Abstract

Currently, various sectors of life and organizations require the availability of computer networks and the internet to be able to provide faster and optimal services, one of which is the Small Office Home Office (SOHO). Internet access requires management so that the internet network can be allocated according to the needs of each field and requires cost calculations according to the ability of the organization. Linux ClearOS and Mikrotik are two operating system platforms commonly used for network management, including SOHO. The test was conducted in the form of a comparison between ClearOS Linux and Mikrotik in terms of cost, basic network capabilities (bandwidth manager, wifi, proxy, load balancing, user management), availability of security features, and additional device requirements. The test results show that for the same needs on SOHO, Linux ClearOS has advantages in terms of lower costs and complete features, so it is more recommended than Mikrotik

Abstract

The Communication and Informatics Agency of Gianyar Regency is responsible for providing information and services to the public through their official website. However, as with many organizations, they are faced with the challenge of ensuring optimal usability and quality of user experience. In this study, a usability evaluation of the official website of the Communication and Information Technology Office of Gianyar Regency was conducted using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method. The evaluation results show that their current website has a low level of usability with an average score of 45.28 (grade scale F). Furthermore, these results are used as a reference to provide a solution design to the problems faced using the Design Thinking approach. After that, testing the solution design that has been given to improve the website interface. The test results showed a significant improvement in usability, with an average score of 88.78 (grade scale A). This shows that the improvements and design changes that have been implemented have successfully improved the user experience and usability of the website of the Communication and Information Agency of Gianyar Regency.

Abstract

East Java Province has a high number of motorized vehicle losses with various modes of crime. There needs to be a system that can process the data to assist the decision-making process for law enforcement officers in investigating the crime of motor vehicle theft and reducing the amount of loss. For this reason, in this research, data processing of motor vehicle theft was carried out using Business Intelligence (BI) and displayed on the Power BI dashboard. The research methodology used is literature study, interviews, data collection, implementation, evaluation, and documentation. The test results show the highest number of vehicle theft cases occurred in 2016 (1,635 cases) with the most modes using fake keys, and with the highest vehicle brand being Honda. The final result of the study shows that the presentation of data and information visually and interactively based on Power BI can help law enforcers to understand data, obtain information, and make decisions and policies to handle motorcycle theft cases.
