Abstract

Cleaning and drying cocoa beans are generally done manually by farmers. The manual cleaning process takes a long time, and the pulp reduction is not optimal. In contrast, drying using sunlight takes a long time when it is done in the rainy season. This causes the cocoa beans to be moldy and have low sale value. In the equipment made by the factory, the two machines are made separately and are hardly affordable by the farmers. Based on these problems, a microcontroller-based cocoa bean dryer (de pulper) was designed with a single container so that both processes could be carried out using just one machine. To elaborate this system, cleaning is carried out on fermented cocoa beans that are pulp shed in a rotating cylinder. In comparison, the drying process is carried out by using a heat source, a soil moisture sensor to detect the moisture content of cocoa beans, a DS18B20 sensor to detect temperatures in the drying container, and a cylindrical container is rotated using an A.C. motor. Based on the experiment results, it takes 10 minutes to clean the cocoa beans from the pulp. The drying process takes 5 hours, 10 minutes, and 5 hours and 40 minutes to dry the cocoa beans to a maximum moisture content of 7%. A rotating drying container can speed up the drying process of cocoa beans compared to drying using sunlight in the rainy season. The proposed tool in this study can carry out more efficient capacity better than the conventional tool.

Abstract

Solar power plants (PLTS) are a source of electrical energy that will never run out and will not damage the environment. PLTS is an alternative energy source when an electricity supply has not reached an area or has no commonly used power generation source, such as gas or water. In PLTS, solar panels are devices that need to be considered to maintain the performance of solar panels on PLTS. Several things must be considered, as solar panels must be protected from dust and dirt that can block sunlight. Solar panels should also not dry themselves after being wet with water because there will be traces of water left behind. Moisture on the surface of solar cells significantly reduces cell performance due to the disruption of the absorption and refraction of sunlight. To overcome this problem, the author proposes to design a system that can monitor the absorption of power carried out by solar panels and perform maintenance on solar panels in the form of cleaning from dust and dirt automatically and helping to dry after the rain subsides on the surface of solar panels. This system is integrated with the website so that officers can monitor through the monitoring website interface. This designed system can optimize power absorption on solar panels and help officers know the results of power absorption by solar panels.

Abstract

The problem that occurs in Sanjai Tourism Village is inadequate internet access. Internet access is fundamental nowadays, both in daily activities and in the context of promotional activities for Tourism Villages to attract visitors. One of the aspects of assessing the Indonesian Tourism Village Award is digital creativity. To make this happen, it is necessary to have internet access that everyone can enjoy, including the community, visitors, and the Tourism Village group (Pokdarwis) in the Sanjai Tourism Village. Therefore, in Community Service activities, a Wi-Fi Coin system was designed to improve internet access in the Sanjai Tourism Village. The Wi-Fi Coin System uses coins to access the internet. In addition, the Wi-Fi Coin system can be portable for use in the desired location. The method used consists of three stages: preparation consisting of a survey and needs analysis to obtain data on community needs, especially the Sanjai Tourism Village Pokdarwis. The implementation consists of system design, testing, and implementation. System design and testing were carried out at the Unand Computer Engineering Department. Meanwhile, the implementation was done directly before the Pokdarwis team and the Village Community. Trials and equipment handover to the Sanjai Tourism Village Pokdarwis marked the activity results.

Abstract

The use of technology is fundamental in the digital era. Adjustment and transformation are essential activities to keep up with technological developments. One of the uses of technology is product marketing and promotion. Sanjai Tourism Village, located in Bukittinggi City, is one of the villages where marketing and promotion of tourism products are still carried out using conventional promotional methods such as through newspapers, radio advertisements, posters, and distribution of brochures. This method is still limited and cannot reach a broader scope. Therefore, to compete in the digital era, there needs to be a transformation of promotion and marketing of tourism products through the internet media using a website. Information about promoting and marketing tourism products can be done digitally and online using a website. The results of advertising and marketing tourism village products by utilizing the website can be spread and known to the public with a broader reach. Therefore, in the community service activities of the Unand Computer Engineering Department, the Sanjai Tourism Village website was built with a method consisting of several stages, such as coordination, surveys, design, website implementation, improvement, and submission of the website to Sanjai Tourism Village. Each stage has been carried out, and a website has been produced with features such as a homepage, profile, tourism products of various fields, news and activities, and contacts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan arsitektur bisnis berbasis TOGAF guna mendukung penjaminan mutu proses pembelajaran di Fakultas Teknologi Informasi, Universitas Andalas. Fokus penelitian terletak pada pemetaan proses pembelajaran, identifikasi kesenjangan, dan rancangan model untuk perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi pembelajaran yang terintegrasi. Metode yang digunakan meliputi studi dokumen, wawancara, dan pemodelan proses menggunakan Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model yang dihasilkan mampu mendukung penyusunan kurikulum berbasis capaian pembelajaran, pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan integrasi teknologi, serta evaluasi berbasis data yang memungkinkan perbaikan berkelanjutan. Model ini juga memenuhi standar nasional dan internasional dengan menekankan keterlibatan multi-pihak, termasuk industri, dalam proses pembelajaran. Kesenjangan yang diidentifikasi meliputi kurang optimalnya keterlibatan pemangku kepentingan eksternal, penggunaan teknologi pembelajaran, dan konsistensi evaluasi pembelajaran.. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam menciptakan proses pembelajaran yang lebih efektif, efisien, dan relevan dengan kebutuhan pasar kerja serta standar mutu global. Hal ini tercermin dari hasil pemodelan menggunakan BPMN yang memetakan secara rinci tiga tahapan utama proses pembelajaran, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi, serta sub-proses terkait seperti penyusunan kurikulum dan RPS, pelaksanaan pembelajaran, hingga asesmen dan umpan balik mahasiswa.

Abstract

The increase in motorcycle theft cases has become a serious concern. This research aims to design a motorcycle parking security system through a website in response to this challenge. The system uses a website accessible via smartphones using QR code. Users scan the provided QR code to access the website, where they will be prompted to enter a password that functions as a controller for the locking and unlocking process of the motorcycle's front wheel using a servo motor. Furthermore, to detect forced removal attempts, the system is equipped with an alarm that notifies the parking attendant. This alarm will be activated if vibrations above 20 cm/s2 are detected and will be accompanied by a buzzer sound as a danger signal. Based on the results of the study, this system can work well and produce the appropriate output as previously designed with a success percentage of 91% and the servo motor as a motorcycle safety device can work to lock the front tire of a motorcycle that has a tire tread width of 90 mm according to with what was previously defined

Abstract

This study aims to develop the Rumah Moderasi (Moderation House) Information System at STAIN Bengkalis as a platform for information services and reporting, intended to strengthen religious moderation within the campus environment. The research employs the Research and Development (R&D) method using the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The system is designed to facilitate lecturers and students in accessing information and reporting indications of radicalism online. The test results show that the system has a positive impact in enhancing services and reinforcing values of tolerance and religious moderation in the academic setting. The implementation of this system is expected to encourage the creation of an inclusive, tolerant campus environment that is free from radical ideologies.

Abstract

Gabah adalah hasil tanaman padi yang telah dipisahkan dari tangkainya dengan cara perontokan. Kualitas dari gabah dapat diukur dari kadar air, warna, dan berat dari gabah sehingga proses pengeringan dan penyimpanan menjadi perhatian utama untuk menghasilkan gabah dengan nilai jual tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem yang mampu membantu dalam proses pengeringan dan penyimpanan gabah dengan menggunakan ESP32, Sensor DHT22 aplikasi Android, dan pengontrolan dengan menggunakan logika fuzzy. Sistem ini terdiri mode pengeringan (drying) dan mode penyimpanan (storage) yang dikendalikan dengan aplikasi Android. Pada mode drying sistem akan membantu dalam proses pengeringan gabah. Lalu pada mode storage, sistem menerapkan perhitungan fuzzy untuk mengendalikan keluaran tegangan ke heater dan kipas berdasarkan suhu dan kelembapan yang dibaca oleh sensor. Hasil pembacaan sensor, lama penyimpanan, perhitungan dari logika fuzzy ini nantinya juga akan ditampilkan pada aplikasi Android yang bernama Contrapp.
