Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplor komunikasi dan penalaran matematika siswa dalam tahap model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) komunikasi dan penalaran matematika siswa pada tahap membaca, siswa dengan kategori kemampuan tinggi membaca dan memahami materi pelajaran secara bermakna. Siswa dengan kategori kemampuan sedang membaca dan memahami materi pelajaran secara bermakna. Siswa dengan kategori kemampuan rendah membaca materi pelajaran namun tidak mampu memahami teks secara bermakna. (2) komunikasi dan penalaran matematika siswa pada tahap diskusi kelompok ahli, siswa dengan kategori kemampuan tinggi efektif melakukan komunikasi dan penalaran matematika menjelaskan pernyataan matematika secara lisan atau tertulis.   Siswa dengan kategori kemampuan sedang efektif melakukan komunikasi dan penalaran matematika mendengar pernyataan matematika dan membantu temannya menyelesaikan masalah matematika. Siswa dengan kategori kemampuan rendah efektif melakukan komunikasi dan penalaran matematika mendengar pernyataan matematika (3) komunikasi dan penalaran matematika siswa pada tahap diskusi kelompok asal,  siswa dengan  kategori  kemampuan  tinggi  efektif  melakukan  komunikasi dan penalaran matematika menjelaskan pernyataan matematika secara lisan atau tertulis dan mendengar pernyataan matematika. Siswa dengan kategori kemampuan sedang efektif melakukan komunikasi dan penalaran matematika mendengar pernyataan matematika dan membantu teman menyelesaikan masalah matematika. Siswa dengan kategori kemampuan rendah efektif melakukan komunikasi dan penalaran matematika mendengar pernyataan matematika  dan  mulai  mampu  menjelaskan  pernyataan  matematika  secara  lisan  atau tertulis. (4) Komunikasi dan penalaran matematika siswa pada tahap tes, siswa dengan kategori kemampuan tinggi mencapai level 4. Siswa dengan kategori kemampuan sedang mencapai level 3-4. Siswa dengan kategori kemampuan rendah mencapai level 0-2.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan berpikir kritis tinggi, sedang dan rendah siswa dengan menggunakan 4 indikator berpikir kritis, yaitu mengidentifikasi, menggeneralisasi, merumuskan masalah kedalam model matematika dan mendeduksi pada kelas VII SMP Negeri 3 Pallangga pada materi pecahan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang dirancang untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kritis subjek berdasarkan tes berpikir kritis. Data yang diolah adalah kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dengan menggunakan soal berpikir kritis berdasarkan tes awal terlebih dahulu. Berdasarkan olahan data tersebut, Subjek yang berpikir kritis tinggi pada tahap mengidentifikasi, subjek mampu mengidentifikasikan konsep yang digunakan dari permasalahan yang disediakan, pada tahap menggeneralisasi dan melakukan operasi hitung subjek mampu menggeneralisasikan apa yang diketahui pada permasalahan dan yang ditanyakan pada setiap permasalahan yang disediakan dan menghitung dengan benar dan tepat, dan pada tahap merumuskan masalah ke model matematika subjek mampu merumuskan keterangan simbol dari model matematika yang telah ditentukan, dan pada tahap mendeduksi subjek mampu memberikan kesimpulan dari permasalahan itu. Subjek yang berpikir kritis sedang, pada tahap mengidentifikasi, subjek mampu mengidentifikasikan konsep yang digunakan dari permasalahan yang disediakan, pada tahap menggeneralisasi dan melakukan operasi hitung, subjek mampu menggeneralisasikan apa yang diketahui pada permasalahan dan yang ditanyakan pada setiap permasalahan yang disediakan tetapi kurang tepat pada proses menghitung, pada tahap merumuskan masalah ke model matematika subjek tidak mampu merumuskan keterangan simbol dari model matematika yang telah ditentukan, dan pada tahap mendeduksi subjek tidak mampu memberikan kesimpulan dari permasalahan itu. Subjek yang berpikir kritis rendah tidak dapat menjawab pada saat tes dan wawancara ke empat indikator berpikir kritis. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa subjek yang berpikir kritis tinggi dapat memenuhi keempat indikator berpikir kritis yaitu mengidentifikasi, menggeneralisasi, merumuskan masalah ke model matematika dan mendeduksi. Subjek yang berpikir kritis sedang hanya memenuhi 2 indikator berpikir kritis menggenaralisasi, mengidentifikasi. Sedangkan subjek yang berpikir kritis rendah tidak memenuhi satupun indikator berpikir kritis

Abstract

Desa Terampil program is an implementation of the awareness about the importance of mastering skills in using technology, especially in the fields of education and economy. This program was implemented by the KKN Tematik Team of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Negeri Makassar in two places, which are SMK Negeri 3 Bone and SMP Negeri 1 Libureng. The main objectives of this program are to improve the ability of teachers to use Canva in making learning media and disseminating information about the QRIS digital payment system. The results obtained are that teachers can use Canva in making learning media and students and teachers recognize and can use QRIS in transactions.

Abstract

Fuzzy sets use the basis of fuzzy logic to declare an object to be a member with the degree ofmembership ( ), but fuzzy logic violates the law of binary logic so that the assumption arises that fuzzylogic has the same problem with paradox. But the true value of fuzzy logic depends on the degree ofmembership it has so that a conclusion can be drawn from the large membership ranks, while the paradoxof its value cannot be drawn any conclusions. The paradox is a form of ground criticism that aims toexpress and determine the inconsistencies or contradictions that result from several mental experiments inmathematics, one of the paradoxes that is well-known in critics of set theory is Russel's paradox. The paradoxical solution of Russell by using fuzzy set theory concepts is that the degreeof membership is 0.5 and is 0.5.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze students’ errors and the factors that cause students’ errors in solving problems of two-variable linear equations system based on Newman’s stages viewed from initial mathematical ability. This research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The subject of this research is students grade IX that consists of six students which two people for each level of initial mathematical ability. Data collection techniques in this research are test and interview. The research instrument was used, namely the initial mathematical ability test, a diagnostic test of a two-variable linear equation system, and interview guidelines. The data analysis techniques in this study include the condensation of data, the presentation of data, and the verification or drawing of conclusions. The result shows that: (1) Students with high initial mathematical abilities make mistakes in processing skills and writing in answers; (2) Students with medium early mathematical abilities are making mistakes in understanding questions, transforming questions, processing skills, and writing answers; (3) Students with low initial mathematical abilities make errors in reading questions, misunderstanding questions, transformation, processing skills, and writing answers. The factors that most often cause students' errors in solving the Two-Variable Linear Equations System material problems are students being less thorough and hastily working on the questions, have not mastered the prerequisite material, and as the result of previous mistakes.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the ability of students in solving social arithmetic story problems. The type of research used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. There are six research subjects, namely, two high-ability students, two moderately capable students, and two low-ability students. The data collection technique in this research is by doing a social arithmetic test. The instruments used in data collection were written tests and interviews. The results showed that subjects with high mathematical ability (SKT), were able to write known and asked correctly, were able to write formulas, and students were able to solve verbal problems. Subjects with moderate mathematical ability (SKS), are able to determine what is known and asked, but are less able to write formulas, and are unable to solve verbal problems. Subjects with low mathematical ability (SKR), unable to write well known and asked, unable to write formulas, and unable to solve verbal problems. The results of this study are expected to add insight and improve students' abilities in solving math story problems related to the application of everyday life.

Abstract

This research aims to determine effectiveness of treffinger learning model with scientific approach to student’s higher order thinking skills of grade VIII SMP by referring to effectiveness of learning, namely students' higher order thinking skills, student activities, and student responses. This research is pre-experimental study with quantitative approach and sampling technique used is cluster random sampling. Data analysis technique used is descriptive and inferential analysis techniques. Results of descriptive analysis showed: (1) average results of students' pretest was 31.10 (bad category), average student posttest result was 54.22 (good enough category) (2) the posttest results showed that classical completeness was reached at 100% (21 students) achieved individual completeness, (3) average normalized gain was 0.33 (medium category), (4) average student activity was 3.67 (very good category), (5) average percentage of students who gave positive response of 92.06%. Inferential analysis results show: (1) average value of higher order thinking skills of students taught with treffinger learning models with scientific approach greater than 40 (good enough category), (2) average normalized gain value is greater than 0,3 (medium category), (3) there is a significant increase in learning outcomes on students' higher order thinking skills before and after application of treffinger learning model with scientific approach. From the results of this study it can be concluded that learning by applying the Treffinger learning model with scientific approach is effectively applied to students of grade VIII SMP.

Abstract

This research aim to analyze student ability of student's proportional reasoning in solving mathematics on circle topic. Two students from grade IX were selected as in term results of math pre-requisite ability test. then, proportional reasoning test was given to subject and interview related to it. Abstract

This study aims to describe the pedagogical content knowledge of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Department students of FMIPA with indicators of mastery knowledge, pedagogy knowledge, and subject knowledge related to their students. The subjects of this study were students of the Mathematics Department FMIPA UNM. This type of research is a quantitative and qualitative approach (Mix Method). Data was collected by giving pedagogical content knowledge test questions to 45 subjects and conducting semi-structured interviews to 2 randomly selected subjects. After obtaining information related to the subject's PCK level category, an analysis of the answers provided by the subject to describe the reasons the subject obtained the intended PCK level. The results showed that there were no students who obtained high levels of PCK.
