Abstract

The main competence of 21st century technical and vocational education and training (TVET) teachers is the ability to integrate technology into the learning process effectively. However, the concept of learning is now shifting to technological involvement, learning approaches, and needs in accordance with the curriculum of the world of work must be integrated to produce learning outcomes that are able to compete in obtaining work opportunities. The technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK) model used in general learning needs to be assessed according to the context of innovation in the TVET learning field. The purpose of this study is to analyze the teaching and learning of TVET teachers who are professionals with the approach of Technology, Andragogy and Work towards Content Knowledge (CK). Study of qualitative methods in the form of document analysis is identified by the philosophy of the learning approach at TVET and the current TVET learning model. The analysis results recommend that the technology andragogy work content knowledge (TAWOCK) model is considered important to be developed in TVET learning. Characteristics of these findings include the involvement of learning using technology, increasing the level of learning for andragogy, adjusting work competence, and curriculum content developed on the concept of knowledge. Finally TPACK has been modified to TAWOCK to study in the TVET field.

Abstract

Virtual Laboratory are frequently measured effective learning tools, meanwhile their visual and concept power empower students to better known physical structures and phenomena. However, in previous research has not been much developed Virtual Physics Laboratory that is used to measure the character education of students. This research aims to Influences and apply Virtual Physics Laboratory (VPL) for assessment millennial character education with System Recording Students Character (SRSC). The study focused on the VPL Conceptual Change of Character Education test results. The sample consisted of 60 students’ whose age ranging from 20 to 21 years old with research design Randomized post-test only experiment group. Data to draw conclusions of research results, collected through the provision of concept tests. Conceptual Change data of Character Education that will be obtained from both groups are searched for the average Gain. Specific targets to be achieved in this research are innovations in the development of assessment tools that are valid and easy to use and can be done with Virtual Physics Laboratory for assessment millennial character education with System Recording Students Character can be done anytime and not limited by time. The result of the research showed that the N-gain mastery of the experimental group concept was 0,33 (32,6%) The conclusions of VPL with SRSC research can be used in the evaluation of physics learning because of the quality of the material according to expert judgment in the category of "excellent" and effective in facilitating assessment to character education of students.

Abstract

Keterbatasan sarana praktik pemesinan CNC (Computer Numerical Control) di SMK khususnya Kota Serang menjadi kendala siswa dalam meningkatkan kompetensi. Maka, dibutuhkan suatu alternatif solusi berupa penggunaan software swansoft simulator pada kompetensi pemesinan CNC. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui perbedaan keaktifan belajar praktik pemesinan CNC melalui software swansoft simulator. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu. Sampel sebanyak 16 siswa dari tiap kelas di SMK Pertanian dan SMK PGRI 1 pada kompetensi keahlian teknik pemesinan. Pengambilan data berupa angket. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara statistik deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan keaktifan siswa terjadi perbedaan diantara kedua kelas dengan menggunakan uji t diperoleh T hitung = 0,34 < T tabel = 2,04 pada taraf signifikasi 0,05. Sehingga, keaktifan belajar siswa pada pemesinan CNC menggunakan software swansoft simulator dapat meningkatkan keterampilan belajar siswa SMK Pertanian dan SMK PGRI 1 Kota Serang. ABSTRACTThe limitation of tools from CNC machining practices in Vocational High School especially Serang City becomes an obstacle for students in improving their competency. Then, an alternative solution is needed in the form of using swansoft simulator software on CNC machining competencies. The purpose of this study was to determine differences in the activity of learning CNC machining practices through swansoft simulator software. This type of research used is quasi-experimental. A sample of 16 students from each class at SMK Agriculture and SMK PGRI 1 in machining technical expertise competencies. Retrieval of data used questionnaires. The data obtained were analyzed by quantitative descriptive statistics. The results showed that students' activeness was different between the two classes using the t-test obtained T count = 0.34 <T table = 2.04 at the 0.05 significance level. Thus, the activeness of student learning in CNC machining practices using swansoft simulator software can improve student learning skills at SMK Agriculture and SMK PGRI 1 in Serang City.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui seberapa besar minat masuk perguruan tinggi bagi siswa kelas XII program keahlian Teknik Mesin dan Teknik Otomotif di SMK Serang masuk tahun 2016. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian diambil dengan teknik Proportional Random Sampling sejumlah 165 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket  (kuesioner). Uji validitas instrument dilakukan dengan construct validity melalui experts judgment dengan metode factor analysis. Uji reliabititas menggunakan Alpha. Besarnya minat diuji dengan statistic regresi ganda dengan bantuan SPSS versi 21. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahawa minat masuk perguruan tinggi di Serang dengan rerata persentase 71.76%. Minat tersebut dipengaruhi oleh faktor dalam diri sendiri, faktor lingkungan keluarga, dan faktor lingkungan sekolah dengan koefisien regresi masing-masing sebesar 0.199; 0.190; dan 0.090. Faktor diri sendiri dan lingkungan keluarga secara bersama-sama mempengaruhi minat masuk perguruan tinggi sebesar 37,6%. Kata kunci: Minat, Perguruan Tinggi, Diri Sendiri, Sekolah, dan Keluarga

Abstract

TRAINING ON OPERATION OF CNC MACHINES BASED ON SWANSOFT SIMULATOR TO MACHINING TECHNIQUE STUDENTS IN SERANG CITY. The CNC machine operation is a potential part that students must master. The limited availability of CNC machines and learning that only prioritizes theory are issues that need to be anticipated. Efforts are being made to provide training in the operation of CNC machines assisted by swansoft simulator software to students. The purpose of this training is to provide stimulation and find out students' responses from CNC machine training assisted by swansoft simulator software. This training activity was attended by 51 students from SMK Agriculture and SMK PGRI 1 in Serang City on machining technique with a simulation model. Retrieval of data used in the questionnaire. This dedication activity produces training that can provide stimulation to master CNC machines by using a swansoft simulator. This is following the response of students who agree with the existence of CNC machine operation training activities assisted by swansoft simulator software so that it helps students to improve their competency in mastering CNC machines.

Abstract

Online learning that is currently taking place causes problems because of the limited learning models that can be done online, so that it can reduce students' self-efficacy and motivation to learn. Learning with the help of Google Classroom is one solution that can be applied to online learning activities in order to increase self-efficacy and student learning motivation. This study aims to analyses the effect of the application of Google Classroom on increasing self-efficacy and student motivation in the Department of Electrical Power Installation Engineering (TITL). This research is a quasi-experimental study using a pretest-posttest design in the control class and the experimental class. The sample in this study amounted to 80 students from the Department of Electrical Power Installation Engineering. The observation method was used to collect data on self-efficacy and learning motivation during the pretest and posttest by using an instrument that was arranged based on indicators on the dependent variable. The data obtained were then tested for prerequisites and then the data were analyzed using paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test. The results of data analysis showed that the use of Google Classroom proved significant in increasing students' self-efficacy and learning motivation in online learning activities for students of the Electrical Engineering Department. Learning activities with the help of Google Classroom are significantly superior to learning activities without the help of Google Classroom.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan prototype job sheet CNC berbasis Android dan untuk mengetahui kelayakan aplikasi dalam pembelajaran praktik CNC Teknik Pemesinan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) dengan prosedur penelitian Waterfall yang diadaptasi dari Royce, yang langkah prosedurnya terdiri dari Analysis, Design, Coding, dan Testing. Standar ISO 25010 juga digunakan sebagai standar pengujian perangkat lunak yang terdiri dari empat jenis pengujian yaitu; functional testing, compatibility testing, performance testing, dan usability testing. Penelitian ini melibatkan dua guru sebagai ahli materi, satu dosen dan dua developer sebagai ahli media, dan 30 siswa Teknik Pemesinan di SMKN 1 Cilegon. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan penyebaran kuisioner dengan hasil analisa berupa data kualitatif. Hasil analisis data validasi ahli menunjukkan bahwa validasi ahli materi mendapat persentase 90,94% (Sangat Layak), dan validasi ahli media mendapatkan rerata skor 3,71 (Sangat Layak). Hasil pengujian perangkat lunak menunjukkan bahwa pengujian functional 100%, pengujian compatibility 100%, pengujian performance menghasilkan rata-rata resouce CPU 44.66%, dan pengujian usability 79.36%. hal ini menunjukan bahwa aplikasi ini telah memenuhi standar ISO 25010. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah prototype job sheet CNC berbasis Android dapat dijadikan salah satu media pembelajaran dalam praktik mata pelajaran NC/CNC & CAM.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) untuk mengetahui implementasi metode CAVTA pada praktik pengelasan SMAW, (2) untuk mennganalisis peningkatan hasil pengelasan SMAW posisi 1F, (3) untuk mengetahui keefektifitasan penerapan metode CAVTA pada praktik pengelasan SMAW. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah mixed method dengan model concurren embed, sedangkan untuk jenis penelitiannya menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa yang mengampu mata kuliah praktik pengelasan 1 pada semester ganjil 2020/2021 di jurusan pendidikan vokasional teknik mesin sebanyak 25 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini berupa observasi, dokumentasi, wawancara dan studi literatur. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan arsip dokumen penunjang proses pembelajaran, lembar wawancara dan kuisioner. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu: 1) Pada impelementasi metode CAVTA dilakukan tiga siklus yang terdiri dari percobaan 1, percobaan 2 dan percobaan 3. 2) Terdapat peningkatan dari hasil pengelasan percobaan 1 (18,6%), percobaan 2 (35,0%) dan percobaan 3 (52,2%). Peningkatannya dinyatakan signifikan karena berdasarkan analisis anova satu jalur diperoleh hasil Fhitung > Ftabel yaitu 53,02 > 3,16 maka H0 ditolak berarti signifikan. 3) Hasil validasi penerima metode untuk keefektivitasan penerapan metode CAVTA pada praktik pengelasan SMAW sebesar 89% dengan kriteria sangat baik. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah metode CAVTA ini dapat meningkatkan hasil pengelasan SMAW posisi 1F dan efektif diterapkan pada proses pembelajaran praktik pengelasan SMAW karena mampu meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan mahasiswa.

Abstract

This study used finite element analysis method to analyze the underbracket T triangle on motorcycles using ANSYS 2023 R1 software. The material used is Structural Steel. The simulation is done by accurately modeling the triangle and meshing using the default algorithm. The boundary conditions are set by providing fixed support at all four-hole points and providing a load of 1000N on the Y-axis. The simulation results show a maximum equivalent stress (Von-Mises stress) of 7.173 MPa, which is still below the strength limit of the material. The underbracket T-triangle undergoes a maximum deformation of 0.00063309 mm at the upper right fork hole. This deformation indicates the extent to which the triangle changes shape due to the load applied. The safety factor obtained is greater than 1, indicating that the triangle has adequate safety to withstand the load. With a better understanding of the structural behavior of the underbracket triangle, the design can be improved to improve the strength and performance of the motorcycle.
