Abstract

Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan pendekatan pembelajaran Realistics Mathematics Education (RME) terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa dan untuk mengetahui pembelajaran yang lebih efektif antara pembelajaran RME dengan pembelajaran konvensional terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa. Merupakan penelitian Quasi Experiment yang desain penelitiannya Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasinya ialah kelas VII SMPN 3 Sungguminasa, sampel kelas kontrolnya ialah kelas VII.E dan sampel kelas eksperimennya ialah kelas VII.F yang jumlah siswanya masing-masing 32 orang. Teknik analisis datanya berupa analisis statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasilnya mengungkapkan ada perbedaan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa dengan pembelajaran RME dan bukan, serta pembelajaran RME lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa.

Abstract

This article aims at finding out (1) the differences in the mathematics learning outcomes of the students who follow NHT type cooperative learning with the students who follow direct learning, (2) the influence of interaction between the learning model used and the students’ learning interests, (3) the difference in the mathematics learning outcomes between the students who follow NHT type cooperative learning and the students who follow direct learning reviewed from high learning interests, (4) differences in students’ mathematics learning outcomes between the students who follow NHT type cooperative learning and the students who follow direct learning reviewed from low learning interests. This the type of pseudo-experimental research. The instruments used are test of learning outcomes, questionnaires of students' learning interests, and observation of the Lesson Plan implementation. The analytical techniques used are descriptive analysis techniques and inferential statistical analysis with ANOVA tests, and Tukey advanced tests. Based on the results of the ANOVA test and Tukey advanced test obtained that there are significant differences in the mathematics learning outcomes between using a cooperative learning model NHT type and the direct learning model in the students who have a high interest in learning. Based on the data analysis, it is obtained the significant value of < α (0.010 < 0.05) then H0 is rejected. Therefore, it is concluded that there are significant differences in mathematics learning outcomes between using NHT-type cooperative learning model and the direct learning model in the students who have a low interest in learning.

Abstract

Mathematics learning in the 2013 curriculum emphasizes the pedagogic dimension which aims to create active students so that they are able to develop their mindset and accustom them to finding solutions to their own problems. This research aims to develop test instrumen to measure computational thinking on number and sequence pattern material in SMP Negeri 2 Sungguminasa that meets valid and practical criteria. The purpose of this study was to determine the process of developing test instrumen to measure computational thinking on number and sequence pattern material in SMP Negeri 2 Sungguminasa. This research is a type of Research and Development (R&D) that focused on development model of B&G (Borg & Gall) which contains 4 stages: the information gathering stage, the planning stage, the development stage, validation and trial stage. The subjects of the trial were students of class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Sungguminasa. The instruments used in this study were the validation sheet and the teacher response questionnaire. Based on the Results of the study, it was found that (1) the validation results for test instrumen to measure computational thinking were 4,46 so that they only uses a teacher response questionnaire for all aspects in the very positive category with a percentage of 90,6%. So it can be concluded that test instrumen to measure computational thinking on number and sequence pattern material in SMP Negeri 2 Sungguminasa meet the validity and practicality criteria.

Abstract

The type of research used is Research and Development with reference to the Plomp development model which consists of several phases, namely the preliminary investigation phase, the design phase, the realization phase and the test, evaluation and evaluation phase.  revision (Test, Evaluation and Revision).  The product developed in the form of teaching materials, namely problem solving based modules on social arithmetic material, the test subjects in this study were class VIIB students of SMPN 19 Bulukumba with 30 students.  The instruments used in this study were expert validation sheets, student activity observation sheets, teacher ability observation sheets in managing learning, student response questionnaires, teacher response questionnaires, and learning outcomes tests.  Based on the results of the limited trials carried out, it was found that (1) the results of the validation of teaching materials were 4.4 in the "Sangan Valid" category because they were in the interval 4.3 M 5, (2) practical because the average percentage for student responses was  89.2% and the average percentage for teacher responses was 92.5%, each in the “Very Positive” category.  (3) effective so that it can meet three criteria, namely the average ability of teachers in managing learning is 4.67 in the "Very Good" category, the average percentage of student activity is 73.2% in the "good" category and the percentage of completeness  student learning is in the "high" category and achieve classical completeness, namely 83.3% of students classically complete.  So it can be concluded that in the limited trials carried out, problem solving based modules on social arithmetic material in class VII SMPN 19 Bulukumba have met the criteria of validity, practicality and effectiveness.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of self regulation, self esteem and self concept. These independent variables are factors within students who have an important role in the learning process. So that the factors in these students become the core in this research study. This type of research is ex post facto involving grade VIII students of SMPN 5 Makassar with a total sample of 168 students. Data collection techniques used questionnaire instruments of self regulation, self esteem and self concept and documentation data in the form of student achievement scores that had passed the validation process. Furthermore, the collected data were analyzed by using multiple linear regression after passing the prerequisite test process. The conclusion of this study shows that self-regulation, self-esteem and self-concept together have an effect on the learning achievement of class VIII students of SMAN 5 Makassar with a large influence of 90.2% and the remaining 9.8% is influenced by other factors. This shows that the factors from within these students have an important role in the success of students in the learning process.

Abstract

 Target untuk penelitian ini ialah untuk mengidentifikasi kesalahan yang dilakukan mahasiswa PGMI UINAM dalam mengerjakan soal matematika materi geometri yang dilihat dari aspek pemahaman konsepnya yang biasanya disebut miskonsepsi. Penelitian ini termasuk deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ialah 44 mahasiswa PGMI yang dipilih melalui cluster random sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan instrument tes yang kemudian dianalisis menggunakan rubrik analitik. Hasil yang diperoleh dari rangkaian penelitian teridentifikasi bahwa kesalahan terbanyak yang dilakukan mahasiswa PGMI UINAM ialah pengaplikasian rumus yakni 79,8%, kemudian kesalahan saat menghitung yakni 43,2%, kesalahan pada data yang digunakan yakni 40,9%, kesalahan mengartikan soal 38,6%, dan paling sedikit ialah kesalahan membuat putusan yakni 20,4%.Target for this research is to identify mistakes made by PGMI UINAM students in working on math problems seen from the aspect of understanding the concept which is usually called a misconception. This research includes qualitative descriptive. The research subjects were 44 PGMI students who were selected through cluster random sampling. Data were collected using a test instrument which was then alalyzed using an analytical rubric. The results obtained from a series of studies identified the the most mistakes by PGMI UINAM students were the application of foemulas, which was 79,8%, then errors when calculating, namely 43,2%. Errors in the data used were 40,9%, errors in interpreting questions 38,6%, and the least is the error in making a decision that is 20,4%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the quality of the mathematics learning media in the circle material at SDN 110 Borongloe which meets the valid, practical, and effective criteria. Media development refers to the stages of the ADDIE model. The research subjects were students of class VI SDN 110 Borongloe. The instruments used in the study included: validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, teacher observations managing learning, student activity observations, and learning outcomes tests. The data were analyzed quantitatively by looking for the average value of the validity, practicality, and effectiveness levels. Based on the results of the study, the validation results obtained are 4.48 with a very valid category. The results of the practicality of the teacher response questionnaire are 76.6% and the student response questionnaire is 90.9%. The results of the effectiveness of the study were measured using the student activity observation sheet with the acquisition of 91.1% in the very good category, the observation sheet on the teacher's ability to manage to learn with the acquisition of 4.67 in the very good category, and the student learning outcomes test with the acquisition of learning completeness of 93%. Thus the M-Learning learning media meets product quality assessment standards.

Abstract

Aljabar merupakan salah satu tema bahasan dalam pembelajaran matematika, memahami penyelesaian soal-soal aljabar begitu penting untuk memasuki bahasan yang lain seperti geometri, namun masih banyak ditemukan kesalahan-kesalahan dalam peneyelesaian soal aljabar tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi kategori kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa ketika menyelesaikan masalah aljabar, memanfaatkan kriteria Watson dan menyelidiki elemen penyebab yang mendasarinya. Penelitian menggunakan desain deskriptif dari metode kualitatif. Partisipan penelitian sampel sebanyak 28 siswa. Metodologi pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi tes diagnostik, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan diantaranya kesalahan-kesalahan yang mencakup penggunaan data yang salah, penerapan prosedur yang salah, penghilangan data penting, tidak adanya pernyataan konklusif, konflik dalam tingkat respons, manipulasi tidak langsung, kesulitan terkait hierarki, serta kategori kesalahan lain di luar tujuh klasifikasi yang disebutkan di atas. Penyebab kesalahan dalam konteks ini mencakup beberapa variabel kognitif, seperti keterbatasan atau bias mental, serta ketidakakuratan dalam proses perhitungan. Selain itu, kesalahan mungkin timbul karena ketidakakuratan pembacaan atau lupa rumus yang digunakan dalam perhitungan. Implikasi dari temuan ini menunjukkan perlunya langkah-langkah konkret untuk mengatasi kesalahan yang dihadapi siswa dalam aljabar. Kegagalan dalam mengatasi kesalahan-kesalahan ini dapat mengakibatkan siswa terus melakukan kesalahan tidak hanya dalam aljabar tetapi juga pada topik-topik berikutnya.
