Abstract

Renal insufficiency due to diabetes disease has subsequently been known by the name of Diabetic Kidney Disease (DKD) or Diabetic Nephropathy (ND) is a complication of diabetes that is included in microvascular complications, the complications that occur in small blood vessels (small). The purpose of this research was to determined the level of knowledge about DM dietery with complication of  kidney failure. Samples of this research taken by using purposive sampling technique. This study used a” descriptive – correlation” research design with cross sectional study " . Total sample of 74 people with using purposive sampling technique sampling by taking into account the inclusion criteria Measuring instrument  to look at the diet by using kuesioner knowledge and to see the complications of chronic renal failure was using secondary data . The analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis with the chi-square test . The results showed a high knowledge of the results of as many as 42 ( 56.8 % ) and low knowledge of as many as 32 (43.2 %), while the average stage of CRF in stage IV were 12 respondents ( 16.2 % ) and stage V as 62 respondents ( 83.8 % ). The results of this study with p value = 0,843, There is no relationship between the level of knowledge about the diet of patients with DM with complications of chronic renal failure. The results of this study are expected to be one of the nursing interventions to improve diabetes patients knowledge about the diet of diabetic nephropathy in order not to aggravate the situation. Abstract

Scabies is an infectious skin disease caused by Sarcoptes scabies hominis variants. Scabies is found in all countries with variety of prevalence. Scabies decreases quality of life and academic achievement, so it needs to be prevented by good knowledge, attitudes and personal hygiene practices on santri. The purpose of the study was to describe the knowledge and attitudes of students about scabies at the Pekanbaru City Islamic Boarding School. This study used quantitative methods with descriptive research design. This research was conducted at Al-Kautsar Islamic Boarding School in Pekanbaru City with 75 santri as sample. The instrument used in this study was a knowledge and attitude questionnaire. The results showed that the majority of respondens aged 12 years old were 70 people (93.3%). The results of the measurement on the level of knowledge are obtained in the category of bad knowledge that is as many as 34 people (45.3%), and the results of measuring the attitudes of santri towards Scabies are found that 42 students (56%) have a positive attitude. The results of this study are expected to be a database for Islamic Boarding School to be the initial data to prevent scabies in order to improve the quality of life and academic achievement of their santri. keywords: Attitude, Knowledge, Scabies

Abstract

Abstract Hypertension is an abnormal high blood pressure measurable three occasion in different chance. Family health care tasks is an obligation that should be performed by a family in order to optimize the health of the family members. The role of the family is very significant in caring and assisting with the hypertension patient. The purpose of this research is to Identify the implementation of family health care tasks with hypertension patient in the working area of Simpang Baru Public Health Center. The design of this research was descriptive. The total sample are 40 family member who were taken by using cluster sampling techniques. The instrument used was a questionnaire that has been tested its valid and reliable. The tested results showed that the number of family could not identify problems (70%), families member making decision (55%), caring for member of family (65%), families member modifying the environment (62,5%), families member utilizing the health facilities (72,5%). The conclusion of this research the implementation of family health care tasks with hypertension patient in the working area of Simpang Baru Public Health Center the most of were capable.  Keyword :  the implementation of family health care tasks, the family member with hypertension patient

Abstract

Abstract This research aims to determine the effectiveness of health education through audiovisual media about cervical cancer to the level of knowledge of housewives. Methodology on this research was a quasy Experiment with Non-Equivalent Control Group. The research was conducted at Rejosari subdistrict on Tenayan Raya district to 30 persons consist of 15 for experimental group and 15 for control group. This research were method used of purposive sampling. Measuring tool used is a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. The analysis used were univariate and bivariate analysis using t test-dependent and t test-independent. The results showed health education effective to increase knowledge of housewives about cervical cancer by audiovisual media (p value 0.002). Based on thisresearch was recommended to health agent for giving health education with audiovisual media to increase knowledge of housewives about cervical cancer. Abstract

This research aimed to find out the factors associated with the incidence of gout arthritis in Malay society based on community health centre Rumbai Pesisir Pekanbaru. Cross sectional design. The sample of this research consist of 93 respondents by using cluster sampling technique. The instrument of this research are questionnaire, food recall questionnaire and digital uric acid level. The result obtained that the majority of sample are female respondents (62,4%), age 51-60 years (50,5%), junior high school graduated (40,9%), story of diaseases (76,3%), obesity experience (45,2%), high purine intake (59,1%), insidence gout arthritis in Malay society (74,2%). The chi square analysis showed that there has been a significant relationship between the disease story of the respondent, obesity, and purin intake to incidence gout arthritis in Malay society as story of diseases (p value = 0,000), obesity (p value = 0,000), purine intake (p value = 0,000). Based on the results of this research, expect to community health centre provides a prevention program to prevent gout arthritis by giving counseling about the factors associated with incidence gout arthritis in Malay society, especially to Malay society. Abstract

The internet can have a negative effect to students if it is used excessively, so that it can affect on student’s academic achievement. The purpose of this research was to determine the relation between internet usage and the concentration of learning and achievements on Nursing Students at the University of Riau Faculty of Nursing. This research used a cross sectional approach with 218 samples taken using stratified random sampling techniques. The data in this research consisted of primary data was collected by questionnaires, and secondary data was obtained from the students’ Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). Data analysis used chi square test. The results showed that there was a relation between the duration of internet usage and the concentration of learning on Nursing Student at the University of Riau Faculty of Nursing students with p value 0.011 <α (0.05), there was a relation between the duration of internet usage and student achievement with p value 0.011 <α (0.05 ), and there was a relation between the application used in the internet use of the Faculty of Nursing in Riau University with p value 0,000 <α (0,05), there is a relationship between the application used in internet use and learning achievement in nursing students at Riau University with p value 0,013 <α (0.05), there was a relation between the devices are used with the concentration of learning in the University of Riau Nursing Faculty students with p value 0,000 <α (0,05), and there is a relationship between the devices are used with learning achievement on Nursing Students at the University of Riau Nursing Faculty with p value 0,000 <α ( 0.05). Based on these results, researcher suggest that educational institutions have to pay more attention to the use of internet in learning activity.   Keywords:Internet Usage , Learning Achievement,  Learning Concentration

Abstract

Abstract Medical personnel must achieve the target of MDG's 2015 to improve the health of infants and toddlers. One effort of improving the health of infants and toddlers is to increase mothers' knowledge with health promotion that depend on media. The purpose of this study was to known comparison of the effectiveness of health promotion with audio visual media (video) and leaflet for the level of mothers' knowledge about the management of fever in infants and toddlers. This study was quasy experiment with pretest and posttest design with two comparison treatments that obtained before and after being given health promotion with audio-visual media (video) and leaflet in the Working Area of Puskesmas Simpang Tiga Pekanbaru. The sample were 30 people who are taken by purposive sampling techniques. The instruments were questionnaires that have been tested for validity and reliability. The analysis can be used univariate and bivariate analysis using a paired t-test and unpaired t test. The results showed an increase significantly the level of mothers' knowledge about the management of fever in infants and toddlers in the experimental group with the audio-visual media (video) after given health promotion on the management of fever in infants and toddlers with p value ( 0.000) <α (0.05). It means that health promotion effective to improve the mother's knowledge about management of fever in infants and toddlers with audio-visual media, so the knowledge increase. Abstract

The purpose of this research was to describe the elderly’s lifestyle who lived with family and live at PSTW Khusnul Khotimah. This research used descriptive design with survey approach. Sample of research in family taken by  cluster sampling technique on 97 people and in PSTW with total sampling technique on 63 people. The instrument used was a questionnaire which have been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis used univariate. The results of the research about lifestyle have shown that eating pattern of elderly were healthy (family: 57,7%; PSTW: 65,1%), physical activity and sport of elderly were active (family: 50,5%; PSTW: 58,7%), sleep and rest of elderly were enough (family: 79,4%; PSTW: 68,3%), smoking habit of elderly were high (family: 50,5%; PSTW: 50,8%), spiritual state of elderly were very good (82,5%; PSTW: 100%).This research recommended to family and the staff of PSTW for maintaining and increasing life support to elderly. Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the effectiveness of health education by using audiovisual toward the hygiene behavior on adolescence to prevent the fluor albus. The method was quasy design experimental. Its conducted on SMA N 2 Pekanbaru. The sample was about 106 adolescence and devided into two groups. The first group was the controling group and the second group was the experimental group. The method was simple random samples. The measurment was questioner, it had tested by validity and realibity. The analyzing was univariate and bivariate with t-dependent test and t-independent test. The result showed the significant differences toward the change personal hygiene behavior to the experimental group after the group had given the health education using audiovisual media, by p value 0,000 < α (0,05). This research recomended to every health services in order to give health education by using audiovisual toward personal hygiene behavior to adolescence to prevent fluor albus. Abstract

Relapse of a mental disorder is a reappearance of symptoms of a real mental disorder. One of the triggers for relapsein patients with mental disorders is family motivation. This study aims to determine the factors associated with familymotivation in preventing recurrence in the client mental disorders.The design of this study was a cross sectional studywith a sample of 81 people taken using purposive sampling technique, univariate data analysis and bivariate with chisquaretest. The result of the research showed that most of respondent's characteristic were age group of elderly (46-55years old), male majority and highest education was high school. There is a relationship between knowledge (p value0,000, OR = 138), economic level (p value 0.049, OR = 2.96), access to health services (p value 0.013, OR = 3.49),confidence (p value 0.001, OR = 5,58), environment (p value 0,000, OR = 13,19) with family motivation in preventingrelapse on client mental disorder. It is expected that families should take routine monthly recharge patients accordingto the advice of health workers, to prevent patients from recurrence and re-hospitalization and to socialize again in thesocial environment.Keywords : Mental disorders, motivation family, prevention of relapse
