Abstract

Bakso Mantul is a household industry produces ready-to-eat packaged frozen meatballs with sales areas in South Sumatra, Indonesia. The absence of halal certification of the products failed the business to get benefit of increasing income and consumer’s trust. The obligation to certify halal products is based on the Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 33 of 2014. The preparation and performance measurement of halal supply chain management implemented by Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) could support to obtain the certification. The purpose of the study is to prepare Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) using Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) as a form of standardization. SCOR could be used to maintain the products’ halal quality and measure the performance of all halal supply chain activities in the cycle view push process. From the validation results carried out by internal and external respondents of MSMEs, 12 KPIs obtained are considered valid and could be used to measure the performance of halal supply chain. From the measurement, a value of 50.78 is still categorized as average based on the Snorm De Boer system. The KPI analysis using the Traffic Light System (TLS) shows that seven KPIs are satisfying, four are not satisfactory, and one is marginal.

Abstract

The availability of auxiliary materials is one of the important elements in the production process. Running out of these materials causes the product not to meet the product standards. Therefore, it is necessary to control the supply of auxiliary materials. PT. Petrokimia Gresik, in the process of making fertilizer, used auxiliary materials including Bentonite, Brucite, Red Clay, and Na/K-CO3. In this study, a comparison was made between the min-max method and Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method. The data collected for this study include data on the use of auxiliary materials in 2021, holding costs, ordering costs, Consumption Rate (CR), lead time (LT), safety factor (SF), and unit cost. The results obtained that the use of the EOQ method can reduce the frequency of ordering auxiliary materials and provide savings in total inventory costs of up to 3% compared to the current min-max method. In addition, based on the calculation provide information that Brucite should be put on priority because it provides the highest total inventory cost compared to other auxiliary materials.

Abstract

Padang City is an area that is predicted to occur in the Mentawai Megathrust disaster. In dealing with these potential disasters, proper planning is needed to reduce the impact of disasters. The exact location of the Temporary Evacuation Sites (TES) will affect the safety level of the community. However, based on the current situation, the COVID-19 pandemic adds to the complexity of disaster management. Therefore, anticipatory steps are needed to prevent the spread of disease in the environment. This study aims to design a TES location-allocation to deal with the potential Mentawai Megathrust disaster in Padang City by adjust to physical distancing health protocols. Determination of the location-allocation in this study is using Network Analysis extension namely Maximum Capacitated Location Problem (MCLP) in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). In addition, this study uses an evacuation time scenario with an interval of 3-30 minutes consisting of two different scenarios involving the use of community response times to disasters. The location-allocation results consist of four results based on the scenario of evacuation time and the addition of Proposed TES. Based on the location-allocation results, with the addition of Proposed TES, the maximum number of people that can be accommodated is only around 34-39 percent in both evacuation scenarios. This shows that there is a need for further design related to both Existing TES and Proposed TES so that the percentage of the number of people who can be accommodated can increase.

Abstract

The process of distributing blood bags by the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) DKI Jakarta uses route selection preferences by ambulance drivers. Basically, this routing problem can impact other aspects such as additional costs, distribution time, fuel use, carbon emissions, and others, so this research needs to propose the best route to minimize travel distance. There are several Hospital Blood Banks (BDRS) in Jakarta that do not receive blood bags at the right time. As an organization authorized to provide blood bag supply, the PMI must distribute blood bag using the 7R concept (Right Time, Right Place, Right Quantity, Right Quality, Right Cost, Right Condition, and Right People). The PMI also has to consider that blood bags are classified as perishable items that need to require fast and precise handling. Therefore, it is necessary to optimize the blood distribution by minimizing travel distance. The optimization model used is the Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) with AMPL software comparing with the Nearest Neighbor (NN) algorithm. After 4 hours of running the trial, this research has revealed that AMPL software gives the best combination of travel distance than the Nearest Neighbor algorithm, with the differences being approximately 11.52 km.

Abstract

PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Sorong Fuel Terminal is a company engaged in receiving, stockpiling, and distributing. Fuel stockpiled in the tank will be distributed through a tank truck with a capacity of 5,000 liters. The limited capacity of the tank truck makes the distribution less than optimal. The limited tank truck capacity triggers problems in the distribution system, especially considering that the life of 3 of the 6 existing tank trucks will expire in 2024. By considering the remaining time, the company needs to evaluate the distribution facilities that will be used and one of the solutions is to vary the capacity of the tank trucks. This problem can be solved through several considerations such as the urgency of tank truck needs, the amount of fuel needed, the infrastructure of the Sorong region, and some data that will be processed using Anylogistix. The results show that with the new tank truck capacity variations, namely 28,000 liter and 15,000 liter, in the selected periods it is more efficient by 24.58%, 3.44%, 31.6%, 26.37%, 30.67%, and 23.65% in terms of time compared to without variation. In addition, 445.6 liters of fuel can be saved in a month. All demands can be met from the minimization results so that this solution can optimize the distribution carried out and have a positive impact on the company.

Abstract

The development of the cosmetics industry in Indonesia has shown growth in line with changes in lifestyle, particularly among the younger generation. As a generation that has grown up with broad access to technology and information, Gen Z possesses a heightened awareness of the composition and production processes of the cosmetic products they use, including the halal label, which is one of the main preferences for Muslim consumers. The implementation of a halal supply chain is an effort to ensure the halal integrity of the products used. Unfortunately, just a few studies have explored the factors driving Gen Z's purchase interest in cosmetic products that adopt a halal supply chain. This study aims to explore and gain deeper insights into these factors so that various stakeholders involved can determine appropriate strategies to meet these needs. Various variables and indicators were employed in this research using the Structural Equation Model Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) model to identify the factors that most influence Gen Z's purchase interest in cosmetic products adopting a halal supply chain. The results of the study indicate that, after the variables of packaging and halal labeling, the product storage variable becomes the most influential factor in Gen Z's purchase interest. Therefore, greater attention is needed to ensure the implementation and quality of this variable within the halal cosmetics supply chain.

Abstract

PT Elnusa Petrofin (EPN) is a company engaged in the logistics and distribution of fuel oil (BBM) in Indonesia, including supporting the Public Service Obligation (PSO) and One Price BBM programs managed by Pertamina. The reliability of the tank car fleet is a crucial factor in this service, so PT Elnusa Petrofin implements three maintenance programs that include preventive, corrective, and overhaul maintenance. However, in five Fuel Terminals in East Nusa Tenggara, the implementation of this program is constrained by limited spare parts due to the absence of authorized dealers and the lengthy procurement process, which results in a 4% delay in tank car repairs. Therefore, this study proposes the construction of spare parts hubs or warehouses in these five locations, intending to reduce transportation costs and time and reduce repair delays. The method used is Green Field Analysis (GFA) with AnyLogistix software and Center of Gravity (CoG) to determine the optimal location of the warehouse. The GFA results show coordinates (-8.8527219759, 121.6625537826) in Tetandara, Ende Regency, while CoG produces coordinates (-8.59346303874142, 121.010483387574) in Denatana, Ngada Regency. The cost analysis shows that shipping under existing conditions, i.e. directly from Jakarta to five locations in NTT, costs IDR 44,475,500, while through a hub in Ende Regency can save up to 57.80% at a cost of IDR 18,766,000. Meanwhile, the alternative hub in Ngada Regency offers 20.20% savings at a cost of IDR 35,491,000.
