Abstract

Environmental issues have emerged widely recognized as global issues in the world. Consequently, they have attracted significant attentions from various academic disciplines, all dedicated preventing further harm to the environment. Upon reflection, it becomes evident that these issues are intrinsically linked to the behavior, awareness, and actions of all communities. Therefore, English Language Teaching (ELT) has a unique opportunity to contribute by providing information and fostering eco-green awareness among learners. To achieve this, a comprehensive research project was undertaken at a university in Bojonegoro to investigate and examine the EFL learners’ perception on implementation of e-reading module based eco-ELT and how EFL learners perceive eco-ELT. This research used mixed method which present and analyze both quantitative and qualitative analysis. The research involved 45 EFL learners, and data was collected through questionnaires and interviews. The questionnaire encompassed various indicators related to the clarity and sustainability of the reading material, presenting reading materials based Eco-ELT themes, and ease of access. The data was analyzed by using data verification, scoring and calculating the percentage of each item and interpret the script of interview. The finding reveals that the majority of the EFL learners have positive perception and acceptance on the use of e-reading module based on eco-ELT in EFL class. The average score was about 50% EFL learners shows their positive perception on the implementation of e-reading module based eco-ELT. While, EFL learners view eco-ELT offers new insights in acquiring information about environment and comprehend reading material while doing the reading exercise. EFL learners imply eco-ELT can encourage them to practice green and sustainable lifestyle to save the earth. Dealing with the findings, eco-ELT can be taken into account as a new innovative approach to develop teaching and learning materials. Consequently, the learners not only acquire the knowledge but also enhance and encourage their characters to love nature.

Abstract

Desa Klempun, Kecamatan Ngraho, Kabupaten Bojonegoro, memiliki potensi besar dalam sektor peternakan, namun masih menghadapi kendala dalam penyediaan pakan ternak berkualitas, terutama pada musim kemarau. Ketergantungan terhadap pakan hijauan segar yang terbatas menyebabkan produktivitas ternak menurun. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan ketahanan pangan ternak melalui pembuatan silase sebagai alternatif pakan yang tahan lama dan bernutrisi tinggi. Metode yang digunakan dalam program ini meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan pembuatan silase, serta pendampingan bagi peternak dalam implementasinya. Bahan baku utama yang digunakan adalah limbah pertanian lokal seperti jerami padi dan batang jagung yang difermentasi menggunakan inokulan bakteri asam laktat. Evaluasi program dilakukan dengan mengukur tingkat adopsi teknologi oleh peternak serta kualitas silase yang dihasilkan berdasarkan uji pH dan kadar nutrisi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa 85% peserta mampu membuat silase dengan kadar pH optimal (3,8–4,2) dan tingkat daya cerna meningkat sebesar 25% dibandingkan pakan hijauan segar. Selain itu, peternak melaporkan peningkatan bobot ternak rata-rata sebesar 12% dalam kurun waktu dua bulan setelah penerapan silase. Dengan demikian, pembuatan silase terbukti menjadi solusi inovatif dalam menjaga ketersediaan pakan ternak sepanjang tahun dan meningkatkan produktivitas peternakan di Desa Klempun. Program ini diharapkan dapat direplikasi di daerah lain untuk meningkatkan kemandirian pangan ternak.

Abstract

This research explores how Generation Z perceives learning English pronunciation using the social media platform TikTok.  Generation Z is known for its familiarity with technology and social media, including TikTok, which is incredibly popular among them. The main objective of this research is to understand how Generation Z perceives and engages with TikTok as a tool for learning English pronunciation, as well as the challenges and opportunities they encounter. The participants in this study were 10th-grade students from SMKN 3 Bojonegoro who were studying PSPT 1 and 2. The research utilized a qualitative approach, combining questionnaire surveys and in-depth interviews to gather comprehensive data on the students' experiences with using TikTok videos to learn English pronunciation. The results revealed that TikTok is a preferred platform for students to practice English, with 58.6% of students feeling comfortable using TikTok for pronunciation practice. Additionally, 63.8% of students stated that TikTok boosted their self-confidence in practicing English pronunciation. The platform offers opportunities for students to practice English in a relaxed, flexible, and engaging manner, thereby increasing motivation. However, the study also identified some challenges and obstacles faced by students, such as being easily distracted by entertainment content, which can lead to a lack of focus, as well as a lack of direct feedback for error correction. In conclusion, this research suggests that TikTok can be an effective tool for Generation Z to learn English pronunciation, as long as engaging and collaborative content is utilized. It is hoped that these findings will contribute to the development of more modern and interactive language learning methods on digital platforms like TikTok.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi di era digital mengubah proses pembelajaran, menuntut guru menguasai keterampilan baru, termasuk teknologi berbasis AI. Penggunaan e-modul berbasis AI dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran, menciptakan pengalaman yang interaktif, efisien, dan personal. Selain penguasaan teknologi, guru juga perlu memiliki keterampilan kewirausahaan (teacherpreneurship) untuk menciptakan solusi inovatif. Pelatihan di MTs Mabdaussholah Pomahan membekali guru dengan keterampilan AI dan teacherpreneurship melalui kolaborasi Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Sunan Giri. Pelatihan pembuatan e-modul berbasis kecerdasan buatan (AI) dan pengembangan teacherpreneurship di MTs Mabdaussholah Pomahan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam menghadapi tantangan era digital. Kegiatan yang berlangsung pada 20 Januari 2025 ini, menghadirkan dosen Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Sunan Giri sebagai narasumber dengan materi mencakup pembuatan e-modul interaktif berbasis AI, penerapan metode pengajaran inovatif, serta pengembangan keterampilan teacherpreneur. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman dan kemampuan peserta, dibuktikan dengan hasil pre-test dan post-test yang rata-ratanya meningkat dari 63 menjadi 70. Analisis menggunakan paired sample t-test menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan (p < 0,05), yang menegaskan efektivitas pelatihan ini. Guru-guru yang terlibat tidak hanya mampu menciptakan materi pembelajaran yang adaptif dan personal berbasis teknologi, tetapi juga mulai mengembangkan potensi kewirausahaan melalui produk pendidikan seperti e-modul. Program ini mendorong transformasi guru menjadi inovator pendidikan yang kreatif dan mandiri, sekaligus memperkuat daya saing dalam era digital. Untuk keberlanjutan program, disarankan agar sekolah menjalin kerja sama dengan lembaga teknologi pendidikan guna memperbarui kompetensi guru, serta memperluas pelatihan ke aspek kewirausahaan sehingga dampak positif program dapat terus berkembang.

Abstract

Ketersediaan pakan ternak yang berkualitas merupakan tantangan utama bagi peternak, terutama saat musim kemarau. Salah satu solusi inovatif untuk mengatasi masalah ini adalah pembuatan silase sebagai pakan alternatif yang bergizi dan tahan lama. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan peternak dalam memproduksi silase secara efektif dan efisien. Pelatihan dilakukan bersama mitra kelompok peternak di Desa Klempun, dengan melibatkan 20 peserta. Metode yang digunakan meliputi penyampaian teori, praktik langsung, serta evaluasi melalui observasi dan kuesioner. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa 95% peserta memahami proses pembuatan silase dan 70% mulai menerapkannya sebagai pakan alternatif. Selain itu, penggunaan limbah pertanian sebagai bahan baku silase membantu mengurangi biaya pakan serta mendukung keberlanjutan lingkungan. Kesimpulannya, pelatihan ini berhasil meningkatkan kapasitas peternak dalam memanfaatkan silase sebagai solusi pakan ternak yang ekonomis dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between individual learning styles and English-speaking skills, a critical area in language education given the importance of speaking proficiency for effective communication. Recognizing that learners’ preferred modalities—visual, auditory, kinaesthetic, and reading/writing—may influence their ability to produce spoken English, this research contributes to the ongoing discourse on personalized language teaching strategies. While previous studies have suggested a connection between learning styles and language performance, there remains a paucity of empirical, statistically robust evidence specifically addressing speaking skills. This research aims to fill this gap by exploring the extent to which different learning styles predict speaking proficiency among university students. Employing a correlational research design, the study involved 120 undergraduate students enrolled in an English language program at an Indonesian public university. Data were collected through two instruments: a VARK questionnaire to determine dominant learning styles and a standardized speaking rubric aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages to assess speaking performance. Participants completed the questionnaires and performed speaking tasks under controlled conditions, with their performances rated independently by trained raters who were blind to their learning style profiles. Data analysis involved descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation coefficients to examine the relationship between each learning style and speaking scores. The results revealed significant positive correlations for visual and auditory learning styles, indicating that learners who prefer these styles tend to perform better in speaking tasks. The findings suggest that aligning instruction with learners’ preferred modalities can enhance speaking proficiency. This study underscores the importance of incorporating diverse teaching strategies tailored to learners' preferences to optimize speaking development. The implications advocate for language educators to utilize multimodal approaches that cater to different learning styles, thereby fostering greater engagement and improving speaking outcomes among students
