Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to see whether goal setting, self-efficacy, interest and peer support altogether have impact on self-regulated learning of students of STSN. Research population is 328 students of first to fourth year of STSN, while the sample is 291 students which filtered using convenience sampling method. This is a quantitative research. Research validity is examined using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). Data is analysed using multiple regression analysis. The result shows that goal setting, self-efficacy, interest and peer support altogether have impact on self-regulated learning. Variables of intensity, course efficacy, and intrinsic orientation have significant impact on self-regulated learning. While variables of content, roommate efficacy, social efficacy, affected related valence, value related valence, intrinsic orientation, tangible, belonging, appraisal, and self-esteem are statistically not proven to have an impact on self-regulated learning. In particular, this research shows that peer support independently has no effect on self-regulated learning meanwhile previous research has shown the opposite. Further research needs to consider the utilization of operational language which culturally appropriate regarding questionnaire drafting. It is because the questionnaire with the basis of local culture will ignite appropriate response from the respondents.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah penentuan tujuan, efikasi diri, minat dan dukungan teman sebaya berpengaruh bersama-sama terhadap regulasi diri mahasiswa Sekolah Tinggi Sandi Negara. Populasi penelitian adalah 328 mahasiswa STSN sedangkan sampel berjumlah 291 mahasiswa dengan menggunakan tehnik sampling convenience. Validitas alat ukur dianalisis dengan menggunakan CFA sedangkan data riset dianaisis dengan tehnik regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penentuan tujuan, efikasi diri, minat dan dukungan teman sebaya secara bersama-sama berpengaruh terhadap regulasi diri mahasiswa. Secara khusus riset ini menunjukkan bahwa dukungan teman sebaya tidak berpengaruh terhadap regulasi diri mahasiswa, artinya, riset ini berbeda  dengan hasil riset terdahulu yang menunjukkan bahwa dukungan teman sebaya berpengaruh terhadap regulasi diri. Penelitian lebih lanjut perlu mempertimbangkan penggunaan bahasa operasional yang sesuai dengan budaya terkait penyusunan kuesioner. Abstract

Religious conversion among Chinese citizens, including among artists of Chinese descent, is taking place amidst the prejudiced relationship between the Muslim natives and those of Chinese descent. Of course, this is interesting to understand. This research aims to examine the motives of religious conversion among celebrities of Indonesian-Chinese descent, especially non-Muslims to be a Muslim through Lewis Rambo's theory of Understanding Religious Conversion and its stages. This research uses qualitative methods with social media, especially YouTube, and leading and credible online news as sources of information and data. A number of individual cases representing a particular pattern are selected for analysis using strict qualitative analysis techniques. This research found 3 factors (personal, social, and Allah’s guidance) that motivated individuals of Chinese-Indonesian descent to make decisions about converting religions from non-Muslim to Muslim, namely personal, social, and guidance from Allah. In addition, this research also found that religious conversion experienced by individuals not only had an impact on individual change but also had an impact on changes in social relations in their daily lives. This study concludes that religious conversion among Chinese artists who are the subject of the study takes place through a long process, not for a moment or a short process.

Abstract

This research aims to test the influence of self-acceptance and religiosity on loneliness in adolescents. This research uses quantitative methods with multiple regression analysis. The subjects of this research were 405 adolescents aged 18-22 years who lived in Jabodetabek. The data collection technique uses a non-probability sampling method with accidental sampling type. The author used the UCLA Loneliness Scale Version 3 as a measuring tool for loneliness, the Berger Self-Acceptance Scale as a measuring tool for self-acceptance, and the Centrality of Religiosity Scale (CRS) as a measuring tool for religiosity. The results of this research show that there is a significant influence of self-acceptance and religiosity on loneliness in adolescents, with a contribution of 41.2%. When self-acceptance and religiousness are high, the level of loneliness among teens is low.

Abstract

Akulturasi Islam dan nilai lokal adalah fakta sejarah sosial yang dapat disaksikan sampai saat ini. Keberagamaan dan spiritualitas menjadi ranah utama di mana terjadi akulturasi di antara keduanya.Psikologi terutama psikologi lingkungan dan budaya melihat bahwa manusia tidak bisa dilepaskan dari ikatan lokal atau ikatan tempat. Ikatan seseorang dengan tempat tertentu menimbulkan proses timbal balik secara pikiran, emosi dan tindakan. Proses pikiran, emosi dan tindakan itu membawa seseorang atau kelompok untuk mengaitkan keberagamaan dan ritual keagamaan dengan nilai-nilai lokal yang mewarnai kehidupan individu dan kelompok. Artikel ini hendak menegaskan bahwa akulturasi Islam dan nilai lokal adalah proses psiko-sosial-keagamaan yang bisa dijelaskan secara ilmiah dari perspektif psikologi.

Abstract

This reasearch was done in order to know influence of self control toward anxiety of academicprocrastination among students joining in organizations of natural lovers. It used quantitativemethod by distributing scales of self control and anxiety of academic procrastination tostudents who have been chosen as samples. The result of reaserch showed that self control hasbig impact toward anxiety of academic procrastination among students. This researchsupported previous reasearches about anxiety of academic procrastination. Suggestions relatedto the result‟s research was discussed.

Abstract

Social loafing defined as the tendency to reduce in motivation and effort that occurs whenindividuals work collectively in groups than when they work individually. The main purposeof this article is to know the effect of group cohesiveness, self-efficacy, gender, and age on socialloafing. Total sample was 150 respondents from members of regional organizationparticipated in this research. Measuring instrument consists of social loafing refers toChidambaram & Tung (2005), scale of group cohesiveness use group environmentquestionnaire (GEQ) developed by Widmeyer, Brawley, and Carron (1985) and self efficacyrefers to Bandura (1986).The result of this study indicte group cohesiveness and self efficacyhave significant effecr on social loafing. Specifically, individual attraction to the group-social(ATG-S), individual attraction to the group-task (ATG-T) and the magnitude significantlyinfluence to social loafing.

Abstract

Adanya keinginan untuk mencapai keadilan bersama dengan menerapkan sistem demokrasi di Indonesia, nampaknya belum mencapai titik terang. Hal ini terlihat dari menurunnya indeks demokrasi di Indonesia serta meningkatnya sikap intoleransi empat tahun ke-belakang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh persepsi keterancaman, fundamentalisme dan kebencian terhadap intoleransi politik. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 361 mahasiswa UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta dengan menggunakan teknik non-probability sampling, yakni dengan menggunakan purposive sampling. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode analisis regresi berganda dengan bantuan software SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bawa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan persepsi keterancaman, fundamentalisme dan kebencian terhadap intoleransi politik dengan kontribusi sebesar 10,8 %. Adapun apabila melihat koefisien regresi dari masing-masing independent variable, hanya aspek realistic threat yang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap intoleransi politik

Abstract

This study aims to determine the construct validity of items in the religious tolerance scale constructed by Witenberg (2007). There are three aspects or dimensions of religious tolerance used in this scale: fairness, empathy, and reasonableness. This study examines the religious tolerance scale, particularly in Indonesia, using a psychological perspective. The sample is 360 students of Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University of Jakarta. The samples use non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling technique. This study uses Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) method and analyzed by software Lisrel 8.7. The results show that the religious tolerance model has a model fit, and this scale is unidimensional. From 30 items, item 12 of the fairness dimension is not valid.
