Abstract

Abstract School leader is a teacher with added task as the highest leader at school who has to lead his subordinates to the aims of the school. Qualified or unqualified school really depends on school leader, because professional school leader results qualified school and vice versa. There are some qualifications being professional school leader. Principally, school leaders must have a knowledge of and sensitivity for the cross-cultural nature of the community in which they serve and adapt their leadership style accordingly. Recently, the amount of women teachers are higher than men teachers. In fact, the number of woman as school leader is no more than 35% since 2005 till 2010. Many factors influenced this phenomenon, included internal and external factors. Both of the factors correlates each other making an assumption whether woman able and unable being a leader, especially at school. Key words: school leader role, woman school leader.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the school committee in an effort to empower SMAIT Al Qudwah Depok City in order to improve the efficiency of school management. This research was qualitative research site in SMAIT Al Qudwak Depok. The data source research is the principal, vice principal, school board committees as well as some students. Collecting data using the method of observation, interviews, documentation and archive footage, while the analysis of data using qualitative data analysis interactive model. The results showed that: (1) The Board committee at Al-Qudwah SMAIT Depok City consists of various professions and have a minimum education level Bachelor (S1); (2) Implementation of the program of work of the school committee in SMAIT Al Qudwah Kota Depok yet fully effective. It is characterized by not fahamnya school board committee will function and role of the school committee in improving the efficiency of school management in schools; (3) Empowerment committee at Al-Qudwah SMAIT Depok City has not fully maximized. It is characterized by the limited space of empowerment for the management committee of the school as a partner school. Besides, the school has not fully facilitate the school committee to explore the potential of its staff so that its existence can be empoweredKeywords: characteristics, role and functions, empowerment, school committees

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of job satisfaction on organizational commitment through trust as a mediating variable in private vocational school teachers in Central Jakarta. This study uses a survey method with a descriptive approach. The population in this study amounted to 200 respondents with a sample of 133 respondents. The model used in this study is a relationship or influence model, or called path analysis. To test the hypothesis proposed in this study, the model fit analysis technique used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) which is operated using the SmartPLS 3.0 program. The results showed that job satisfaction had an effect on organizational commitment through trust as a mediating variable. Original Sample value of the influence of the three variables is 0.449 and T-Statistic > 1.96 which is 3.889. Furthermore, based on P-Value 0.000 <0.05, the variable job satisfaction has an indirect effect on organizational commitment through trust as a mediating variable.
