbatas. Studi ini bertujuan untuk menentukan hubungan antara kadar kafein dalam bubuk kopi Khop dan karakteristik sensorik dengan analisis regresi linear. Bubuk kopi Khop dipisahkan berdasarkan empat kategori: halus (fine, F), sedang (medium, M), kasar (coarse, C), dan original (O). Keempat jenis bubuk kopi tersebut diseduh dengan air panas (90 oC) lalu diuji karakteristik sensoriknya menggunakan uji organoleptik meliputi rasa asam dan pahit, aroma, warna, dan residu ampas. Sampel kopi tersebut juga diukur kadar kafeinnya menggunakan spektrometer UV-vis dan harga pH-nya. Analisis dengan regresi linear sederhana menunjukkan hubungan linear negatif antara kadar kafein bubuk F, M, dan C dengan skor deskriptor sensorik kopi Khop. Berdasarkan hasil uji tersebut, kadar kafein bukan merupakan faktor tunggal yang menentukan hasil penilaian karakter sensorik bubuk kopi Khop yang ditunjukkan dengan linearitas negatif antara kadar kafein dan skor aroma kopi.

Abstract

A preliminary study to determine the group of compound contained in the ethanolic extract of mahagony (Swietenia mahagoni L. Jacq.) seeds and its inhibitory activity to a-glucosidase enzyme has been done. The information from this study will be used in the further investigation about the specific constituents related to the bioactivity. The seed was grounded and then extracted with ethanol by maceration technique. The crude extract was separated with liquid-liquid extraction by using n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and methanol as the solvents. The best eluent for isolation, chloroform:ethanol (1:1), was determined by thin layer chromatography while alumina as stationary phase. The isolation step with column chromatography gave two types of isolates, yellow and colorless isolate. In order to get information about the compound, the crude extract was subjected to phytochemical assignment and the isolate with the better activity was analyzed by infrared spectroscopy. The inhibitory activity for the yellow isolate with IC50 as 19.345 ppm was better than the colorless isolate. Therefore, the IR spectroscopy assay was subjected to the yellow isolate. Based on the comparison IR spectra with literatures, it has suggested that the yellow isolate contains tetranortriterpenoid or limonoid group.Keywords: Swietenia mahagoni L.
