Abstract

Mathematics is an abstract science and is quite closely related to everyday life and its existence can fulfill students' skills outside of school. However, the reality in the field shows that students' lack of interest in learning mathematics is due to inadequate learning media in delivering mathematics. This research is aimed at finding the influence of the existence of digital comics on students' interest in learning in mathematics lessons. The method used in this research is the literature study method to examine various library sources that are relevant to the research topic. Based on the results of the literature study, it shows that there is an influence between before and after the implementation of digital comics in the classroom.

Abstract

Teachers have a strategic role in the world of education, not only delivering learning materials, teachers also play a role in providing good examples for students. In practice, teachers are expected to be good examples for students, especially in instilling the values ​​of discipline. However, over time the discipline of elementary school students has decreased. This can be seen from the number of students who do not obey the rules at school. The purpose of this study is to explain the role of teachers in fostering a disciplined attitude in students at the elementary school level. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with data collection in the form of observation, interviews, and studies of relevant research literature. The results of this study indicate that teachers have a very important role in fostering a disciplined attitude in students. Through various methods such as giving examples, providing motivation, and implementing rewards and punishments. Thus, the role of teachers is very important in fostering a disciplined attitude in elementary school students

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kepercayaan diri dengan hasil belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar di Kelurahan Rawamangun, Jakarta Timur. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasari oleh fenomena variasi hasil belajar IPS siswa di beberapa sekolah di Kelurahan Rawamangun, yang diduga berkaitan dengan tingkat kepercayaan diri siswa yang juga beragam. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasional. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 84 siswa kelas IV dari salah satu SD Negeri yang dipilih melalui teknik cluster random sampling. Instrumen penelitian mencakup angket skala Likert untuk mengukur kepercayaan diri dan tes pilihan ganda, angket sikap, serta rubrik penilaian untuk mengukur hasil belajar IPS berdasarkan ranah pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara kepercayaan diri dan hasil belajar IPS siswa hal ini dibuktikan dengan nilai signifikansi 0.000 < 0.05 dan nilai t-hitung > t-tabel yaitu 8.966 > 1.66365. Maka dari itu, ini membuktikan bahwa semakin tinggi tingkat kepercayaan diri siswa, maka semakin tinggi pula hasil belajar IPS yang dicapainya. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi guru dan pemangku kepentingan pendidikan dalam merancang strategi pembelajaran yang mampu meningkatkan kepercayaan diri siswa guna menunjang hasil belajar mereka.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan masalah dalam penerapan Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS) di sekolah dasar, khususnya di SDN Johar Baru 03 Pagi. Peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, di mana peneliti turun langsung ke lapangan untuk melakukan kegiatan observasi dan wawancara terkait permasalahan dalam penerapan literasi di sekolah. Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan wawancara menunjukkan bahwa masih terdapat masalah yang dihadapi dalam penerapan GLS diantaranya yaitu minat baca siswa yang rendah, kurangnya sarana dan prasarana, serta tidak adanya penggerak literasi di Sekolah, sehingga pelaksanaan GLS masih dikatakan belum optimal.

Abstract

Penelitian yang dilakukan bertujuan mengidentifikasi pola kesalahan penulisan huruf kapital pada teks deskripsi peserta didik sekolah dasar, melalui kajian literatur. Berdasarkan ulasan terhadap tujuh artikel ilmiah terindeks SINTA, ditemukan bahwa aspek menulis penggunaan kaidah huruf kapital masih menjadi kendala utama. Metode yang digunakan adalah literature review dengan kerangka Snyder (2020), meliputi perancangan ulasan, penelusuran literatur, analisis kritis, dan penulisan ulasan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan tiga jenis kesalahan dominan: (1) penempatan huruf kapital di tengah kata, (2) kegagalan memulai kalimat dan nama diri dengan huruf besar, serta (3) ketidaktepatan penggunaan pada nama tempat, hari, dan gelar. Faktor penyebab masalah tersebut, meliputi rendahnya motivasi belajar, minimnya latihan praktik menulis, penggunaan metode ceramah, dan keterbatasan media pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya penerapan strategi pembelajaran menulis yang interaktif dan berkelanjutan, peningkatan pelatihan guru, serta dukungan lingkungan keluarga. Penelitian diharapkan mampu memperbaiki kompetensi penulisan huruf kapital dan meningkatkan kualitas teks deskripsi peserta didik sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Success in a learning process cannot be separated from the existence of adequate resources, one of which is the source of teaching materials. Of all the existing teaching materials, especially in elementary schools, not all teaching materials are able to synergize between teachers and students. Problems arise when the existing teaching material resources are not serialized properly and correctly. The objectives of this study include (1) theoretically reviewing the concept of RECE model social studies teaching materials (2) analyzing field needs related to appropriate teaching materials, (3) developing a draft concept of RECE model social studies teaching materials (4) validating the concept of RECE model social studies teaching materials based on social literacy and local wisdom (5) finalizing the product concept of RECE model social studies teaching materials based on social literacy and local wisdom (6) disseminating the concept of teaching materials. The research method that will be used in this study is the research and development method of the 4D Thiagarajan RnD model. The average percentage results from the material, language and media experts as a whole are 86.2% and can be categorized as a very feasible product, which means the RECE teaching model is suitable for use. Then in the one to one trial, the final recapitulation of the average value was 83% and was categorized as valid, then in the small group test with an average result of 86% and was categorized as very valid and finally the field test with an average result of 90.3% with a very valid category and suitable for use without the need for revision. It can be concluded that the product developed in the form of RECE model teaching materials is a very feasible product and can be used as teaching materials in social studies subjects in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between gender and learning motivation with critical thinking skills among fourth-grade students in Social Studies (IPS) at elementary schools in Pegadungan Urban Village. The background of this research is based on the importance of critical thinking as a 21st-century skill that students must possess, particularly in understanding and analyzing social phenomena discussed in Social Studies. This research employed a quantitative approach using a correlational method. The sample consisted of 106 students selected through disproportionate stratified random sampling from four public elementary schools in Pegadungan. The instruments used included an essay test to measure critical thinking skills and a learning motivation questionnaire developed based on Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory. The results showed that gender and learning motivation simultaneously had a significant relationship with students’ critical thinking skills, with a multiple correlation coefficient (R) of 0.412 and a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.169. This indicates that 16.9% of the variance in critical thinking ability can be explained by the combination of gender and learning motivation. The F-test yielded a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating that the regression model is statistically significant. Partially, learning motivation had a significant relationship with critical thinking skills, while gender did not. These findings suggest that learning motivation plays a more dominant role in influencing students’ critical thinking skills compared to gender. This research implies that teachers and schools should place greater emphasis on enhancing students’ learning motivation to support the development of their critical thinking abilities.
