Abstract

Pengasuhan anak usia dini berperan penting dalam pembentukan kepribadian anak. Tugas pengasuhan tersebut dapat dilaksanakan dengan baik apabila memiliki bekal pengetahuan tentang tumbuh kembang anak dan keterampilan yang memadai. Namun dalam realitasnya, belum semua orang tua/wali siswa di Bustanul Athfal Asyiyah Luwang 01 memiliki keterampilan pengasuhan yang memadai untuk menjalankan peran pengasuhan anak usia dini. Oleh karena itu pembekalan tentang pengasuhan anak (parenting) menjadi penting untuk dilakukan. Sebanyak 36 orang tua dan wali siswa terlibat dalam kegiatan parenting yang difokuskan pada komunikasi orang tua dengan anak usia dini. Bentuk kegiatan yang dilakukan berupa pelatihan komunikasi pada orang tua. Metode yang digunakan mencakup: pemaparan materi tentang tumbuh kembang anak usia dini, komunikasi orang-tua anak yang positif, dan praktek komunikasi positif. Melalui kegiatan ini, orang tua/wali menyadari perilaku yang kurang tepat dalam berkomunikasi dengan anak prasekolah, dan memeroleh pengetahuan tentang cara berkomunikasi yang tepat dengan anak prasekolah. Perubahan yang terjadi masih dalam tataran kognitif dan perlu pemantauan lebih lanjut untuk mengetahui dampaknya terhadap perilaku dalam pengasuhan anak, khususnya materi komunikasi positif. Selanjutnya orang tua/wali diharapkan terus berupaya  untuk menerapkan ketrampilan komunikasi yang telah dilatihkan  dalam  interaksinya dengan anak dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

The experience of being a child in conflict with the law affects teenagers to adapt to their environment. The purpose of this study is to understand and describe social adaptation strategies that occur in adolescents who have been conflicted with the law. The research method used is qualitative-descriptive. This study involved two teenagers who had conflicted with the law at the Class IA Kutoarjo Child Correctional Institution, aged 17 and 19 years. The results showed that one of the two informants still felt social anxiety when returning to the community. In contrast, the other informant believed adapting to their environment. The informants' social adaptation strategy consisted of three kinds, namely behavioral adaptation, tactical adaptation, and process adaptation. The strategy for social adaptation of adolescents who have conflicted with the law is to begin to involve themselves in the community by establishing adequate communication with those around them, participating in community activities, and reversing the negative stigma of others against them. Pengalaman menjadi anak yang berhadapan dengan hukum mempengaruhi remaja beradaptasi dengan lingkungannya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah maemahami dan mendeskripsikan strategi adaptasi sosial yang terjadi pada remaja yang pernah berhadapan dengan hukum. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif-deskriptif. Penelitian ini melibatkan dua orang remaja yang pernah berhadapan dengan hukum di Lembaga Permasyarakatan Khusus Anak Kelas IA Kutoarjo yang berusia 17 dan 19 tahun. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa satu informan masih merasakan kecemasan sosial ketika kembali ke masyarakat, sementara informan lainnya yakin dirinya mampu menyesuaikan diri dengan lingkungannya.  Strategi adaptasi sosial yang dilakukan oleh informan terdiri dari tiga macam, yaitu adaptasi perilaku, adaptasi siasat, dan adaptasi proses. Strategi adaptasi sosial remaja yang pernah berhadapan dengan hukum adalah mulai melibatkan diri dalam masyarakat dengan menjalin komunikasi yang baik dengan orang di sekitarnya, mengikuti kegiatan dalam masyarakat, serta berusaha memperbaiki stigma negatif orang lain terhadap dirinya.

Abstract

Objektif: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan peran edukasi literasi yang dilakukan oleh TBM Panggon Sinau kepada anak-anak.Metode: Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode kualitatif studi kasus yang datanya dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini melibatkan pengurus IMM,  pengelola TBM Panggon Sinau, pemerintah Dusun, orang tua. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis tematik. Keabsahan data dicapai dengan triangulasi.Temuan: Hasil penelitian menunjukan edukasi literasi anak dilakukan melalui penyediaan sarana prasarana serta berbagai macam kegiatan untuk meningkatkan minat baca anak, masyarakat memaknai positif kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh taman baca masyarakat bagi anak-anak mereka.Kesimpulan: Keberadaan TBM mampu membangun sikap kolektifitas masyarakat untuk sadar akan pentingnya membaca. Hambatan yang dialami TBM berkaitan dengan kurangnya peran pemerintah dalam pengembangan TBM serta minimnya pengetahuan terkait pengadministrasian taman baca.

Abstract

Mother can give sexual education for their children continuously. Through it children could get attitude and moral values beside information related to. This research aimed to fin out mother’s attitude toward children questions about sexuality. Forty mothers as research subjects were taken from purposive nonrandom sampling procedure. They are whose having pre-teenage children.Data collected through recorded procedure. They are whose having mother-children communication situation.. Research show that mother attitude correspond to children query have 5 variations (1) giving explanation (51,07%); (2) feeling surprised and confused (17,86%); (3) asking children to stop asking (2,14%); (4) postponing answers with assumption that children will find the answers by their own. (12,14%) and (5) changing conversation topics (16,43%). Based on that findings, it is concluded that mothers willingness to give explanation on children question about sexuality indicate their readiness to communicate sexuality topics. Other attitudes indicate mother’s un-readiness to respond on children’s sexuality question. Keywords     :   mothers attitude, children question, sexuality

Abstract

Adolescents who live in orphanages need to adjust to the orphanage's conditions and rules to meet their subjective well-being. The fact shows not all adolescents living in orphanages are able to achieve subjective well-being in their lives. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of gratitude training in improving the subjective well-being of adolescents in an orphanage. A quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design was used in this study. Sixteen orphanage boys with moderately subjective well-being level participated in this study. Data were analyzed using non-parametric statistical analysis Mann Whitney u test and Wilcoxon. The results show that gratitude training is effective for improving the subjective well-being of the participants. The most improvement of subjective well-being was experienced by the participants who actively communicate with caregivers and optimistically achieve goals and expectations. The implication of this research is that to achieve subjective well-being in everyday live we should develop grateful behavior.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan komitmen pernikahan pada pasangan suami istri bekerja. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif fenomenologi. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur pada 6 pasang suami istri bekerja, lama waktu pernikahan kurang dari 10 tahun, mempunyai anak berusia kurang dari 6 tahun, dan tinggal di Karesidenan Surakarta. Analisis data menggunakan analisis tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komitmen pada pasangan mulai terbentuk sebelum menikah yang dibangun melalui tahap ketertarikan pada pasangan, membuat kesepakatan untuk menikah, dan menghadapi tantangan menuju pernikahan. Setelah menikah komitmen pasangan suami istri diwujudkan melalui pembagian peran, pengambilan keputusan, ijin suami bagi istri yang bekerja, evaluasi pada istri untuk bekerja atau berhenti kerja, mengatasi dampak dari sama-sama bekerja, dan menyelesaikan masalah bersama-sama. Bentuk perilaku untuk menjaga komitmen diwujudkan dengan sikap bertanggung jawab, setia pada pasangan, saling percaya, mau bekerja sama, saling memahami dan menghargai, serta taat terhadap ajaran agama memegang peran yang penting.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the division of roles of husband and wife in Javanese family. This study uses a phenomenological qualitative method. The subjects of this study consisted of six couples of Javanese residing in Surakarta. Data was collected using a semi-structured interview technique. Data analysis method used is descriptive analysis. The results showed that: (1) the couple shared a role in three areas namely decision-making, management of family finances, and parenting; (2) the process of the implementation of these roles is flexible; (3) The husband has a greater role in decision- making while wife in financial management and parenting. Efforts have always been made to maintain the harmony of the relationship as a partner in the implementation of these roles. It can be concluded that the philosophy of harmony remain the pillars of the guidelines in the relationship of married couples in the Javanese family.

Abstract

The less quality of mother-adolescent relationship is indicated by the unwillingness of adolescent to talk about their problem to mother and the emergent of mother-adolescent conflict. This research aim to prove the effectiveness of communication skills training to increase the quality of mother-adolescent relationship. This research tests the hypothesis that communication training can improve the quality of mother and teen relationship. The quality of mother-adolescent relationship was measured using the scale of mother-child relationship. The participants were 18 mothers with Senior High School of education and that have adolescent children. The experimental design used was a pre-test post-test control group design. The result shows that communication skills training can effectively increase the quality of mother-adolescent relationship. After a mother participates in training, teenagers feel comfortable telling their problems to mothers and feel understood.

Abstract

Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap strategi coping pada ibu yang memiliki anak berkebutuhan khusus dalam menghadapi masa pandemi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif fenomenologi. Partisipan pada penelitian ini adalah dua orang ibu dengan kondisi diagnosis anak yang berbeda, yaitu Autism dan Gangguan Berbahasa Ekspresif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara semi terstruktur. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis tematik dan validasi data menggunakan member checking. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ibu ABK melakukan proses adaptasi dalam aktivitas pengasuhan yang dilakukan dengan menerapkan protocol kesehatan, serta menjaga kesehatan keluarga. Strategi coping yang digunakan adalah strategi yang berfokus pada problem dan pada emosi, serta upaya spiritual. Kombinasi strategi membantu ibu ABK dalam menghadapi tantangan sekaligus mencegah dampak buruk yang muncul akibat pandemi.Kata Kunci : Strategi coping, pengasuhan ibu, anak berkebutuhan khusus, pandemi

Abstract

Nowadays, organizations have had concerned about term work-family balance. It is related to employee welfare and performance at work. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the work system changed rapidly. There has been a radical change from working in the office to working from home. Based on research results, the pandemic causes problems in work-family balance. Even though achieving balance in work and family matters is essential to maintain mental health during this pandemic. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct online socialization and education regarding ways to achieve work-family balance during this pandemic. This community service activity aims to increase participants' knowledge about ways to achieve a balance of family work. The action was carried out in a webinar with a material presentation by the resource persons and discussion. The target of this activity is the general public. Data was collected through questionnaires and question-and-answer sessions. Based on the data, it was found that webinar participants gained additional knowledge about managing tasks in the workplace and family. This knowledge can be applied by individuals who have worked and become the provision of not yet married participants.
