Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to determine 1) How far the level of effectiveness of Arabica coffee farmer groups in Sangir Subdistrict, South Solok Regency. 2) How far the influence of internal factors on the effectiveness of Arabica coffee farmer groups in Sangir Subdistrict, South Solok Regency. 3) How far the influence of external factors on the effectiveness of Arabica coffee farmer groups in Sangir Subdistrict, South Solok Regency. The population in this study are farmers who are members of farmer groups who are trying to grow Arabica coffee in Sangir District, where there are 10 (ten) farmer groups with 166 members. Samples were calculated using the slovins formula with a total of 117 people. Sampling in the population using a multistage sampling technique, while to determine the number of research samples in each farmer group using proportional random sampling method. Analysis of the data used in this study is quantitative descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, a number of conclusions can be made as follows 1) The effectiveness of the Arabica coffee farmer groups in Sangir Selatan, Solok Selatan sub-district can be seen from the first group productivity, which is carried out effectively enough so that it appears that members of the farmer groups are mutually help its members to grow their farming business. Second, member satisfaction, as a whole is carried out effectively enough so that it appears that members of the farmer group can enjoy their respective roles as group members and the role and function of the group in supporting needs and solving problems in trying to farm coffee. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that the internal factors of the group had a positive and significant effect on the effectiveness of the Arabica coffee farmer group in Sangir Subdistrict, South Solok Regency. Keywords: Internal Group Factors, Group External Factors, Group Effectiveness ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui 1) Sejauhmana tingkat efektivitas kelompok tani kopi Arabika di Kecamatan Sangir Kabupaten Solok Selatan. 2) Sejauhmana pengaruh faktor internal terhadap efektivitas kelompok tani kopi Arabika di Kecamatan Sangir Kabupaten Solok Selatan. 3) Sejauhmana pengaruh faktor eksternal terhadap efektivitas kelompok tani kopi Arabika di Kecamatan Sangir Kabupaten Solok Selatan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah petani yang menjadi anggota kelompok tani yang berusaha tani kopi Arabika di Kecamatan Sangir, dimana kelompok taninya yaitu sebanyak 10 (sepuluh) kelompok tani dengan anggota sebanyak 166 orang petani. Sampel dihitung menggunakan rumus slovins dengan jumlah sebanyak 117 orang. Penarikan sampel dalam populasi menggunakan teknik penarikan sampel bertahap (multistage sampling), sedangkan untuk menentukan jumlah sampel penelitian pada masing-masing kelompok tani dengan menggunakan metode proporsional random sampling. Analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan Analisis regresi linier berganda. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dan pembahasan, maka dapat dibuat beberapa kesimpulan sebagai berikut 1) Gingkat efektivitas kelompok tani kopi kopi arabika di kecamatan sangir kabupaten solok selatan dapat dilihat dari petama produktvitas kelompok, dimana secara kesleuruhan dilaksanakan dengan cukup efektif sehingga terlihat bahwa anggota kelompok tani tersebut saling membantu anggotanya agar usaha taninya berkembang. Kedua Kepuasan anggota, secara keseluruhan dilaksanakan dengan cukup efektif sehingga terlihat bahwa anggota kelompok tani tersebut dapat menikmati peran mereka masing-masing sebagai anggota kelompok maupun peran dan fungsi kelompok dalam menunjang kebutuhan serta menyelesaikan masalah dalam berusaha tani kopi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis ditemukan faktor internal kelompok berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap efektivitas kelompok tani kopi arabika di Kecamatan Sangir Kabupaten Solok Selatan. Abstract

Research objectives for 1). Knowing the Adoption Rate of Shallot Technology from Seeds in Lamposi Tigo Nagori District, Payakumbuh City. 2). Analyze the factors influencing the adoption rate of Shallot Cultivation Technology from Seeds in Lamposi Tigo Nagori District, Payakumbuh City. This study was conducted with a correlative descriptive survey method, namely collecting information from a selected sample representing a population of 95 respondents using the Likert Scale questionnaire as a data collection tool. The analysis tool uses multiple regression. The results of the research in the first objective showed that the adoption rate of onion cultivation technology from seeds in Lamposi Tigo Nagari district, Payakumbuh City, was in the moderate category with an interval of 50-77 percentage of respondents 62.1%. The results of the study on the second objective showed that the constant value (α) of 69,860 explained that if the variable Internal Characteristics of Farmers for the Social Dimension (X1), the characteristics of Innovation (X3) and Extension Support (X4) are assumed to be zero, then the Adoption Rate of TSS technology (Y) is worth a constant of 69,860 units. Abstract

This study examines the factors that influence the level of farmer adoption of the jajar legowo planting system in Kecamatan Batang Anai, Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. This research was conducted from April to June 2022 on 8 farmer groups that implemented the jajar legowo planting system in 2021. The objectives of this study were: to analyze the adoption rate of farmers towards the jajar legowo planting system in Kecamatan Batang Anai Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. This study uses a survey method with a quantitative approach in collecting data from a population of farmers who apply the jajar legowo planting system in 2021 with a sample of 112 farmers. The analytical tools used for this study were obtained from the calculation of the total score divided by the number of questions. Then the interval class was determined with the following details: (1) Not applying or low (15-35), (2) Partial or moderate (36-56), and (3) Applying completely or high (˃56). The results showed that the level of farmer adoption of the jajar legowo planting system in Kecamatan Batang Anai Kabupaten Padang Pariaman was assessed from the level of technical application of cultivation of the jajar legowo planting system recommended by the Center for the Study of Agricultural Technology in the medium category with 36-56 intervals which included the following activities: processing land, making plant rows, planting, fertilizing, weeding and controlling Plant Pest Organisms. Conclusions and recommendations From this research, education, cosmopolitan as an indicator of farmer characteristics variables need to be improved, one of which is by increasing farmers' knowledge through training and technical guidance and intensity of extension meetings with farmers, implementing group or individual extension methods and increasing farmers' ability to utilize and access information media

Abstract

This study aims to assess and analyze the class ability of farmer groups in Sijunjung District, West Sumatra. The research was conducted for three months, from September to November 2022 in farmer groups from 4 sub-districts: Sijunjung sub-districts, IV Nagari sub-districts, Koto VII sub-districts, and Tanjung Gadang sub-districts. The population of this research was all farmer groups in Sijunjung District. Furthermore, samples were randomly selected using the Slovin formula, and 92 samples were assessed using a questionnaire/assessment guide. Then the score of each group was calculated and grouped into four classes of farmer group abilities. The determination of respondents was proportional to the class level of the farmer group, namely beginner, advanced, intermediate, and main classes. Analysis of farmer group ability class referad to the guideline of farmer group class ability (Regulatory chief BPPSDMP : 168/Per/SM.170/J/11/11), namely assessment in planning, organizing, carrying out activities, controlling and reporting, and developing farmer group leadership. The results of calculating scores are grouped into several ability classes, which are then used for developing strategies like coaching, escorting, and mentoring. There ware: 28 farmer groups (30.4%) which were beginner class, 57 groups (62%) of advanced class, and seven groups of farmers (7.6%) were middle class. Mean while, there were no farmer groups in the main class. Regarding planning activities obtained a total score of 38.57; organizing activities of 54.28; the ability to carry out activities 37.52; activity reporting of 5.22; and developing the leadership of 11.51.
