Abstract

The causal relationships among organizational justice, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment have long been investigated by scholars, academicians, and researchers. However, the researches in this field have poor evident due to structural model of the causality. The main goal of this research is to test the conceptual model of the relationships among organizational justice, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment, beyond the linear relationships that have investigated in the previous researches. Survey methods using questionnaire adopted for getting primary data from the respondents who are the faculty members of public and private universities in Bengkulu Provinces. Two-hundred-and-seventy-seven out of 321 respondents completed 54 item questionnaires distributed. Data were analyzed by Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Results showed that the conceptual model of the relationships among organizational justice, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment has the reasonable goodness of fit. Furthermore, results also provide the strong evident that organizational justice positively affect the job satisfaction and organizational commitment; and job satisfaction positively affect the organizational commitment.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of P-J fit and perceived organizational support on task performance mediated by innovative behavior. This study provides empirical evidence regarding the role of innovation in increasing the fit between a person and his work and organizational support in improving task performance. The population of this study is civil servants who work in the Bengkulu Provincial Government, one of the largest province in West Part of Indonesia. The number of respondents taken amounted to 155 people. This study uses the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM ) method using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method with SmartPLS software application version 3.0. The study concludes that P-J fit positively affects organizational commitment and task performance based on the research conducted. The perceived support factor from the organization also affects innovative behavior and task performance. In a mediating relationship, P-J fit mediated by creative behavior will affect task performance. However, this study found that the ties built by P-J fit on task performance directly had a more significant effect than when mediated by innovative behavior. Organizational support mediated by creative behavior also improves task performance, although not as big as the direct effect of organizational support on employee performance. This research also contributes to the development of social exchange theory by using the innovation factor as a supporter.

Abstract

The existence of the internet can help activities in running a company, and it is very useful for improving internal and external communication, and also able to strive for more efficient services. So that internet usage has become an unavoidable need. However, it is still much more employees use the internet that has nothing to do with work, called cyberloafing behavior. The current study intend to investigate the dynamic of employee’s role in the work place, such as role conflict, role ambiguity, role ove rload, and its relation to the cyberloafing. The goal of the research is to test the effect of role conflict, role ambiguity, and role overload on cyberloafing. Eighty employees from a private company located in Bengkulu city choosen as sample frame of the research. The Multiple Regression Analysis was employed to test theresearch hypotheses. The research conluded that role conflict and role ambiguity affect the cyberloafing behavior positively, while the role overload affect the cyberloafing behavior negatively

Abstract

Objectives: According to the holistic personality theory, the purpose of this study in general is to investigate the relationship between personality and competence in predicting the performance of the Regional Inspectorate Government Internal Supervisory Apparatus (APIP).Methodology: To investigate the relationship between variables, a survey of 180 respondents was conducted at 11 inspectorates in Bengkulu province. There were 123 auditors and 57 supervisors for local government administration among those who responded. Extroversion, neurotic, conscientiousness, openness, agreeableness, cognitive competence, emotional, social, generic, and supervisory performance are all investigated in this study. The structural equation model and the Sobel test were used to investigate the relationship between these variables. The model was created through an analysis of four new personality types, namely average, calm, selfish, and role models. This study discovered a link between personality and cognitive competence, cognitive competence and generic competence, and generic competence and supervisor performance.Finding: According to the findings, cognitive competence mediates the relationship between personality and generic competence, and generic competence mediates the relationship between cognitive competence and supervisor performance. Furthermore, it was discovered that the role model's personality has a positive effect on employees' cognitive competence.Conclusion: Inspectorate institution should improve its generic competence. The inspectorate must also engage in activities that promote cognitive competence, such as special training. The inspectorate must also plan training to improve employees' lack of personality.

Abstract

To improve the quality of education in SMA Muhammadiyah 4 Bengkulu City, the main focus must be on improving the performance of its human resources. Among them are terms Intellectual Intelligence (IQ) and Emotional Intelligence (EQ). The purpose of this study is to see the influence of intellectual intelligence (IQ) partially on performance, the effect of emotional intelligence (EQ) on performance, and the effect of intellectual intelligence (IQ) and emotional intelligence (EQ) simultaneously on performance. The population in this study were 43 educators (teachers) and education staff at SMA Muhammadiyah 4 Bengkulu City. This research uses multiple linear regression analysis methods. Methods of data collection using a questionnaire. The results of hypothesis testing indicate that Intellectual Intelligence (IQ) has a positive and significant effect on Performance, Emotional Intelligence (EQ) has a positive and significant effect on Performance. And Intellectual Intelligence (IQ) and Emotional Intelligence (EQ) have a positive and significant effect simultaneously on performance.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of leadership and discipline and competence on employee job satisfaction and organizational commitment at the Regional Disaster Management Agency in Bengkulu Province. The type of this research was a quantitative descriptive study. In this research, there were 112 employees on duty at BPBD in Bengkulu Province. The sample technique was by means of a census with a total sample of 112 people. The data analysis method used includes data quality test (validity test and reliability test). The analytical technique used SEM (Structural Equation Modeling). Research results 1) Leadership has no effect on job satisfaction at the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) in Bengkulu Province where the t-count (0.28) < 1.96. It means that changes that occur in the leadership in the Bengkulu Province BPBD do not cause changes in employee job satisfaction. 2). Discipline has no effect on job satisfaction at the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) in Bengkulu Province where the t-count (0.90) < 1.96. 3) Competence has an effect on job satisfaction at the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) in Bengkulu Province where the t-count value (2.48) > 1.96. 4) Leadership has no effect on commitment to the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) in Bengkulu Province, where the t-count value (-0.0082) < 1.96. 5) Discipline has no effect on job satisfaction at the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) in Bengkulu Province where the t-count (0.93) < 1.96. 6). Competence affects organizational commitment at the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) in Bengkulu Province where the t-count value (2.12) > 1.96. 7). Job satisfaction has an effect on organizational commitment to the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) in Bengkulu Province. It means that the higher the job satisfaction of employees in BPBD Bengkulu Province where the t-count value (13.73) > 1.96. Keywords: Leadership, Discipline, Competence, Job Satisfaction, Commitment Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh kepemimpinan dan kedisiplinan serta kompetensi terhadap kepuasan kerja pegawai dan komitmen organisasi pada Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah Provinsi Bengkulu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Dalam penelitian ini terdapat 112 pegawai yang bertugas di BPBD Provinsi Bengkulu. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan cara sensus dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 112 orang. Metode analisis data yang digunakan meliputi uji kualitas data (uji validitas dan uji reliabilitas). Teknik analisis menggunakan SEM (Structural Equation Modelling). Hasil penelitian 1) Kepemimpinan tidak berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan kerja pada Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) Provinsi Bengkulu dimana t hitung (0,28) < 1,96. Artinya perubahan yang terjadi pada kepemimpinan di BPBD Provinsi Bengkulu tidak menyebabkan perubahan kepuasan kerja pegawai. 2). Disiplin tidak berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan kerja pada Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) Provinsi Bengkulu dimana t hitung (0,90) < 1,96. 3) Kompetensi berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan kerja pada Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) Provinsi Bengkulu dimana nilai thitung (2,48) > 1,96. 4) Kepemimpinan tidak berpengaruh terhadap komitmen Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) Provinsi Bengkulu, dimana nilai thitung (-0,0082) < 1,96. 5) Disiplin tidak berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan kerja pada Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) Provinsi Bengkulu dimana t hitung (0,93) < 1,96. 6). Kompetensi berpengaruh terhadap komitmen organisasi pada Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) Provinsi Bengkulu dimana nilai thitung (2,12) > 1,96. 7). Kepuasan kerja berpengaruh terhadap komitmen organisasi pada Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) Provinsi Bengkulu. Abstract

Researchers are interested in researching the performance of health workers in the new normal era of the Covid-19 pandemic in terms of competence and job satisfaction. Research also examines the role of OCB as an intervening variable, where in previous studies, OCB was placed in the position of the dependent variable. The data used in this study is primary data obtained from the results of distributing questionnaires to respondents using offline dissemination techniques which were distributed to the Covid-19 task force personnel in Bengkulu City consisting of doctors and non-doctors. The sample used in the analysis was 345 people taken by cluster sampling technique. The data analysis method used is descriptive analysis and SEM-PLS analysis. The results of the study show that: (1) Competence significantly influences the OCB of the Covid-19 task force health workers in Bengkulu City; (2) Job satisfaction has a significant effect on the OCB of the Covid-19 task force health workers in Bengkulu City; (3) OCB has a significant effect on the task performance of the Covid-19 task force health workers in Bengkulu City; (4) OCB mediates the effect of competence on the task performance of the Covid-19 task force health workers in Bengkulu City; and (5) OCB mediates the effect of job satisfaction on the task performance of health workers in the Covid-19 task force in Bengkulu City. The data used in this study is primary data obtained from the results of distributing questionnaires to employees of the Department of Population and Civil Registration of North Bengkulu Regency. The sample used in the analysis is 79 people taken by census technique. The data analysis method used is descriptive analysis and SEM analysis with PLS procedures. The results showed that: (1) Role conflict and role ambiguity had a significant effect on employee burnout at the Department of Population and Civil Registration of North Bengkulu Regency. (2) Role conflict has no significant effect on the performance of the Population and Civil Registration Office of North Bengkulu Regency. (3) Role ambiguity has a significant effect on the performance of the employees of the Department of Population and Civil Registration of North Bengkulu Regency. (4) Burnout has a significant effect on the performance of the Population and Civil Registration Office of North Bengkulu Regency. Suggestions that can be given from this research are: (1) Can be considered for the management of the Dukcapil Office of North Bengkulu Regency in improving employee performance through handling role conflicts and role ambiguity that affect burnout and ultimately affect the performance of employees who are concerned. Efforts that can be made to improve performance and reduce burnout are to divide tasks and functions clearly, establish two-way communication to establish a harmonious cooperative relationship between fellow employees and (2) Can be a consideration for employees of the Dukcapil Office of North Bengkulu Regency in carrying out tasks so that it runs effectively through the minimization of role conflict, role ambiguity and burnout. By improving these three things, it is expected that employee performance can be improved. Keywords: Role Conflict, Role Ambiguity, Burnout and Performance. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kinerja dan mengurangi burnout adalah dengan membagi tugas dan fungsi secara jelas, menjalin komunikasi dua arah untuk menjalin hubungan kerjasama yang harmonis antar sesama pegawai dan (2) Dapat menjadi bahan pertimbangan bagi pegawai Kantor Dukcapil Bengkulu Utara Kabupaten dalam menjalankan tugas agar berjalan efektif melalui minimalisasi konflik peran, ambiguitas peran dan burnout. Abstract

Abstract : Work motivation has an important role in an organization, because with high work motivation it will increase work productivity for employees in carrying out their duties. The factors that influence work motivation are: human needs, compensation factors, communication factors, leadership factors, training factors, factors achievement. The leadership factor is one of the factors that affect the morale of the employees. The aims of this study are 1) To examine the effect of servant leadership and spiritual leadership together on employee motivation at the UPTD PPD office in Kepahiang Regency. 2) To examine the influence of servant leadership on employee work motivation at the UPTD PPD office in Kepahiang Regency. 3) To examine the influence of spiritual leadership on employee work motivation at the UPTD PPD office in Kepahiang Regency. The conclusions in this study are as follows: 1) The results of the study prove that servant leadership and spiritual leadership have a positive and significant effect on work motivation at the UPTD PPD Office, Kepahiang Regency by 48.3%, meaning that by applying servant leadership and spiritual leadership styles at the UPTD PPD Office Kepahiang Regency can increase work motivation and if the leadership always pays attention to and applies servant leadership and spiritual leadership styles, work motivation will continue to increase. 2) The results of the study prove that servant leadership has a positive and significant effect on work motivation at the UPTD PPD Office in Kepahiang Regency by 22.8%, meaning that by applying the servant leadership style at the UPTD PPD Kepahiang Office, it can increase work motivation and if the leadership always pays attention and applies this style. servant leadership, work motivation will continue to increase. 3) The results of the study prove that spiritual leadership has a positive and significant effect on work motivation at the UPTD PPD Office in Kepahiang Regency by 54.3%, meaning that by applying the spiritual leadership style at the UPTD PPD Kepahiang Office, it can increase work motivation and if the leadership always pays attention and applies this style. spiritual leadership, work motivation will continue to increase. Keywords: Servant Leadership, Spiritual Leadership, Work Motivation Abstrak : Tujuan penelitian ini adalah 1) Untuk menguji pengaruh servant leadership dan spiritual leadership secara bersama-sama terhadap motivasi kerja pegawai pada kantor UPTD PPD Kabupaten Kepahiang. 2) Untuk menguji pengaruh servant leadership terhadap motivasi kerja pegawai pada kantor UPTD PPD Kabupaten Kepahiang. 3) Untuk menguji pengaruh spiritual leadership terhadap motivasi kerja pegawai pada kantor UPTD PPD Kabupaten Kepahiang. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, Populasi pegawai pada kantor UPTD PPD Kabupaten Kepahiang. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah nonprobability sampling dengan sampling jenuh kepada seluruh pegawai pada Kantor UPTD PPD Kepahiang yang tidak mempunyai jabatan struktural tertentu sebanyak 135 pegawai. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa servant leadership dan spiritual leadership berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi kerja di Kantor UPTD PPD Kabupaten Kepahiang sebesar 48.3 % artinya bahwa dengan menerapkan gaya servant leadership dan spiritual leadership di Kantor UPTD PPD Kabupaten Kepahiang dapat meningkatkan motivasi kerja dan jika pimpinan selalu memperhatikan dan menerapkan gaya servant leadership dan spiritual leadership maka motivasi kerja akan terus meningkat. 2) Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa servant leadership berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi kerja di Kantor UPTD PPD Kabupaten Kepahiang sebesar 22.8 % artinya bahwa dengan menerapkan gaya servant leadership di Kantor UPTD PPD Kabupaten Kepahiang dapat meningkatkan motivasi kerja dan jika pimpinan selalu memperhatikan dan menerapkan gaya servant leadership maka motivasi kerja akan terus meningkat. 3) Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa spiritual leadership berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi kerja di Kantor UPTD PPD Kabupaten Kepahiang sebesar 54.3 % artinya bahwa dengan menerapkan gaya spiritual leadership di Kantor UPTD PPD Kabupaten Kepahiang dapat meningkatkan motivasi kerja dan jika pimpinan selalu memperhatikan dan menerapkan gaya spiritual leadership maka motivasi kerja akan terus meningkat.
