Abstract

The aim of this research was to identify the correlation between using of backpack and incidence of low back pain in University of Riau’s student. The design was descriptive correlational research with cross sectional approach. The sampling technique was cluster sampling with 100 respondents which was selected based on inclusion criteria. This research used questionnaire for variable of using backpack and observation sheet for incidence of low back pain. The univariate analysis was done by using distributions of frequencies and bivariate analysis was done by using chi-square test. The result showed, there was the correlation between appropriate backpack, balance, carry less and duration of using backpack with the incidence of low back pain (p value 0,003;0,000;0,000;0,000) and there was no correlation between medical history and incident of low back pain (p value 0,102). According to this research,  it is necessary for University of Riau’s student to select appropriate backpack, balance, carry less to reduce the  incidence of low back pain. Abstract

This research was determine the relationship between parenting parentswithadolescentsexualbehaviorinSMA TriBhaktiPekanbaru. This research used adescriptive correlationmethodwith cross sectional study. This research was conductedon177adolescentsinSMATriBhaktiPekanbaruusingstratified random sampling technique. The instrument used was a questionnaire parenting parents 18 questionsandadolescent sexualbehaviorquestionnaire13questions.The analysis usedunivariateandbivariateanalysis. The resultsof chi-squaretestp value=0.001, wecanconcludetheexistenceofa relationshipbetweenparentingparentswithadolescentsexualbehavior inSMATriBhaktiPekanbaru. Expected from the results of this research can be input in a broader research by increasing the number of samples, appendthe locationas well asonother factorsthatmayaffectadolescent sexual behavior. Abstract

Abstract This study aims to identify adolescent dating behavior based on precede-proceede theory. Dating is relationship between two people in love such as meet in one place that has been stated/ planed with as related in relationship. Adolescent are individuals who were in period of transition from childhood in to adulthood, beginning around 10 years old to 13 years old and ended between the ages of 18 years old to 22 years old,and is characterized with very rapid development from physical, psychological, and social aspects. Precede-proceede theory is one of theory and model in nurse comunity to show the sympton/phenomenom which is affect the individual behavior. This research used quantitative approach with descriptive method with sampling  technique using purposive sampling. The results of this research to show the total of respondents who are obey the religion norm around 79 respondents (87.8%) coeval infect around 74 respondents (91.1%), parents roles around 82 (91.1%)  total of who has dating more than once is 58 students (64.4%), and total of students was participated in organizatin around 62 respondents (68.8%). The recomendation in this research is a practical action that can be adapted by parents or teacher to provide or to teach the value or norm in dating Keywords: dating, adolescent and  precede-proceede theory

Abstract

Hypertension is a silent killer with the highest death rate for cardiovascular disease in the world. Hypertension has affect to human life quality. This study aims to determine the analysis of the quality of life of hypertensive patients using complementary therapies acupuncture in the working area of Harapan Raya Health Center, Bukit Raya District, Kelurahan Tangkerang Selatan, Pekanbaru. This research uses descriptive design. This study was conducted at 88 respondents using a cluster sampling technique. The measuring instrument used is the WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire which is a questionnaire to measure quality of life that has been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis used is univariate analysis to see frequency distribution. The results showed that the quality of life using acupunture was good (59,1%). This study recommends to the community especially those who have family members to pay more attention to healthy lifestyles to avoid further complications of hypertension. Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine the effectiveness of tumeric and tamarind to relieve dysmenorrhoea. The method was quasy experiment by giving tumeric and tamarind stew to the experimental group. The research was conducted on SMAN 9 Pekanbaru, toward 30 respondent which devided into two group. The first group was experimental group and the second group was control group. The sampling used purposive sampling technique, the measurement was a numeric rating scale to measure the intensity of pain. The analysis were univarite and bivariate analysis by using t-dependent sample test and mann whitney. The result showed there was a significant reduction of the intensity of pain to the experimental group after the group had taken the tumeric and tamarind stew ( p < α  0,05). Its mean that the stew was efective to relieve dysmenorrhoea. Its recomended to female student to apply the tumeric and tamarind stew as herbal medicine to relieve the dysmenorrhoea. Abstract

Abstract Individuals are required to meet basic human needs, one of which is sleep. In young adults often experience sleep disturbances and changes in sleeping hours. This aims of this research was to identify the correlation between sleep quality and quantity of sleep with the learning achievement of students in School of Nursing, University of Riau. The design was descriptive correlational research with cross sectional approach. The sampling technique total sampling involving 197 respondents that was selected based on inclusion criteria. This research used questionnaire for the variable sleep quality and quantity of sleep, and the value of the test block for the variable of learning achievement. The univariate analysis was results showed 35(17,8%) of the respondents had a good sleep quality and 162(82,2%) respondents had poor sleep quality, and the results also showed of 197 respondents, as many as 95(48,2%) respondents had enough sleep quantity and 102(51,8%) respondents had less sleep quantity. Bivariate analysis was obtained by using mann-whitney test and the statistic showed p value for the quality of sleep (0.284) > alpha (0.05), so it was concluded there was no correlation between sleep quality with learning achievement. For statistical results quantity of sleep obtained p value (0.244) > alpha (0.05), it can be concluded there was no correlation between the quantity of sleep with learning achievement. For subsequent researchers are strongly advised to examine the factors that affect sleep quality and quantity of sleep PSIK UR students. Abstract

Abstract Changes of cognitive function including the deterioration in tasks that require speed and tasks that require short-term memory. This will effect the friction of elderly’s role in social interaction in the community and family. The research aim to determine the the effectiveness of Qigong therapy on cognitive function of elderly. This research used quasy experiment design with non-equivalent control group. This research was conducted in Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha Khusnul Khotimah Pekanbaru with 34 samples, which devided into 17 as experimental group and 17 as control group and choosen by purposive and random sampling technique. Experimental group was given Qigong therapy for 20 minutes 2 times a week for 4 weeks (8 sessions), meanwhile control group were not. The cognitive function was measured with Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE). The analysis used univariat by using frequencies and bivariat by using Dependent Sample T Test and Independent Sample T Test. The result of this research showed that increasing mean of MMSE score in experiment group with 2.82 and incresing mean of MMSE score 0.29. Statistic analyze showed that was significant increasing cognitive fuction after giving intervention of experiment group with p value 0.000 (<0.05). The conclusion is Qigong Therapy effect on cognitive function of elderly and recommended to be applied for nursing intervention to help optimize cognitive function of elderly.  Keywords: Cognitive function, MMSE, Qigong

The methodology on this research was a descriptive correlation with cross sectional approach. There are 100 participants collected by using proportionate stratified random sampling. Measuring instrument used was aquestionnairesheet consisting of personal hygiene and environmental sanitation also an observation sheet consisting of signs of scabies. In this research, we use bivariat analysis with chi square test. Basic on statistical result, p value= 0.781 (p value > 0.05) it’s did not show relationship between personal hygiene with incident of scabies, and also statistical result p value=0.306 (p value > 0.05) it’s did not show relationship between environmental sanitation with incident of scabies. This research suggest to Al-Kautsar boarding school to maintain good personal hygiene and environmental sanitation so thatstudentsavoidscabies. Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the factors associated with the incidence of melasma in women worker street sweeper. This research is descriptive correlative with the technique of cross sectional study. Samples were taken using accidental sampling method that amount to 66 respondents. The analysis used is a univariate analysis with frequency distribution and bivariate with chi-square test. This study shows results that there is a relationship of drugs use with the incidence of melasma (p value = 0,005). The results of this study recommend the impotance of maintaining healthy skin and avoid prolonged sun exposure by using protective equipment such as large hats, masks and umbrellas and sunscreen.
