Abstract

This research is based on the background that the condition of some teenagers today tend to be anarchists, criminals, bullying, fights, sex before marriage, forgetting manners, losing manners, arrogant students have become a daily scene. This of course causes problems because these characters are not by the ideals of the Indonesian nation that formal school institutions were established to create a generation with noble character. and the impact of character education based on Islamic values. This research uses a qualitative approach with an analytical descriptive method. The method of collecting data is by using staged but still in-depth interviews and supported by observation and documentation data. Data analysis uses an interactive model, namely by reducing data, displaying data, and drawing conclusions. Abstract

This research departs from an idea of how to develop an Islamic-based Civics curriculum that can improve morality (character building or character). The research conductedat SMPN 1 Cileunyi, SMPN 1 Cilengkrang, and SMPN 2 Cimenyan. An Islamic-based Civics Curriculum development design can inspire independent learning in a student-centric learning process and an Islamic teacher. The core values Islamic values into goals, programs, implementation, and evaluation. The primary purpose of this study was to determine the implications of Islamic-based Civics Curriculum Development in Junior High Schools that internalize Islamic values. This research used qualitative research and development, a process or steps to develop a new product or improve an existing product, which can be accounted for. Data collection techniques were obtained using library research, observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation studies. The result shows the implementation of Islamic-based Civics curriculum is based on the Thirteenth Curriculum, yet, or although there are still embryos of Islamic religious, moral values, teachers provide spiritual support in the learning process; The teaching resources are indeed less mastered on religious material so that teachers are needed who have two competencies, namely the competence of Civics and religious material

Abstract

The research is a pragmatic study on positive politeness strategies employed by the main characters in “ Greatest Showman” and “Chappie” films in the context of differences certain the century society. the researcher use Brown and Levinson’s theory of positive politeness theory. Politeness is the way of self strategies in communication to others, in order to received their meanings well. The objectives of this research are to find out the types of positive politeness strategies by main character in the setting 19th Century society (Greatest Showman film) and 21st  Century setting society (Chappie film) and to find out factors affecting main character to choice that strategies. The researcher used a qualitative method since the data engaged are displayed in the form of strings of words. The result shows that Phineas in “Greatest Showman” that can be conclude  in 19th century society, generally showed social class, kept family relation well, and respected for abnormal people. Diffrent with Deon in “Chappie” film that can be conclude in 21st century society, people concern with technology development, a lot of gangster who do the crime, and people communicate only in certain interests.Keywords: Pragmatics, Politeness Strategy, Movie Script

Abstract

Education aims to develop the character of learners. To achieve this goal, teaching methods are necessary in education. So far, there has been no effective method applied in developing the character of learners. this research provides an overview of the level of discipline resulted from the ba’iat, as an effort to form the character of learners. It intends to find about how discipline is taught, implemented, and the supporting and inhibiting factors of the implementation of discipline as well as the impact of discipline teaching and implementation through bai’at in forming the character of learners. This research is based on a theoretical study which states that the implementation of discipline through bai’at can significantly improve discipline, and discipline is a key indicator of success in character formation. The success of learners in the formation of their character is, in some degree, influenced by the firmness of implementing the bai’at method. In this research, the author employed qualitative-descriptive method to find out how discipline is taught, how it is implemented, and what factors supportand inhibit the implementation and the teaching of discipline. The author also used quantitative method to determine the impact of teaching and the implementation of discipline through bai’at on the character formation of learners. The research was conducted at Pesantren Persatuan Islam 1 Bandung, and the respondents were 137 tenth grade Mualimien learners. The results of this study illustrate that the discipline teaching was in good category, with an average score of 3.562. The disciplinary implementation was also in good category, with an average score of 3.562. Then, the supporting and inhibiting factors were in the good category with an average score of 3.562. Finally, the impact of teaching and implementation of discipline through bai’at in the character formation of learners was in very good category, with an average score of 4.242. Thus, based on the results of the calculation, it is found that the teaching of discipline through bai'at has positive impact on the formation of the character of tenth grade Mualimien students of Pesantren Persatuan Islam 1 Bandung.

Abstract

Penyelenggaraan pendidikan tidak pernah terbebas dari permasalahan. Masalah-masalah yang muncul sangat beraneka ragam. Globalisasi menjadi salah satu faktor yang membuat pengelolaan pendidikan mengalami banyak perubahan. Selain itu, harapan pengguna jasa pendidikan harus benar-benar disikapi. Inovasi dapat menjadi solusi dari permasalahan yang dihadapi. Dengan berinovasi, hal-hal baru yang sesuai perkembangan zaman dan pemenuhan harapan para pengguna jasa pendidikan dapat dilakukan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Metode yang digunakan ialah studi pustaka. Teknik pengolahan data dilakukan dengan menganalisis karya-karya ilmiah yang sesuai dengan topik penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, inovasi dapat menjadi solusi permasalahan pendidikan dikarenakan selalu berupaya menghadirkan hal-hal baru. Setiap inovasi dapat dilakukan dengan cara memilih model dan strategi pelaksanaan yang tepat. Program inovasi, Sumber Daya Manusia, pelaksanaan dan juga anggaran biaya dapat disesuaikan.

Abstract

Islamic education curriculum development dynamics need significant attention from educational practitioners to determine its policies following the expected goals. It is known that Islamic education in Indonesia has not been running as expected due to the output that does not have competence and personality in accordance with the spirit of Islam. This research aimed to develop the Islamic education curriculum by reforming the education goal formulation. This was implemented by adapting the concept of Insan Kamil in the Quran into Islamic education curriculum development. A literature study found that the formulation of Insan Kamil's goals not only includes cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects but also a solid spiritual realm. Consequently, the goal formulation was considered a solution to the development of Islamic education curriculum in producing Insan Kamil, who has faith, piety, and noble character and always has ma'rifatullah.

Abstract

Indeed, innovation and modernization of Islamic education is very necessary and must be carried out continuously. Because with the innovation and modernization in Islamic education, it will provide a positive value for an Islamic educational institution itself, including boarding schools. Studies on innovation and modernization of Islamic education in boarding schools are often found in various forms. The study of innovation and modernization of Islamic education in boarding schools is very interesting because it contains several important elements, first, it is a study that is relevant to the goals of Indonesian education which is in the process of developing education and modernization; second, it can give its own color in Indonesian education; third, it will give birth to an ideal education model for the Indonesian people because it integrates the cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains. In this case, boarding schools have an important role in the innovation and modernization of Islamic education. Because until now they have not stopped innovating and modernizing, so that boarding schools can continue to adapt to innovation and modernization of education in Indonesia. There is a fundamental difference between innovation and modernization which emphasizes the characteristics of each. Innovation emphasizes the characteristics of something that is observed as something new for individuals or society, while modernization emphasizes the process of change from traditional to modern, or from undeveloped to modern. already advanced. In the current context of Islamic education, there are at least three important aspects in relation to modernization, innovation, namely in the aspects of methods, content and management.

Abstract

This study aims to describe religious development as an effort to prevent radicalism in students at SMAN 10 and SMA Karya Pembangunan 2 Bandung. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques using data analysis techniques consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. There are three findings, namely: (1) PAI teachers' perceptions of religious radicalism are twofold, namely a) radicalism is seen as thought b) religious radicalism is seen as action. (2) Factors Affecting Teachers' Perceptions of Religious Radicalism there are two factors, namely factors originating from the perceiver (PAI teachers) and the situation. (3) The preventive efforts of PAI teachers in both schools against the issue of religious radicalism in students are divided into two scopes, namely inside the classroom and outside the classroom. The scope of the class has three efforts, namely (a) Islamic religious education subject matter on the issue of religious radicalism has been discussed by the teacher in the classroom, (b) various learning methods by raising the issue of religious radicalism and tolerance in society, the teacher uses learning methods namely lectures, question and answer, sociodrama and practice, (c) students' knowledge of religious radicalism is diverse and dynamic. Meanwhile . Outside the classroom, the efforts include (a) prayer before and after learning, (b) congregational prayers, (c) religious extracurricular activities, (d) anti-violence task force, (e) creating tolerance in schools.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the development of Islamic behavior of students through the practice of worship at SMAN Bandung. Based on observations and interviews of researchers to several principals of SMAN schools in Bandung who have athlete students, found that not all students who profess to be Muslim to perform worship well during sports practice while in school, only some students who want to perform worship in school, such as performing sunnah prayers or obligatory prayers in school mosques , on the grounds that his clothes are dirty because of sweat, responsibility is training and clashing with training time. Whereas if praying his clothes must be clean and holy. Sometimes, even many students have not prayed if they are not ordered and many others lack. Not infrequently students who when at home and at school show good Islamic behavior, but when outside the house and outside the school shows bad behavior seen in terms of Islam, such as smoking, hanging out on the side of the road, and excessive dating. This study uses qualitative approach with descriptive method. Data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use data analysis techniques consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are: 1) Islamic behavior development program in high school in Bandung, namely congregational prayers before the start and at the end of teaching and learning activities, memorizing Asmaul Husna, reading the Quran 15 minutes before the first hour. 1) learning begins, praying dhuha congregation, praying midday congregation, infaq or setting aside some pocket money for alms. 2) The process of fostering islamic keisk behavior of students through religious practice activities in SMAN throughout Bandung needs to be held, religious lectures, guidance and supervision. 3) The behavior of students after receiving guidance through the practice of worship in SMAN throughout The City of Bandung is quite good. Students can be responsible and disciplined in performing worship. Students can also work together and socialize well.

Abstract

The formation of good character or morality is the core of national education goals as mandated by USPN No. 20 of 2003. To be implemented in life, the process of character building needs to be carried out in a systematic, systemic and continuous way, touching the physical and spiritual dimensions, which need to be built from before birth until the end of life. Pondok Pesantren as the oldest educational institution that is attached to the journey of the nation's life still exists and has been proven to contribute to the formation of the nation's character. Suryalaya Islamic Boarding School with its Sufism and Tarekat is more focused on spiritual education in shaping the character of its practitioners. This study aims to describe family education, riyadhah, and character, as well as how the relationship between these three variables in the formation of the character of TQN pontren Suryalaya practitioners. There are two steps in optimizing the character building of TQN Pontren Suryalaya practitioners. namely: First, family education is the first and foremost find that must be built by parents in their families, especially through example and habituation. Second, riyadhah in the qodiriyah naqsyabandiyah congregation is a ritual that must be carried out continuously and seriously starting from talqin dhikr, practicing dhikr, khataman, kiamullail, manakiban, and pilgrimage. To answer the research questions, a mixed-method (quantitative and qualitative approaches) was used, with survey methods and content analysis. This study concludes several things, namely: (1) The family education of TQN practitioners is generally good, although in this modern era there is a shift in the value of family education, especially role modeling and habituation. (2) Riyadhah is a ritual practice of TQN commanders that is carried out well and consistently, although some rituals such as manaqiban and pilgrimage are still carried out by certain circles due to time constraints, while the character of TQN practitioners is classified as good. (3) Family education is positively and significantly related to the character-building of TQN practitioners at Suryalaya Islamic Boarding School. (4) Riyadhoh is positively and significantly related to the formation of the character of TQN practitioners at the Suryalaya Islamic Boarding School. (5) Family education and Riyadh are positively and significantly related to the character building of the TQN practitioners of the Suryalaya Islamic Boarding School.
