Abstract

Nusukan is one village with a tendency for people who prefer to consume fast food and lack of attention to a healthy lifestyle. This causes a lot of society are affected by diabetes mellitus, hyperlipidemia and uric acid. Nusukan society RW 22 who are not aware that they have the disease. For it is necessary to check blood glucose levels, cholesterol and uric acid that can be detected early. The purpose of this program is to provide education on the dangers and prevention of diabetes mellitus, hyperlipidemia, and uric acid. It is also to help people to detect diabetes mellitus, hyperlipidemia and uric acid using stick test and spektropothometry method. Of the 30 people there were seven people who are abnormal blood glucose levels or diabetes mellitus, according stated test stick method, whereas in spectrophotometric methods there are 2 people. Uric acid test of RW 22, there are 7 people who exceed the normal limits, whereas cholesterol levels there are 22 people who exceed normal cholesterol levels (hyperlipidemia) with a test stick method, whereas in sprektropothometry there are 18 people who hyperlipidemia. Methods stick test results show higher levels compared to the spectrophotometric method.

Abstract

The development of endemic diseases such as worm infections that are transmitted through soil is strongly influenced by climatic conditions in tropical Indonesia. The worms included in the Soil Transmitted Helminth are Ascaris lumbricoides, Trichuris trichiura and Hookworm (Necator americanus and Ancylostoma duodenale). Ngagrong is a village in the highlands in Boyolali Regency. The majority of the population works as farmers, especially vegetable farmers. It is suspected that the habit of farmers while working who sometimes do not use personal protective equipment such as gloves and footwear in the form of sandals or shoes that directly contact with the soil and eat food without first washing their hands can give them a risk of worm infection. Intestinal Nematodes of Soil Transmitted Helminth in vegetable farmers In Ngagrong Village, Ampel Subdistrict, Boyolali Regency, Central Java.This research was conducted at the Parasitology Laboratory of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Setia Budi University, Surakarta in January 2019. The samples taken were stools and nails of 30 vegetable farmers in Ngagrong Village, Ampel Subdistrict, Boyolali Regency. The technique used is directly with lugol dyes in faecal samples and sedimentation (deposition) with 0.25% NaOH in nail samples. The results of the examination obtained from 30 faecal samples of vegetable farmers were found to have a positive percentage of results found in 3.33% of the Soil Transmitted Helminth Intestinal Nematodes, namely Hookworm worm eggs. In the nail sample, negative results were not infected with the parasitic Transmitted Helminth Soil Group with a percentage of 100% of the 30 nail samples examined.

Abstract

Organic wastes disposal without sufficient treatment by both Tani Makmur Association Farmer Groups and Alcohol Industry Small and Medium Enterprises in Ngombakan Village and chemical fertilizer application has indicated paddy soil quality decrease in surrounding area. IbM’s implementation as joint business pioneering trial in their organic wastes based fertilizer production is an effective strategy to solve those problems. Mainly, the activity purpose is to transfer technology of organic fertilizer production method from vinasse, cow dung, rice straw, and paddy soil. Thetechnologywhich be transferred consist ofvinasse pre-treatment, rice straw and paddy soil-based bioactivator production and propagation, organic fertilizer production using double composting method from vinasse, cow dung, and rice straw with rice straw and paddy soil-based bioactivator, and its organic fertilizer products application into rice plant. The techology transfer methods used are giving talks & discussion, demonstration & practice, and accompaniment. Event was attended by 25 participants from Tani Makmur Association Farmer Groups and 6 participants from Ngombakan Alcohol Industry Small and Medium Enterprises. In this activity, given 4 liquid organic composter having capacity 60 L, 10 L of bioactivator (consortium of Azotobacter, phosphate solubilizing bacteria, and sellulolitic bacteria), bioactivator propagation tools, 2 pre-treatment vinasse drums having capacity 200 L, and leaflet for each transfer tecnology topics. Results of activity showed an increased the ability to do vinasse pre-treatment for Ngombakan Alcohol Industry Small and Medium Enterprises, and to propagate bioactivator, to produce organic fertilizers, and to apply its products to their rice plant field for the farmers. Abstract

Some plants such as Moringa, green tea, binahong, and green meniran can be used as alternative antimicrobials because they are proven to contain antibacterial compounds. This study aimed to determine the antibacterial activity of the ethanolic extracts of Moringa leaves, green tea leaves, binahong leaves, and green meniran against Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 27853. The extracts were obtained by maceration method with 70% ethanol solvent and tested for their antibacterial activity using the well diffusion method with a concentration of 60%. The results showed that the ethanolic extracts of Moringa leaves, green tea leaves, binahong leaves, and green meniran had antibacterial activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 27853 with inhibitory powers of 20.6 mm, 17.3 mm, 15.6 mm, and 22.6 mm. Meniran green ethanolic extract has the most active antibacterial activity.

Abstract

Pengomposan domestic biowaste dan leachate dijalankan dalam kondisi anaerob dengan sistem batch. Proses dijalankan dalam 3 set komposter dengan volume yang sama namun perbandingan komposisi bahan baku yang berbeda. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji proses pengolahan domestic biowaste dan leachate dalam proses pengomposan. Hasil yang diperoleh, penambahan leachate dapat mempercepat proses pengomposan karena leachate mengandung sejumlah mikroorganisme yang dibutuhkan dalam proses pengomposan. Selain itu, leachate juga mengandung senyawa xenobiotik. Oleh karena itu penggunaan leachate dengan kadar 50% memberikan hasil lebih efektif jika dibandingkan dengan penggunannya dengan kadar 100%. Abstract

Salmonella sp merupakan bakteri yang daapt menyebabkan foodborne disease di berbagai negara terutama di negara berkembang. Salmonella sp dapat dijumpai pada saluran percernaan manusia maupun hewan. Penularannya dapat melalui makanan yang tercemar, daging, telur dan susu. Histopatologi merupakan ilmu yang mempelajari tentang kondisi dan fungsi jaringan yang dihubungkan dengan penyakit. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya bakteri Salmonella sp pada hati ayam dan gambaran struktur jaringan hati ayam yang terinfeksi dan tidak terinfeksi. Sampel diambil secara acak dipasar tradisional di kota Boyolali kemudian dilakukan dilakukan pemeriksaan mikrobiologi dan pemeriksaan histopatologi dengan pengecatan Hematoksilin Eosin. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa dari 5 sampel yang diteliti, didapatkan hasil 3 positif Salmonella sp meskipun secara kasat mata hati ayam tidak memiliki perubahan fisik yang menentukan adanya bakteri Salmonella sp. Sedangkan pada hasil pemeriksan histopatologi tidak ada beda antara hasil gambaran struktur jaringan hati ayam yang terinfeksi dan tidak terinfeksi Salmonella sp, hasil ini menunjukan bahwa kerusakan pada sel jaringan pada sampel bukan diakibatkan oleh infeksi bakteri Salmonella sp.

Abstract

Pediculus humanus var. capitis merupakan ektoparasit obligat pemakan darah di kepala manusia.. Personal hygiene ialah tindakan menjaga kebersihan dan kesehatan diri dalam upaya mencegah timbulnya suatu penyakit, meningkatkan percaya diri, dan menciptakan keindahan diri. Studi literatur ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan personal hygiene terhadap infeksi Pediculus humanus capitis pada santriwati di Pondok Pesantren. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan studi literatur riview melalui Sumber literatur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ditelusuri melalui internet dengan Google Scholar, Portal Garuda, SINTA, dan Elsevier. Penelusuran menggunakan kata kunci Pediculus Humanus Capitis, Personal Hygiene, Pediculosis capitis, dan Pondok Pesantren. Hasil pengumpulan literatur dengan cara melakukan pemilihan jurnal yang terdiri dari: 5 jurnal internasional, 5 jurnal nasional terakreditasi dan 5 jurnal nasional yang tidak terakreditasi. Banyaknya studi literature yang membahas tentang hubungan personal hygiene terhadap infeksi Pediculus humanus capitis pada Santriwati di Pondok Pesantren. Kesimpulan studi literatur riview ini terdapat hubungan antara Personal Hygiene terhadap kejadian Pediculosis capitis pada santriwati di Pondok Pesantren.

Abstract

INTISARI Tuberkulosis (TB) ialah suatu penyakit infeksi yang disebabkan oleh bakteri Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB). Determinan penyakit TB paru meliputi jenis kelamin, dan usia. Suspect TB adalah seseorang yang diduga menderita TB sehingga perlu ditegakkan dengan pemeriksaan laboratorium. Diagnosis pasti TB adalah dengan ditemukannya MTB pada pemeriksaan biakan dahak pada kultur Lowenstein Jensen (LJ), namun hasil pemeriksaan LJ membutuhkan waktu ± 8 minggu. Metode Tes Cepat Molekuler (TCM) Genxpert merupakan terobosan program TB untuk pasien TB Resisten Obat. Metode TCM membutuhkan waktu dua jam untuk mendapatkan hasil diagnosis pasien. RSUP Surakarta merupakan salah satu tempat rujukan pemeriksaan laboratorium TB dari berbagai fasyankes. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik pasien, hasil pemeriksaan TCM GenXpert dan kultur Loewenstein Jensen. Jenis penelitian deskriptif observasional dengan desain cross sectional. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 235 merupakan total populasi suspect TB di RSUP Surakarta pada bulan Januari-Maret 2022. Data penelitian merupakan data sekunder yang diperoleh dari RSUP Surakarta. Hasil penelitian jumlah suspect TB berusia 3-81 tahun, laki-laki 154 orang (65,5%) dan perempuan 81 orang (34,5%). Suspect TB dengan hasil negati 164 (69,8%), rif sensitif 71 sampel (30,2%). Hasil kultur negatif 169 (71,9%) dan positif 66 sampel (28,15). Alat TCM GenXpert dibandingkan dengan kultur LJ memiliki sensitivitas 77,27%, spesifitas 88,7%, NPP 71,83%, dan 90,85%. Disimpulkan hasil alat TCM GenXpert memiliki sensitifitas dan spesifitas yang baik sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai alat skrining TB. Kultur Loewenstein Jensen tetap diperlukan sebagai baku emas pemeriksaan untuk menghindari hasil positif palsu.

Abstract

The prevalence of Diabetes Mellitus in Indonesia is increasing, Uncontrolled blood glucose levels may lead to diabetic ulcers, which in turn can lead to peripheral neuropathy. The bacterium Staphylococcus aureus is a possible source of this illness. Staphylococcus aureus has become a major health risk due to the rise in bacterial resistance to many classes of antibiotics, making sensitivity testing imperative. The purpose of this investigation is to identify Staphylococcus aureus in ulcer samples from RSUD Dr. Moewardi's diabetic patients and to investigate their susceptibility to various antibiotics. This type of research is an analytic observational approach cross sectional namely research to determine the sensitivity of bacteria to antibiotics by the diffusion method with Kirby-Bauer discs. This research was conducted by isolating bacteria Staphylococcus aureus in ulcer samples of patients with diabetes mellitus and then tested for sensitivity to antibiotics. The results of the ulcer sample isolation showed that out of 10 samples there were 4 positive ulcer samples Staphylococcus aureus. Sensitivity test results show that Staphylococcus aureus 100% sensitive to the antibiotics Ciprofloxacin, Imipenem, Gentamicin, and Vancomycin, 90% sensitive to the antibiotic Erythromycin, while 10% is intermediate to the antibiotic Erythromycin

Abstract

Pandemic covid-19 memunculkan berbagai mulai dari aspek ekonomi, kesehatan, pendidikan, dan aspek sosial yang lain. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi dan pendampingan agar siswa dapat mengikuti kegiatan belajar dengan suka cita tanpa tertekan baik di sekolah maupun di rumah sesuai dengan protokol kesehatan serta untuk memelihara kesehatan mental siswa. Metode yang digunakan pada pengabdian ini adalah observasi, identifikasi masalah, perumusan masalah, kegiatan dan output. Kesimpulan dari yaitu pemahaman siswa TK Alit Smart Surakarta tentang protokol kesehatan meningkat dan siswa dapat mempraktekkan enam langkah cara mencuci tangan dengan benar, serta mengetahui cara menjaga imunitas seperti makan makanan bergizi, berolah raga, istirahat cukup. Siswa TK Alif Smart Surakarta juga memahami cara mengatasi kebosanan saat berada di rumah dengan melakukan kegiatan yang bermanfaat seperti membantu orang tua, berolah raga, bermain dengan anggota keluarga, memasak, dan lain-lain.
