Abstract

ABSTRACT  This study aims to obtain data, information and an overview of public attitudes in the face of the issue earthquake and tsunami in Rimbo Kaluang Village Padang views of : 1) attitude and, 2) behavior. This type of research is descriptive. Population residing in the Rimbo Kaluang Village community Padang Barat District totaling 1.019 households. Samples were taken in two ways, the sample areas were taken by purposive sampling technique with consideration of taking an area that has more population and respondent sample is taken with a proportional random sampling technique with a proportion of 10% that the sample of 60 households.The results of the study found that: 1) the attitude of the people in the Rimbo Kaluang Village about earthquake and tsunami risk quite well, meaning peoples attitudes in the face of the earthquake and tsunami risks need to be improved and 2) Public behavior in the face of the earthquake and tsunami in the Rimbo Kaluang village good enough, means that peoples behavior in the face of the earthquake and tsunami risks need to be repaired

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to obtain data , information and description of the Plant Patchouli (Pogostemon cablin Benth) in Makalo village Pagai Selatan District Mentawai Islands Region seen from: 1) the maintenance and care and 2) marketing.This type of research is descriptive. Population of all farmers in the village of patchouli in Makalo villageare 568 households. Samples were taken with a proportional random sampling technique with the proportion of 15% so that the sample was 84 farmers.The results of the study found : 1 ) Patchouli crop management techniques in Makalo village Mentawai Islands Region, farmer doing embroidery at age < 1 month until the age of 3 months, conducted during the morning and afternoon. Fertilization patchouli farmers in Makalo villade generally use NPK fertilizers and performed at the age of 1 month after planting. For the first weeding patchouli performed at the age of 1 month and weeding done 3 times. While farmers in the Makalo village generally never do and 2) Marketing patchouli plants generally use system sales by an estimated per kg of oil and the buyer is a big toke and some are directly sold to the market. Constraints patchouli farmers in Makalo village Pagai Selatan District Mentawai Islands Region in transport due to the Makalo transportati system is not smooth and more farmers using a speed boat in the sale and issue onof transport costs are expensive. Frequency selling patchouli oil generally uncertain. Results of patchouli oil obtained by farmers in the last one year depending on the weather and the land area. In 1 year, farmers usually harvest 4 times and average the results obtained in 1 Ha patchouli ranged from 5-10 kg

Abstract

ABSTRACK             The phenomena of rubber’s production infact that the rubber’s production in 2009, 2010, and 2011 had decreased of every years and was giving an impact to the economic system of farmer’s in Pasarbaru Pangean villlage, Pangean subdistrict, Kuantan Singingi district. The purpose of this vesearch is to analyze 1) The full fillment of basic needed of rubber’s farmer (basic, conventional need, clothing). In Pasarbaru village Pangean subdistrict Kuantan Singingi district, 2) the rubber’s farmer’s work experience in Pasarbaru village Pangean subdistrict Kuantan Singingi district, 3) the rubber’s farmer’s income in Pasarbaru village Pangean subdistrict Kuantan Singingi district. The result of this research are 1) basic needed of food basic neded is rice (100%), basic food as tofu and tempe (42%), and the cost of basic needed for 1 day is < Rp. 100.000 (69,6%), then for cloth’s rubber’s farmer’s is bought once for every six month (49,3%), and outcome for every year is Rp. 500.000-1.000.000 (40,6%), confentional needed is seen by the type of house a half complete and complete (43,5%), the wide of that house is 7x9 meters (33,3%). 2) work experience based on the level of knowledge of rubbers farmers (49,3%) and the last graduated of rubbers farmers is elementary school (46,4%), the time of the are spend to take the rubbers is about 7 hours (34,8%), their skill can see from the experience as a rubbers farmer is from self taught (37,7%). 3) the income from the wide of rubber land is about Rp. 1.000.000 (50,7%), and a little incoming from rubbers land when rainy season (27,5%).

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research study aims to find out about the education of children of fishermen in the District Sasak Sasak Kanagarian Pasisie Pasaman West Domains, which is where the parents met the low motivation of parents both lower economic third neighborhood is also low. That led to the children in many low Sasak Kanagarian pendidikanya due to several factors. Education is very important role for children of fishermen to make children responsible and useful to the nation.Qualitative research with a snowball technique (snowball). It starts with selecting informants and conducting interviews of the person, then requested referral, advice, guidance informant who should be the next who have the knowledge, experience, information on the search and to then performed in the same manner so as to obtain a lot of information.Based on the discovery and discussion of the results of this study are as follows: First morivasi parents who are in Kanagarian Sasak expressed less so berdamapak for childrens education. Both parents are less economic contained in Sasak Kanagarian very pendididkan impact on children, despite parents work as fishermen but its income is inadequate to meet the day-to-day life so stout neglected childs education. Third Sasak Kanagarian environment affect childrens education, influenced by peers who are not in school and terkilogi influence in modern times.

Abstract

 ABSTRACT  This study aims to determine the pattern of settlement and Socioeconomic Characteristics in Lingkuang Aua Village Pasaman District of Pasaman Barat Region.This research is descriptive quantitative. The population in this study were all Head of Family in Lingkuang Aua Village Pasaman District of Pasaman Barat Region totaling 7.770 households. Samples were taken in two ways, sample areas taken by using purposive side which is ellipse with a radius of 2,5 miles from Pasaman Barat Region Head Office and the sample respondents drawn with proportional random sampling technique with percentage 5% so that the sample was 170 households. Data were analyzed by analysis of nearest neighbors and the percentage.The results of the study found that: (1) settlement pattern in Lingkuang Aua Village Pasaman District are clustered settlement pattern and (2) socio-economic characteristics of society in Lingkuang Aua Village Pasaman District, community family structure more female population than the male, with the age group most are in the productive age. Family child education generally is at the level of elementary, junior high, high school and college, but there are still children who drop out of school. Generally place a childs education in the neighborhood, the cost incurred an average of Rp 300,000 - Rp 500.000/ month than the cost of its own, without any help from others, average income of Rp 1,000,000 - Rp 2.000.000/month, spending on basic necessities average < Rp 1.500.000/month, to meet the needs of food, clothing and shelter, dependents in a family of 4 people and has no dependents other than son and wife. The main livelihood in agriculture, employment status remain and work in the city district. Are by and large people do not have a second job

Abstract

 ABSTRACT  This study aims to determine typology of village based livelihood in V Koto District Mukomuko region based on : 1) the livelihoods of rice field, 2) the livelihoods of dryland agriculture and 3) livelihood plantations.This research is descriptive evaluative, which describes the existing conditions and compare with the ideal conditions (evaluative). The population in this study was the entire village in V Koto District Mukomuko region and the subject is the whole village and the village chief district officer BPS of Mukomuko.The results of the study found that : (1) Typology of rural livelihoods based livelihood views of rice fields in V Koto District Mukomuko region, no village can be grouped into the village rice fields, as a percentage score for village rice fields smaller than the plantation village, (2 ) typology based livelihood village seen from dry land farming livelihoods in V Koto District Mukomuko region, then nothing can be grouped into dryland farming villages and (3) rural typology based livelihood views of livelihood plantations in V Koto District Mukomuko region, the whole village is a group of villages because of the vast plantation estates and land use is dominated by oil palm and rubber plants.Â
