Abstract

This research aimed to examine the effectiveness of practicum learning based audiovisual in improving students’ learning outcomes in vocational secondary schools. At the practical level, teachers play an important role in facilitating students by designing an appropriate method, media, and material of learning which represent the actual condition of workplaces. Thus, students can gain their learning skills and experiences. Quasi-experimental research was conducted in vocational secondary schools in Surakarta city, Indonesia. The research participants were 230 students categorized into the control group and the experimental group. The results showed the effectiveness of practicum learning based audiovisual in improving students’ learning outcomes effectively. The effectiveness can be proved by the average pretest score and post-test score between the control group and the experimental group. Considering its effectiveness, practicum learning based audiovisual can be used as an advanced model of learning in vocational secondary school especially in preparing students before joining the industrial circle. This research has shown the effectiveness of practicum learning based audiovisual in improving students’ learning outcomes in vocational secondary schools. It can be proved by the result of an independent t-test that shows significant differences in students’ learning outcomes in the control group and experimental group. Based on the results of research, the model of practicum based audiovisual learning can become an advanced model of practicum learning in vocational secondary schools, especially in non-engineering and technic majors.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the effect between the Problem-Based Learning model using Peer assessment and the Problem-Based Learning model on student competencies. The study used a quantitative experimental approach at SMK Negeri 1 Sragen in class XI AK 4 as a control class and XI AK 5 as an experimental class. The population involved all XI Accounting class students totaling 160 students, while the sample consisted of 64 students divided into the experimental class and the control class. The results showed that the first hypothesis obtained Fcount dataFtable or 5.214 2.760 and sig values. 0.026 0.05, then Ho is rejected, and Ha is accepted. Learning using the Problem-Based Learning model with Peer Assessment has an average value of 83.78, higher than the average value of the Problem-Based Learning model that is equal to 81.53. This study concludes that there are differences in the effect between the control class and the experimental class on student competence. The experimental class using the Problem-Based Learning Model using Peer Assessment is more effective than the control class using the Problem-Based Learning model.

Abstract

the purpose of this study was to improve the learning of students of class XI Office Administration of Vocational High School 1 Sukoharjo in learning the subjects of the 2016/2017 lesson archive system through the application of the cooperative learning model of the Division Student Achievement Team (STAD Method) using the Mind Maping learning method. This type of research conducted by researchers is Class­room Action Research (CAR). The subjects of this study were students of class XI AP of SMK Negeri 1 Sukoharjo in the 2016/2017 academic year which were debated by 36 people. The results showed active students during the pre-cycle had not reached 75%. In cycle 1 activity increased in visual aspect activity 61.11%, oral activity 55.56%, drawing activity 75%, mental activity 69.44% and emotional activity 75%. Further­more, in cycle 2 the activity increased significantly in the aspect of visual activity 94.44%, oral activity 91.67%, drawing activity 94.44%, mental activity 94.44% and emotional activity 97.00%.

Abstract

Generasi muda adalah tonggak baru yang akan memimpin arah bangsa di masa depan. Di pundak generasi muda terdapat harapan terhadap kemajuan negara yang berkesinambungan. Dunia yang akan diarungi oleh generasi muda tidak sama dengan para pendahulunya. Tantangan berupa ancaman disintegrasi, penyalahgunaan dunia digital, hingga amnesia sejarah menjadi bagian dari rupa gangguan yang dapat mengganggu proses perkembangan karakteristik generasi muda. Generasi muda yang tidak berfondasi pada dimensi pengetahuan yang kuat berpotensi menjadi bahaya laten. Forum komunitas sejarah hadir sebagai sarana pembelajaran nilai-nilai keteladanan hidup yang mampu memberikan dampak positif bagi generasi muda. Penulisan artikel ini bertujuan (1) mendeskripsikan posisi forum komunitas sejarah di lingkup generasi muda masa kini dan (2) menjelaskan penguatan nilai-nilai keteladanan hidup yang digali dalam forum komunitas sejarah.Penulisan ini dilakukan secara kualitatif deskriptif dengan melakukan studi pustaka dan wawancara. Hasilnya diperoleh: (1) Forum komunitas sejarah berperan dalam menyebarluaskan wawasan sejarah dengan corak yang mengikuti perkembangan zaman. (2) Penguatan nilai-nilai keteladanan hidup diperoleh melalui muatan sejarah lokal yang digali melalui kegiatan diskusi, sarasehan, dan kunjungan ke lokasi.

Abstract

Keberadaan sejarah lokal di suatu masyarakat berkaitan dengan nilai-nilai sejarah yang terdapat di lingkungan sekitar. Sayangnya selama ini sejarah lokal kurang diperhatikan oleh seluruh masyarakat. Keberadaannya diakui namun tidak terungkap dengan luas dan jelas. Masyarakat cenderung menggandrungi sejarah dalam lingkup yang lebih luas. Fenomena seperti ini menurun antar generasi hingga kalangan anak muda masa kini. Hal ini patut disayangkan sebab banyak nilai-nilai kearifan lokal yang dapat diambil makna pentingnya dari sejarah lokal. Keberadaan forum yang membahas sejarah lokal menjadi penting agar pewarisan hal-hal positif dari sejarah lokal tidak punah tergerus zaman. Soeracarta Heritage Society merupakan salah satu forum diskusi yang membahas mengenai sejarah lokal, kebudayaan, dan upaya pelestariannya di lingkup wilayah Surakarta. Forum diskusi diadakan secara rutin untuk mengenalkan sejarah lokal kepada masyarakat umum. Artikel ini bertujuan (1) mendeskripsikan posisi sejarah lokal dalam kehidupan lingkungan masyarakat dan (2) menjelaskan pentingnya forum diskusi publik dalam upaya penanaman nilai-nilai sejarah lokal kepada generasi muda. Penulisan ini dilakukan secara deskriptif analitis dengan studi pustaka. Hasilnya diperoleh: (1) Sejarah lokal berperan dalam menciptakan kesadaran sejarah di lingkungan masyarakat. Eksistensi sejarah lokal berdampak positif dalam menumbuhkan kecintaan pada sejarah. (2) Forum diskusi publik sebagai ajang masyarakat untuk bertemu, menyampaikan pemikiran, dan berdialog bersama membahas sejarah lokal dari berbagai aspek. Terdapat pendidikan nilai yang terdapat dalam sejarah lokal di Surakarta baik dalam aspek peristiwa, ketokohan, atau bangunan.Kata Kunci: Forum diskusi publik, Generasi muda, Kesadaran sejarah, Pendidikan nilai, Sejarah lokalThe existence of local history in a society is related to the historical values found in the surrounding environment. Unfortunately, local history has not been paid much attention to by the whole community. Its existence is acknowledged but not widely and clearly revealed. Society tends to love history in a wider scope. This phenomenon has decreased between generations to today's young people. This is unfortunate because there are many values of local wisdom that can be taken from the importance of local history. The existence of a forum that discusses local history is important so that the inheritance of positive things from local history is not eroded by time. Soeracarta Heritage Society is one of the discussion forums that discuss local history, culture, and conservation efforts in the Surakarta area. Discussion forums are held regularly to introduce local history to the general public. This article aims to (1) describe the position of local history in the life of the community and (2) explain the importance of public discussion forums in an effort to instill local historical values into the younger generation. This writing was done in a descriptive-analytical manner with a literature study. The results obtained: (1) Local history plays a role in creating historical awareness in the community. The existence of local history has a positive impact in fostering a love of history. (2) Public discussion forums as an arena for the community to meet, share ideas and have a dialogue together to discuss local history from various aspects. Abstract

This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of the simulation-based learning model using “e-archive” technology in the archiving subject in the vocational school of management program. A randomized pretest-posttest control group design and 144 students from Central Java, Indonesia were employed in this quasi-experimental study. The data were analyzed by using the independent sample t-test to determine whether there was a significant mean difference between the experimental class and the control class. The results of this study indicated that the experimental class with the simulation-based learning model using e-archive technology gets better scores than the control class using the conventional learning model. The pretest t-test results in a score of 0.139, while the posttest results in a score of 0.000. We concluded that the simulation-based learning model using e-archive technology is effective and suitable for use in vocational schools, with implications for enhancing student learning results.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of learning outcomes and describe the learning process through the application of discovery learning methods to students of class X OTKP 1 at SMK Negeri 1 Ponorogo. This type of research is included in classroom action research with the design of Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. This study consisted of two cycles and each cycle consisted of four stages, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were students of class X, totaling 15 people. Data was collected by using observation sheets and learning outcomes tests and reinforced by interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques used are critical analysis techniques and comparative descriptive analysis techniques. The results showed that the learning outcomes of students in the first cycle the percentage of completeness was 73.3% (unfinished) and in the second cycle increased with the percentage of completeness of 86.67% (finish). The average score of student learning activities and teacher teaching in the first cycle both obtained a score of 2 (good enough) and in the second cycle increased with a score of 4 (very good) for student learning activities and a score of 3 (good) for teaching activities teacher. The conclusion from the results of this study is that the application of discovery learning methods can improve the learning outcomes of students in class X OTKP 1 SMK Negeri 1 Ponorogo on communication materials in the workplace.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine: 1) Active dynamic archive management at the Sukoharjo Population and Civil Registration Office, 2) Obstacles encountered during the active dynamic archive management process at the Sukoharjo Population and Civil Registration Office, and 3) Solutions to overcome obstacles encountered during the active dynamic archive management process at the Sukoharjo Population and Civil Registration Office. This is a descriptive qualitative study employing a case study technique. The study was carried out at the Population and Civil Registration Office in Sukoharjo. Purposive sampling and snowball sampling were used to collect data from places and events, instruments, papers, and archives. Data was gathered through interviews, observations, and document analysis. Test the validity of the data obtained by triangulation of sources and triangulation of methods. The data analysis technique used interactive model data analysis. The results showed that: 1) active dynamic archive management at the Sukoharjo Population and Civil Registration Service includes: planning, organizing, implementing, and maintenance. 2) the management of active dynamic archives at the Sukoharjo Population and Civil Registration Service, there are several obstacles including the lack of human resources, rediscovery of old archives, and the lack of facilities and infrastructure to support active dynamic archive management, and 3) Solutions in overcoming some of the obstacles that arise. found in the Department of Population and Civil Registration Sukoharjo, among others, looking for human resources in accordance with the competence of archives, making special agenda book for all types of archives according to their classification, and planning budgeting to complete the facilities and infrastructure to manage active dynamic archives.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh mata kuliah Micro Teaching dan Pengenalan Lapangan Persekolahan terhadap kesiapan mahasiswa menjadi guru secara parsial dan simultan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 318 responden dari populasi 1.554 mahasiswa FKIP UNS Angkatan 2020 yang telah melaksanakan PLP pada Tahun 2023. Adapun hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan antara mata kuliah Micro Teaching terhadap kesiapan mahasiswa menjadi guru yang dibuktikan dari nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05 dan nilai t-hitung 11,010 > t-tabel 1,967; 2) terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan antara Pelaksanaan Pengenalan Lapangan Persekolahan terhadap kesiapan mahasiswa menjadi guru yang dibuktikan dari nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,021 < 0,05 dan nilai t-hitung 2,320 > t-tabel 1,967; dan 3) terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan antara mata kuliah Micro Teaching dan pelaksanaan Pengenalan Lapangan Persekolahan terhadap kesiapan mahasiswa menjadi guru yang dibuktikan dari nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 dan nilai F-hitung 123,651 > F-tabel 3,871, serta koefisien determinasi sebesar 44%. Kata kunci : kesiapan menjadi guru; kuantitatif;  pengalaman mengajarAbstract: The aim of this research is to determine the influence of Micro Teaching and Introduction to Schooling courses on students' readiness to become teachers partially and simulatively. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method. The results of this research showed that, 1) there is a positive and significant influence between Micro Teaching courses on readiness to become teachers as evidenced by the significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and the t-count value of 11.010, > t-table 1.967; 2) there is a positive and significant influence between the Implementation of Introduction to School Field on readiness to become teachers as evidenced by a significance value of 0.021 < 0.05 and a t-count value of 2.320 > t-table 1.967; and 3) there is a positive and significant influence between the Micro Teaching course and the implementation of School Field Introduction on readiness to become teachers as evidenced by a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and an F-count value 123.651 > F-table 3.871, as well as a determination coefficient 44%.Keywords : quantitative; readiness to become a teacher;  teaching experience

Abstract

This study used a descriptive research method with a quantitative approach. Thesampling technique used the saturated sample technique. Methods of collectingdata used the questionnaire and the documentation. The results of this study are asfollows there is a significant positive effect of learning media on learningachievement. This is based on the value of tcount>ttable, which is 2.645 > 1.673 ata significance level of 5%. There is a significant positive effect of learningachievement on learning achievement. This is based on the value of tcount>ttablewhich is 4.564 > 1.673 at a significance level of 5%. Tthere is a significant effectof learning media and learning motivation together on learning achievement. Thisis based on the value of Fcount>Ftable which is 18.118 > 3.162 at a significancelevel of 5%. The amount of the relative contribution of learning media by 28.24%.The relative contribution of learning motivation is 75.76%. The effectivecontribution of learning media is 11.10%. The effective contribution of learningmotivation is 18.20%.
