Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model, augmented by Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) for Excel, in enhancing students' mathematical understanding and skills. PBL emphasizes problem-solving, while VBA for Excel is a programming tool utilized for automating tasks within Excel spreadsheets. The study was conducted amongst a group of students at the elementary level equivalency education. Data were collected through pre and post-tests, classroom observations, and student feedback on the use of the PBL model and VBA for Excel. The results indicate a significant improvement in students' mathematical understanding and skills using the PBL model supported by VBA for Excel.  Participants exhibited a marked enhancement in their ability to develop mathematical skills. Additionaly, student satisfaction surveys revealed a positive response to the integration of PBL and VBA for Excel, reporting higher motivation, deeper engagement, and a positive perception of the relevance of the learning material. This research provides evidence that combining PBL and VBA for Excel can be an effectivite approach and medium for mathematics education, underscoring the importance of integrating real problem-solving using relevant technological applications in the process. The practical implication is that a VBA for Excel supported PBL model can foster enhanced understanding and skills in mathematics.

Abstract

:. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kepercayaan diri siswa SMA IT Fithrah Insani Bandung menggunakan media  ICT VBA Excel pada materi persamaan kuadrat. Subyek penelitian Siswa Kelas X SMA IT Fithrah Insani Bandung berjumlah 23 orang. Instrumen angket terdiri dari 25 pernyataan yang terdiri dari 5 indikator. Terdiri dari 4 pilihan, yakni sangat setuju(SS), setuju(S), tidak setuju(TS) dan sangat tidak setuju(STS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata baik yang terdiri dari 5 indikator. Indikator Percaya kepada kemampuan sendiri, tidak cemas baik, Merasa bebas, dan bertanggung jawab atas perbuatannya, Bertindak mandiri dalam mengambil keputusan, Berani mengungkapkan pendapat dan memiliki dorongan untuk berprestasi, mengenal kelebihan dan kekurangan diri sendiri. Didapat 77,7% respons positif, dikonversikan ke nilai 1-100,termasuk katagori baik..

Abstract

The appearance of the animated film Nussa and Rara on Youtube, in the episode of eating don't just eat which was watched by 88 million viewers, both children and adults and had 7.88 million subscriptions. The presence of this song is a highlight for the community. According to researchers, it is in accordance with this study that the education of moral and religious values requires a more modern, rational, comprehensive media, easily captured and lived by students. The problem is what moral and religious values and health are contained in nussa and Rara's animated songs, don't just eat from an early childhood Islamic education perspective. In this case, the researchers chose library research by taking the object of nusa and Rara animated songs episodes of eating don't just eat, through a Pragmatic approach and data collection was carried out through documentation. The results showed: First, moral and religious values: teaching the ethics of decency: a. always prioritize the right part in doing anything, b. start activities with good intentions, c. eat according to the portion in order to achieve blessings, d. the importance of maintaining cleanliness before and after eating, e. when eating and drinking while sitting. Second, for the world of health; a. overeating and irregularly can cause indigestion and give rise to a wide variety of diseases, b. eating with dirty hands can cause diarrhea, c. whereas Eating by hand and licking fingers to clean them is beneficial in helping smooth digestion, d. drinking in a standing position can provoke the occurrence of acid reflux of the stomach. e. not consuming food while it is still hot because it results in an imbalance in metabolism.
