Abstract

Abstract

Payment system has undergone continuous changes, and the evolving landscape shows how QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesia Standard) is changing Indonesian society preference of payment. The study explores the driving factors of users’ intention to adopt the QRIS through the lens of modified UTAUT framework to see whether users’ emotions correlate toward their Intention. Analysis is done through quantitative descriptive approach using PLS-SEM, with data collected from 109 QRIS users in the Greater Jakarta (Jabodetabek) area using a non-probability convenience sampling technique. The results show that Behavioral Intention has a significant effect on Intention to Use and bridges (mediates) the relationships between Social Influence, Effort Expectancy, and Performance Expectancy toward Intention to Use. In contrast, direct effects from Social Influence, Effort Expectancy, and Performance Expectancy have limited significance on Intention to Use. These findings suggest that QRIS adoption operates as a behavioral-driven process, highlighting the importance of strengthening users’ Behavioral Intentions to accelerate digital payment adoption. The study contributes to the digital payment literature by positioning QRIS as a transformative innovation in Indonesia’s payment system.

Abstract

This research examines the role of gold, foreign exchange, and Bitcoin as hedge, diversifier, and safe haven assets for the Indonesian stock market (IHSG). The study aims to identify alternative investment instruments that can serve as hedging tools, diversifiers, and safe havens during various crisis periods, including the European debt crisis (2011), taper tantrum (2013), China market crisis (2015), COVID-19 pandemic (2020), Russia–Ukraine war (2022), and Middle East geopolitical tensions (2025). Using daily data from July 2011 to December 2025, the analysis covers major crises including the European debt crisis, taper tantrum, COVID-19, the Russia–Ukraine war, and Middle East geopolitical tensions. The study applies Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) with crisis dummy variables and Dynamic Conditional Correlation Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity (DCC-GARCH). The findings show that foreign currencies, particularly the US Dollar, consistently function as the strongest safe haven assets for IHSG, followed by the Euro and Chinese Yuan. Gold demonstrates mixed characteristics depending on denomination and form. XAU/USD and ANTAM gold mainly act as diversifiers, while XAU/IDR serves as a weak safe haven due to exchange rate effects. Meanwhile, Bitcoin fails to function as a safe haven and behaves as a speculative risky asset during market crises. The study provides empirical evidence that safe haven characteristics are time-varying and asset-specific, offering practical implications for investment and portfolio diversification strategies, while emphasizing the importance of rupiah exchange rate stability and guiding future research directions.

Abstract

Abstract

This study investigates the determinants of customer trust in mobile banking within the context of Islamic banking by integrating three major theoretical frameworks: the Information Systems Success Model (ISSM), the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), and the Task-Technology Fit (TTF). A quantitative approach was employed using survey data collected from 348 respondents, and the data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings reveal that system quality, information quality, service quality, task characteristics, structural assurance, perceived usefulness, and perceived ease of use all have significant effects on trust. Among these factors, task characteristics emerge as the most dominant determinant, highlighting the critical role of aligning system functionalities with users' transactional needs. This study contributes to the literature by proposing an integrative framework that explains trust formation as a multidimensional construct shaped by the interaction of technological performance, user perception, and functional alignment. The findings extend prior research by demonstrating that trust is more strongly influenced by task-technology fit than by purely technical or institutional factors. Practically, the results suggest that banking institutions should prioritize user-centered design, real-time information accuracy, and responsive digital services to enhance trust in mobile banking. This study provides both theoretical advancement and actionable insights for improving digital banking strategies in Islamic financial institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the level of job satisfaction among Generation Z employees in the Jakarta Special Capital Region (DKI Jakarta). The analysis focuses on four variables considered to have potential influence on job satisfaction: leadership style, compensation, work environment, and organizational culture. These four aspects are treated as independent variables, while job satisfaction serves as the dependent variable whose relationship is examined. A quantitative approach was employed to process the collected data, utilizing the Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) method, specifically the Partial Least Squares (PLS) technique. Data analysis was conducted with the assistance of SmartPLS software. Primary data were obtained through online questionnaires distributed via Google Forms, targeting respondents categorized as Generation Z employees currently working in Jakarta. The findings reveal that leadership style and work environment have a significant and positive impact on job satisfaction. This suggests that effective leadership and a supportive work setting can enhance employees’ overall satisfaction. On the other hand, while compensation and organizational culture also show a positive relationship with job satisfaction, their influence is not statistically significant. In other words, these two variables do not exert a strong enough effect to explain the variations in job satisfaction among Generation Z employees within the scope of this study.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of organizational culture and organizational commitment on employee performance, with individual motivation as a moderating variable at PT. Bank Papua Biak Branch. The population consisted of 57 employees, including permanent, contract (PKWT), and interns, with sampling conducted using a non-probability technique. Data were analyzed using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). Results show that organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, indicating that stronger culture leads to higher performance. Meanwhile, organizational commitment has a positive but insignificant effect, suggesting that commitment alone is not sufficient to improve outcomes. Individual motivation strengthens the link between culture and performance, as motivated employees reinforce the role of culture in enhancing results. However, motivation does not moderate the relationship between commitment and performance. Based on these findings, management is advised to reinforce organizational culture through training, value dissemination, and exemplary leadership. Organizational commitment can be improved through participatory management, while motivation should be supported by fair rewards, career opportunities, recognition, and a positive work environment. Future studies are encouraged to explore other moderating variables, such as job satisfaction, organizational climate, or leadership style, for more comprehensive insights.

Abstract

The high employee turnover intention poses a serious challenge in retaining quality human resources at PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Papua. This phenomenon is triggered by several factors, including excessive workload, unsupportive work environment, low job satisfaction, and perceptions of job insecurity among employees. This study aims to analyze the influence of workload, work environment, job satisfaction, and job insecurity on employee turnover intention. The method used in this study is quantitative with a descriptive-verificative approach. The population in this study consists of all permanent employees of PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Papua, and the sample is determined through purposive sampling with 100 respondents. Data collection is conducted through questionnaires, and data analysis uses Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS SEM). The results show that workload and job insecurity have a significant positive effect on turnover intention, while work environment and job satisfaction have a significant negative effect. This means that the heavier the workload and the higher the job insecurity, the greater the employee's desire to leave. Conversely, a conducive work environment and high job satisfaction can reduce turnover intention. This research emphasizes the importance of management in fairly managing workload, enhancing job security, fostering a positive work atmosphere, and prioritizing employee welfare as part of retention strategies.
