Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh intervensi bibliotherapy terhadap penyesuaian perkawinan pada pasangan suami istri. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi-Experiment dengan jenis rancangan “One Group Pretest-Posttest Design.” Subjek penelitian berjumlah 2 pasangan suami istri yang dibagi menjadi 1 kelompok, yaitu kelompok eksperimen dengan pemilihan subjek menggunakan teknik Accidental Sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah Dyadic Adjustment Scale (DAS) dari Spanier (1976) yang sudah digunakan oleh Rumondor (2010). Teknik analisis data menggunakan Paired Sample T-Test dengan bantuan program SPSS versi 22 for windows. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa intervensi bibliotherapy dapat meningkatkan penyesuaian perkawinan pasangan suami istri menjadi lebih tinggi dengan nilai t = -8,996 dan nilai p = 0,003 (p<0,005).

Abstract

Abstrak: Permasalahan kesehatan mental masih menjadi isu yang penting di daerah dengan stigma negatif terhadap gangguan kesehatan mental. Tingginya kasus bunuh diri merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan mental. Selain itu, kurangnya akses terhadap dukungan sosial maupun bantuan tenaga profesional semakin memperparah kecenderungan individu untuk melakukan bunuh diri. Saat ini, sumber daya yang memiliki keterampilan untuk memberikan pertolongan pertama psikologis masih sangat minim. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan pertolongan pertama psikologis agar para kader dapat memiliki keterampilan yang lebih baik dalam memberikan Pertolongan Pertama Psikologis. Metode pelaksanaannya mencakup proses identifikasi dan rekrutmen, pengembangan modul, pelaksanaan pelatihan, supervisi dan pendampingan, sosialisasi dan kampanye, penguatan jaringan rujukan, serta monitoring dan evaluasi program. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada 17 Oktober 2025 dengan melibatkan 50 peserta dari kader Posyandu di Gunungkidul. Efektifitas pelatihan dilakukan dengan pengukuran skor pre-post test. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan peserta tentang keterampilan PFA yang dibuktikan dari peningkatan rata-rata skor pre-test yaitu sebesar 59.00 menjadi 92.80 pada skor post-test. Hasil ini memberikan implikasi bagi para kader Keswa agar dapat membantu mengatasi masalah kesehatan mental dan tentunya berdampak pada turunnya angka kasus bunuh diri.Abstract: Mental health problems remain an important issue in regions where there is still a negative stigma toward mental disorders. The high rate of suicide cases represents one of the major mental health challenges. In addition, the lack of access to social support and professional assistance further exacerbates individuals’ tendencies toward suicidal behavior. Currently, there are still very limited human resources with the necessary skills to provide Psychological First Aid (PFA). Therefore, this community service activity aims to provide PFA training so that community health volunteers (cadres) can develop better skills in delivering Psychological First Aid. The implementation methods include the processes of identification and recruitment, module development, training implementation, supervision and mentoring, socialization and campaigning, strengthening referral networks, as well as program monitoring and evaluation. The activity was conducted on October 17, 2025, involving 50 participants from Posyandu cadres in Gunungkidul. The effectiveness of the training was evaluated through pre-test and post-test score measurements. The analysis results showed an increase in participants’ knowledge of PFA skills, as evidenced by the rise in the average pre-test score from 59.00 to 92.80 in the post-test. These results have implications for mental health cadres, enabling them to help address mental health issues and, consequently, contribute to reducing suicide rates.

Abstract

Background: College students are exposed to diverse interpersonal dynamics that may give rise to conflict and emotional distress. Such conditions can trigger anger, withdrawal, or retaliatory impulses. Forgiveness is considered one way to reduce the negative impact of conflict, while empathy is believed to play a role in helping individuals understand the perspectives of others. Objective: This study aimed to examine the relationship between empathy and forgiveness among college students. Method: The study involved 100 students, (50 males and 50 females). Forgiveness was measured using the Transgression-Related Interpersonal Motivation Scale (α = 0.913), while empathy was assessed using the Interpersonal Reactivity Index (α = 0.820). The data were analyzed using Pearson’s Product-Moment correlation. Result: The analysis revealed a correlation coefficient = −0.041, with p = 0.344 (p > 0.05), indicating that there was no significant positive relationship between empathy and forgiveness among students. Conclusion: Empathy was not found to be significantly associated with forgiveness. These findings suggest that forgiveness is influenced by other factors beyond empathy, such as emotion regulation, psychological maturity, and personal values. Therefore, intervention programs in university settings should focus not only on enhancing empathy but also on strengthening emotional regulation, conflict resolution, and psychological resilience.

Abstract

Objective of this research is to understand the effectivity of the progressive muscle relaxation in order to decline the stress level among the HIV/AIDS infected ladymen. We propose the hypothesis that there will be a decline stress level among those HIV/AIDS ladymen just after they received the progressive muscle relaxation. Five ladymen participate in this research and their stress level are moderate untill high. Design of this research is the one group pretest-posttest. Instrument of data collection is the DASS 42 Stress Scalle. We ask participants to complete the scale just before and after receiving five times progressive muscle relaxation. This research reveals that there is a significant difference in stress level between before and after receiving five timer progressive muscle relaxation (Z = -2,032, p = .042 or p< .05). The mean scores for the stress level are 26.00 and 15.00 just before and after receiving the progressive muscle relaxation respectively. Based on that data, we come to conclusion that the progresssive muscle relaxation is effective in reducing stress level among the infected HIV/AIDS ladymen.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the differences in the level of anger among adolescents who live in anti-care treatment before and after forgiveness training. The method used in this study was a non-randomized control group with a pretest-posttest design and measured three times (pretest, posttest, and follow-up). The subjects of this study were 10 adolescents in the orphanage and had anger scores in the high and medium categories. Subjects were divided into experimental group and control group. The experimental group was given treatment in the form of a forgiveness training intervention. The measuring instrument used to see the anger score of adolescent orphanages using State-Trait Anger Expression Inventory-2 (STAXY-2). The data analysis technique used is the Mann Whitney U-Test analysis technique. Result analysis (p = 0.008 <0.05), meaning that there is a difference in the anger score of adolescents in the orphanage after being given a forgiveness training intervention compared to the control group, where the level of anger in the experimental group after being given the intervention was lower than the control group. Based on the explanation above, it can be concluded that forgiveness training can reduce anger in adolescents living in orphanages.
