Abstract

The purposes of this research was to describe the interest and achievement of mathematics in student D seventh grade junior high school Muhammadiyah 1 Wonosari using TSTS (Two Stay Two Stray). This research is Class Action Research (CAR). The technique of data done by questionnaire, tests and documentation. The results of research that the interest and achievement of mathematics is increased. The average percentage of student interest questionnaire at pre-cycle was 73,25%, became 73,32% at cycle I, and became 74,33% at cycle II. Average of achievement at pre-cycle 43,08 , 55,81 at the first cycle, and 63,13 at the second cycle. So, teachers can implement cooperative learning TSTS type as a variation of learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the correlation between students perception of teacher’s teaching ability, being active learning and learning motivation with the results of mathematics learning either independently or jointly. The population in this research is the entire students grade VIII SMPN 2 Salam, with a sample of 92 students taken by cluster random sampling. Analytical techniques multiple regression analysis resumed partial correlation with requirment of normality and linierity. Based on the results of the research, R =0,267, meaning that there was a positive correlation between students perception of teacher’s teaching ability, being active learning and learning motivation with the results of mathematics. ry1-23 is 0,261 meaning that there was a positive correlation between students perception of teacher’s teaching ability with the results of mathematics learning, ry2-13 is 0,288 meaning that there was a positive correlation between being active learning with the results of mathematics learning, that there was a positive correlation between learning motivation with the results of mathematics learning.

Abstract

the aim of this research was to describe about teaching learning process using Cooperative Think Pair Share (TPS) to increase student’s active and study result to the VIIIB grade student’s at Taman Dewasa Ibu Pawiyatan Yogyakarta. The hypothesis of this research was applying Cooperative Think Pair Share (TPS) could increase student’s active and student’s study result. This research was Classroom Action Research (CAR) collaboratively. The research result showed that after applying Cooperative Think Pair Share (TPS) in teaching learning process, the student’s active increasing. Before this research the students were passive to listen to the teacher’s explanation but after this research the students were more active to ask and discuss in group. Means student’s score increased, first 53,07 score, increasing in first cycle was 64,86 and increasing second cycle was 74,65. From the result above, it showed that Cooperative Think Pair Share (TPS) could increase student’s active and study result.

Abstract

The general objectives of this research are: (1) cooperative learning model is more effective to use between TGT and NHT, (2) the effect learning activity to student’s achievement, (3) there is an interaction between learning models and learning activity to learning achievement of mathematics. This is a quasi-experimental research.  The research populations are the seven grade of SMP 9 Yogyakarta in Academic Year 2013/2014. Samples are taken with cluster random sampling technique obtained experimental class I and experimental class II. The data were obtained through test and questionnaire. The test instrument used test of item validity and test of reliability. In the analysis of data, the researcher used two-way analysis of variance test for using requirements analysis are normality and homogeneity tests. The results show that the value of FA = 24.364 > Ftable  = 4.00; FB = 209.683 >  Ftable = 3.15; and FAB = 0.664 <  Ftable = 3.15 which means that all of the hypotheses are accepted.  The result of the study showed TGT is more effective to be used than NHT, high learning activities give the best achievement of mathematics means that learning activities will give an effect to the students’ achievement, there is no interaction between learning model and learning activity on the learning achievement of mathematics means that on each learning activity levels (high, medium, low) mathematics achievement of TGT is always better than NHT, as well as on each learning model (TGT, NHT) mathematics achievement of high learning activities is always better than mathematics achievement of medium and low learning activity.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to find out correlate between beginning skill, learning pattern and background of parents education with mathematics learning achievement on 7th grade students at the whole district of Karangpucung, region of Cilacap at 2013/2014 academic year. The population in this research were all students of  7th grade students at the whole district of Karangpucung, region of Cilacap at 2013/2014 academic year and the samples taken at cluster random sampling with amont 130 students. Data collection method used was a documentation, a questionnaire and a test technique. The result showed the Sig = 0,000 < 0,05 for mayor hipotesis. Meanwhile, the result of minor hipotesis showed the Sig = 0,001<0,05; Sig = 0,000<0,05; and Sig = 0,020<0,05. So, there is correlate between beginning skill, learning pattern and background of parents education with mathematics learning achievement on 7th grade students at the whole district of Karangpucung, region of Cilacap at 2013/2014 academic year as collective and partial. It is expected that students care about beginning skill, learning pattern to mathematics learning achievement increasingly.

Abstract

The Implementation of Active Knowledge Sharing Strategies to Increase Students' Interest and Achievement Math High School of Tenth grade students of SMA PIRI 1 Yogyakarta in Academic Year 2013/1014. This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted collaboratively. The subjects in this study are The tenth grade students of SMA PIRI 1 Yogyakarta, amounting to 26 students. While the object is interested in mathematics learning and achievement gained from the application of Active Knowledge Sharing learning. The results showed that the interest and the achievement of learning math by using the Active Learning Strategies of Knowledge Sharing have increased. This is indicated by an increase in the average yield percentage interest in learning math sheet observation on Pre cycle 1 increased by 51.92% 62.18% in the first cycle and 78.21% in the second cycle. Interest in learning mathematics questionnaire sheet for each cycle, ie at pre cycle student interest at 63.28% increased to 72.47% in the first cycle, and increased in the second cycle becomes 84.37%. In addition, the average value of student achievement has increased the percentage pre cycle completeness of 55.15 with 23.08% (6 students) increased to 64.20 with the percentage of completeness 50.00% (13 students) in the first cycle, while the second cycle increased to 79.41 with the percentage of completeness 76.92% (20 students). Given the Active Knowledge Sharing strategy could increase interest and achievement of learning mathematics teachers should implement these strategies in teaching learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to improve the motivation and learning achievement in mathematic of student of class VIII D SMP N 2 Sedayu using cooperatif learning type teams accelerated instructions (TAI). The subjects of this research was student of class VIII D SMP N 2 Sedayu totaling 32 student. The object of this research was learning motivation and mathematic learning achievement. The result showed that after application of using cooperatif learning type teams accelerated instructions (TAI) in class VIII D SMP N 2 Sedayu, learning motivation and mathematic learning achievement of student has increased. This was indicated by an increase in the result percentage average learning motivation score of 49,63% in the pre-action, whereas at the first cycle improves with average percentage 65,25%. In the second cycle improve to 78,94%. Mathematic learning achievement of student also increased. At the beginning of the test the ability of students who meet the KKM is 37,50%. In the first cycle, the persentage increased to 56,25%. In the second cycle the percentage increased to 71,88%.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to improve the motivation and learning in mathematic of student of class VIII C MTs Darul Qur’an Wonosari with cooperative learning type Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS). Type Classroom Action Research. The subjects of this research was student of class VIII C MTs Darul Qur’an Wonosari totaling 25 student. The object of this research was motivation and mathematics learning yield. Techniques of data collection is using observation, tests, questionnair and documentation. The results after application of TSTS models, motivation and mathematics learning yield has increased. This is indicated by the average percentage of angket result of student learning motivation by 67,17% pre-cycle, the first cycle of 80,98%, and 89.79% in the second cycle. Results of students mathematics learning yield test, the average value of mathematics learning yield at 52,40 pre cycle, the first cycle increased to 71,14 and the second cycle increased to 81,50.

Abstract

Efforts to improve creativity and X.1 class student achievement through learning model Intellectually Auditory Repetition (AIR) SMA Negeri 1 Moga, Pemalang. This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects in this study were grade students X.1 of SMA Negeri 1 Moga , amounting to 36 students. Data collection techniques in this study with observations to determine the creativity of students in learning, a questionnaire to obtain data on student creativity, engineering tests to obtain data on student achievement, technical documentation for the data reinforce the observation results. The trials used to test the instrument test item, whereas the observation sheet used to determine the level of creativity of students. Data analysis techniques for observation sheet was conducted to determine students' creativity, while learning mathematics achievement tests done by calculating the average value of the class. The results showed that after learning model applied Intellectually Auditory Repettition (AIR), creativity and learning mathematics achievement increased. This can be shown by an increase in the average yield percentage creativity of student learning based on observation sheet for each cycle is the pre-cycle for 34.26% of student creativity, the creativity of the students first cycle of 45.36%, for the second cycle of 63.43 %. While the average value of learning mathematics achievement of students increased from an average initial value of 50.42 into a 77.59 in the first cycle andthe second cycle becomes 83.50. Given Repetitin Intellectually Auditory learning model (AIR) to encourage the creativity of students and also to improve the achievement of students learning mathematics. It is expected that schools can implement the model lesson.

Abstract

The purpose of the research was to find out correlate between learn time management, motivation to learn, and learning facilities with mathematics learning achievement on 8th  grade students at the whole district of Danurejan Yogyakarta. The genre of this research is descriptive researchment. The population in this research were all students of 8th grade students at the whole district of Danurejan Yogyakarta with amount 593 students and the samples taken at proportional random sampling with amount 113 students. Data collection method used was a questionannaire and a test technique. Analysis using descriptive analysis of data, multiple regression, and partial correlation. In the major hypothesis test is obtained R = 0,747 and R2 = 0,558 with sig=0,000 < 0,05. Then in the first minor hypothesis test is obtained ry1-23 = 0,443 with         sig=0,000 < 0,05; the second minor hypothesis test is obtained ry2-13 = 0,370 with sig=0,000 < 0,05; and the minor third hypothesis test is obtained ry3-12 = 0,344 with sig=0,000 < 0,05. So there is a positive and significant correlation between learning time management, motivation to learn, and learning facilities with mathematics learning achievement on 8th grade students at the whole district of Danurejan Yogyakarta as collective and partial. It is expected that students care about learning time management, motivation to learn, and learning facilities to  mathematics learning achievement increasingly.
