Abstract

This research was conducted to develop a learning model by using the ADDIE model. The problem-Based STAD learning model was designed by Analysis, Design, Development or Production, Implementation or Delivery, and Evaluations. This research was done in the English Language Education Study Program of the University of Pahlawan Tuanku Tambusai in Writing II. Based on the result of data analysis, it can be concluded that 1) The Problem-based STAD Type Learning Model has been produced through the ADDIE development model. 2) Problem-based STAD Type Learning Model that has met the criteria of validity. 3) The model is valid with the characteristics of the suitability of the research model development with the ADDIE procedure. English teachers can use this model to improve students’ skills in writing and motivate the students in writing English text.

Abstract

Pada saat masa Covid-  19 ini guru- guru diharapkan belajar dengan menggunakan aplikasi yaitu online dengan menggunakan aplikasi zoom untuk memudahkan bagi siswa- siswi yang belajar dirumah dan mudah pula didampingi oleh orang tua mereka masing- masing.  Dalam keterbatasan bagi guru untuk memberikan pembelajaran melalui Online atau daring sangat sulit dikarenakan sehingga kurang maksimal dalam mencapai hasil yang ingin dicapai. Guru diarah dengan menggunakan aplika zoom agar siswa- siswi tidak ketinggalan dalam pembelajarannya di Masa Covid- 19 ini di Sekolah Dasar Pahlawan Desa Ridan Permai Bangkinang.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the cognitive abilities of children in counting activities in kindergarten Taqifa Bangkinang. This research is a classroom action research (PTK) which is scheduled to take place in two cycles. The first cycle executed 2 times face to face. Each cycle contains the main points of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The data in this study is data collected by observation and documentation. As for travel writers in analyzing the data in this study is to use the technique of quantitative descriptive analysis of data obtained and presented with what then the data is analyzed using numbers. To determine the percentage results the authors using the following formula (Anas Sudijono, 2004):.  After analyzing the results of the initial test, which has been known that a child's cognitive ability is low ie with a percentage of 46% as attached in the appendix. So to improve the cognitive abilities of children, use of learning Media playing card numbers. The conclusion from this study that the cognitive abilities of children in counting activities increased with the media playing the card number of children aged 4-5 years in kindergarten Taqifa Bangkinang, more details as follows: a child's cognitive ability prior to action by the percentage of 46% with a low category, then the cycle I get a percentage of 58% is also considered to be still not optimally with adequate or medium category and the second cycle gets a percentage of 87% with a very high category and considered to be the maximum.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan motorik halus anak melalui kegiatan mencetak menggunakan media pelepah pisang pada anak kelompok B TK Darul Yaqin. Jenis penelitian ini terdiri dari dua siklus san setiap siklusnya dilaksanakan dua kali pertemuan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 12 orang diantaranya 5 orang anak laki-laki dan 7 orang anak perempuan. Objek penelitian adalah kemampuan motorik halus anak dalam kegiatan mencetak menggunakan pelepah pisang. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan dokumentasi. Instrument yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil Observasi pada pra tindakan menunjukkan bahwa anak yang berkriteria berkembang sesuai harapan pada pra tindakan ada 2 orang atau 16 %, pada siklus I ada 4 orang atau 3,33% dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 8 orang atau 66,67 %. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa melalui kegiatan mencetak menggunakan media pelepah pisang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan motorik halus, pada anak kelompok B TK Darl Yaqin Desa koto Ranah Kata Kunci : Kemampuan Motorik Halus, Mencetak Dengan Media Pelepah Pisang

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal huruf melalui kegiatan bermain puzzle abc Kelompok B di RA Habiby Desa Kusau Makmur Kecamatan Tapung Hulu Kabupaten Kampar, dalam kenyatan yang peneliti lihat bahwa kemampuan mengenal huruf anak masih rendah. Hal ini disebabkan karena guru mengajarkan mengenal huruf kepada anak dengan menuliskan huruf satu persatu di papan tulis dengan media dan alat permainan seadanya sehingga membuat anak menjadi bosan dan kurang berminat dalam mengenal huruf. Salah satu upaya yang diperkirakan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal huruf ini anak dalam pembelajaran anak usia dini adalah dengan menggunakan metode bermain, bernyanyi dan puzzle dalam pembelajaran. Rumusan masalah penelitian ini adalah bagaimana meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal huruf dengan metode kombinasi bernyanyi dan puzzle huruf abc di Kelompok B di RA Habiby Desa Kusau Makmur. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh rata-rata persentase kemampuan mengenal huruf dalam puzzle abc anak dalam proses pembelajaran anak kategori mampu sebelum tindakan adalah 25%, pada siklus I rata- ratanya 50% sedangkan pada siklus II rata- ratanya 90%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan mengenal huruf pada kegiatan bermain puzzle abc anak mengalami peningkatan dari sebelum dilakukan tindakan sampai dilakukan siklus II. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan dengan metode kombinasi bermain dan puzzle abc dalam pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal huruf pada siswa.

Abstract

Education is one of the most important things to prepare for future success in the era of globalization. Education can be achieved in various ways one of which schooling. According Suharsimi Arikunto (1997: 4) states that the education process there are five factors that affect the: (1) teachers and other personnel, (2) material, (3) methods of teaching and evaluation system, (4) a means of supporting and ( 5) administration system. The fifth factor in the school environment. Motivation is a condition which is owned by each student to bertingah behavior. According W.S. Winkel (1983: 29) students were already seated at SMA / SMK should be more influenced by intrinsic motivation, because the student already has awareness of the importance of learning for the future. But in reality there are still many students who have not been influenced by the intrinsic motivation. Based on these things, so that teachers have an important role to develop the intrinsic motivation. The motivation of every student was different, especially in terms of learning motivation is often called the motivation to learn.

Abstract

This research tried to find and implement actual actions to improve the quality of reading learning process for the first year students of SMAN I Kuok. The research involved the school principal, the English teacher, the researcher, and the students of SMAN I Kuok; especially the students of class X-2 of SMAN I Kuok in the academic year of 2010/2011. They consisted of 31 students, 9 males and 22 females. The students were happy and enjoyed reading using this technique. They liked to have discussions with their friends. By having discussions, the students were able to have better understanding on reading texts than before. Their cooperation was also getting better. It implies that the English teacher can use the jigsaw technique in the teaching and learning process of reading. The students should use this technique more often in order to get better understanding to comprehend the text and better cooperation with their mates.

Abstract

This research is aimed at figuring out the students’ difficulties in learning English. Besides, it is also expected that the learning process become more meaningful. Subjects of the research are the enrolled odd semester students in academic year 2017/2018. The data collection method employed documentation, test, observation, and interview. Documentation was used to get the students’ data as the subject of the research, the test was used to get the data on the students’ achievement in learning English, the observation was used to get the objective condition in English learning processes and to expose the factors contribute to the learning process. The interview was used to explore the students’ difficulties in learning English. The students’ difficulties in learning English focused on the ability to speak and to listen. Mastering listening is the most difficult skills to be acquired by the students, it was found that the students’ average score is 58.33 or 84% students cannot answer the question properly. The second problem is mastering speaking skills, it was found that the students’ average score is 61.25 or 50% students cannot answer the question properly. The factors contribute to the students’ difficulties were: (1) the less of English practice;(2) the students were not actively participate in the learning process; (3) the students were passive;(4) The students did not take a note on the students’ explanation; (5) the students were not active in responding the teachers’ question and shares the opinion.

Abstract

The research was conducted because of students face difficult to remember Simple Past Tense formula. The experimental research was conducted at the tenth grade at SMAN 01 Bangkinang kota. This research aims to know the effect of song towards Students’ Matery on Simple Past. The research methodology uses a Quasi-experimental design. The sample of this research was class X MIPA 4 as the experimental class and X IPS 2 as the control class. The experimental class consisted of 33 students and the control class consisted of 36 students. This research uses cluster random sampling which selects classes randomly from MIPA and IPS Class. The instrument used in this research was a test. Data analysis used SPSS 25 test of Hypotesis. Based on the results of the study, the average score of students in the experimental class was 71.97 and 55.69 in the control class. Data analysis showed a significance of 0.000 > 0.05, it means that Ha is accepted. The key is that there is an effect of Song towards Students’ Mastery on Simple Past Tense.

Abstract

This study describes and concluded that the existence of teaching reading narrative texts for high school students using varied techniques have touched the substantive area. 3-2-1 techniques are cooperative learning techniques have been reconstructing the individual instruction that has been applied in schools. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of learning techniques and reading motivation of students to learn English results. This research used experimental method with 2x2 factorial design and conducted in SMAN 1 Bangkinang Opposite, Riau with a sample of 2 classes. Results of the analysis of the data reveals that: (a) students who are taught by the 3-2-1 technique showed better results than students taught using conventional techniques, (b) students who have high motivation techniques taught by 3-2- 1 shows the results of the study as well as students who are taught by using conventional techniques, (c) students who have low motivation taught using 3-2-1 techniques showed better learning outcomes than students taught using techniques conventional, and (d) there is interaction between the use of techniques learned by the students' reading motivation. However, the results of different values between the experimental group with the control group to measure achievement in this study that the 3-2-1 technique has a better effect than with conventional techniques. On the other hand, students 'reading motivation affect students' reading results.
