Abstract

Pemprov Sumatera Barat berupaya membangun daerahnya menjadi propinsi yang kuat secara ekonomi. Survei kependudukan 2020, menunjukkan populasi penduduk Indonesia, begitupula dengan Sumatera Barat didominasi oleh Milenial Gen-Z. Inovatif, kreatif dan produktif adalah karakter generasi tersebut. Pemprov Sumatera Barat ingin mencetak dan membina mereka agar berwirausaha, untuk mengatasi isu pengangguran maupun kurangnya modal bisnis yang mendominasi generasi ini. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menjelaskan pemberdayaan komunikasi pembangunan program Entrepreneur Success Challenge (ESC) untuk menjaring calon pengusaha muda milenial Gen-Z di Sumatera Barat. Paradigma penelitian yang digunakan adalah konstruktivisme dengan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dan desain studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan populasi Sumatera Barat didominasi Milenial Gen-Z yang melek teknologi dan punya semangat wirausaha tinggi. Pemprov Sumatera Barat melihat peluang tingginya populasi mereka untuk mengembangkan ekonomi di wilayahnya. Program ESC adalah kegiatan kreasi dan inovasi dalam wirausaha. Program ESC mengundang Milenial Gen-Z Sumatera Barat untuk berpartisipasi dalam lomba yang merebutkan tidak hanya hadiah uang untuk modal, juga pendampingan dan edukasi bagi pemenangnya sampai menjadi pengusaha muda yang sukses. Program ESC menjadi strategi komunikasi pembangunan Pemprov Sumatera Barat untuk mencetak 100 Pengusaha Minang Milenial Gen-Z.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pola komunikasi orang tua dalam membentuk karakter anak; studi kasus di Kelurahan Kramat, Jakarta Pusat. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif. Informan yang terlibat berjumlah 8 orang, terdiri dari keluarga Pak Rusdi beserta anak dan keluarga Bapak Sobirin beserta anak sebagai informan utama, serta 2 orang kerabat dari kedua keluarga tersebut sebagai informan tambahan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola komunikasi yang diterapkan oleh orang tua, seperti pola komunikasi demokratis yang digunakan oleh keluarga Pak Rusdi dan komunikasi yang lebih fleksibel tetapi tetap berusaha dilakukan oleh keluarga Bapak Sobirin, memiliki implikasi positif terhadap pembentukan karakter anak. Anak-anak yang menerima komunikasi terbuka, dukungan emosional, dan nasihat yang konstruktif dari orang tua cenderung mengembangkan karakter yang kuat, mandiri, dan positif. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pola komunikasi orang tua yang baik dan efektif sangat penting dalam membentuk karakter anak yang positif. Oleh karena itu, disarankan agar orang tua terus meningkatkan kualitas komunikasi dengan anak-anak mereka untuk mendukung perkembangan karakter yang sehat dan positif.

Abstract

Analyze TikTok content in the Political Communication of Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidates with a focus on "Generation Z". This study analyzes TikTok content in the political communication of presidential and vice presidential candidates in the 2024 Election using the new media method by Pierre Levy, focusing on Generation Z. Generation Z, as digital natives, has unique characteristics in consuming political information through social media such as TikTok. This study uses a qualitative approach and content analysis to explore how presidential and vice presidential candidates use TikTok to convey political messages, build images, and influence public opinion. Data were collected from the official TikTok accounts of presidential and vice presidential candidates during the campaign period. The results of the study show that TikTok is effective in attracting the attention of Generation Z through creative, concise, and easy-to-understand content. Visual elements, the use of popular music, and direct interaction increase political participation and engagement of Generation Z. This study provides important insights for political communication strategies in the digital era, as well as practical demonstrations for politicians in designing more effective and inclusive campaigns.

Abstract

This reserach aims to analyze visual special effects in fantasy films with a focus on the film "Spider-Man: No Way Home". Compositing theory and a qualitative methodology were employed in this study. This film was chosen as a case study because of its complex and innovative use of visual effects. This research uses visual analysis methods to identify the special effects visual elements used in this film. Compositing theory is used to understand how various visual elements are combined to create complex and realistic scenes. The use of CGI technology in films is also analyzed to reveal its impact on the viewing experience. The analysis results show that the use of visual special effects in "Spider-Man: No Way Home" is very successful in creating an immersive fantasy world for the audience. The combination of digital characters with real backgrounds gives a real and stunning impression. In addition, CGI technology has made it possible to create spectacular and stunning action scenes. In conclusion, the film "Spider-Man: No Way Home" is an excellent example of the application of visual special effects in the fantasy genre. The use of qualitative methods and compositing theory in this analysis provides a deep understanding of the complexity of the techniques used to create the stunning visual effects in this film.

Abstract

The research objective is to explain and evaluate the Depok City Government's communication strategy in the 3R campaign through the Waste Bank to create a clean and healthy environment. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design to explore the Depok City Government's communication strategy in the 3R campaign through the Waste Bank. Primary data was obtained through in-depth interviews and FGDs with City Government officials, Waste Bank managers and the community, while secondary data was taken from official documents and media publications. Data was analyzed using thematic analysis techniques to identify key themes, patterns and relevant relationships, providing a comprehensive picture of the success of the 3R campaign in Depok. The result of this work is that the Depok community's awareness of the importance of 3R has increased significantly with active participation in seminars, workshops and training organized by the Depok City Government. The effectiveness of the Waste Bank and the use of social media and information technology has succeeded in reducing the amount of waste in landfills and empowering the community in managing household waste. Collaboration between the City Government, the private sector and local communities through CSR support and active participation of environmental communities has had a positive impact. Regular evaluation and improvement of infrastructure is a priority for the Depok City Government, with incentives and rewards to encourage community participation, ensuring the sustainability of the 3R program.

Abstract

This study investigates the role of interpersonal communication that influences marital relationship harmony among young adults in Pulogebang Subdistrict. The primary objective of this research is to understand how effective interpersonal communication contributes to the formation and maintenance of harmonious marital relationships amidst the complexities of urban life. The findings indicate that effective interpersonal communication involves active listening, mutual respect, and honest, open communication. These factors play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of marital relationships, strengthening emotional bonds between partners, and reducing potential harmful conflicts. This research aims to provide both theoretical and practical contributions by expanding our understanding of the importance of interpersonal communication in supporting marital relationship sustainability. It is hoped that this study will serve as a reference for public policy and further research development in the fields of interpersonal communication and marital life.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the audience's reception position toward the “Prabowo Menjawab” episode on Narasi TV’s YouTube channel using Stuart Hall’s decoding theory. The research employs a qualitative approach through observation and interviews. A total of 30 comments were selected from 7,866 comments based on popularity (number of likes, replies, and posting time within the past two months), while interviews were conducted with four informants who had fully watched the video. The findings indicate that the majority of audiences occupy the oppositional decoding position, consciously rejecting the narrative and interpreting the program as a form of political image-building. Some audiences fall into the negotiated position, partially accepting the message while maintaining a critical stance toward its substance. Only a small portion of the audience demonstrates a dominant-hegemonic stance, showing full acceptance of the message. These results suggest that audiences are active in interpreting media content and that media constructions are not always received passively, but can be negotiated or even resisted.

Abstract

TikTok merupakan platform interaktif dan mudah dijangkau, berperan dalam pilihan pembelian produk skincare. Ini juga memenuhi keperluan fisiologis, sosial, ego, dan aktualisasi diri generasi Z. Namun, pengeluaran impulsif yang berlebihan, yang disebut doomspending, dipengaruhi oleh konten yang sedang tren dan tekanan dari lingkungan sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganilisis konten produk skincare dalam fenomena doomspending di kalangan Gen Z. Ini terutama berhubungan dengan fenomena yang dikenal sebagai doomspending, yaitu kebiasaan mengeluarkan uang secara berlebihan untuk mengatasi rasa cemas tentang masa depan serta belanja karena konten produk skincare yang lagi viral/tren. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif meliputi wawancara semi terstruktur yang mendalam dan observasi non-partisipan pada konten produk skincare di TikTok. Informan dalam penelitian ini dari generasi Z yang sering menggunakan TikTok untuk mendapatkan informasi dan inspirasi terkait produk skincare. Teori yang diterapkan termasuk Hierarki Kebutuhan Maslow dan teori New Media oleh Pierre Lévy, yang menguraikan peran kebutuhan psikologis serta sifat media baru terhadap perilaku konsumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukan pentingnya bagi konsumen untuk memiliki kesadaran dan bagi pembuat konten untuk bertanggung jawab dalam menyajikan materi edukasi yang adil. Studi ini membantu kita memahami bagaimana konsumen berperilaku di era digital, terutama dalam bidang Ilmu Komunikasi dan pemasaran melalui media sosial.

Abstract

Coverage of Seventeen's "Right Here" concert in Jakarta reported by online media Detik.com and Kompas.com. Through the selection, emphasis, and arrangement of information in news texts, mass media play an important role in shaping public opinion. In this study, a qualitative approach was used, and the framing analysis method of the Pan & Kosicki model (1993) was employed. This model includes four discourse structures: syntax, script, thematic, and rhetorical. Data was collected from eight news articles published from February 4-10, 2025. The results of the analysis showed that Detik.com framed the news in a sensational style, emphasized conflict and public emotions, and used quotes from social media. Meanwhile, Kompas.com framed the issue with a neutral narrative style, emphasizing institutional information structures and official statements.Both media show their own journalistic features through their framing. This study found that framing shapes social meanings and perceptions of popular culture events in addition to conveying facts. These results support mass communication research and show how important media literacy is to understand the construction of reality made by online media.

Abstract

This study uses Roland Barthes' semiotic approach to investigate the representation of moral values in the movie Boleh Boleh Sekali Sekali Kumenangis. The movie contains relevant social issues such as emotional trauma, family conflict, and courage to face the pressure of patriarchal culture. This is the reason why this movie was chosen. Semiotic analysis was used, with an emphasis on denotative, connotative, and mythical meanings that appear in the visual story, dialog, and gestures of the characters. The research shows that the visual symbols, character changes, and internal conflict dynamics show moral values such as courage, emotional honesty, and responsibility. Tari, the main character, serves as a representation of women's courage to break the chain of domestic violence, and her father serves as a representation of self-awareness to admit mistakes. The results show that movies can be an effective tool for teaching morals and also a place for social thinking. This study reaches the conclusion that Barthes' semiotic approach is relevant to examine films as ideological and non-neutral cultural products. It is hoped that this study will become a reference for the study of film, communication, and character education in Indonesia.
