Abstract

General background: UMKM (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) play a crucial role in the economic development of local communities, with packaging and labeling being key elements that can significantly influence consumer behavior and market expansion. Specific background: Many small businesses, such as UMKM Kerupuk Ibu Badroh in Putat Village, lack proper packaging and labeling, which hinders their competitiveness in the market. Knowledge gap: Despite the importance of these factors, there is limited research on how improving packaging and labeling can enhance the market presence of rural MSMEs. Aims: This study aims to increase the purchasing and selling power of UMKM Kerupuk Ibu Badroh by improving labeling and packaging elements through a qualitative, descriptive approach. Results: The implementation of modern and informative labels and functional packaging resulted in a significant increase in consumer confidence, product appeal, and sales. Novelty: This study highlights the transformative impact of packaging and labeling on the competitiveness of rural MSMEs, demonstrating how such improvements can lead to market expansion and enhanced product quality. Implications: The findings suggest that a strategic integration of modern packaging and labeling can strengthen MSME positions in the market, contributing to business sustainability and professionalization.

Abstract

General Background: Family health is a foundational element for building a prosperous society, and Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) plays a crucial role in disease prevention and quality of life improvement. Specific Background: PHBS encompasses various aspects, including sanitation, hygiene, and stress management, which are vital for ensuring family well-being. However, the adoption of PHBS remains uneven across communities, presenting barriers to achieving widespread health benefits. Knowledge Gap: While the importance of PHBS is recognized, there is a lack of effective strategies to raise public awareness and encourage long-term implementation, particularly at the family level. Aims: This study aimed to assess the impact of health information literacy workshops on community awareness and adoption of PHBS, focusing on disease prevention and lifestyle changes within families. Results: The workshop successfully increased public knowledge about PHBS, motivating participants to adopt healthier practices in their daily lives. It also raised awareness about the connection between family health and community well-being, with participants reporting greater intention to implement PHBS in their households. Novelty: This study highlights the effectiveness of workshop-based interventions as a tool for improving health literacy and promoting the widespread adoption of PHBS, especially within family units. Implications: The findings suggest that targeted educational programs, combined with community-based initiatives, can significantly contribute to disease prevention and improve public health outcomes, emphasizing the role of families as key actors in fostering healthier societies.

Abstract

Objective: A clean, tidy classroom with adequate lighting and a cool, stable temperature will encourage students to focus and feel comfortable during the learning process. Room temperatures that are too hot or too cold can disrupt concentration, cause drowsiness, and even cause physical discomfort, which ultimately reduces learning effectiveness. Managing room temperature through good ventilation or optimal use of air conditioning is important. Additionally, a pleasant classroom environment—characterized by positive teacher-student relationships, the use of interactive learning methods, and a supportive emotional atmosphere—is essential. Method: The Waterfall Method is one of the linear and sequential methods used in system or project development. This method includes the initial observation and coordination stage, scheduling of AC cleaning activities, AC cleaning implementation, counseling and education, monitoring and evaluation, which must be completed before proceeding to the next stage, like a waterfall. Results: The classroom AC cleaning program has proven to have a positive impact on air quality and the comfort of the teaching and learning process. Comprehensive AC unit cleaning successfully reduced dust and dirt that could potentially harm the health of students and teachers. Novelty: Observations and questionnaires showed an increase in learning comfort and awareness of the importance of regular AC maintenance. The educational activities conducted also successfully fostered knowledge and awareness among teachers, staff, and students about the importance of maintaining a clean learning environment. This program is expected to serve as the first step in establishing a culture of regular school facility maintenance as a preventive measure to safeguard the health of school community members.

Abstract

East Java is still facing nutritional and child health problems. It is important for society, especially young mothers, to realize how important the nutritional needs of children are. This is because a child's nutritional condition directly affects their physical and mental growth and development. From an early age, it is important to monitor the child's development regularly. In an effort to obtain high-quality human resources, this is done. The growth of the golden period, or golden age, occurs during the first five years of a child's life. Monitoring development from an early stage is crucial to obtaining the right information to provide the right stimulation and nutrition. In the service of this community, we use the method of measuring the nutritional status of young people at Aisyiyah Kempantren Sidoarjo. We used anthropometric standards of weight based on age (Body fat/age) and height based upon age (Height/age), as defined by the WHO. The results showed that 91.89% (68 people out of 74 young people) had good nutritional status, and 8.11% of 6) had better nutritional/obesity status. Teachers and parents are advised to pay more attention to student nutrition so that they can get good nutrition for student health
