Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out the factors causing the problems of honesty Character Education at Samarinda Islamic High School, as well as the obstacles faced by schools and teachers is dealing with honesty character education problems that occur at Samarinda Islamic High School and the efforts made by schools and teachers in overcoming character education problems. Honesty at Samarinda Islamic High School. The research was conducted at Samarinda Islamic High School, using descriptive qualitative reseach subjects were the principal of the Samarinda Islamic High School, the Pancasila and Civics Education using observation, interview and documentation teachniques. The results of the research show that the problem of honesty character Education at Samarinda Islamic High School is to two casual factors, namely environmental factors and individual factors. There are internal costraints (student attitudes) and also external contraints (the role of schools and teachers) which make honesty problems difficult to minimize. Then with planning efforts. Determine the consequences for dishonest behavior and also give rewards to honesty students. Develop and supervise students so that they always behave honestly.

Abstract

Waste management is a systematic and sustainable activity that includes reducing and handling waste. Social conflict is a social process in which individuals or groups try to fulfill their goals by opposing opposing parties accompanied by threats or violence. The aim of this research is to describe the social conflict that occurs in the community living around the Sambutan District TPA in the form of a foul smell arising from piles of rubbish as well as acts of thuggery experienced by rubbish truck drivers and to describe the implementation of Law Number 18 of 2008 concerning Waste Management in Overcoming Social Conflict Between Communities Around the Sambutan District TPA. Types of qualitative phenomenological research. The research was conducted at the Sambutan District TPA in March 2024- May 2024. The research subjects were one Head of the Sambutan TPA UPTD, one TPA Supervisor and four communities around the Sambutan TPA using observation, interview and documentation techniques. Data analysis techniques are data collection, data reduction, data presentation and data collection. The results of the research show that the implementation of Law Number 18 of 2008 concerning Waste Management in Overcoming Social Conflict between the communities around the Sambutan District TPA shows that the head of the UPTD and the Sambutan TPA Supervisor have carried out waste management in accordance with Law Number 18 of 2008, such as using waste during 3 days to reduce the stench from piles of rubbish and operate rubbish truck drivers at certain hours to avoid acts of thuggery at night, this is to overcome social conflicts between communities around the TPA in Sambutan sub-district

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out how gender equality is implemented through the community development and empowerment program (probebaya) in the Samarinda Mayor's office, then what obstacles exist, as well as the efforts made in implementing probebaya to realize gender equality in Samarinda City. Type of descriptive qualitative research. The research was conducted at the Mayor of Samarinda's office in March 2024 - May 2024. The subject of this research was the Head of the BAPPERIDA Sub-Government Team, Samarinda Community Self-Help Activator JabFung DP2PA, BAPPERIDA Community Equality and Welfare JabFung using observation, interview and documentation techniques. Data analysis techniques are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and data conclusion. The research results show that the analysis of gender equality in the implementation of development and community empowerment programs (probebaya) at the Samarinda Mayor's Office has been carried out evenly, starting from the roles of men, women and people with disabilities. This Probebaya program is also purely from, by and for the community. This is because the impact can be felt directly by the community itself, starting from the infrastructure sector, the economic sector, the socio-cultural sector, the health sector, the education sector and the youth sector, all of which are implemented at the RT level on a small scale.

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the implementation of character education in the era of globalisation through PPKN learning for students of SMK Cendana DDI Samarinda, Samarinda City. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The focus of this research is to find out how the planning, implementation and values that appear in learning at SMK Cendana DDI Samarinda. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data display, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of character education in SMK Cendana students still has many shortcomings in the form of planning that is documented very well but only continues the previous teacher's teaching program, the implementation of character education is very good in the field of delivery and giving examples but in the absence of documentation of measuring student development teachers do not understand how to see the progress of character education in the classroom, the value that arises from the implementation of character education in the classroom has had a great impact on student understanding but because smk cendana is a vocational school students do not pay full attention and focus more on their major lessons

Abstract

The existence of gender equality within the organization of the Student Executive Board of the Mulawarman University Student Family which is seen based on reality and what factors influence the achievement of gender equality in the Ministry of Gender within the BEM KM Mulawarman University. This type of research is descriptive qualitative with research data sources of primary data and secondary data. The data analysis techniques used are data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions, and the theories used by the author are Gender theory by Edward Wilson and Feminism theory by Naomi Wolf. The results of this study explain that the reality of gender equality that occurs in the Mulawarman University BEM KM organization in the 2023/2024 BEM KM management has increased towards the involvement of women as leaders and in decision making. In addition, the factors that influence the achievement of gender equality in the gender ministry in the BEM KM organization at Mulawarman University can be seen based on the success and achievement of work programs carried out by the Ministry of Gender. These work programs encourage gender equality awareness and participation through education, empowerment, and overcoming barriers to achieving equality in the organization and ensuring that opportunities are effectively utilized by all parties.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze how gender and culture are represented in the Grade VIII Indonesian language textbook of the Merdeka Curriculum. The focus is on various aspects of gender representation, such as the depiction of characters, their roles, activities, attributes, social status, gender equality, and stereotypes related to gender. Additionally, the study explores cultural representation, which encompasses cultural forms, diversity, local traditions, context, ways of presentation, and the cultural values expressed in the textbook's texts and illustrations. The methodology employed is descriptive qualitative research with a content analysis framework. Data were gathered through documenting and note-taking methods on the content of the textbook, followed by an analysis process that includes identification, classification, interpretation, and drawing conclusions. Findings indicate that the gender representation in the textbook predominantly portrays men as leading figures in public roles, leadership, and decision-making, whereas women are mainly shown in nurturing, domestic, and supportive capacities. On the other hand, the cultural representation illustrates the variety of Indonesian culture by showcasing regional customs, languages, art forms, traditional cuisine, practices, and societal norms. The study concludes that although the textbook presents cultural diversity adequately, there is a need for improvement in gender representation balance to better reflect equality values in the educational experience.
