Abstract

Penyampaian informasi melalui saluran transmisi harus berjalan dengan maksimal (maximum  power transfer) agar komunikasi berjalan dengan baik dan tepat. Impedance matching circuit  (IMC) merupakan penyesuaian impedansi dimana penyesuaian nilai impedansi dilakukan pada bagian input dan output agar dihasilkan transfer daya yang maksimum. Perhitungan impedansi pada saluran transmisi ada 2 cara yang paling sering digunakan yaitu dengan cara matematis dan dengan grafik smitch chart manual. Metode smitch chart manual memiliki proses yang lebih lama sehingga membutuhkan ketelitian agar akurat dengan waktu yang minimal. Adanya bantuan penggunaan perangkat lunak diperlukan agar dapat memaksimalkan proses belajar. Kegiatan program pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan sosialisasi perhitungan penyesuai impedansi dengan aplikasi open souce Smitchart oleh pengembang Eric Ong melalui playstore android. Proses penyesuaian impedansi yang dilakukan adalah dengan rangkaian single double Stub Matching, Transformer Matching (seperempat-gelombang, Binomial, Chebyshev transformer), Stripline dan kalkulator Microstrip.Kata Kunci: Impedance matching circuit  (IMC), playstore android, Smitchart.

Abstract

This research raises the topic of modern technology in the field of rice fields. The problem in this research is determining the fuzzy inference system algorithm for electronic engineering. The prototype was built by Raspberry Pi and python-based to the internet of things. The objective of this research is to design a new model for the rice field monitoring/control system and display every condition based on the internet of things. So that the hypothesis of this research can answer the phenomena that occur in rice fields, including drought problems, maintained plant conditions. The test results showed that irrigation control automatically runs optimally by scheduling, automatic irrigation control of water pH degree value detection analyzed by fuzzy Tsukamoto method at Z=3.5 defuzzification value for low and high irrigation control, and Z value=1.83 for normal irrigation control. Furthermore, the scheduling of spraying liquid fertilizer obtained the results of duration for 60 min in accordance with the needs of fertilizer dose. Lastly, for monitoring data on the website successfully accessed anywhere from the use of hosting servers and domains. Finally, it can be concluded that fuzzy Tsukamoto's algorithm is appropriate to be applied to the modern rice field system.

Abstract

[Bahasa]: Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat (PKBM) Widya Utama di Kembangan Utara Jakarta Barat memiliki permasalahan terkait masih minimnya kemampuan lulusan dalam bidang teknologi listrik. Padahal kemampuan tersebut merupakan bekal penunjang ketika lulusan terjun dalam dunia kerja. Oleh karena itu diperlukan upaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan lulusan dalam bidang teknologi listrik melalui program yang dilaksanakan secara berkala dan berkesinambungan. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan kemampuan kepada siswa PKBM Widya Utama terkait listrik tanpa kabel (wireless electric). Pelatihan dilaksanakan di dormitory laboratorium teknik elektro Universitas Mercu Buana Meruya melalui penjelasan sejarah dan teori singkat mengenai mini tesla coil serta merakit komponen-komponen sistem listrik tanpa kabel. Metode yang digunakan dalam program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR) melalui proses pengujian laboratory mengenai aplikasi mini tesla coil pada lampu TL dan speaker aktif melalui mp3 telepon seluler. Tahap selanjutnya adalah demo alat, pengujian dan analisa sederhana dimana peserta mengisi lembar evaluasi sebagai upaya perbaikan pelatihan selanjutnya. Hasil program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini menunjukkan bahwa lebih dari 83% dari peserta memiliki minat yang sesuai dengan pelatihan yang diberikan. Lebih dari 70% pesrta dapat menyerap pengetahuan tersebut. Lebih dari 80% peserta merasakan interaksi dan keaktifan dari tutor/pelatih selama pelatihan berlangsung. Selanjutnya lebih dari 70% peserta menyatakan bahwa tujuan pelatihan telah tercapai. Kata Kunci: lampu TL, listrik tanpa kabel, mini tesla coil [English]: The Widya Utama community learning activity center (PKBM) school in the North development of West Jakarta has a problem regarding graduates who need more skills in the field of electrical technology. Whereas these abilities are supporting provisions when graduates become workers. Therefore, some efforts are needed to improve graduates' ability in electrical technology through regular training programs. This community service program aimed at providing skills to PKBM Widya Utama students related to wireless electricity. The training was held in the dormitory of the electrical engineering laboratory of Mercu Buana University Meruya through a brief historical and theoretical explanation of the mini tesla coil and the assembly of the components of the wireless electrical system. The method used in this community service program was Participatory Action Research (PAR) through a laboratory testing process regarding the application of mini tesla coil on TL lamps and active speakers via mp3 cellular phones. The next stage is a tool demo, testing, and simple analysis where participants fill out an evaluation sheet to improve further training. The results showed that more than 83% of the participants were interested in the training process. More than 70% of participants could absorb the knowledge. More than 80% of the participants experienced the interaction and activeness of the trainers during the training. Abstract

The satellite communication system that is used for ship communication in Indonesian waters is expected to transmit real time data at any time under any conditions. However, currently, the Vsat Gyrsoscope antenna that is installed on the Pelni ship still uses the Ku band frequency. This frequency band is very susceptible to rain attenuation. Vsat Gyro will automatically search for satellites that cover it. Only when it is raining and the ship is moving towards the port, is there a decrease in the receiving power level. SNR and power and C/N will drop. Therefore, it is necessary to do an analysis to overcome this problem so that it is not disconnected during the transmission. This study conducted an analytical study to validate the analytical predictions of phasing the vsat power signal level on the pelni ship to maintain communication during sea operations, which are included in TKT 3 (three). The tools used in the measurement are vsat modem, PRTG application, laptop, RJ 45 cable, and Spectrum Analyzer. By optimizing the calculation of the margin link budget, the calculation of Qos and the parameters vsat Eb/No, C/N and SNR when adjusted to the operating conditions of the ship with high rain intensity so that communication can continue to run even when the worst conditions can be maintained properly.

Abstract

PLTS Hybrid adalah salah satu jenis pembangkit listrik tenaga surya yang juga menggunakan baterai sebagai penyimpanan energi listrik dan masih terhubung dengan jaringan PLN, supaya untuk menutupi kekurangan pasokan energi listrik terhadap beban (impor) maupun menyalurkan energi berlebih saat PLTS produksi berlebih dan energi beban sudah terpenuhi serta energi baterai juga terpenuhi (ekspor). Oleh karena itu pada penelitian kali ini membahas mengenai dua sumber pembangkit ketika sinkron (PLTS dan PLN) yang mana dibutuhkan system anti islanding yang baik supaya tidak terjadi islanding yang dapat mempengaruhi masalah kualitas daya, integritas sistem, serta keamanan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan membandingkan data ketika saat jaringan PLN belum tersinkron dengan PV (photovoltaick), sesudah tersinkron dengan PV, belum tersinkron dengan baterai, sesudah tersinkron dengan baterai dan pengaruh beban terhadap keandalan system. Dimana nantinya akan diketahui data-data yang membuat system islanding terjadi dan dibutuhkan metode anti islanding yang tepat.Kata kunci: PLTS Hybrid, sinkron, islanding, anti islanding

Abstract

The high level of power outage in Sukabumi-Cianjur area has influenced the operations of telecommunication industry in the vicinity. This has shortened the battery life at the Base Station (BTS). This study aims to analyze the performance of a (new) VRLA battery against a DC load (BTS) to support the continuity of BTS operation in case of a power outage. The research method used is a (new) battery charge-discharge procedure. Parameters are analyzed by determining the on-site battery discharge duration, the pressure at the battery terminals between cells during backup, and the capacity of the rectifier module to support fast charging. To support fast charging, the rectifier with the formula N+1 and C-rate is 10% and C15 is 15% of the battery capacity. The internal impedance value is 3.4 mΩ and the battery terminal pressure (torque) is 9-11 N/m. The battery performance analysis of the four BTS shows that two of them managed to do a backup, while the other two did not provide good performance.

Abstract

Along with the increasing demand for data networks, on the Java island network traffic, especially the Surabaya - Bangil link, the operator increases the channel capacity by modernizing DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) technology in its transmission equipment. At that time, the DWDM technology was DWDM 6800 with a maximum capacity of one port that could only accommodate 10 Gbit/s, while using DWDM 9800, the maximum capacity of one port could accommodate up to 100 Gbit/s. Modernization of DWDM 6800 to DWDM 9800 technology uses the cross-connect method so that it does not require many costs and can be done within a short duration of time so that network performance can be adequately maintained. As a result, after modernization, the network has sufficient reserves to cover demand for the next few years.

Abstract

All individuals really need technology to accelerate development or enhance the development of both individuals and groups. A smart door lock is a feature embedded in a smart home to make everyday life easier. Given the importance of security for valuables stored in the house and the fact that security is required in accessing the house, the research was conducted with the goal of helping meet the needs of an easy-to-implement home security system. By utilizing the Raspberry Pi minicomputer as a processor, the webcam as a face detector, and Voice Command for detecting voice codes, which will then be processed by the Raspberry Pi using OpenCV to determine whether a human face is there or not, calculating the distance between facial features such as eyes, nose, and mouth as well as the code, the given vote is either true or false. After the face is recognized and the sound code is correct, the Raspberry Pi will issue an order to the servo to open the solenoid so that the home door can be accessed by the home owner, and there will be a message sent via telegram if someone tries to access this system. Based on the system tests that have been carried out, it turns out that the facial recognition system has an accuracy of 75%, a positive error of 25%, and a negative error of 0%, so it can be concluded that this system is safe enough to be applied in a home door security system.
