Abstract

Introductions : Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) is one of the impacts caused by the use of IUDs, namely IUDs. The cause of UTI itself is dominated by the presence of microorganisms that infect the urinary tract. Pseudomonas is one of the bacteria that causes the third largest UTI after E. Coli and Enterococcus. Pseudomonas is capable of infecting the urinary tract when it is inserted, besides that the bacteria can also enter due to improper cleaning techniques. Mulberry leaves are believed to have antibacterial properties such as flavonids, tannins, alkaloids and terpenoids, which can inhibit the growth of bacteria. Methods : The method used in this study uses laboratory experimental methods, by measuring the cause and effect of the independent variable on the dependent variable. Using a post-test only control group design approach. Result : The results showed that there was an inhibition zone formed at the smallest concentration of 60% with the medium category of 8,4 mm and the widest inhibition zone was found at a concentration of 100% with the strong category of 12, 6 mm. The results of the analysis test using One Way Anova proved that there was a significant effect of giving mulberry leaf extract on the inhibition of Pseudomonas with a P value of 0.000. Pos Hoc’s test results showed the most influential concentration in each treatment, namely 100%. Conclusions : From the research results, it was found that concentrations of 100% were the most effective concentrations in inhibiting the growth of Pseudomonas bacteria.

Abstract

Antenatal care (ANC) encompasses a range of activities that take place from conception to the onset of labor, aiming to ensure comprehensive, quality care for all pregnant women. ANC services help prepare pregnant women for pregnancy, childbirth, and maintain an environment that protects babies from infection. Doctors and midwives are trained to provide high-quality ANC, screen, diagnose, treat and refer cases, thereby contributing to efforts to reduce maternal and newborn mortality. In 2016, WHO issued recommendations for antenatal care to provide a positive pregnancy experience and reduce maternal and child mortality and morbidity. One of the WHO recommendations is that ANC for a healthy pregnancy should be done at least 8 times, but after adjusting these guidelines to local conditions, it was agreed in Indonesia that ANC should be done at least 6 times, with a minimum of two visits to the doctor for screening of pregnancy risk factors or complications in the first trimester and one visit in the third trimester for screening of labor risk factors. Among the 30 pregnant women who underwent examination, 3 respondents had above-average blood pressure, thus requiring further observation to prevent further complications, such as preeclampsia.ABSTRAKPelayanan antenatal (ANC) mencakup berbagai kegiatan yang dilakukan sejak pembuahan hingga awal persalinan, yang bertujuan untuk memastikan pelayanan yang komprehensif dan berkualitas bagi semua ibu hamil.

Abstract

Swelling of the legs pregnancy women in the second and third trimesters occurs due to an increase in blood volume and uterinne pressure that obstruct venous return, The prevelance in East Java reached 31,9% (Health Office, 2018). Non-pharmacological management is considered safer, including prenatal yoga to improve circulation and Crinum asiaticum L. Leaf extract lotion with anti-inflammatory properties. This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of combining prenatal yoga and Crinum asiaticum L. extract in legs edema pregnant women in the second and third trimesters. The methods used a quasi-experimental one group pretest-posttest design. A total of 25 pregnant women with physiological edema were selected by purposive sampling at RSU Prima Husada Sidoarjo. The intervention consisted of prenatal yoga once a week for four weeks and topical application of Crinum asiaticum L. leaf extract lotion twice and after the intervention. The result of the study showed that 18 respondens (72%) experienced grade I leg edema. The mean reduction was 0.88 and the median reduction was 1.00. The Wilcoxon signed statistical test, the p value is 0.000 (<0,05), so it can be concluded that H0 rejected and HI was accepted. In Conclusion, prenatal yoga combinated with Crinum asiaticum L. Lotion is effective in swelling legs edema during pregnancy and can serve as a safe, non-pharmacological alternative to enhance maternal comfort.
