Abstract

Rabies is a disease that attacks the central nervous system (brain) caused by the rabies virus. Rabies is the most frightening infectious disease in the province of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) where two people in TTU district were reported to have died from the Rabies virus due to being exposed to GHPR. This research was conducted to see the effect of vaccination on dogs on the rate of rabies transmission. The method used is to first create a mathematical model of rabies transmission by adding vaccination variables, then conducting numerical analysis and simulation. The model formed is . This model is formed to see the effect of vaccination in animals on the transmission of rabies in humans. This model has two equilibrium points, namely a disease-free equilibrium point with the results of the analysis of its stability conditions being locally asymptotically stable when   and a disease-endemic equilibrium point with its stability conditions being unstable when . This means that rabies will disappear within a certain period of time. Numeric simulation was performed to support the analysis results using MAPLE software. The simulation results show that in more than 120 days rabies will disappear. Vaccination has a significant impact on the transmission of rabies, that is, the greater the rate of vaccination, the faster it will stop the transmission of rabies. Abstract

The research conducted involves a study of the physics concepts that can be found in the movements of the Bonet dance. The focus of this research is to position the Bonet dance in different contexts according to the philosophy of the dance, relating it to the physics concepts within the dance movements. This study is qualitative in nature, using descriptive qualitative methods. The data sources consist of literature review and documentation. The results of the research show that physics concepts have been identified in the basic movements of the Bonet dance. Some of the physics concepts found in the movements of the Bonet dance include frictional force, equilibrium, momentum, inertia, and torque. This demonstrates that culture can be used to explain or illustrate physics concepts. Thus, the Bonet dance of the Dawan tribe can be used as a learning resource for students in physics classes.

Abstract

Faloak is a plant species native to the East Nusa Tenggara region and Australia, widely used by the local community in NTT as an herbal medicine, particularly in treating liver disease, digestive disorders, and fatigue. However, this study presents a new application by analyzing its physical-chemical properties and evaluating its effectiveness in the synthesis of activated carbon. This study aims to explore and analyze the potential of Faloak bark as a source of activated carbon, which has not been examined in previous research. This research uses a quantitative approach by conducting controlled laboratory experiments to measure and analyze the variation in activator concentration on the water and ash content of activated carbon. The research applied the physical-chemical activation method. The physical activation process involved heating at temperatures ranging from 250°C to 450°C, while chemical activation was conducted using ZnCl₂ and NaOH at concentrations of 1 N, 2 N, and 3 N. This method was selected to determine the optimal conditions for converting Faloak bark into activated carbon, focusing on temperature and chemical activators. The findings indicate that the optimum temperature for activated carbon formation is 300°C. Additionally, tests using chemical activators showed that Faloak bark performs best with a 2 N NaOH solution, as evidenced by ash and water contents of 0.03% and 0.65%, respectively. Functional group analysis through FTIR testing identified the presence of  (hydroxyl), aromatic C=C, and carbonyl C=O groups, further supporting the potential of Faloak bark as a viable material for activated carbon production. The findings suggest that Faloak bark has significant potential to be developed into an activated carbon product.

Abstract

Shipping is the process of transporting goods from producers to consumers. Most goods will be shipped through a cargo transportation network (physical goods) delivered by land, sea and air. The increasing number of internet users among the public encourages more people to ship goods online. The many choices of shipping services available often cause confusion and obstacles for the public in determining the best service according to their needs, both in terms of cost, delivery time, type of payment and shipping costs. To avoid existing problems, a decision support system is needed that can make it easier for the public to make the right decision in choosing a shipping service partner. The Decision Support System (DSS) for selecting a shipping service partner at the Kefamenanu branch aims to help the public make more precise and efficient decisions in choosing a shipping partner. The method used in this study is the Multi Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT), which allows comparison of various important criteria in selecting a delivery partner. The decision-making process is carried out by assessing each alternative delivery partner based on the weight of the previously determined criteria. Each partner is then given a score for each criterion, which is then calculated using the maut method to produce a final score with the highest score from each alternative. The results of this system are able to provide the best recommendations in selecting delivery services objectively. That way, the Kefamenanu community can make wiser decisions. The implementation of this SPK can improve operational efficiency and community satisfaction, as well as reduce errors in decision making. Thus, this system can help the community to improve the performance of goods delivery at the Kefamenanu branch.Keywords: Delivery of Goods, Decision Support System (DSS), Kefamenanu Community, Maut, Performance

Abstract

Kebijakan Kampus Merdeka, yang digagas oleh Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi (Kemendikbudristek) pada tahun 2020, berperan penting dalam mempersiapkan sumber daya manusia yang kompeten dan mampu beradaptasi dengan perkembangan di era Industri 4.0 dan Society 5.0. Untuk mendukung kesiapan Perguruan Tinggi dalam menghadapi tantangan tersebut, kebijakan Kampus Merdeka memberikan kebebasan bagi mahasiswa untuk memperoleh pengalaman belajar di luar lingkungan kampus melalui program Studi Independen yang bertujuan untuk membekali mahasiswa dengan keterampilan praktis yang relevan dengan perkembangan teknologi yang diterapkan dalam dunia industri. Program ini memungkinkan mahasiswa untuk mendalami bidang yang diminati seperti Artificial Intelegence dengan bimbingan dari lembaga mitra salah satunya adalah PT. Orbit Ventura Indonesia. Pembelajaran dilakukan secara daring dimulai dari bulan agustus 2023 hingga januari 2024 yang dimonitoring oleh Dosen Pendamping Program (DPP). DPP melakukan koordinasi bersama mitra dalam mengevaluasi proses pembelajaran mahasiswa di PT. Orbit Ventura Indonesia. Hasil monitoring dilaporkan secara berkala melalui LMS Kampus Merdeka.

Abstract

Mata Pelajaran fisika merupakan salah satu mata Pelajaran yang diajarkan di Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) yang lebih mudah dipahami jika menggunakan praktek dan simulasi yang sesuai. Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) berupa pelatihan penggunaan software Geogebra sebagai media pembelajaran fisika interaktif di SMA Negeri Taekas bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran fisika dengan memanfaatkan teknologi dalam bentuk Geogebra, sebuah perangkat lunak yang memungkinkan integrasi antara konsep matematika dan fisika. Metode pelatihan yang digunakan melibatkan guru fisika dan siswa dalam serangkaian workshop yang fokus pada pengenalan fitur Geogebra dan cara mengintegrasikannya dalam pembelajaran fisika. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan ini berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep fisika dan meningkatkan minat mereka dalam proses pembelajaran. Selain itu, hasil lainnya menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Geogebra tidak hanya memfasilitasi pemahaman konsep fisika, tetapi juga meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Stunting merupakan permasalahan kesehatan masyarakat yang memerlukan perhatian serius, terutama di wilayah perbatasan Republik Indonesia (RI) dan Republik Demokrat Timor-Leste (RDTL). Kabupaten Timor Tengah Utara, Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) merupakan salah satu wilayah perbatasan RI-RDTL dan menjadi salah satu wilayah yang memiliki tingkat stunting yang signifikan. Kajian studi status gizi Indonesia (SSGI) pada tahun 2022 menunjukkan Kabupaten Timor Tengah Utara masuk dalam posisi 5 Kabupaten dengan prevalensi Stunting tertinggi dari 246 Kabupaten di Indonesia dengan nilai 46,7%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG) berbasis website sebagai alat analisis dalam menentukan lokasi prioritas penanganan stunting di wilayah perbatasan RI-RDTL, dengan fokus pada Kecamatan Biboki Anleu. SIG digunakan untuk memetakan distribusi spasial stunting, mengidentifikasi faktor risiko yang berkaitan dengan stunting, dan memberikan rekomendasi lokasi prioritas penanganan stunting. Metode penelitian yang digunakan melibatkan survei lapangan, pengumpulan data kesehatan, serta pemanfaatan teknologi SIG untuk menganalisis distribusi spasial dan faktor risiko stunting. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada Tahun 2022 dari 9 Desa/Kelurahan di Kecamatan Biboki Anleu, terdapat konsentrasi kasus stunting di Kelurahan Ponu dan Desa Motadik. Dengan adanya SIG ini, diharapkan pihak terkait dapat mengambil keputusan yang lebih tepat dalam alokasi sumber daya untuk program penanganan stunting. Implementasi SIG berbasis website dalam penanganan stunting di wilayah perbatasan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi model untuk daerah-daerah lain yang menghadapi tantangan serupa dalam upaya peningkatan kesehatan Masyarakat.

Abstract

SMP Kristen Kefamenanu has facilities and infrastructure such as the availability of classrooms, computer laboratory rooms, libraries and others. There are obstacles in the implementation of school learning that is still centered on teachers and does not use computer-aided learning media. Therefore, service activities are carried out to increase the interest and ability of students in the learning process through the use of computer technology. Some of the activities carried out to solve problems in SMP Kristen Kefamenanu: a) providing training on Mathematics learning media for SMP Kristen Kefamenanu and b) providing training on computer technology in the form of MS. Excel Software to SMP Kristen Kefamenanu. The results of the service activities carried out show that there is an increase for students in understanding mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division involving complex numbers. In addition, the existence of computer-aided media also increases students' interest for learning process.

Abstract

Karakterisitik biolistrik pada jaringan biologis dapat diketahui dari nilai impedansinya. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan elektroda jarum yang dihubungkan ke Picoscope series 5000 dengan tujuan untuk mengukur besarnya impedansi dari daging ikan nila pada penbambahan besar frekuensi. Besarnya frekuensi yang diberikan berada pada rentang 10 kHz – 100 kHz. Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik nilai impedansi jaringan daging ikan nila mengalami penurunan pada penambahan besar frekuensi. Penurunan nilai impedansi ini terjadi karena adanya efek kapasitansi pada jaringan daging ikan nila.
