Abstract

One of difficulty of teaching Arabic language especially in the beginner class is most of students have never studied Arabic before, even some students who can not read or write Arabic letters correctly. In Arabic there are two types of sentences, noun sentence and verbal sentence. The difficulties faced by low-class is to understand and produce verbal sentences because the verb form of Indonesian language is the noun form sentence. The purpose of this study was to observe the effect of chain exercises based on psychological aspects that begin with noun sentence; to develop in creating the sentence for Indonesian students. This research is experimental in its implementation consists of four steps: (1) planning (2) experiment (3) observations and (4) assessment. The population is the student of intensive class of Arabic in Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. While the instruments used in this study is the observation and examination. The results of this study indicate that chain exercises based on psychological aspects can improve students’s skill for creating the sentence. Composing the sentence based on psychological aspects helps students to avoid scared of learning Arabic and monotony.

Abstract

This study was intended to investigate the process of teaching in the intensive Arabic language at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang that designed to foster muslim characters who have the nature and attitude of peace. This began by introducing muslim figures, such as Rosululloh, Ibrahim, Yusuf, Maryam, Hajar, Asiyah and others. Literacy comes from the al Quran and other sources to provide students with knowledge about Islam, peace and strength of faith-based character. Literacy and character growing are important for students as they are in a brilliant and mature phase of thought growth. It is expected that students will direct their thoughts and activities towards the positive and reflect the peace as the spirit of Islam. Results show that the process of learning and teaching begins with reading al Quran and one wise words (mahfudhad) then the lecturer discusses a bit about the verse or mahfudhad by sharing the story of the appropriate moslem character. It usually takes about 30 minutes. Every day students get this literacy review for the first year in campus. Student response to this activity is good. This can be seen from the polite attitude and the tendency towards the peace of new students in this campus; although they differ in the majors or diverse organizations that followed.. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the control management strategy in creating an Arabic-language environment, the implications of the Arabic-language environmental control management strategy and the solutions to problems inhibiting the creation of an Arabic-language environment that are applied at Mabna ar-Razi Ma'had Al-Jamiah Center, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative with data collection using observations of the progress of language activities in ma'had, interviews with musyrif (managers) of the language and mahasantri divisions, as well as documentation of these language activities. Data analysis techniques applied by researchers are data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The findings of this study are a form of management strategy for controlling the language environment implemented at the Ma'had Al-Jamiah Center of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang which uses an informal language environment, namely making the environment outside the classroom a place for students to practice Arabic language skills and when in class language lectures through language programs yaum al-faan al-lughowy (language arts day), sima'i wal tarjamah (listening and interpreting) and tazwidul mufradat (adding vocabulary). The solution to the obstacles to creating an Arabic-language environment is by holding language programs as activities, tightening discipline in language, coaching related to language for both educators and students, and ma'had managers should continue to add material and language learning resources, both study material on various books modern or classic.

Abstract

The purpose of this research to describe the planning, organization, implementation and supervision of environmental programs at STIBA AR-RAAYAH. This study uses a qualitative research approach with a case study type of research. The results of this study indicate the following: First: setting daily schedules, creating daily work programmes, weekly work programmes, monthly work programmes, and annual work programmes. Second: in the organization are the Student Department, which includes BEM, the Academic Department, and the Curriculum Department. Third: Monitoring and supervising the process of environmental management of the Arabic language at STIBA AR-RAAYAH by looking at the results of the teacher's work and the results of their education, applying learning strategies/methods and the educational achievements of students, and monitoring student behavior. Fourth: The supporting factors in the formation of the Arabic language environment at Al-Raya University: good beginnings, the process of teaching and learning using the Arabic language, not owning anything that is not related to the Arabic language, native speakers, and housing. Fifth: Obstacle factors in creating the Arabic language environment at Al-Raya University: visitors, employees, non-Arabic lessons, and lecturers outside the university.

Abstract

Arabic language program management has been widely applied to formal education in Indonesia, however, there are differences and similarities in program management in actuating between one formal institution and another. For this reason, the objectives of this study are to describe the differences in Arabic language program management; to describe the similarities of Arabic language program management; to analyze Arabic language program management at in terms of actuating (objectives, approaches and strategies, methods, materials and learning resources, as well as class division). This research uses library research with descriptive method. The results of this study are the similarities of formal educational institutions, namely in the objectives, although there are innovations from the institutions themselves, methods, and class divisions; the differences are in the methods, materials, and approaches and strategies used; the objectives namely: GBPP there are also those who adopt from other institutions, approaches and strategies using teacher-centred only and on teachers and students, methods mostly use the tarjamah grammatical, reading, memorization, and others, on learning materials and resources using books which was printed by the founder and based on Arabic subjects, and the class division was only two divisions (the ula class and the wustho class).

Abstract

تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى وصف  عن أساليب التدريس في المدارس الثانوية في إندونيسيا ونيجيريا. الطريقة المستخدمة في هذه الدراسة هي البحث النوعي الوصفي الميداني. ومجتمع البحث: المدير، ومدرسي اللغة العربية في المدرسة الثانوية وطلاب المدارس في إندونيسيا النيجيريا. كانت طرق جمع البيانات المستخدمة هي الملاحظة، والمقابلات، والوثائق، مع التحليل الفني لبيانات التثليث. تشير نتائج الدراسة إلى أن تعلم مهارة التحدث للمدرسة الثانوية في إندونيسيا يستخدم طريقة السمعية الشفهية. تبدأ عملية التعلم مع ذكر وقراءة المفردات من قبل المدرس، ثم يشارك الطلاب في النطق ثلاث مرات. يتم تقييم التعلم من خلال تقديم أسئلة للطلاب حول المفردات التي تم منحها ثم يقوم الطلاب بالإجابة اللفظية. كما يُطلب من الطلاب وضع جمل من المفردات التي يعطيها المعلم شفهيًا. إن استخدام هذه الطريقة تشجع الى نجاح البيئة العربية حيث يتكلم الطلاب اللغة العربية يوميا، وتؤدي الى وجود جو تعلم تفاعلي وتواصلي وممتع حتى لا يشعر الطلاب بالملل.  وأما تعليم مهارة الكلام في المدرسة الثانوية بنيجيريا يعتمد اعتمادا كليّا على تعويد التلاميذ على الكلام باللغة العربية وتنمية خبراتهم الكلامية بأشكال متنوعة من الحوار والمناظرة أو المسابقة وغيرها. ويحدث ذلك تحت هيمنة المدرس الذي يلاحظ في كلامهم مواضع النقص والإخفاق، فيقوم بالتصحيح مشفوعا بالبيان والتوضيح والتوجيه المقنع. من بعض وجوه الاتفاق والاختلاف بين إندونسيا ونيجيريا؛ حيث كان الاتفاق في كثير من الأنظمة التدريسية والمشاكل التي تواجه التلاميذ في تعليم مهارة الكلام مع اهتداء المدرس إلى كيفية تبديد شمل هذه المشكلات مع سعيه الحثيث لإيجاد الحلول الناجعة. This study aims to describe speaking proficiency teaching methods for high school level in Indonesia and Nigeria. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative, field research with the subject of the principal, Arabic language teachers, and senior high school in Indonesia and Nigerian school students. Data collection methods used were observation, interviews, and documentation, with technical analysis of triangulation data. The results showed that learning Indonesian conversation skills using the method of sam'iyah syafahiyah (oral audio). The learning process begins with mentioning and reading vocabulary by the teacher, and then students participate in the pronunciation three times. Learning is evaluated by asking questions to students about the vocabulary that has been given, and students respond verbally. Students are also required to make vocabulary sentences given orally by the teacher. The use of this method encourages the success of the Arab environment where students speak Arabic every day and lead to an interactive, communicative and enjoyable learning environment, so students do not feel bored. Teaching speaking skills in secondary schools in Nigeria depends entirely on the ability of students to speak Arabic and develop their verbal skills in various forms of dialogue, debate, competition, etc. This happens under the domination of the teacher, who notes in their words about deficiencies and failures, which are corrected with statements and clarification and convincing guidance. There are similarities and differences between Indonesia and Nigeria, for example the similarities in the teaching system and the problems faced by students in learning speaking skills with the teacher explaining how to solve this problem by finding practical solutions.

Abstract

Purpose- This research aims to describe the planning and implementation of Arabic language education in the Academy of Good Youth, Indonesia Branch, and to describe the problems in planning and implementing Arabic language education in the Good Youth Academy, Indonesia branch. Design/Methodologi/Approach- This research uses the qualitative approach using the descriptive analytical method and uses two methods of data collection, namely observation and interview. Findings- The result of this research yielded; (1) that the planning and implementation of Arabic language education for Indonesian children in the Academy of Good Youth, Indonesia branch, was organized by the Arabic language teacher from the educational objectives, educational activities in the classroom and academic assessment; (2) The educational problems in teaching Arabic to Indonesian children at the Good Youth Academy, Indonesia branch, are divided into three types: linguistic problems on the part of the students, linguistic problems on the part of the teacher, and non-linguistic problems, whether on the part of the teacher or on the part of the students. Research Limitation/Implications- With this research, all educational institutions should pay great attention to educational administration in order to provoke success in education.

Abstract

This study aims to describe an innovation in Arabic learning especially in Arabic speaking skill by teachers at MAN Pematangsiantar during pandemic era in 2020-2022. This research used descriptive qualitative method. Source of data were Arabic teacher and students grade XI and XII. Data were collected by doing interview and observation, and then analyzed using interactive analysis model. Results showed that during pandemic in 2020-2022, teacher made an innovation in teaching Arabic speaking skill by applying various online media such as e-learning, Whatsapp group, Zoom Cloud Meeting, Google Meet, Google Classroom, and also making instructional video. The media were helpful in teaching Arabic speaking skill during pandemic because each of them has specific features that can be used to send materials, meet the students virtually, practice speaking, and also evaluate students’ ability. However, teacher also faced some problems namely not proficient in operating the media, cannot control the students maximally, and unstable network.

Abstract

Arabic is a very important language for millions of Islamic people around the world both Arabic and non-Arabic, Al- inayah pasuruan islamic boarding school is one of the islamic boarding schools that creates cadres of islamic cadres and cadres of the nation by equipping their students with learning arabic. The existence of pesantren as an uplifting educational institution is increasingly challenged to improve itself in every activity carried out in the islamic boarding school, for example in teaching practice. The learning program is one of the important factors in the continuity of learning Arabic. for successful teaching relating to the program used. Deliberations have various implementations of types of deliberations that take place in Islamic boarding schools, including as learning methods, batshul masa'il, and programs. As a learning method, deliberation has similarities with the method of class discussion or group discussion. The main problems of this study are: How is the implementation in qira'ah learning in pesantren ? This type of research is a qualitative research design of data collection in this study using observation, interviews and field notes. In this study, researchers chose the caregivers of Al Inayah Pasuruan Islamic Boarding School as informants.
