Abstract

Background: Basic immunization is an important preventive strategy to protect infants from infectious diseases that can be prevented by vaccination. At Posyandu X, Bekasi Regency, basic immunization coverage has not yet reached the optimal target. One factor suspected to be the cause of this low coverage is the low level of knowledge of mothers regarding the importance of immunization, including its benefits, schedule, and potential side effects. Lack of information can impact low awareness and participation of parents in completing their children's immunizations. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between maternal knowledge levels and the completeness of basic immunizations in children aged 0–12 months. Method: This study used a quantitative method with a descriptive correlational approach and a cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 80 mothers with infants aged 0–12 months, selected using a purposive sampling technique. The instruments used included a questionnaire to measure maternal knowledge levels and a checklist to assess the completeness of children's immunizations. Data analysis was performed using the Chi-Square test. Results: The results showed that most mothers had a low level of knowledge (48%). In addition, only 37.5% of infants received complete basic immunizations. The analysis results showed a significant relationship between maternal knowledge and the completeness of basic immunization (p < 0.05). Conclusion: Maternal knowledge is significantly related to the completeness of basic immunization in children aged 0–12 months. Therefore, it is recommended that Posyandu regularly provide education and counseling to improve maternal knowledge and basic immunization coverage in the community.

Abstract

Background: Picky eater is a condition in which children exhibit selective eating behavior, such as refusing to try new foods or only wanting to eat certain types of food. This habit can have a negative impact on nutritional adequacy, growth, and children's ability to interact socially. According to WHO, around 28.7% of toddlers in the world experience growth problems, and Indonesia is ranked third in Southeast Asia in this regard. One of the factors that can influence the emergence of picky eating behavior is parenting and parental eating habits. Research Objective: This is to determine the relationship between parenting and parental eating behavior with the tendency of children to become picky eaters. The design uses quantitative descriptive correlation, involving 73 respondents. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test. Results: The study showed a significant relationship between parenting and parental eating behavior with picky eating behavior in preschool children (p = 0.001). Conclusion: that inappropriate parenting can increase the risk of children becoming picky eaters by 5.8 times, while poor eating behavior from parents can increase the risk by up to 8.3 times (OR = 5.8; 8.3). Therefore, it is important for parents to implement supportive parenting styles and demonstrate healthy eating habits as an example for their children.

Abstract

Background: Anxiety is a psychological factor that can affect students' learning ability and academic achievement. Vocational High School (SMK) students generally face high academic pressure and demands for practical skills, which have the potential to cause anxiety. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between anxiety levels and students' academic achievement at SMK X Jakarta. This study uses a quantitative approach with an observational analytical design and a cross-sectional approach method. The population in the study amounted to 65 students, all of whom were sampled using a total sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using validated instruments, then analyzed using the Spearman Rho correlation test. Results: The analysis showed a very weak positive relationship between anxiety levels and academic achievement, with a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.006 and a significance value of 0.965 (p > 0.05). This value indicates that statistically there is no significant relationship between anxiety levels and students' academic achievement at SMK X Jakarta. The conclusion is that anxiety does not have a significant effect on academic achievement in the context of this study. These results can be a consideration for schools in developing learning strategies and psychological support for students, although other factors beyond anxiety still need to be considered as determinants of academic success
