Abstract

Abstract Puberty in girlsadolescent is characterized by hormonal changes that the arrival of menarche can caused anxiety. The aim of this research was to determine the relationship of family support with the level of anxiety in adolescent to confronting menarche in elementary school/equivalent at Kelurahan Tuah Karya was descriptive correlation design and cross sectional approachment. The sample are 275 respondent was cluster random samping. The instrument used questionnaire the validity and reliability had been tested. The analyses used are univariat to determine the frequency distribution and bivariate using chi-Square test. The result showed 149 respondents received positif family support was 56 from them experienced mild anxiety (37,6%), 63 respondents had moderate anxiety (42,3%), and 30 respondents experienced severe anxiety (20,1%). A total of 126 respondents received negative family support was 67 of them experienced mild anxiety (53,2%), 48 respondents had moderate anxiety (38,1%), and 11 respondents experienced severe anxiety (8,7%). The statistic result obtained is (0,007) < (α = 0,05), therefore there is significantly relationship of the family support with level anxiety in adolescent girl in confront menarche during elementary school/aquevalent at Kelurahan Tuah Karya Kecamatan Tampan. This research recommend to the nurse for give promotion of healt about menarche that can caused anxiety to adolescent confornt puberty. Abstract

Activity of Daily Living (ADL) is one that affects independence carried out by elderly rheumatoid arthritis every day to meet the needs and demands of everyday life. The experiences joint pain make patients afraid to move so that it interferes with daily activities and can reduce their productivity. This study aims to describe the Activity of Daily Living (ADL) in the elderly who suffered from rheumatoid arthritis. The design of this study uses simple descriptive. Samples were taken by purposive sampling technique that is as many as 74 respondents. The results of this study showed that respondents who experienced elderly activity of daily living suffered from independent rheumatoid arthritis as many as 26 people (43.3%), very low dependent as many as 14 people (18.9%), low dependent as many as 20 people (20.3%) and moderate dependent as many as 14 people (13.6%). It is expected that the elderly who suffer from rheumatoid arthritis understand the level of independent of rheumatoid arthritis in carrying out daily activities.Keywords: Activity of Daily Living (ADL), Elderly, Rheumatoid Arthritis

Abstract

Abstract The elderly is a person who has attained the age of 60 years and over. Sleeping towards dhikr is a therapy for evoke the relaxation response which is expected to improve sleep quality. This study aims to look at the effect of dhikr therapy on the quality of sleep of elderly.This study used a quasi-experiment design with control group. The sampling technique used total sampling and random sampling with 42 respondents which were divided into 21 respondents as intervention group and 21 respondents as control group. Intervention administered for onedays. Evaluation of sleep quality scores using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire. Differences sleep quality score of each group tested by dependent t test and differences in sleep quality between the control and intervention groups tested by independent t test.The results of this study indicate there is a strong influence of the dhikr with the quality of the sleep intervention group before and after (p­=0,000; α=5%). There is no significant effect mean score meaningful sleep quality in the control group (p= 0,833; α=0,05). There was differences in the mean scores meaningful sleep quality between the intervention group and the control group with p value= 0,000 (<0,05). The power of dhikr has a strong influence on the improvement of the quality of sleep in the intervention group.The result is expected of dhikr therapy to be one nursing intervention to improving sleep quality of elderly. Abstract

Abstract   Spiritual intelligence is relatively with mental tranquillity, so it will have affect the anxiety of patients undergoing hemodialysis. The aim of this research was to identify the correlation between spiritual intelligence with the anxiety levels of hemodialysis patients in  hemodialysis room of Arifin Achmad Hospital Pekanbaru. The design was descriptive correlation research with cross sectional approach. The sampling technique sample purposive sampling involving 30 respondents that was selected based on inclusion and exlusion criteria. This research used questionnaire for spiritual intelligence and questionnaire Zung Anxiety Self-Assessment Scale for anxiety. The analysis used univariate analysis to determine the frequency distribution and bivariate using Kolmogorof Smirnov. The results showed that  respondents who had high spiritual intelligence, 36,7% experienced mild to moderate anxiety, while respondents who had spiritual intelligence moderate, 20% experienced a panic. The results of the statistical test Kolmogorof Smirnov was obtained p value  (0,036) <α (0.05), which means that there is a correlation between spiritual intelligence with the level of anxiety in hemodialysis patients  . Results of this study are advised to be used by hospitals to improve the quality of services and procedures using a holistic approach, to observe of patients from biological, psychological, social and spiritual persepective for hemodalysis patient so that hemodalysis patient anxiety can be reduced. Abstract

The aim of this research is to determinedthe effectivenessoftomato juiceonblood pressure of hypotensionpatients. The design of thisresearch is quasy experimentdesigned byNon-equivalent control groupweredivided intoexperiment groupandcontrol group. The research was conductedofhypotension patientinthe PuskesmasRumbai. The total sample are 50peoplewhowere takenby usingsimple randomtechniquesby noticing tothe inclusion criteria.Measuring instruments usedin the two groupsisthe observation sheet.The analysis usedwas univariateandbivariatealternativetestandWilcoxonMannWhitney.The results showeda significant differencebetween the meanbloodpressurebefore and afteradministration oftomatojuiceto the increase inbloodpressurep(0.000) <α (0.05).It’smeans thatin patent with hypotension effective to increase blood pressure. Abstract

Abstract Cigarrete  is one of the tobacco products that are intended to be burned and to be inhaled. This study aims to determine the correlation of adolescent’s perception about the discourses of increasing cigarette price on adolescent’s smoking habit in SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru. This study used a study descriptions correlation design  and cross sectional approach. The study samples are 184 respondents that was taken based on inclusion criteria using stratified random sampling technique. Measuring instrument that used was a structured questionnaire that designed by the researchers to measure adolescent’s  perceptions about discourses of increasing cigarette price against the smoking habit in adolescents. Questionnaire for adolescent’s perception about discourses of increasing cigarette price against the smoking habit in adolescents  have been tested for validity with value (r = 0.467 to 0.890), and have been tested reliability with cronbach alpha value s= 0,813.  Data were analyzed by chi-square test and the result is confirm that there’s a correlation between adolescent’s perception about the discourses of increasing cigarette price on adolescent’s smoking habit with p value (0,014) > a (0,05), based on the results of the study are expected  to students who smoke, to try reduce smoking habit  and to motivate themselves and do positive perseption with the larger strategy and precise if the cigarette price is increasing. Keywords: adolescent’s perception about the discourses of increasing cigarette price,adolescent’s smoking habit

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to know the analysis of adolescents sexual behavior with disabilities in SLB Negeri Pembina Pekanbaru. Sexual behavior is behavior that is driven by sexual desire, both with the opposite sex or the same sex. Adolescents are individuals who were in the period of transition from childhood into adulthood, beginning around 10 years old to 13 years old and ended between the ages of 18 years old to 22 years old, and is characterized with a very rapid development from physical, psychological and sosial aspects. While disability is a defeciency that causes imperfect due to accident or other which causes the limitations on himself/ herself physically. This research uses quantitative approach with descriptive methods. The subject selection tecnique used total sampling that is 50 students. Interview by using picture is used to collect the data. The results of this study indicates the form of risky sexual behaviors such as kissing lips 12 students (24%) and palpating the sensitive body 8 students (16%). While unrisky behavior such as holding hand 36 students (72%), kissing cheek 23 students (46%), cuddle 28 students (56%) and masturbation 21 students (42%). The recomendation in this study is a practical action that can be adapted by parents or teachers to provide sex education for disabilities adolescents. Abstract

Introduction: Providing a warm feeling to a particular area of one of the lower backs using warm water and a jar generates warmth on parts of the body to reduce pain. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of warm compresses against back pain in third trimester pregnant women in a Public Health Center in Pekanbaru. Methods: The study used a quasi-experiment design with a non-equivalent control group research design employing a purposive sampling technique with a total sample of 30 respondents. The measuring instrument used is the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). Statistical analysis used the dependent t-test and independent t-test. Results: Univariate analysis results showed that 90.0% of respondents were 20-35 years old, while the distribution of high school education level was 36.7%. The highest distribution of work as housewives was 43.3%, with the highest gravida status being multiparous was 50.0%. The majority of the Minang respondents were 40.0%. The highest gestational age was 30 weeks experienced by 23.3% respondents. The average pain intensity of the pretest experimental group was 4.53 and the posttest value was 3.07, with a difference of 146, while the control group pretest control group was 4.40 and posttest which was 4.07, there was no significant difference between the pre-test and post-test in the control group. The results of statistical analysis showed that p value = 0.001 <α (0.05), so it was found that the warm compress effectively reduces the intensity of back pain in third trimester pregnant women. The warm compress can be recommended as a complementary therapy for back pain.

Abstract

Stroke is the symptoms that occur because of disruption of blood supply to the brain caused by broken or blocked blood vessels. general signs that happens in post-stroke patients such us will be changes in one side of the body, difficulty in speaking, walking, and loss of consciousness.  This incident will affect personal life and dependence on others, especially family. Positive family support will affect the feelings and responsss of patients to the health conditions which called coping macanism. To determine family support with coping mechanism of post-stroke patients. The method used is a literature review study obtained from searching research articles using the keywords Family Support AND Post-Stroke OR Coping Mechanisms AND Post-Stroke according to the inclusion criteria is articles published in 2016-2020. Data Source: GoogleSchoolar, Semantic Schoolar. Based on 6 reviewed journals obtained 4 of journals discussing family support in stroke patients, informational and emotional support is the most commonly received support of patients, 1 journal discussing coping mechanisms in stroke patients states that more than half of stroke patient respondents have maladaptive coping mechanisms, 1 journal discussing family social support interventions affecting the improvement of adaptive coping mechanisms. Based on the literature review of 6 journals found family support is very important for coping mechanisms of patients after stroke. Keyword: coping mechanisms; family support;and post stroke

Abstract

Introduction. Improving the quality of education makes a shift in educational paradigm in Indonesia. Conventional teacher-centered curricula is changing to competency-based curricula (CBC) with focus on student-centered learning. The purpose of this study was to identify relationship between the implementation of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) method in CBC with students’ soft skills. Method. The study design was cross sectional correlation with 97 respondents as the sample. Analysis of the data using univariate and bivariate analysis with the test used was the chi square test. Results. The results of the study showed that there was no relationship in the implementation of PBL method in CBC with students’ soft skills (ρ = 0.646). Discussion. Based on the results, this study suggested to the academic head officer of PSIK UR to be able to evaluate periodically the implementation of CBC in order to achieve quality learning to produce students who can perform both hard skills and soft skills.
