Abstract

It is a direct and responsible service to patients in the pharmaceutical field, which aims to enhance the quality of life of patients by attaining certain goals. Satisfaction is a result of how people perceive their own and others' performances. The performance of the health services received by new patients will be pleased if it meets or surpasses their expectations, and patient disappointment or discontent will develop if the performance of the health services received does not meet their expectations. The purpose of this research was to find out whether there was a link between patient satisfaction at H. Adam Malik Hospital and the quality of the pharmaceutical services provided. Researchers at Medan's Haji Adam Malik Hospital used cross-sectional survey analysis to examine the link between the independent and dependent variables, namely, the quality of pharmaceutical services provided and patient satisfaction. Aromatherapy wind oil preparations using small white ginger essential oil (Zingiber officinale Roscoe) concentrations of 4%, 5%, and 6% meet the criteria, the organoleptic test is a light yellow, clear liquid, had a distinctive smell and felt warm, homogeneity, the wind oil pH test is 6, the irritation test was non-existent, and the hedonic test was successful. Outpatient satisfaction with pharmaceutical services at H. Adam Malik Hospital Medan was shown to be associated with the quality of pharmaceutical services, according to the study's findings.

Until now, antibiotics are still the mainstay of medicine in handling infectious disease cases. Antibiotics can be defined as compounds produced by various types of microorganisms (bacteria, fungi, actinomycetes) which can suppress the growth of other microorganisms. Postoperative is the postoperative period that starts when the patient is transferred to the recovery room and ends until the next evaluation. This research was conducted in the post-surgery room of H. Adam Malik Hospital Medan. This research objective is evaluation of antibiotic treatment in post-surgical RB2B patients at H. Adam Malik Hospital Medan. This type of research is non-experimental, quantitative descriptive that conducted at RB2B of H. Adam Malik Hospital Medan from May - September 2019. The sample was all post-surgical patients in RB2B who used antibiotics, amounted to 95 patients. Based on the research conducted, there were 4 groups of antibiotics treatment in Post- Surgery RB2B. The 4 groups namely Cephalosporins, Carbapenems, Nitroimidazoles and Quinolones. The most widely used postoperative antibiotic (RB2B) was Ceftriaxone, totalling 86 vials. Then followed by infusion of Metronidazole and 44 tablets. Then in the third place, the most used is Meropenem, as many as 13 vials. Followed by the use of cefotaxime and ciprofloxacin, 6. each. And finally, the least use, namely: Cefoperazone inj as many as 5 vials. Abstract

Dense activity and with increasing age experienced by each community, is one of the causes of decreased sleep quality and trigger sleep disorders. The use of medicinal plants is increasingly in the community such as Sensistive plant leaves. This study aims to determine the sensitive plants and to know the comparison of the work activities of the sensitive plants leaves with a deep sleep. This research was an experimental study with a complete random design in a unidirectional pattern. Test animals used 15 male mice, divided into 5 groups randomly consisting of 3 animals. First Group was given a 0.5% CMC suspension, Second group was given a deep suspension, Third group was given an sensitive plants leaves extract with 5% concentration, fourth group was given an sensitive plants leaves extract of 10% concentration, fifth group was given an sensitive plants leaves extract of 20%. Data obtained by Anova test, followed by Duncan's different test to see the real difference in each experimental group. Administration of sensitive plants leaves extract of 5% leaves did not make a significant difference with sleep, but at a concentration of 10%, 20% gave a significant difference with sedative test on mice that were given a deep sleep. Suspension of sensitive plants leave has a sedative effect on mice, at a concentration of 10%, 20% has the same sedative effect as deep sleep, and research needs to be done on other parts of the sensitive plants leaves that has a stronger sedative effect.
