Abstract

Thinking Mathematical creativity is a thinking skill whose goal is to solve a problem with several ideas, generate various ideas, be able to create new habits and have nothing in common with others and be able to develop ideas. Indicators of students' mathematical creative thinking abilities include 4 aspects, namely fluency, flexibility, originality and elaboration. The purpose of this study was to determine the ability to think creatively in class VII junior high school students in solving flat shape problems. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The test used in this test is a creative thinking test which presents questions to students in class in the form of a written test in grade VIII of a SMPN 1 Parongpong school. The results of the research show that the students' creative reasoning in a system of linear equations is still weak, because the students' answers are correct. gets the maximum score, fluency index is 45%, flexibility is 45%, originality is 29%, and the lowest percentage is elaboration which is 3%. This is an indicator of unfulfilled student progress.

Abstract

This study looked at how difficult it was for grade VIII students of junior high school in working on a system of two-variable linear equations problems based on gender. Qualitative descriptive method was used for this research. Eight students consisting of four male students and four female students from SMPN 02 Cililin were used as research subjects. The instrument used in this research is four items in the form of descriptions. The results of student test scores based on the SPLDV question instrument were used in collecting research data, with indicators; 1) create a mathematical model, 2) determine and use a strategy to solve mathematical problems., 3) based on the analysis and discussion of 4 material description questions on a system of two-variable equations, based on the conclusions obtained by eighth grade male students of SMPN 02 Cililin in working on the problems SPLDV is still weak compared to female students. Students' lack of understanding of the concept of solving problems with a system of two-variable linear equations, an inability to understand the meaning of the questions, and the difficulty in figuring out strategies to solve problems are the contributing factors.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to look at the improvement in mathematical communication skills of eighth-grade students who used the discovery learning model with eighteenth-year-olds who used conventional models. The experimental quota method used in the research this time. The research subjects involved two classes VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Cihampelas, in which one class applied the discovery learning model VIII-1 and the other class using conventional learning VIII-5. The data in this study is obtained from five tests on the description of mathematical communication abilities. The research data is derived from the results of pretes and postes and then processed with the test of data normality, test of homogenity of variance, and test of significance of difference 2 averages using the help of IBM SPSS Statistic 27 software. The results of the study showed that the improved mathematical communication skills of eighth-grade students who used the discovery learning model were better compared to eighteenth-year-olds who used conventional models. Thus, the discovery learning model can be used as an alternative to the application of mathematics in the learning process to improve students' mathematical communication skills.

Abstract

This research is motivated by students' difficulties in solving story problems on the material of area and perimeter of flat shapes, therefore a learning model and interactive media are needed to overcome these problems. The alternative learning model applied is the discovery learning model. And the media used to help the learning process of VBA for Excel students. The purpose of this study was to examine the improvement of students' understanding ability in one of the State Elementary Schools in Bandung Regency. The instrument used in this research is a description question with as many as four items to determine students' understanding ability. The research method used in this research is experimental in the form of a group pretest-posttest design. The subjects in this study were students in one of the public elementary schools in Bandung Regency. The research data were obtained from the pretest and posttest results. The data were then processed using IBM SPSS Statistics 25 software. The results of data processing showed that there was an increase in the understanding ability of elementary school students after being given treatment using the discovery learning model assisted by VBA for Excel. Students are very enthusiastic about learning, it is proven that the discovery learning model assisted by VBA for Excel is very effective for further learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to combine the RME approach with the use of the CapCut application in an effort to optimize students' mathematical problem-solving skills. Realistic Mathematics Education is an approach that uses the real world to understand and solve problems. The population in this study of students at SMPN 1 Cihampelas the sample used is class VIII students with a total of 40 students. The learning instruments and tools used are Pretest and Postes questions and LKPD which contain material about the Pythagorean theorem and the characteristics of the Realistic Mathematics Education approach. The results of the Mann-Whitney test analysis prove that the improvement of mathematical problem-solving skills of grade VIII students whose learning uses the Realistic Mathematics Education approach assisted by CapCut learning videos is better than students who use regular learning. So that the RME and CapCut approaches are able to optimize students' mathematical problem-solving skills.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of stock price fluctuations in manufacturing companies, which reflect market instability, both internal and external to the company. These volatile stock price changes create uncertainty for investors, particularly when financial performance indicators such as Return on Assets (ROA), Current Ratio (CR), and Net Profit Margin (NPM) show varying results across companies and time periods. Strong financial performance is usually a positive signal for investors, but inconsistencies in these indicators raise doubts in investment decision-making. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of ROA, CR, and NPM on stock prices in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2021 to 2024. This study uses a quantitative approach with a causal research type, where the data used are secondary data obtained from the companies' annual financial reports. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, with certain criteria, resulting in a sample of 85 companies. With an observation period of four years, a total of 340 observations were analyzed. The analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS version 30 software. The results of the analysis indicate that, partially, ROA and CR have a significant influence on stock prices. This means that increasing the efficiency of asset use and the company's ability to meet short-term obligations are important factors considered by investors. However, NPM does not have a significant influence partially on stock prices. Nevertheless, all three variables simultaneously have a significant influence on stock prices. This finding has important implications for company management, namely that increasing asset efficiency and optimal liquidity management can strengthen a company's attractiveness to investors by improving credible financial performance.

Abstract

The problem in this study is to evaluate the improvement of students' geometry skills using the GeoGebra application by focusing on two key indicators: logical thinking and drawing skills. This study employs both quantitative and qualitative methods. In the first stage, quantitative data were collected through pretests and posttests to measure student geometry skill changes. In the second stage, qualitative methods were used to explore and validate the quantitative findings through geometry skill tasks and interviews. The research subjects were second-semester mathematics education students at Bina Bangsa University, selected using purposive sampling. The findings reveal that students who engaged in geometry learning with GeoGebra experienced significant improvement in both logical reasoning and geometric drawing skills. Students became better at visualizing geometric problems, constructing geometric figures accurately, and connecting visual information to logical reasoning processes. GeoGebra improved students’ ability to identify patterns, perform deductions, draw conclusions, and visually communicate geometric ideas. It is recommended that GeoGebra be complemented with mathematical writing and drawing activities in geometry instruction to strengthen further the logical and visual dimensions of students’ geometric thinking.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has driven the need for innovation in learning evaluation systems. One effective innovation is the application of gamification to evaluation tools to increase student engagement and motivation. However, many educators lack the skills to optimally develop gamification-based evaluation instruments. This community service activity aims to improve the skills of educators in West Bandung Regency in developing gamification-based evaluation tools using the Kuis Pintar digital platform. The methods used included needs analysis, development of training modules, workshops, hands-on practice, and evaluation of training outcomes. The results of the activity showed a significant improvement in educators' skills in designing gamification-based evaluation instruments. This training is expected to become a model for developing engaging and effective digital-based evaluations in schools.

Abstract

Community service outreach activities based on research results, the theme of the activity is improving the economy of rural communities through cooperative partnerships, carried out in the form of counseling and socialization with the aim of providing understanding and the spirit of cooperatives to the community. Where the cooperative, is an economic business that is a pillar of the national economy which has the aim of prospering its members in particular and society in general. Pasirjambu Village, Pasirjambu Sub-district, Bandung Regency is a Partner Village (Guidance) for the Community Service Institute, Jakarta Islamic University. The active cooperatives are KSP Sejahtera and KSP PWRI. The existence of the cooperative is proven by research that still needs to be improved and expanded its partnership network, and the community in Pasirjambu Village has not yet felt the positive impact. Therefore, there is a need for continuous counseling, mentoring, and socialization in order to take advantage of the existing potential in order to help improve the local economy through cooperatives. The method of activity is counseling, filling out questionnaires, delivering material, socializing discussions asking questions and mentoring. The results of outreach activities and socialization of community service are that the community can understand cooperatively in a comprehensive manner, so that they have a strong desire to become active members, collaborate in mentoring and establish sustainable collaboration. Kegiatan penyuluhan Pengabdian kepada masyarakat berbasis hasil penelitian, tema kegiatan yaitu peningkatan perekonomian masyarakat pedesaan melalui kemitraan koperasi, dilaksanakan dalam bentuk penyuluhan dan sosialisasi dengan tujuan memberikan pemahaman dan semangat berkoperasi kepada masyarakat. Dimana koperasi, merupakan sebagai usaha ekonomi yang menjadi pilar perekonomian nasional yang memiliki tujuan untuk mensejahterakan para anggota khususnya dan masyarakat pada umumnya. Desa Pasirjambu Kecamatan Pasirjambu Kabupaten Bandung merupakan Desa Mitra (Binaan) Lembaga Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Universitas Islam Jakarta. Koperasi yang aktif KSP Sejahtera dan KSP PWRI. Keberadaan koperasi tersebut dibuktikan dengan penelitian masih perlu ditingkatkan dan diperluas jejaring kemitraannya, dan masyarakat di Desa Pasirjambu belum cukup merasakan dampak positif. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya penyuluhan, pendampingan dan sosialisasi yang berkesinambungan guna memanfaatkan potensi yang ada dalam rangka membantu meningkatkan perekonomian daerah setempat melalui koperasi. Metode kegiatan yaitu penyuluhan, pengisian angket, penyampaian materi, sosialisasi diskusi dan tanya jawab serta pendampingan. Hasil kegiatan penyuluhan dan sosialisasi pengabdian kepada masyarakat yaitu masyarakat dapat memahami tentang koperasi secara komprehenship, sehingga memiliki keinginan yang kuat menjadi anggota aktif, kolaborasi pendampingan dan terjalin kerjasama yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the interest in learning mathematics for fifth grade elementary school students on prime number material assisted by ICT learning media, namely Visual Basic Application (VBA) Excel. The research method uses qualitative descriptive research. The subjects of this study were 5th grade students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) II Celak which consisted of 26 students. The instrument was given in the form of a questionnaire for students' interest in learning consisting of 20 statements, with 10 positive statements each and 10 negative statements from five indicators, 1). Feelings of pleasure, 2). Student interests, 3). Student involvement, 4). Diligent in studying and diligent in doing math tasks, 5). Diligent and disciplined in learning and having a study schedule. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that learning mathematics using VBA media can increase student learning interest. This is shown by the percentage of each indicator of student interest in learning. The highest indicator is the feeling of pleasure and interest of students in learning mathematics, each getting 87.02% and 89.18% which shows that students' interest in learning mathematics is very high.
