Abstract

The language activities of early childhood are interesting things to study. A child develops language competencies from the use of the language of the people in the surrounding environment. The environment is one of the factors that determine children in acquiring language. Outer stimulation of the child can influence children in developing language skills. The discussion of this article is going to focus on stimuli that can be given to early childhood in supporting language activities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian untuk mengembangkan buku ajar mata kuliah media pembelajaran di jurusan Tadris Bahasa Indonesia, IAIN Tulungagung. Penelitian ini didasari oleh fakta bahwa hampir tidak ada buku ajar yang secara khusus membahas tentang media pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Pada umumnya para Dosen dan Mahasiswa Tadris Bahasa Indonesia IAIN Tulungagung menggunakan buku referensi media pembelajaran secara umum. Hal ini membuat subtansi mata kuliah media pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia kurang dapat dipahami dengan rinci. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mengadaptasi model penelitian dan pengembangan Borg dan Gall. Hasil penelitian dan pengembangan ini berupa buku ajar mata kuliah media pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Buku ini diujicobakan kepada tim ahli, dosen, dan para mahasiswa. Terdapat dua ahli untuk menguji coba buku ini yaitu ahli media dan ahli materi bahasa Indonesia. Berdasarkan hasil uji coba diperoleh hasil bahwa buku ini efektif digunakan dalam perkuliahan media pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Hal ini juga terlihat dari perbandingan hasil prates maupun pascates setelah menggunakan buku ajar terhadap mahasiswa. Namun, terdapat beberapa revisi untuk memperbaiki isi maupun tampilan buku ajar agar lebih layak digunakan. Revisi dilakukan pada aspek variasi latihan dan tampilan layout bahan ajar. Selain itu, ada penambahan materi tentang jenis-jenis media. Hal ini agar memperkaya wawasan mahasiswa terkait macam media pembelajaran.

Abstract

Reading as a means of independent learning plays an important role for students. First semester students of Islamic Economics Department as prospective Islamic-based economists have a major contribution in building the Indonesian economy. The quality of their ideas is also determined by the quality of their reading ability. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine reading interest, favorite types of reading, and barriers to reading interest for students majoring in Islamic Economics in first semester IAIN Tulungagung. This study uses a quantitative approach to the type of survey. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire. Descriptive analysis technique was used in this research data analysis. The subjects of this study were 113 students majoring in Islamic Economics First  semester IAIN Tulungagung. The results of this study indicate that (1) students' reading interest in Islamic Economics first semester IAIN Tulungagung tends to be at a moderate level, it can be seen that 52.2% of students like to read and 7.9% of students say they really like reading; (2) novels are the most popular reading material for Islamic economic students in first semester IAIN Tulungagung; (3) Several factors inhibiting interest in reading students majoring in islamic economic first semester IAIN Tulungagung are laziness, lack of motivation, difficulty in obtaining reading materials, and environmental factors.

Abstract

Javanese literature is a product from ideas of author and Javanese poet which contain a great value. Many kind of Javanese literature has created from author and being a phenomenal works because contain morality values. One of phenomenal Javanese literature is Serat Tripama from KGPAA Mangkunegara IV. Serat Tripama tell us about three characters of wayang, that are Suwanda, Kumbakarna, and Karna. When we look moredeeper into Serat Tripama, there are contain good messages about nationalism values, it can look in depiction of three characters who was talking about. Serat Tripama can use to be a means to introducting national spirit characters for young generation. That way is related with the last condition, when many young generation having less of sense of belonging with their nation. Therefore, this way can use to introduction the Javanese literature works to the young generations, because in this globalization era most of our young generation preference like to learn the other works from the other culture than knowing and learning about their own culture, in this context is Javanese literature

Abstract

Reading aloud is necessary for early childhood. Reading aloud can help developing language, growing literacy from an early age, increasing intellectual competence, controlling emotions, and bringing parents closer to their children. As technology growing fast, there are many reading materials that can be used in reading aloud. One of the media that can be used in reading aloud is the Let's Read application. Let's Read is a free of charge application in the form of digital books that can be accessed online and offline. This study uses descriptive qualitative method. This study aims to explain the use of the Let's Read application in reading aloud, reading materials that can be used in the Let's Read application to read aloud, and the advantages and disadvantages of the Let's Read application. The results of this study indicate that the Let's Read application can be used on parents' gadgets, such as smart phones or laptops. Reading materials that can be used in reading aloud can be adjusted into the difficulty level of reading material or children's interest in pictures / illustrations. The advantages of this application are that it can be accessed for free, presented in several languages ​​(multilingual), attractive appearance in terms of illustrations and the use of font face or font size (can be enlarged or reduced) as well as the content of story that is easy to comprehend. On the other hand, the disadvantage of this application is on illustrations/ images presented in two dimensions.

Abstract

The Content of Character Values in the Folklore of Kiai Pacet and Rara Kembang Sore. The purposes of this research are a) to describe the character values in the folklore of Kiai Pacet and Rara Kembang Sore and b) to describe the function of character values in the folklore. This research uses a qualitative approach with content analysis research methods. The source of data in this research is the text of the Tulungagung folklore (Kiai Pacet and Rara Kembang Sore) contained in the East Java Folklore anthology published by the East Java Language Center in 2011. The data for this research are narratives and dialogues from two folklore texts. The results show that the values contained in the folklore of Kiai Pacet and Rara Kembang Sore are religiousness, honesty, tolerance, creativity, curiousity, appreciation of achievement, love of peace, responsibility, and social care. The function of character values in the two folklores are the shaping and developing the potentials, improvements and strengthening, and filtering  functions.

Abstract

The Building of Youth Character Trough Metri Ritual Value. The salvation ritual or it is so called metri in Ringinpitu Village still exists and goes on. The values contained in the ritual of metri can be used as a means to build the worthy character of the youth generation. This study uses descriptive qualitative method. Data were obtained from the results of interviews and literature review. Interviews were conducted with the elders of Ringinagung Subvillage, Ringinpitu Village, , Tulungagung Regency. The results of this study reveal that there are philosophical and religious values in ritual of metri in Ringinpitu Village. These values are contained in the ijab (speech / prayer of the leader of metri ritual) and the special dishes prepared. Worthy characters that can be built from metri rituals are mutual cooperation, cooperation, harmony, always remembering God, and always remembering the merits of the predecessors or ancestors.

Abstract

Presiden Joko Widodo sebagai orang nomor satu di Republik Indonesia selalu mendapatkan banyak sorotan publik, baik dalam kehidupan pribadi maupun profesinya. Dengan adanya UU Cipta Kerja dan kasus Covid-19 di Indonesia, Presiden mendapatkan banyak kritikan. Hal ini menyebabkan salah satu media mengadakan wawancara khusus dengan Presiden Joko Widodo. Selama wawancara berlangsung, terjadi senyapan saat beliau berbicara. Senyapan dilakukan Presiden Joko Widodo saat beberapa kali menjawab pertanyaan dari pewawancara. Senyapan dalam tuturan penting untuk diteliti karena dapat mengungkapkan proses mental penutur. Selain itu, senyapan membutuhkan pembahasan lebih dalam untuk menambah informasi tentang produksi ujaran pada bidang ilmu psikolinguistik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang bentuk senyapan dan penyebabnya dalam wawancara. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian ini berupa produksi ujaran Presiden Joko Widodo yang diwawancarai secara eksklusif di Kompas TV pada Senin, 16 November 2020. Hasil penelitian ini, pertama bentuk senyapan meliputi senyapan terisi, senyapan pengulangan, senyapan pemanjangan, senyapan kombinasi, senyapan false start, dan senyapan diam. Kedua, penyebab senyapan meliputi terlanjur memulai ujaran, tetapi sebenarnya belum siap untuk keseluruhan kalimat itu; lupa akan kata-kata yang diperlukan; kehati-hatian memilih kata; ketidaksiapan memulai tuturan; adanya kekeliruan tuturan; pengubahan isi tuturan; ragu-ragu karena mengingat kejadian di masa lampau; mencari kata-kata yang tepat untuk disampaikan.
