Abstract

Era digital sering disebut pula dengan era mondial, ataupun era global. Era digital merupakan istilah yang di gunakan dalam dunia digital, yaitu dunia yang menggunakan jaringan internet khususnya teknologi informasi komputer. Era digital merupakan media baru yang sering digunakan untuk menggambarkan teknologi digital. Media baru ini memiliki karakteristik khusus yang dapat dimanipulasi, bersifat jaringan atau internet. Selain wahana internet, misalnya seperti media cetak, telivisi, majalah, maupun koran, dan lainnya yang sejenis bukanlah termasuk dalam kategori media baru. Media massa akan beralih ke media baru atau dunia internet karena adanya pergeseran peradaban dalam sebuah penyampaian informasi dan penggunaaan teknologi. Berkaitan dengan pernyataan di atas, artikel ini bertujuan mengulas dampak atau kelebihan dan kerugian pembelajaran bahasa dengan wahana baru yang berada di era 4.0. Hal yang tidak mustahil kalau semua perubahan pastilah ada imbas baik dan buruknya. Demian pula yang terjadi pada era 4.0 atau era digital ini.

Abstract

The learning process in the world of education (ranging from elementary, secondary, and tertiary education) needs innovation and serious renewal creation because in reality so far there are still many learning models that are still conventional, there is no visible improvisation in learning, far from modern learning model in accordance with the demands of the times and the surrounding environmental conditions in which students or students are located. The research aims: 1) to describe how the conditions of second-semester student learning before using the Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) method; 2) to describe whether the STAD method of learning the at Widya Dharma Klaten University of II semester student achievement in the 2017/2018 Academic year can increase or not. The work steps taken consisted of five main components, namely presentation in class; form a team; make a quiz; score individually; and awards. Data analysis techniques by using descriptive analysis that is by finding the level of activity, Mean (M), learning outcomes, and learning completeness. The results showed that applying the STAD method there was a significant increase in learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate errors found among seventh-graders descriptive writing of  SMP N 2 Trucuk, Klaten district, Indonesia. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach. Data was collected from the notes-taking techniques from which the seventh-graders produced errors in their descriptive writing. Data analysis qualitatively identified seventh-graders descriptive writing. The results showed that there were errors found in the form of writing capital letters use, writing compound words, prepositions [at, to, and from], and punctuation marks [.] Errors in using capital letters included in naming geography at the beginning of sentences, capital letters used in people's names, and writing capital letters in the middle of sentences. Combination of spelling errors. Errors in writing prepositions (at, to, and from). Error using punctuation.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan pengaruh penambahan gula pasir sebesar 0,20% dan abu sekam padi sebesar 10% sebagai subsitutusi semen terhadap kuat tekan beton umur 4 hari, 14 hari, dan 28 hari. Beton memiliki banyak kegunaan di teknik sipil terutama dalam suatu struktur bangunan. Pendukung beban suatu struktur diperlukan adanya beton dengan kuat tekan yang tinggi. Perancangan beton kuat tekan tinggi dapat dipakai bahan tambah dalam adukan beton sesuai dengan fungsi kegunaan dan kadar yang tepat. Pemakaian Abu Sekam Padi dan gula pasir dinilai dapat menaikkan kuat tekan beton jika dipergunakan pada kadar yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemakaian Abu Sekam Padi dan gula pasir dalam menaikkan kuat tekan pada umur 3 hari, 14 hari, dan 28 hari maka perlu dibuat sebuah penelitian. Penelitian ini menggunakan bahan tambah Abu Sekam Padi dan gula pasir. Penelitian ini menggunakan Abu Sekam Padi sebanyak 10% dan gula pasir 0,2% dari berat semen dan nilai fas 0,4. Variasi umur yang digunakan adalah usia 3 hari, 14 hari, dan 28 hari.  Beton dengan penggunaan bahan tambah Abu Sekam Padi dan gula pasir ini akan dibandingkan hasil kuat tekannya terhadap beton normal yang diwakili oleh masing-masing tiga sampel pada setiap variasi umur. Sampel yang digunakan adalah silinder berdiameter 15 cm dan tinggi 30 cm. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa kuat tekan beton dengan bahan tambah Abu Sekam Padi dan gula pasir pada umur 3 hari mempunyai kuat tekan 15,84 Mpa dengan 80,89% dari kuat tekan beton normal. Pengujian kuat tekan pada umur 14 hari menunjukkan nilai kuat tekan 27,92 Mp dengan kenaikan 20,13 % dari kuat tekan beton normal. Pengujian  kuat tekan pada umur 28 hari mempunyai kuat tekan sebesar 36,49 Mpa dengan kenaikan 17,33 % dari beton normal.Kata kunci: beton, beton bertulang, gula pasir, abu sekam padi Abstrack — The purpose of this study was to determine and describe the effect of adding 0.20% granulated sugar and 10% rice husk ash as a cement substitute to the compressive strength of concrete aged 4 days, 14 days, and 28 days. Concrete has many uses in civil engineering, especially in a building structure. To support the load of a structure, it is necessary to have concrete with a high compressive strength. In the design of high compressive strength concrete, additional materials can be used in the concrete mix in accordance with the function of use and the right level. The use of rice husk ash and granulated sugar is considered to increase the compressive strength of concrete if used at the right levels. This study aims to determine the effect of using Rice Husk Ash and granulated sugar in increasing the compressive strength at the age of 3 days, 14 days, and 28 days, it is necessary to make a study. This research uses rice husk ash and sugar added. This study used Rice Husk Ash as much as 10% and 0.2% granulated sugar by weight of cement and a 0.4 phase value. The age variations used were 3 days, 14 days, and 28 days. Concrete with the use of rice husk ash and sugar added will be compared with the results of its compressive strength against normal concrete represented by three samples in each age variation. The sample used is a cylinder with a diameter of 15 cm and a height of 30 cm. The results showed that the compressive strength of concrete with rice husk ash and sugar added at the age of 3 days had a compressive strength of 15.84 MPa with 80.89% of the normal compressive strength of concrete. The compressive strength test at the age of 14 days showed the compressive strength value of 27.92 Mp with an increase of 20.13% from the normal compressive strength of concrete. The compressive strength test at the age of 28 days has a compressive strength of 36.49 MPa with an increase of 17.33% from normal concrete.

Abstract

Abstracts are essential components of academic research articles, providing a concise summary of the study's purpose, methods, results, and conclusions. This qualitative evidence synthesis examines the quality, structure, and content of abstracts in the fields of English Language Teaching (ELT) and Literature. A systematic search of relevant databases identified 15 peer-reviewed articles published in English with a focus on abstract writing. Thematic analysis was used to analyze the studies for their research findings, methodologies, and recommendations related to abstract writing. The findings reveal that abstracts tend to be descriptive, with a focus on presenting the research problem, methodology, and main findings. However, there is a lack of consistency in structure and content across journals, and the quality of abstracts varies widely. Based on the analysis, several key recommendations for improving abstract writing in ELT and Literature journals are proposed, including greater consistency and standardization across journals, and improved training for authors and reviewers. This qualitative evidence synthesis offers a thorough overview of the body of knowledge on the subject of writing effective abstracts for ELT and literature journals and makes suggestions for further study and practice in this field. The study highlights the need for greater attention to abstract writing quality, structure, and content, and provides practical recommendations for improving the quality of abstracts in ELT and Literature research articles using thematic analysis as a data analysis technique.

Abstract

Abstract The collection of short stories from the Orang-Orang Kotagede (Kotagede People) is the work of Darwis Khudori which was published in 2012. Although some of the short stories in this anthology were written in the 1970s and 1980s, they are still worthy and interesting to study. This study focuses on describing divorce which has a negative impact on family life. There are twenty short stories in this collection and five short stories dealing with husband-wife divorce cases. The divorce resulted in negative conditions for his family. This study is classified as a literature review using a qualitative approach. The data were obtained by reading, listening, and recording techniques which were then analyzed based on the divorce story of the married couple in the story. The results of the study are in the form of conclusions which reveal that the divorce carried out by a husband against his wife has a negative impact on family life, especially on economic life, and on their children. Abstract

Abstract Online learning is something new for educators and students, as well as parents. This novelty raises problems as well as the objectives of this research, namely 1) to find out how the implementation of online learning is; 2) to find out what obstacles are faced by the learning participants. This research is a case study research, with the data sources in the form of documents/archives, observations, and interviews. The data analysis technique is in the form of interactive analysis, namely continuous analysis, starting with data discovery, data collection, data reduction to arrive at conclusions and verification descriptively. The results of the study show that 1) online learning involves many parties (several components), such as teachers, students, parents, internet networks, devices, delivery techniques, and available electronic media; 2) The cause of the imperfection of online learning is because a) the teacher is already used to offline learning and stutters in dealing with online learning; b) students use negative learning freedom and are very dependent on the role of parents; c) parents also stutter in dealing with online learning technology and are highly dependent on the family economy; d) electricity disturbances and lack of quota/credit are the main reasons for not being able to take part in online learning; e) standard devices are reasons for students/parents not to be able to participate in online learning; f) the application of the offline lecture method is not appropriate for online learning because the teacher cannot control the activities of the students; g) teachers do not yet have the ability to use electronic media in learning using Google Meet.
