Abstract

Abstract: Legal awareness is an important value for the nation building. The legal awareness of Indonesian people is indicated below average. Supposed to make advancement, every people of Indonesian should have a high level of legal awareness. Education offers a solution for this problem. By engaging in education, students are expected to enhance their legal awareness. Using reflective pedagogy paradigm, this study assumed that student can be engaged to contemplate themselves, are they law-abiding citizens? Using a concept of ancient Triprangama law, students are persuaded to cultivate legal awareness though social studies education. The aim of this article is to describe the learning concept to promote the legal awareness of student with social studies subject matter that integrated with Triprangama concept with reflective pedagogy approach.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model pembelajaran sejarah Indonesia di SMA yang didesain dengan pendekatan relasi antar etnis dan mengevaluasi pengaruhnya terhadap peningkatkan rasa solidaritas kebangsaan siswa. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development, - R D) sesuai prosedur Borg Gall (2003). Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa SMAN 1 Kota Kediri. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik dokumentasi, observasi dan angket. Analisis data statistik parametrik menggunakan bantuan program SPSS for windows versi 22.0. Hasil pengembangan menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran sejarah Indonesia berbasis relasi antar etnis (RAE) layak untuk diimplementasikan. Uji efektifitas model dengan teknik uji-t antar kelompok menunjukkan hasil t. 2,398, dengan taraf sig. 0,019 yang berarti model pembelajaran RAE efektif untuk meningkatkan rasa solidaritas kebangsaan siswa AbstractThis research aims to develop a learning model of Indonesian history at senior high school which is designed by correlation approach among the ethnics and to evaluates the effect toward the improvement of students’ national solidarity. The research was conducted by using research and development methods (RD) according to Borg Gall procedure (2003). The research subject was students of SMAN 1 Kediri City. The data collection used techniques of documentation, observation, and questionnaire. Data analysis of parametric statistics used program SPSS for Windows version 22.0. The result of development showed that the learning model of Indonesian history with inter ethnics correlation (IEC) based is feasible to be implemented. The effectiveness test of the model was by independent samples t-test technique showed the result t. 2,398 with sig. value 0,019, which means learning model CIE, is effective to improve students’ national solidarity.

Abstract

Learning History in the Curriculum as a whole emphasizes the importance of collective memory so that inhibits the growth of critical reasoning in the Student. This review covers an alternative approach in teaching history subjects applied in senior high school. The use of the concept of critical questions and emancipatory models of "ways of knowing" by Juergen Habermas is a strategy taken by teachers in teaching history lessons that can arouse the critical awareness of student. In-depth research is done by qualitative method to know the activity of teachers and learners thoroughly at the time of learning about the history of Shaykh Ahmad Mutamakkin and the settlement of his case stipulated in the Kajen manuscript and Cebolek manuscript as enrichment of the material history Mataram Islamic Kingdom. The results showed that during the learning prose took place the teacher has succeeded in creating the creation of the process of emancipation in the students themselves. Abstract

Generasi muda adalah tonggak baru yang akan memimpin arah bangsa di masa depan. Di pundak generasi muda terdapat harapan terhadap kemajuan negara yang berkesinambungan. Dunia yang akan diarungi oleh generasi muda tidak sama dengan para pendahulunya. Tantangan berupa ancaman disintegrasi, penyalahgunaan dunia digital, hingga amnesia sejarah menjadi bagian dari rupa gangguan yang dapat mengganggu proses perkembangan karakteristik generasi muda. Generasi muda yang tidak berfondasi pada dimensi pengetahuan yang kuat berpotensi menjadi bahaya laten. Forum komunitas sejarah hadir sebagai sarana pembelajaran nilai-nilai keteladanan hidup yang mampu memberikan dampak positif bagi generasi muda. Penulisan artikel ini bertujuan (1) mendeskripsikan posisi forum komunitas sejarah di lingkup generasi muda masa kini dan (2) menjelaskan penguatan nilai-nilai keteladanan hidup yang digali dalam forum komunitas sejarah.Penulisan ini dilakukan secara kualitatif deskriptif dengan melakukan studi pustaka dan wawancara. Hasilnya diperoleh: (1) Forum komunitas sejarah berperan dalam menyebarluaskan wawasan sejarah dengan corak yang mengikuti perkembangan zaman. (2) Penguatan nilai-nilai keteladanan hidup diperoleh melalui muatan sejarah lokal yang digali melalui kegiatan diskusi, sarasehan, dan kunjungan ke lokasi.

Abstract

This study aims to provide an effort in developing students' national history awareness, through Pancasila character education in history learning. This is because history learning has a very important position in the world of education because the values contained are the most important aspects in the development of national identity. When this young generation becomes the holder of the main and supporting roles in carrying out the life of the nation, the character that has been formed in them becomes strong foundation in carrying out this role. The approach used in this research is a library research approach. This approach is carried out by examining theories, concepts and principles related to the discussion. Meanwhile, data collection was carried out using document study techniques, namely data obtained from the relevant literature. The data were analyzed by qualitative descriptive analysis, in which all the collected data will be analyzed systematically. The results of the study indicate that history learning has a responsibility in continuing culture, playing an active role in the era of globalization and the development of science and technology. The development of the global market in the era of globalization is a challenge for historical education, by growing awareness of the history of a nation through Pancasila character education as an effort to prepare the Golden Generation.

Abstract

Bahan ajar sejarah lokal yang berhasil dikembangkan adalah sebuah modul berjudul “Sejarah Perjuangan Masyarakat Tengaran selama Revolusi Fisik 1947-1949”. Desain pengembangan modul menggunakan model ADDIE yang meliputi lima langkah : analisis kebutuhan, desain produk, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Pakar pembelajaran dari Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta dan guru mata pelajaran sejarah Indonesia dari SMA Negeri 1 Tengaran memberi nilai terhadap modul pada aspek media sebesar 51 atau 92,72% (sangat baik) dan aspek materi sebesar 46,5 atau 93% (sangat baik). Modul diujicobakan kepada 35 siswa terbukti dapat dibelajarkan sebagai materi sejarah Indonesia pada pembahasan tentang Revolusi Nasional Indonesia. Uji efektifitas modul terhadap peningkatan nasionalisme menggunakan desain penelitian kuasi eksperimen melalui uji pretest dan posttest pada dua kelompok berbeda (kelompok eksperimental dan kontrol). Hasil uji beda (independent sample t test) menunjukan adanya perbedaan efek penggunaan bahan ajar terhadap peningkatan nasionalisme siswa mencapai 25,17% dengan nilai probabilitas = 0,00 lebih kecil daripada alpha = 0,05. Modul terbukti memberi pengaruh lebih besar terhadap peningkatan nasionalisme siswa dibanding bahan ajar konvensional (handout) dengan skor rerata posttest nasionalisme kelas eksperimen sebesar 85,53 (sangat baik) sedangkan kelas kontrol 77,00 (baik). Abstract

This article discusses about assessment of the constructivism approach in history learning with Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA). CDA provides a set of in-depth analysis method which includes the realm of linguistic, social, and cultural. The CDA is composed of three stages of a dynamic analysis and related to each other: (1) analysis of the text, (2) analysis of the practice of discourse, and (3) analysis of social practices. In the context of history learning with constructivism approach, the third stages can be used to assess the development of the system and the structure of the thinking of learners. CDA approach can be used to analyse the work of learners with description test. Therefore, the necessary rubric based on assessment rubrics and discourse analysis of the level of development of thinking learners. Based on the research results, the CDA can be used in learning history, specifically with constructivism approach. Assessment of history learning with constructivism approach is expected to be an alternative assessment of learning that not only assess student knowledge of quantity, but also to measure the development of the system and the structure of the thinking of learners.

Abstract

Serat Wedhatama is a serat that is written by Mangkunegara IV, where in there are the cultural values of their nation. Their culture is then necessary to transform students through education, in particular the historical studies. This paper is a part of Research and Development (R&D) using the model of the Borg & Gall development model oriented learning history based Serat Wedhatama values to improve ethics and morals in students and habitual in educational institutions. In the first stage measures undertaken include: (1) the mapping ethical values and morals in the Serat Wedhatama through the process of hermeneutics; (2) a description of the learning history at State High School 5 Surakarta; (3) the formulation of draft models learning history based Serat Wedhatama values. The results of this study are: (1) produce deconstruction of ethical values and morals in Serat Wedhatama, (2) description of the condition of learning history at a high school in Surakarta, (3) a draft model of a learning history based values of Serat Wedhatama

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the effectiveness of implementation of cooperative learning with group investigation and audiovisual media learning to improve student learning achievement and student`s attitude of love the homeland at junior high school students. The classroom action research was used as research approach. The subjects of research subjects were teachers and 32 students of class VIIIA. The data were analyzed by interactive analysis technique and comparative descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate the improvement of learning achievement with an average value of 70 in cycles I, 77 in cycles II, and 81.75 in cycle III. Meanwhile the attitude score for love of the homeland shows improvement with the average yield of 72 in cycles I, 82 in cycles II, and 85 in cycle 3. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the learning model for study Group Investigation with audiovisual learning media had proved to improve the learning achievement and attitude of love the homeland of student in the class VIIIA Sambirejo 2 State Junior High School.

Abstract

In the recent years, the topic of democracy has become important issues for Indonesian society. The designed curriculum and learning practices should be integrated with the thoughts of our founding fathers that reflect the values of democratic attitude. Sutan Syahrir as one of our founding fathers who gave his thoughts in settling the new direction about the democratic state after the Indonesian independence. Sutan Syahrir explains the concept of humanism in the freedom, equality, collectivity, the equality between right and responsibilities. The discussion of Sutan Syahrir’s thoughts can be extended to the issues of contemporary education. The authors argue that Sutan Syahrir’s thought can be used to develop the innovative learning based on the values of democracy. This article aims to give a conceptual framework of innovative learning about the Sutan Syahrir’s thought to improve the students’ democratic attitude.
