Abstract

This research aim to study the benefit of Social Science lesson, especially the History Subject, in grade VIII of SMP Kristen Satya Wacana. The background of the problem is the concern toward nowdays situation. Indonesian people have the ability to create high national cultur that born from the idea and creation of various ethnics. In this milenial era, the junior high school students are supposed to be ready to face the technology that growing rapidly. The data of the research are obtained from mix method. The sampling technique are Saturated Sampling and Purposive Sampling. This research shows that student apply positive values that given by the History teacher. This value are: tolerance (88,5%), religious (88%), well mannered (85%), appreciating others’ opinion (84,6%), and honesty (83%). Based on the observation, researcher found that students apply the moral values very well. The History learning is beneficial in motivating the character building.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to describe the establishment history of Benteng Pendem Cilacap and understand the function switch of it from the beginning until now. The central question of this study asks how is the function switch of Benteng Pendem from time to time. Therefore, historical method was applied in order to answer the question. Data for this research were collected using four stages: heuristic, source criticism, interpretation, and historical writing. The result showed that at first, Benteng Pendem was designed for military design of the Dutch-Indian government. However, at this current development, it was used for several function: 1) during the Japanese occupation, it was used as a military defense headquarters by Japanese soldier; 2) during the Indonesian independence, it was used as a place to practice for war and sea landing by the Indonesian national army (TNI) Banteng Loreng in Central Java; 3) at this time, Benteng Pendem Cilacap is one of Indonesia’s educational and historical excursion.

Abstract

This research aims: 1) Explain the factors that encourage people to participate in conservation of historical heritage. 2) Identify the character values that form the basis of community participation in conservation. 3) Identify forms of historical heritage conservation activities. 4) How to carry out conservation. The techniques of data collection are literature, observation, FGD, and depth interviewing. The basis of analysis used of qualitative descriptive. The results of this research as follows: 1) The factors that encourage community participation in conservation: (a) cultural factors as ancestral heritage, historical heritage must be secured, cared for and preserved; (b) Social psychology: safeguarding and caring for historical heritage, their life will be safe and the environment will bring prosperity to peoples. 2) Character values that form the basis community participation in conservation are responsibility, sincerity, humanity, and care for the environment. 3) The forms of conservation activities show as to take care of and finding historical heritage, checking historical heritage, preserving, caring for the environment and historical sites so that clean, keeping the path to the location of historical sites so that clean and accessible to visitors.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas terkait keberadaan Lembaga Kemahasiswaan (LK) sebagai organisasi yang menjadi wadah bagi mahasiswa dalam sebuah lembaga pendidikan yang sedang mengalami konflik internal yaitu ketika dilaksanakannya pemilihan rektor Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana (UKSW) selama awal sampai dengan pertengahan tahun 1990-an yang di mana masa tersebut juga merupakan masa-masa pra reformasi. Metode penelitian dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan sumber-sumber yang relevan yaitu berupa wawancara, arsip serta literatur buku. Kemudian dilakukan analisis terhadap sumber-sumber berupa hasil wawancara kepada individu yang terlibat sebagai bagian dari LK, arsip-arsip berupa surat kabar yang terbit pada masa tersebut serta surat-surat resmi yang dikeluarkan oleh pihak-pihak yang bersangkutan pada peristiwa tersebut yang diperlengkapi dengan beberapa sumber buku. Hasil analisis terhadap sumber kemudian diinterpretasikan menjadi sebuah kesimpulan yang akan menunjukan gambaran umum terkait kemelut UKSW serta keberadaan dan peran LK sebagai wahana organisasi mahasiswa yang harus menghadapi gejolak baik dari internal maupun eksternal organisasi serta pasang surutnya kepercayaan mahasiswa kepada organisasi yang menjadi wadah berekspresi dalam lingkup istitusi pendidikan.

Abstract

Program ini bertujuan memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan penggunaan alat komunikasi (handphone android) bagi anggota Kelompok Usaha Bersama (KUB) Berkat dan KUB Peduli Sesami yang menjadi binaan Lembaga Pelayanan Masyarakat Pelita Kasih (LPM-PK). Melalui kegiatan ini diharapkan anggota KUB dapat menggunakan HP Android untuk: 1) Mempromosikan produk usahanya secara online sehingga produk usahanya dapat dikenal banyak orang di dunia maya serta mampu memperluas jaringan pemasarannya.  2) Anak-anak binaan LPM-PK dapat menggunakan HP android untuk mendukung tugas-belajarnya, menambah wawasan pengetahuannya dan menggunakannya secara benar, tidak melanggar hukum. Anak-anak menjadi semangat belajar dan cinta sekolah, menunjukkan karakter yang bertanggungjawab. Target yang dicapai adalah 1) Anggota KUB memiliki layout promosi secara online, dan 2) Mempunyai pemahaman tentang penggunaan IT secara benar dan bertanggungjawab. Metode yang dipakai dalam pencapaian tujuan ini dengan menggunakan pendekatan pemberdayaan partisipatif aktif, sarasehan dan sosialisasi, pelatihan-pelatihan, praktek, dan pendampingan. Langkah-langkah kegiatannya sebagai berikut: 1) Sarasehan tentang kesadaran hukum pemanfaatan TI dan sosialisasi UU ITE. 2) Pelatihan pembuatan layout promosi produk usaha, 3) Praktek menggunakan HP Android untuk promosi secara online, 4) Pelatihan penggunaan HP Android untuk kegiatan mendukung belajar, 6) Pendampingan dan 7) Kegiatan monitoring dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan adalah 1) Anak-anak dapat mengerjakan tugas sekolahnya dengan menggunakan media sosial yang selama ini dianggap sulit sehingga malas untuk mengerjakannya. 2) Terdapat 3 peluang usaha online untuk Usaha Rias Pengantin Kharista, Usaha Jasa Event Organiser untuk Entertainment dan Usaha Produk Aneka Makanan Kecil.

Abstract

The concept of harmony in Javanese society contains ethical principles that must be upheld by the Javanese people. All measures are taken to maintain harmony. Rodatin is a folk performing art that reflects this concept. Rodat dance serves as a medium of Islamic symbols since the reign of Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono I. Rodatin is a war technique of the Diponegaro War which is camouflaged in the form of smooth movements. Knowledge of this art is limited to oral speech. This paper writes about the collective memory of Rodatin in the Margo Rukun art group in Mulungan Hamlet, Nogosren Village, Getasan District, Semarang Regency, Central Java. From this activity, it can be seen that Rodatin art has a blend of Javanese, Hindu, Islamic and Western values. Rodatin art is performed in the methukan (encounter) tradition in the Javanese-Islamic calendar, namely Rejeb, Ruwah, Pasa, Suro, and Sapar. Methukan is a symbol of hablum minnanas and hablum minnallah (human relations with fellow creatures and humans with the creator). Rodatin art as a means of da'wah and practice to knit the way of harmony in accordance with Javanese and Islamic values.

Abstract

This study aimed to examines public perceptions of ChatGPT, a language model developed by OpenAI, particularly in the context of education. Netnography and Social Network Analysis were employed in this study. Using Instagram as the main source of data, the top 10 posts related to ChatGPT were analyzed, and three active groups discussing the technology were identified: university accounts, education influencers, and AI technology developers. A keyword analysis was conducted, and 24 related search terms were grouped into four clusters, showing that ChatGPT is directly related to artificial intelligence, machine learning, learning systems, research, data mining, ethics, and authorship. Overall, the development of ChatGPT has attracted the attention of various parties, particularly in the field of education. There is significant concern about the impact of this technology on humanistic values in education, but many parties are also striving to optimize ChatGPT's potential to improve effectiveness and efficiency in the teaching and learning process. Therefore, a better understanding and adaptation of ChatGPT technology is needed to minimize negative impacts and maximize its positive potential in the world of education.

Abstract

Cetho Temple area has many historical sites that have not been documented. Because the location and existence of the site spreads in various places and is difficult to reach by the community. RECO Community have cares about these sites. This community was built 2016 and numbered 18 people. They believe  historical sites should be cared for and protected. The wishes of the community are in line with the program of the community service from the History Education  and Civic Education Course. The purpose of the community service program is for the community to document historical sites in the Cetho Temple Area through activities they have the knowledge and skills to document cultural heritage in the area. The method is to introduce equipment for historical site documentation, exercise, practice, mentoring and evaluation. The results of the activity showed that RECO Community could use them to document historical sites.

Abstract

Community service program in Ngrawan hamlet, Ngrawan village, Getasan sub-district, Semarang regency is designed with a holistic approach involving the strategies of seminars, training, practical exercises, and mentoring. The program's location is chosen to enhance community understanding and engagement with cultural heritage remains. Program evaluation is conducted through pre-tests and post-tests during seminars to measure participants' understanding achievements. At the end of the activities, a comprehensive evaluation is performed on the training products, such as digitalization SOP for cultural heritage, documentation, and digitalization results (360° photos and video profiles of cultural heritage objects). The evaluation results serve as a foundation to ensure the sustainability of the program, including the possibility of mentoring for local partner organizations. The program aims to have a positive impact on preserving local cultural heritage and increasing community participation in the process.

Abstract

Sekarang ini banyak masyarakat yang lebih memilih mengkonsumsi jajanan modern, seperti: kue balok, cupcake, donat modern, dll. dan mulai melupakan jajanan tradisional salah satunya yaitu jajanan dumbeg. Hal ini karena jajanan tradisional tersebut sudah jarang dibuat setiap hari. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membuat deskripsi atau gambaran mengenai Dumbeg sebagai simbol kearifan lokal masayarakat Desa genjahan Kecamatan jiken Kabupaten Blora serta faktor-faktor yang penyebab sulitnya menemukan dumbeg. Metode penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. bahwa faktor-faktor penyebab dumbeg tidak lagi banyak ditemukan adalah faktor tradisi yang berbeda di setiap daerah, karena makanan tersebut hanya disajikan pada saat acara tertentu saja. Seperti pada saat tradisi sedekah bumi. Pelaksanaan tradisi sedekah bumi ini dilaksanakan satu tahun sekali setelah panen tiba. Di Kota Blora tradisi sedekah bumi masih dilestarikan di setiap desa, banyak anggapan bahwa jajanan tradisional ini rasanya terlalu legit sehingga banyak masyarakat yang jarang menyukai jajanan tradisional ini. Nilai-nilai kearifan lokal yang dapat diambil dari jajanan tradisional dumbeg yaitu nilai toleransi, nilai gotong royong, dan nilai religius. Beberapa cara yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengenalkan dan melestarikan jajanan tradisional dumbeg, antara lain adalah melalui media sosial, kegiatan praktek pembuatan untuk genasi muda, dan pemasaran di pasar tradisional.
