Abstract

Pendahuluan; Ibu hamil memerlukan terapi obat untuk mengatasi gangguan kesehatan yang dideritanya dan obat pada ibu hamil patut mendapatkan perhatian karena dapat mempengaruhi janin. Tujuan; mengetahui jumlah penggunaan obat pada pasien ibu hamil dan kategori resiko terhadap janin berdasarkan kategori FDA. Metode; Dilakukan dengan retrospective observation, yaitu mengumpulkan data pasien rawat jalan ibu hamil di RSUD Kotapinang dilakukan pada bulan Juni-Juli 2018. Hasil; Berdasarkan 150 pasien ibu hamil yang tidak diiringi penyakit menggunakan 2 jenis obat 79 pasien (64,75%). Pasien ibu hamil yang diiringi penyakit menggunakan 1 jenis obat 9 pasien (32,14 %). Golongan obat yang diresepkan pada ibu hamil yaitu vitamin sebanyak 100 (33,33%)  antianemia 84 (25,22%). Kategori obat yang digunakan berdasarkan resiko terhadap janin adalah kategori A 183 (54,95%). Kesimpulan; Penggunaan obat pada pasien ibu hamil di RSUD Kotapinang  dengan rata-rata keseluruhan pasien yang tidak diiringi penyakit 1,96  dan pasien yang diiringi penyakit 3,2 jenis obat, golongan obat yang digunakan paling banyak obat vitamin 100 (33,33%). Peresepan obat yang paling banyak di gunakan berdasarkan kategori FDA adalah A 183 (54,95%).

Abstract

Penggunaan body scrub merupakan salah satu perawatan kulit untuk mengangkat sel- sel kulit mati akibat radikal bebas, labu kuning merupakan salah satu tanaman yang banyak mengandung beta karoten serta vitamin C dan E yang berfungsi sebagai antioksidan alami untuk menangkal radikal bebas pada kulit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat formulasi sediaan krim body scrub yang mengandung sari labu kuning (Cucurbita moschata). Sari labu kuning diformulasikan dalam variasi konsentrasi 10%, 15% dan 20%. Evaluasi formula krim body scrub yang dilakukan meliputi uji homogenitas, organoleptis, pH, stabilitas menggunakan metode cycling test, uji iritasi pada kulit, dan efektivitas pada kulit dengan mengamati kemampuan menghaluskan kulit dan meningkatkan kadar air pada kulit dengan menggunakan perangkat skin analyzer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sediaan krim body scrub sari labu kuning (Cucurbita moschata) homogen saat difomulasikan, memiliki bentuk, warna, tidak berubah setelah pengujian stabilitas dengan metode cycling test, dan mempunyai nilai pH yang memenuhi persyaratan pH kulit, serta tidak menimbulkan iritasi pada kulit sukarelawan. Sediaan yang dengan konsentrasi sari labu kuning 20% (F3) memiliki efektivitas paling mendekati kontrol positif yaitu mampu memperbaiki kehalusan kulit (evenness) hingga 50,00% dan meningkatkan kadar air (moisture) hingga 46,33%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah sari labu kuning (Cucurbita moschata) dapat diformulasikan dalam bentuk sediaan krim body scrub yang stabil dan mampu memperbaiki kondisi kulit yang kasar menjadi lebih baik.

Abstract

Hypertension is a cardiovascular disease with a high prevalence and risk of death in developed and developing countries with blood pressure reach ≥140/90 mmHg. Hypertension is the 3rd cause of death after stroke and tuberculosis, reached 6.7% of the population of deaths at all ages in Indonesia. Results of Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) Balitbangkes showed that the national prevalence of hypertension reached 31.7%. The National Formulary (Fornas) is a list of drugs compiled based on the latest scientific evidence by the National Committee for the Compilation of the Fornas. Evaluation of the appropriateness of antihypertensive treatments in outpatients at Batang Beruh Health Centre Sidikalang seen from the National Formulary was the aim of this study. This research is non-experimental, quantitative descriptive was conducted in May - July 2019 at Batang Beruh Health Centre Jl. Pahlawan Sidikalang, Sidikalang District of Dairi, North Sumatra. The population was 231 hypertensive patients using antihypertensive drugs, with sampling using the Slovin formula, amounted to 70 respondents. Based on the research conducted, in the Calcium Antagonist group, the names of the antihypertensive drugs used are Amlodipine and Nifedipine. Meanwhile, in the ACEIs group, the drug used is Captopril. Whereas in the Angiotensin II receptor antagonist group, the drugs used are Micardis, Valsartan and Candesartan. Whereas in the Diuretic group, the antibiotic used is Furosemide.

Abstract

It is a direct and responsible service to patients in the pharmaceutical field, which aims to enhance the quality of life of patients by attaining certain goals. Satisfaction is a result of how people perceive their own and others' performances. The performance of the health services received by new patients will be pleased if it meets or surpasses their expectations, and patient disappointment or discontent will develop if the performance of the health services received does not meet their expectations. The purpose of this research was to find out whether there was a link between patient satisfaction at H. Adam Malik Hospital and the quality of the pharmaceutical services provided. Researchers at Medan's Haji Adam Malik Hospital used cross-sectional survey analysis to examine the link between the independent and dependent variables, namely, the quality of pharmaceutical services provided and patient satisfaction. Aromatherapy wind oil preparations using small white ginger essential oil (Zingiber officinale Roscoe) concentrations of 4%, 5%, and 6% meet the criteria, the organoleptic test is a light yellow, clear liquid, had a distinctive smell and felt warm, homogeneity, the wind oil pH test is 6, the irritation test was non-existent, and the hedonic test was successful. Outpatient satisfaction with pharmaceutical services at H. Adam Malik Hospital Medan was shown to be associated with the quality of pharmaceutical services, according to the study's findings.

Abstract

Until now, antibiotics are still the mainstay of medicine in handling infectious disease cases. Antibiotics can be defined as compounds produced by various types of microorganisms (bacteria, fungi, actinomycetes) which can suppress the growth of other microorganisms. Postoperative is the postoperative period that starts when the patient is transferred to the recovery room and ends until the next evaluation. This research was conducted in the post-surgery room of H. Adam Malik Hospital Medan. This research objective is evaluation of antibiotic treatment in post-surgical RB2B patients at H. Adam Malik Hospital Medan. This type of research is non-experimental, quantitative descriptive that conducted at RB2B of H. Adam Malik Hospital Medan from May - September 2019. The sample was all post-surgical patients in RB2B who used antibiotics, amounted to 95 patients. Based on the research conducted, there were 4 groups of antibiotics treatment in Post- Surgery RB2B. The 4 groups namely Cephalosporins, Carbapenems, Nitroimidazoles and Quinolones. The most widely used postoperative antibiotic (RB2B) was Ceftriaxone, totalling 86 vials. Then followed by infusion of Metronidazole and 44 tablets. Then in the third place, the most used is Meropenem, as many as 13 vials. Followed by the use of cefotaxime and ciprofloxacin, 6. each. And finally, the least use, namely: Cefoperazone inj as many as 5 vials. The conclusion of this study was that 60% of antibiotics prescribed in RB2B had fulfilled the Fornas, while the discrepancy according to Fornas was 40%.

Abstract

Dense activity and with increasing age experienced by each community, is one of the causes of decreased sleep quality and trigger sleep disorders. The use of medicinal plants is increasingly in the community such as Sensistive plant leaves. This study aims to determine the sensitive plants and to know the comparison of the work activities of the sensitive plants leaves with a deep sleep. This research was an experimental study with a complete random design in a unidirectional pattern. Test animals used 15 male mice, divided into 5 groups randomly consisting of 3 animals. First Group was given a 0.5% CMC suspension, Second group was given a deep suspension, Third group was given an sensitive plants leaves extract with 5% concentration, fourth group was given an sensitive plants leaves extract of 10% concentration, fifth group was given an sensitive plants leaves extract of 20%. Data obtained by Anova test, followed by Duncan's different test to see the real difference in each experimental group. Administration of sensitive plants leaves extract of 5% leaves did not make a significant difference with sleep, but at a concentration of 10%, 20% gave a significant difference with sedative test on mice that were given a deep sleep. Suspension of sensitive plants leave has a sedative effect on mice, at a concentration of 10%, 20% has the same sedative effect as deep sleep, and research needs to be done on other parts of the sensitive plants leaves that has a stronger sedative effect.

Abstract

COVID-19 is a disease outbreak that originated in China that is spreading rapidly throughout the world. COVID-19 spread in Indonesia in mid-March 2020. The spread of this virus caused losses to many countries, especially in the economic sector. In the field of education, COVID-19 also drastically changes the learning model; All learning activities are carried out online, starting from elementary school to university level. This research is a qualitative descriptive study that describes online learning activities at the Helvetia Institute of Health after it has been determined that all learning activities are carried out at home using online mode. The subjects consisted of 4 students and 3 lecturers at the Helvetia Institute of Health. Data collection using interviews. Based on the results of interviews, online learning activities at the Helvetia Institute of Health have been effective by using the Zoom, Google Classroom, Schoology, Webex, E-Learning, WhatsApp, and Cloux applications. Obstacles in the implementation of online learning are the problem of internet connection and inadequate economy.

Abstract

Aloe vera contains flavonol compounds, saponins such as kaempeferol, quercetin and merycetin as much as 257.7, 94.80 and 1283.50 mg/kg, respectively. Saponins contained in aloe vera gel are able to clean the dirt from skin. Vitamin E in aloe vera is also able to soften, moisturize and increase smoothness of the skin. Mangosteen peel waste contains higher xanthones  compared to the mangosteen fruit itself. In 100 grams of mangosteen peel, there are 107.76 mg of xanthones which are an extraordinary nutritions for the skin because they act as antioxidants and antiaging. This study aims to formulate a combination of aloe vera flesh extract and mangosteen peel extract into a cream dosage form and observe the effect in moisturizing the skin of volunteers within 3 months of treatment.The research was initiated by making extracts of aloe vera and mangosteen peel by using the maceration method. Then the extract was formulated into cream preparations with varies concentrations of each cream A (0%:20%), cream B (5%:15%), cream C (10%:10%), cream D (15%:5% ), cream E (20%:0%). The preparations were evaluated for their physical characteristics, namely homogeneity test, pH test, organoleptic test, dispersibility test, stability test, irritation test and its effectiveness in moisturizing volunteers skin using a moisture checker.The results showed that the combination extract of aloe vera flesh and mangosteen peel can be formulated in cream preparation that is homogeneous, does not change color, and remains stable in 12 weeks of storage with a pH between 6.0-6.6. The best cream formula in increasing moisture of skin are found in cream with a combination of 15% aloe vera flesh extract with 5% mangosteen peel extract by an uplifting until 92.5%.Lidah buaya atau aloe vera mengandung senyawa flavonol, saponin seperti kaempeferol, quercetin dan merycetin masing-masing sebanyak 257,7, 94,80 dan 1283,50 mg/kg. Kandungan saponin yang terdapat dalam gel lidah buaya dapat membersihkan kotoran dari kulit. Vitamin E pada aloe vera juga mampu melembutkan, melembabkan dan menambah kehalusan kulit. Limbah kulit manggis mengandung xanthone yang lebih tinggi daripada dalam daging buah manggis. Dalam 100 gram kulit manggis terdapat  xanthone sebesar 107,76 mg dan memiliki khasiat yang luar biasa untuk kulit karena berperan sebagai antioksidan dan antiaging. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memformulasikan kombinasi ekstrak daging lidah buaya dan ekstrak kulit buah manggis ke dalam bentuk sediaan krim dan mengamati efek kelembaban pada kulit sukarelawan selama 3 bulan perawatan.Penelitian diawali dengan membuat ekstrak lidah buaya dan kulit manggis yang diperoleh dengan menggunakan metode maserasi. Kemudian ekstrak diformulasikan menjadi sediaan krim dengan variasi konsentrasi masing-masing krim A (0%:20%), krim B (5%:15%), krim C (10%:10%), krim D (15%:5%), krim E (20%:0%). Sediaan dievaluasi untuk karakteristik fisiknya yaitu uji homogenitas, uji pH, uji organoleptis, uji daya sebar, uji stabilitas, uji iritasi dan uji kelembaban pada sukarelawan dengan menggunakan moisture checker.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak daging lidah buaya dan kombinasi kulit buah manggis dapat di formulasikan dalam sediaan krim pelembab yang homogen, tidak berubah warna, dan tetap stabil dalam penyimpanan 12 minggu dengan pH 6,0-6,6. Formula krim terbaik yang memberikan efek peningkatan kadar air tertinggi adalah krim dengan kombinasi ekstrak daging lidah buaya 15% dengan ekstrak kulit manggis 5% dengan peningkatan hingga 92,5%.

Abstract

Pengelupasan kulit diperlukan dalam membuang atau mengangkat sel-sel permukaan kulit yang mati dan kering serta dapat membuat tekstur kulit menjadi merata dan halus. Eksfolian fisik seperti scrub bekerja untuk mengelupaskan kulit mati secara instan. Kebanyakan orang mungkin tidak cocok melakukan eksfoliasi setiap hari, karena dapat menyebabkan kulit menjadi kering dan mudah teriritasi. Untuk itu, senyawa alami yang digunakan dalam pembuatan lulur dapat menjadi pilihan yang lebih baik dalam mengangkat sel mati sekaligus menutrisi kulit dengan banyak senyawa antioksidan. Daun pepaya mengandung senyawa kimia yang bersifat antiseptik, antiradang, antijamur, dan antibakteri. Senyawa antibakteri yang terdapat pada daun pepaya antara lain tanin, flavonoid, alkaloid, terpenoid, dan saponin. Selain itu, daun pepaya mengandung vitamin C dan E (masing-masing 68,59 dan 39,78mg/100 g). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah memformulasi sediaan krim lulur ekstrak etanol 70% dari daun pepaya yang memiliki kemampuan dalam meningkatkan kelembaban. Penelitian dilakukan secara eksperimental, meliputi pembuatan simplisia, ekstrak, sediaan lulur krim dan pemeriksaan sediaan secara fisik maupun efektivitasnya terhadap kulit sukarelawan. Studi menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada perubahan bentuk, warna dan bau setelah 12 minggu penyimpanan; uji homogenitas menunjukkan preparat homogen; sediaan menunjukkan kisaran pH 6,5-6,9; jenis emulsi adalah fase minyak dalam air sehingga krim mudah diaplikasikan, menyebar dan didispersikan dengan air; tes iritasi menunjukkan tidak ada kemerahan, gatal dan panas pada kulit sukarelawan. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak etanol 70% dari daun pepaya (Carica papaya L.) dapat diformulasikan sebagai krim lulur dan dengan konsentrasi 15% ekstrak daun pepaya memberikan efek terbaik dalam meningkatkan kelembaban kulit.

Abstract

Background: Flavonoid chemicals, vitamins A, C, and E, and polyphenols are found in the skin of red dragon fruit (Hylocereus polyrhizus), which may be utilized as a source of natural antioxidants to fight free radicals and give a moisturizing effect on the skin. Objective: In this study, an ethanol extract of red dragon fruit peel with concentrations of 1%, 3%, and 5% will be used to create a scrub cream preparation. Method: Experiments were used in this study. Organoleptic, homogeneity, dispersion, irritation, stability (cycling), and moisture efficacy tests were among the assessment procedures used to assess the scrub cream formulation. Results: The preparations all have a semisolid consistency, a vanilla scent, and a variety of hues, including white in the blank formula, cream in formulas F1 and F2, brownish cream in recipe F3, and light brown in formula F3. All of the prepared were uniform and did not bother the skin. With a pH range of 5.7–5.9, all preparations satisfied the criteria. With a dispersion of 5.6-7.9, the dispersive power of all preparations fulfilled the standards. There was no discernible change in the stability test during the riding test. The F3 scrub cream preparation had the biggest rise in skin water content from the F0, F1 and F2 preparations, which was 29.4% at week 4 after using the preparation, according to the findings of the moisture efficacy test. Conclusion: The study's findings indicated that red dragon fruit peel extract might be used to create a scrub cream preparation that can moisturize the skin and has passed physical assessment standards.
