Abstract

Bubu merupakan alat tangkap yang dominan digunakan oleh nelayan di Kecamatan Tukak Sadai, Kabupaten Bangka Selatan. Potensi sumber daya ikan dari alat tangkap bubu cukup melimpah dan memiliki harga ekonomis tinggi, khususnya komoditas rajungan sebagai salah satu peluang pendapatan ekonomi daerah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji tingkat kesejahteraan nelayan bubu dan menganalisis strategi pengembangan perikanan bubu serta merekomendasikan peta implementasi strategi pengembangan perikanan bubu di Kecamatan Tukak Sadai, Kabupaten Bangka Selatan berdasarkan administrasi desa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan November hingga Januari tahun 2022 di Desa Tukak, Desa Sadai, Desa Pasir Putih, dan Desa Tiram di Kecamatan Tukak Sadai, Kabupaten Bangka Selatan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis nilai tukar nelayan (NTN), analisis spasial, dan analisis SWOT dengan menggunakan analisis data deskriptif kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi secara langsung dengan melakukan wawancara terhadap nelayan bubu. Penarikan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling dengan rumus Slovin dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 173. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa NTN di Kecamatan Tukak Sadai pada tahun 2022 sebesar 101 sehingga NTN pendapatan sebesar >100 menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat memiliki tingkat kesejahteraan baik. Adapun tiga strategi yang dihasilkan dari pengembangan perikanan bubu adalah adanya pengoptimalan SDM dari dukungan pemerintah dengan rekomendasi wilayah di Desa Tukak, Desa Sadai, Desa Tiram, dan Desa Pasir Putih; peningkatan sarana dan prasarana usaha penangkapan dengan wilayah usaha kegiatan di Desa Sadai; dan perluasan pemasaran produk dengan wilayah rekomendasi di Desa Tukak dan Pasir Putih. Rekomendasi wilayah untuk pengembangan perikanan bubu disajikan dalam bentuk peta.Title: Development Strategy of Bubu Fisheries in Tukak Sadai District, South Bangka RegencyBubu (fish trap) is the dominant fishing gear used by fishers in Tukak Sadai District, South Bangka Regency. The potential of fish resources from this fish trap is quite abundant and has a high economic value, especially crabs that may incrase regional economic income. This study aims to assess the welfare level of fish trap fishers, analyze development strategies and recommend the implementation map of fish traps based on village administration in Tukak Sadai District, South Bangka Regency. This research was conducted in Tukak, Sadai, Pasir Putih and Tiram Villages from November to January 2022. This research employs NTN analysis, spatial analysis and SWOT analysis with quantitative descriptive data analysis. Data collection was carried out by direct observation through interviews with trap fishers. purposive sampling method was used with 173 number of samples are calculated using Slovin formula. The results show that NTN value of Tukak Sadai fishermen was around 135.24 to 240.47; hence, those fishermen income can be categorized as a good welfare because its NTN value was higher than 100. There are 3 strategies to develop the trap fisheries: first, increase in government supports to develop human resources with the regional recommendations of the villages of Tukak, Sadai, Tiram, and Pasir Putih; second, improvement of fisheris facilities and infrastructure in the village of Sadai business activity area; and third, market expansion of fisheries products with recommended areas in Tukak and Pasir Putih villages. Regional recommendations for trap fisheries development are presented in the form of maps.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis produktivitas dan efisiensi perikanan tangkap skala kecil di wilayah konflik pesisir timur Kabupaten Bangka. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tahun 2021 dengan lokasi penelitian adalah sentra nelayan kecil yang meliputi Desa Deniang (Kecamatan Riau Silip) serta Desa Rebo dan Desa Matras (Kecamatan Sungailiat). Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 67 nelayan yang terdiri atas nelayan bagan tancap sebanyak 21 orang, nelayan pancing ulur sebanyak 29 orang, dan nelayan jaring insang hanyut sebanyak 17 orang. Pada musim puncak (April—Oktober), produktivitas rata-rata nelayan bagan tancap mencapai 857,1 kg/trip, nelayan pancing ulur rata-rata 41,1 kg/trip, dan nelayan JIH rata-rata 24,8 kg/trip. Sementara itu, pada musim paceklik (November—Maret), rata-rata produktivitas nelayan turun sebesar 92%. Efisiensi rata-rata nelayan kecil di pesisir timur Kabupaten Bangka cukup baik dengan rata-rata nilai rasio R/C > 1, yaitu nelayan bagan tancap 1,15; nelayan pancing ulur 1,36; dan nelayan JIH dengan nilai 1,35. Nilai efisiensi alat tangkap di wilayah konflik tersebut lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan nilai efisiensi alat tangkap yang sama di wilayah bukan konflik, seperti Desa Tanjung Pura di Kabupaten Bangka Tengah dan Pulau Celagen di Kabupaten Bangka Selatan. Produktivitas nelayan skala kecil di pesisir timur Kabupaten Bangka dapat lebih ditingkatkan melalui inovasi alat bantu rumpon portabel, pengembangan aplikasi untuk mencari titik lokasi ikan, pemanfaatan koperasi perikanan, pengelolaan pesisir berbasis RZWP3K, revitalisasi perairan laut yang terkena dampak aktivitas penambangan, perluasan kawasan konservasi, serta dukungan dan pelindungan nelayan kecil dalam rangka mendukung capaian target indikator SDG 14.Title: Small-Scale Fisheries Efficiency in Conflict Areas in Bangka RegencyThis study aims to analyze the productivity and efficiency of small-scale fisheries in the conflict areas of the eastern coast of Bangka Regency. The research was conducted in a small fishing center, including Deniang Village (Riau Silip Subdistrict), Rebo Village, and Matras Village (Sungailiat Subdistrict) in 2021. The research employs descriptive-quantitative. The respondents were 67 fishers consisting of 21 stationary lift net fishers, 29 hand-line fishers, and 17 drift gill net fishers. During the in-season (April - October), the average productivity of stationary lift net fishers hand-line fisher and drift gill net fishers was 857.1 kg/trip, 41.1 kg/trip, 24.8 kg/trip, respectively. Meanwhile, during the out-of-season (November - March), the average productivity of fishers decreased by 92%. The average efficiency values of the small-scale fishers on the eastern coast of Bangka Regency were moderate, with an average value of R/C ratio > 1, where RC ratio for the stationary lift net, hand-line and drift gill net was 1.15, 1.36 and 1.35, respectively. The efficiency value of fishing gear in the conflict area was lower than that of the same fishing gear in non-conflict areas, such as in Tanjung Pura Village of Central Bangka Regency and Celagen Island of Southeast Bangka. The productivity of small-scale fishers can be further improved through the innovation of portable fishing aggregating device (FAD), the development of applications to find fish location points, utilization of fishery cooperatives, coastal management based on RZWP3K, and revitalization of marine waters affected by mining activities, expansion of conservation areas, as well as support and protection of small-scale fishers in order to support the achievement of SDG 14 indicator targets.

Abstract

Desa Tanah Bawah merupakan salah satu Desa yang terdapat di Kecamatan Puding Besar, Kabupaten Kab.Bangka., Kepulauan Bangka Belitung. Desa Tanah Bawah memiliki potensi besar di ekosistem pesisir seperti ekosistem mangrove yang terdapat di muara sungai upang, Ekosistem-ekosistem pesisir ini, menujang kehidupan masyarakat Desa Tanah Bawah dimana sekitar 30% masyarakat hidup bergantung ke ekosistem tersebut yang berprofesi sebagai penangkap ikan di sepanjang sungai upang. Saat ini masyarakat juga belum mengerti dan mengetahui adanya aturan Perpres No 73 Tahun 2012, yang melarang melakukan penebangan di area hutan mangrove sekaligus mengatur mengenai pelaksanaan dan pengelolaan ekosistem mangrove secara berkelanjutan. Karena keberadaan ekosistem mangrove merupakan habitat tempat tinggal berbagai macam sumberdaya yang bernilai ekonomis. Selain itu sudah terdapat aturan mengenai sanksi yang akan dikenakan ketika masyarakat terbukti tertangkap sedang melakukan kegiatan penebangan mangrove. Sungai upang yang mengalir di daerah Desa Tanah Bawah menyimpan potensi jenis ikan yang sangat tinggi baik itu yang dapat digunakan untuk ikan konsumsi maupun untuk ikan hias. Masyarakat Desa Tanah Bawah mayoritas belum begitu mengetahui ikan apa saja yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk meningkatkan perekonomian warga. Sungai upang menyimpan potensi jenis ikan sebanyak 14 spesies, terdiri dari ikan konsumsi 7 spesies, hias 3 spesies dan konsumsi-hias 4 spesies

Abstract

Tanjung Punai is one of the beach in the coastal area of ​​West Bangka Regency which has conditions in the form of sandy beaches and mangrove ecosystems. These conditions support various biota that live and develop, one of which is the horseshoe crab. Horseshoe crab are aquatic invertebrates belonging to the phylum Arthropoda and the family Limulidae. The morphometric characters of horseshoe crab doves have different variations based on geographical area. This research aims to identify horseshoe crab based on morphology and morphometrics in Tanjung Punai Beach. The research was carried out in April-May 2022 at Tanjung Punai Beach, West Bangka Regency. The research method uses methods purposive sampling as well as data analysis using Independent Samples T-Test and simple linear regression analysis. The species found is Carcinoscorpius rotundicauda and Tachypleus gigas. The significance value is 0.00 (p < 0.05) and the t value thit > ttab shows that there are differences in the average morphometric characters between the two species.

Abstract

Purworejo Regency is located in the south coast of Java where rivers flow into the Indian Ocean. The Jali River in Purworejo becomes a migration route for eels where juvenile eels (glass eels) move from the ocean to freshwater passing through the estuary. During migration, glass eels will make efforts to survive, one of which is to manage their osmotic pressure (osmolarity). With regards to those, a study on the upstream migration of glass eels in Jali River was carried out. Glass eels samplings were conducted using hand-held lift nets at the new moon phase, from 20:00 pm to 4:00 am. Sampling stations included the estuary, a branch river, and below the dam. The osmolarity of both glass eels and media (river water) were measured. Furthermore, the chemical and physical parameters of the waters as the natural habitat for glass eels were also measured. Glass eel samples were then identified to species level. The results showed that glass eels entering the Jali River consisted of Anguilla bicolor bicolor and Anguilla nebulosa nebulosa with the former being the most common. Total length of glass eels ranged between 44.10 to 69.70 mm with total weights 0.08 to 0.54 g. Glass eel migration has a close relation with surface current and tide. The osmotic work level (OWL) of glass eels approaches 0.34 mOsm/l H2O which is close to iso-osmotic. This happened at salinity 0 o/oo so that the glass eels migrate to fresh water which has a lower salinity to achieve iso-osmotic condition.

Abstract

South Bangka Regency is one of the districts that has the potential for fish biodiversity in seagrass meadows when viewed from its area and diversity.  Seagrass beds are areas that have the potential to be conservation sites from an ecological point of view and represent the sustainability of fish resources. This study aims to determine the richness of fish species, fish composition, abundance, diversity, uniformity and dominating fish as well as the relationship of seagrass cover to the abundance and biomass of fish found in southern Bangka Waters.  The study will be conducted in southern Bangka Regency in June 2023 covering 4 stations. Seagrass data collection in the form of seagrass cover using the quadratic transect method and swept area method (sweep) in fish data collection. The results of the study from the four stations there were 243 individuals including 23 species of fish from 18 families namely Alosidae, Apogonidae, Chaetodontidae, Engraulidae, Gerreidae, Labridae, Lethrinidae, Pinguipedidae, Platycephalidae, Scorpaenidae, Siganidae, Sphyraenidae, Syngnathidae, Terapontidae, Ambassidae, Gobiidae, Monacanthidae and Leiognathidae. The highest fish species composition was found at station 4, namely Gerres limbatus by 32.51% with 79 individuals. The abundance value found was 822 ind/ha and fish diversity was categorized as medium, fish uniformity tended to be high and dominance index was low. The abundance and biomass of fish are influenced by the percentage of seagrass cover, where the higher the percentage value of seagrass cover, the higher the abundance value and biomass of fish in the area. Kabupaten Bangka Selatan merupakan salah satu kabupaten yang memiliki potensi biodiversitas ikan di padang lamun jika dilihat dari luasan dan keanekaragamannya.  Padang lamun adalah kawasan yang berpotensi sebagai tempat konservasi dilihat dari sudut pandang ekologis dan mewakili keberlanjutan sumber daya ikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kekayaan jenis ikan, komposisi ikan, kelimpahan, keanekaragaman, keseragaman dan ikan yang mendominasi serta hubungan tutupan lamun terhadap kelimpahan dan biomassa ikan yang ditemukan di Perairan Bangka bagian selatan.  Penelitian dilakukan di Kabupaten Bangka bagian selatan pada bulan Juni 2023 meliputi 4 stasiun. Pengambilan data lamun berupa tutupan lamun menggunakan metode transek kuadrat dan metode swept area (sapuan) pada pengambilan data ikan. Hasil penelitian dari keempat stasiun terdapat 243 individu mencakup 23 spesies ikan dari 18 famili yaitu Alosidae, Apogonidae, Chaetodontidae, Engraulidae, Gerreidae, Labridae, Lethrinidae, Pinguipedidae, Platycephalidae, Scorpaenidae, Siganidae, Sphyraenidae, Syngnathidae, Terapontidae, Ambassidae, Gobiidae, Monacanthidae dan Leiognathidae. Komposisi jenis ikan tertinggi terdapat pada stasiun 4 yaitu Gerres limbatus sebesar 32,51% dengan jumlah individu 79. Nilai kelimpahan yang ditemukan adalah 822 ind/ha dan keanekaragaman ikan dikategorikan sedang, keseragaman ikan cenderung tinggi dan indeks dominansi tergolong rendah. Adapun kelimpahan dan biomassa ikan dipengaruhi oleh persentase tutupan lamun, dimana semakin tinggi nilai persentase tutupan lamun maka semakin tinggi juga nilai kelimpahan dan biomassa ikan di area tersebut.
