Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui komposisi jenis dan struktur komunitas vegetasi mangrove berdasarkan jenis substrat dan mengetahui keterkaitan antara kerapatan mangrove dengan tekstur substrat di Desa Tompotana Pulau Tanakeke Kabupaten Takalar. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli sampai Agustus 2022 di Desa Tompotana Pulau Tanakeke Kabupaten Takalar. Metode penelitian secara purposive random sampling yang dibagi menjadi 3 stasiun yaitu stasiun 1 dekat lokasi tambak, stasiun 2 dekat pemukiman, dan stasiun 3 dekat dermaga dan pemukiman. Pada masing-masing stasiun ditentukan 3 transek/plot dimana pada transek 1, transek 2, dan transek 3 dimulai dari arah pantai laut menuju daratan dan tegak lurus garis pantai dengan jarak masing-masing transek 35 meter. Hasil penelitian menemukan 3 spesies mangrove di Desa Tompotana Pulau Tanakeke Kabupaten Takalar berdasarkan jenis substrat yaitu spesies Rhizophora stylosa, Avicennia alba, dan Sonneratia alba. Frekuensi Relatif (RFi) ditemukan pada semua spesies sama yaitu sebesar 33.33, penutupan relative (RCi) tertinggi adalah spesies R. stylosa yaitu sebesar 39.25 dan Penutupan Relatif (RCi) terendah adalah spesies mangrove S. alba yaitu sebesar 26.15. Sedangkan Nilai Penting (INP) tertinggi adalah spesies mangrove R. stylosa yaitu sebesar 148,66% dan Nilai Penting (INP) terendah adalah spesies mangrove S. alba yaitu sebesar 70,59%. Kerapatan relative (RDi) tertinggi ditemukan pada spesies mangrove R. stylosa yaitu sebesar 74.07% dengan jenis substrat liat kemudian spesies A. alba 14.81% dan S. alba 11.11% dengan jenis substrat liat berdebu

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the level of profit for milkfish cultivators who used different feeds, namely cultivators who used feeds of (1) expired noodles or bread; (2) commercial feed; and (3) mixed feed between expired noodles or bread + commercial feed. The data obtained in this study were analyzed using variance (ANOVA) analysis to see the effect of different feeding on the profits of milkfish cultivators in the Simaranang fish cultivator group (Pokdakan), then continued with the W-Tuckey test to see the difference in profits between each cultivator. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that the highest annual cultivation profit was obtained by cultivators who used a mixture of commercial feed and expired noodle/bread feed (Rp. 16,681,750/year) followed by cultivators who used commercial feed (Rp 9,123,000/year) and the profit. The lowest was experienced by cultivators who only used expired noodles/bread (Rp. 7,875,000/year).

Abstract

Fishery is one of the human activities to utilize aquatic resources in fresh, brackish and marine waters. Fishery business consists of components that are interrelated with one another, namely capture fisheries and aquaculture and supported by marketing and processing of fishery products. One of the fishing gear used by fishermen around the coast is a hand line. The purpose of this study was to find out which light are effective in the operation of hand line fishing gear in Takalar waters. The data collection technique was done by using the trial method (Expermental fishing), by conduction trials using two different lamps, namely LED lights (light emitting diode) and petromax lamps. This research was conducted in Takalar Waters in July-August 2020. The results showed that the size structure of the squid and cuttlefish caught on the LED lights ranged from 6- 27.5 cm, totaling 310 tail, weighing 41.15 kg (69.51%), whilw the size structure of the squid caught in the petromax lamp ranges 9,5-27,6 cm totaling 136 tail, weighing 17.91 kg (30.49%), significantly different from the result of t-student.

Abstract

One of the fishery commodities included in the leading fishery commodity is the sea cucumber (Holothuroidea sp.). Sea cucumber is a target for anglers' catches because it has high economic value and can be easily marketed, not only on a local scale but also for export. The increased demand for sea cucumber exports can threaten the sustainability of sea cucumber resources in nature. This is due to the effect of fulfilling market demand directly related to fishing efforts by fishers. Responding to these problems, the purpose of this study was to analyze the fishing season and the supply chain of sea cucumbers on Sapuka Island, Pangkep Regency, South Sulawesi Province. The research methods used are the survey, observation, and Participatory Rural Approach (PRA). There were 20 PRA participants, including 10 sea cucumber fishers, 2 village government officials, 3 community members, 2 community groups (POKMAS), and 3 sea cucumber collectors. The data that has been collected is then analyzed using MDS using the Rapfish approach. The results showed that the sea cucumber fishing season on Sapuka Island was throughout the year January-December, with the highest fishing season in January-April. There are 5 models/patterns in the sea cucumber supply chain on Sapuka Island, namely the sea cucumber flow; 1) Sapuka Island fishermen-exporters in Makassar, 2) fishermen-collectors in Makassar-exporters in Makassar, 3) fishermen-collectors in Galesong-Exporters in Makassar, 4) fishermen-Sapuka Island collectors-Exporters in Makassar, 5) fishermen-collectors of Sapuka-collectors of Galesong-Exporters in Makassar.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine fishermen's income using hand line fishing gear in Banawa Village using primary data for 50 respondents representing the entire population of the Fisherman Community in Banawa Village. Data collection was carried out using interviews and documentation methods. The analytical method used is descriptive quantitative. The collected data is processed and presented in tabular form. The study results show that the fishing community in Kampung Banawa still needs a higher understanding of knowledge and technology. This has not reduced the enthusiasm of fishermen in Kampung Banawa to go to sea actively, even though the price of fish in the market could be better. There are differences between hand-line fishermen based on the boat used. Hand line fishermen with rowing boats earn Rp.70,000/week, hand line fishermen using ketinting engine boats Rp.120,000/week, and hand line fishermen using 15PK outboard motors make Rp.200,000/week. Institutions supporting fishermen's income include Fishery Cooperatives, Banking (BNI), and fish markets.

Abstract

The research aims to determine the role of local community institutions in the management of capture fisheries resources in the coastal area of Maros Regency. The research strategy was a case study on fishing communities in the coastal area of Maros Regency from July 2022 to December 2022. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document studies. The results showed that; the role of local community institutions in the management of capture fisheries resources, traditional local institutions (punggawa-sawi and nakasa') play a role as resource utilizers and conservationists, while local institutions are formed/modern (Pokmaswas) play a role in (1) conducting supervisory activities in resource utilization and conservation, (2) facilitating and assisting fishing communities in resource management, (3) coordinating resource management, and (4) reporting community activities that have the potential to damage the sustainability of capture fisheries resources.

Abstract

Usaha budidaya Udang Windu (Penaeus monodon) di daerah Maros mengalami berbagai permasalahan, diantaranya sistem budidaya masih tradisional, pelaku utama kebanyakan tidak melakukan seleksi benur dengan baik, dan pelaku utama belum menguasai cara-cara budidaya yang baik. Keberhasilan pembangunan pada bidang perikanan terkendala permasalahan tersebut, juga diduga dipengaruhi oleh kinerja penyuluh perikanan yang belum optimal. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kinerja penyuluh perikanan; dan menganalisis pengaruh informasi pasar, teknologi dan permodalan masing-masing terhadap pengembangan usaha budidaya udang windu (P. monodon) di Kabupaten Maros. Hasil penelitian kinerja penyuluh perikanan menunjukkan bahwa rata rata pendapat penyuluh perikanan dan pelaku utama terhadap kinerja penyuluh perikanan tinggi, informasi pasar 3,5 (sedang), teknologi 4,3 (tinggi) dan permodalan 3,5 (sedang). Menurut pendapat penyuluh dan pelaku utama keberhasilan pelaku utama rata rata 3,5 (sedang). Pengaruh informasi pasar, teknologi dan permodalan masing masing berpengaruh terhadap pengembangan usaha budidaya Udang Windu (P. monodon) dilihat nilai t hitung lebih besar dari t tabel, t hitung informasi pasar 7,638, teknologi 3,506 dan permodalan 5,597 sedangkan t tabel 1,659.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana perilaku petani udang vanname terhadap kemunculan penyakit. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Sampel pada penelitian sebanyak 21 pelaku budidaya di Desa Kasano, Kecamatan Baras, Kabupaten Pasangkayu. Metode pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dan kuesioner, selanjutnya teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif. Deskriptif yaitu metode untuk mengetahui dan memberikan gambaran mengenai data primer yang telah dikumpulkan. Hasil dari penelitian ini, memprlihatkan bahwa secara keseluruhan udang vanname yang dipelihara oleh petani pembudidaya di Desa Kasano, Kecamatan Baras, Kabupaten Pasangkayu mengalami kematian dini yang belum diketahui penyakitnya. Udang vanname yang dipelihara oleh petani pembudidaya dengan menerapkan pencegahan penyakit menggunakan antibiotik mengalami penyakit berak putih  (white feces disease). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa perilaku petani dalam pencegahan penyakit berpengaruh terhadap kemunculan penyakit.

Abstract

Konsumsi garam yang terus meningkat tidak sejalan dengan pertambahan luas lahan tambak garam yang ada. Usaha tambak garam ini dilakukan mulai dari usaha kecil, menengah hingga berskala besar tetapi kebutuhan garam nasional masih belumterpenuhi. Luas lokasi usaha  tambak garam sangat menentukan jumlah produksi garam yang didukung dengan faktor lingkungan yang seimbang. Luas lahan tambak garam dari tahun ke tahun terjadi perubahan yang dinamis dan perubahan ini adalah suatu perubahan yang mengarah pada luas sebaran lahan tambak garam oleh karena itu diperlukan suatu analisis tentang perubahan luas lokasi tambak garam tersebut dan metode untuk mengetahui luas tambak garam adalah dengan menggunakan citra satelit Sentinel 2A dimana metode ini dapat diketahui perubahan luas lahan tambak garam (Jaya, 2010). Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui potensi dan membandingkan luas tambak garam di Wilayah Pesisir Kabupaten Jeneponto Sulawesi Selatan. Metode penelitian menggunakan citra satelit Sentinel 2A yang dianalisis berdasarkan survey pengambilan koordinat. Hasil Analisis menunjukkan bahwa pesisir pesisir yang ada di Kabupaten Jeneponto yang memiliki luas potensi tambak garam yaitu Kecamatan Bangkala 434,16 Ha, Kecamatan Arungkeke 256,59 Ha, Kecamatan Tamalatea 104,72 Ha, dan Kecamatan Bangkala Barat 31,83 Ha.
